Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN MY 2000 ACURA TL UNDER THE NHTSA REQUIRED EXTENDED WARRANTY. I HAD 63,000 MILES ON THE CAR AT THE TIME. WHEN THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION THEY ADVISED ME THAT THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT WAS BROKEN AND ASKED IF I WANTED IT FIXED. I TOLD THEM TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNT, AT A COST OF $163.43. I HAVE OWNED OVER 17 VEHICLES IN MY LIFETIME AND NEVER HAD A BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT. MY WIFE AND I ARE RETIRED AND DO NOT IN ANY WAY DRIVE THE CAR ANY ANY SORT OF ROUGH MANNER. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN ANY ANY ACCIDENTS EITHER. I QUESTION WHY A VEHICLE WITH ONLY 63,000 MILES ON IT SHOULD COME UP WITH A BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT. IS THIS ANOTHER ACURA DEFECT? *NM
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
