Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)This is a complaint about the defective TPMS components in this vehicle. I sent a copy to Acura and Honda Client Relations and to the Dealer (Montano Acura). [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I HAD LEAK IN MY PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE. WHEN CHANGING I NOTICED THE SPARE IS ATTACHED TO THE UNDER CARRIAGE OF MY VEHICLE. I THINK THIS POSES A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE OVER TIME BECAUSE OF WEATHER THE HARDWARE THAT ANCHORS THE TIRE COULD FAIL. IF THAT HAPPENS THE TIRE COULD COME LOSE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. ACURA NEED TO REASSSES THE PLACEMENT OF THEIR SPARE TIRE.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
