I will be driving down the interstate and the car will go into neutral and throw a transmission code. It appears to happened when the car reaches 60mph.
I was driving on the freeway going at the speed of traffic about 65-70mph then suddenly I heard my car engine slowing down and multiple lights popped up on my dashboard. I looked at my speedometer and it indeed was decreasing in speed. I tried to accelerate little by little and it did not. My check brake system, check brake hold system, check power steering system, check VSA system, check hillstart assist system, check emission system lights popped up on my dashboard. My car felt like I was popping the clutch, jerking a lot. I was able to move over to the right shoulder and park. I turned the car off and I was able to turn it back on unfortunately but the lights were still popping up and my car kept jerking and not accelerating. This happened while driving on the highway this is extremely dangerous! There has been others with the same issue.
All lights turned on randomly during drive. Replaced battery 2x seeing it was a common issue in my year acura and also newer models. Still have the issue occuring. All lights from transmission error to lane keep asist ect.
The car is constantly throwing codes for faulty emissions system problem and parking brake problem but the car runs fine. The dealership will not do anything unless I pay them a fee to diagnose it and then they suggest replacing the catalytic converter even though it’s very likely a faulty fuel hose or faulty sensor. This needs to be recalled and fixed immediately
While driving vehicle goes into neutral on its own and will not go back into drive for at least 30 mins.
While driving approx 65 mph on a freeway the vehicle placed itself into neutral and decelerrated as multiple warnings flashed across dashboard. . . “Emissions System Problem”, “Transmission System Problem”, “Electric Parking Brake Problem”. I was able to pull off to the side of an exit ramp but once I put the car in PARK I could not shift into Drive. I could not safely drive/manuever my vehicle to a safer area putting myself and child at risk of being hit. I turned the car on/off multiple times to attempt to shift into Drive, but to no avail. I called the nearest Acura dealer which was in the next town over from where I was stranded. After many failed attempts I was able to put the car in Drive and move my vehicle to the closest road and off to the side but with the warnings still flashing. The last successful attempt I was able to put the car in Drive again and without any further warnings flashing on dashboard. Drove 20 minutes to the nearest Acura Dealer and was charged $300 for the diagnosis and update of 3 systems. Informed DTC Code P0657, actuator supply voltage circuit/open, was found prior to system updates: Transmission Control Module Update, PGM-FI Update, and ABS System Update.
The car was in motion then shifted into a different gear . I didn’t have have control of the gears. A digital “check transmission” warning flashed on the car dashboard. After 2 hours I removed the terminal from the battery in order to move the car. The car stopped in the middle of the road during this problem. Someone could've hit me from behind with my children in the car . One car was close enough to hit me but ended up swerving into a ditch to avoid hitting my car . I spoke to Marietta Acura Dealership in GA and was told there was no recall on my car .
This issue is with the start-stop system. The car fails to restart after it the car stops and the engine shuts off. The car has been serviced twice for this issue. The battery and a cable were replaced at my expense. This resolved the issue for a few months, but it returned again in February of 2022. The battery was replaced under warrantee at that time. This issue has now returned again July, 2022. In at least two of the instances I felt I was extremely at risk as the car was stalled in busy intersections forcing traffic to make emergency stops be hind me or take evasive actions to avoid hitting my car. The normal starting procedure to start the car did not seem to work. There was nothing to indicated to me that there was an issue.
Car has feature that kills engine when at full stop. Car fails to automatically restart, often stalling at intersections and causing a dangerous situation. Car has to be turned off and restarted, a process that can take 15 to 30 seconds. With a brand new battery and/or full charge, the car performs flawlessly. It appears that the electrical demands of the car system exceed the ability of the battery and alternator to meet demand. I currently have an AGM battery less than two years old. We typically have 1 to 3 incidents per month where will forget to disable the auto start system, and the car stalls in busy traffic when at a full stop. We bought the car used in 2017, and this problem has been consistent throughout ownership. Dealer answer is that there is nothing wrong with car.
I was driving to the store, my car jerked really hard, then as I turned the car off bought my items from the store. Coming back my car didn’t want to start at all. All the lights on the dashboard Came on
WHEN DRIVING ON A WINDY ROAD AROUND 40MPH THE CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE CAUSING THE CAR TO SUDDENLY DECELERATE TO 5 MPH WHICH NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BY THE CAR BEHIND ME. THE CAR THEN STARTED DISPLAYING MULTIPLE ERROR CODES ON THE DASH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM, EMISSIONS SYSTEM PROBLEM, BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM, BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM PROBLEM, VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST PROBLEM, HILL START ASSIST PROBLEM, LANE DEPARTURE WARNING PROBLEM).
CONSTANT BATTERY DRAINING FROM UNKNOWN ISSUE WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I AM CURRENTLY ON MY THIRD CAR BATTERY AFTER PURCHASING MY CAR IN JANUARY 2016 WITH 108 MILES ON THE CAR. I HAVE BEEN USING A PORTABLE BATTERY JUMPER FOR THE LAST MONTH BECAUSE OF THIS ON GOING ISSUE. THE CAR WOULD NOT START AFTER PARKING OVERNIGHT AND HAVE CAUSED A DISTURBANCE IN MY LIFE BEFORE COMMUTING TO AND FROM WORK, ALONG WITH TO COVID19 VACCINATION APPOINTMENTS. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE AUTO START/STOP FUNCTION WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AT A RED LIGHT WHERE THE ENGINE IS SUPPOSE TO TURN OFF AND BACK ON IN ORDER TO BE GAS EFFICIENT. I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO TURN OF THE FEATURE DUE TO THE CAR DYING COMPLETELY IN AT A RED LIGHT AND CAUSING A TRAFFIC JAM. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE CAUSED ADDITIONAL INCONVENIENCE IN MY DAILY COMMUTE. I BELIEVE BOTH ISSUES ARE RELATED AND IT IS AN ISSUE WITH ACURA DUE TO MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY WHEN I HAVE DONE RESEARCH WITHIN ACURA TLX FORUMS.
AFTER A TRAFFIC LIGHT STOP, I ACCELERATED AND THE CAR LOST ACCELERATION, THEN THE CHECK ENGINE TURNED ON. I PULLED OVER AND HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THE ACCELERATOR. CHECK ENGINE WAS FLASHING. I TURNED OFF THE CAR THEN TURNED IT BACK ON, AND PROBLEM WAS GONE ACCELERATION CAME BACK. I MERGE INTO MY LANE AGAIN AND NOT EVEN 100 FT WHEN MY DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. EVERY LIGHT IN MY DASH WAS LIT. THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE LIGHTS THAT WERE ON. POWER STEERING PARK CHECK ENGINE ADAPTABLE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM COLLISION SIGN SEATBELT TRACTION CONTROL OIL LIGHT ABS COLLISION LIGHT BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM ACC LKAS VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST THE ISSUE APPEARED TO BE ELECTRICAL SINCE THE MECHANICAL PARTS OF THE CAR LOOKED OK. I DROVE THE CAR HOME AT 55 MPH SINCE THATS AS FAST AS IT WILL LET ME DRIVE IT. I STOPPED AT A AUTOZONE TO SCAN THE OBD COMPUTER AND JUST A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 2 CODE CAME UP WHICH IS STRANGE THAT A MISFIRE WOULD CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. NO OTHER CODES CAME OUT. NOTE: CAR HAD NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON BEFORE THIS IN 179,000 MILES WE HAVE OWNED IT. WENT HOME DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY THEN HOOK IT BACK ON. PROBLEM WENT AWAY. IT HASNOT HAPPENED IN 12 HRS. THE ISSUE IS I DONT TRUST THE CAR ANYMORE. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FREEWAY 10 AT 80 MPH WITH TRAFFIC, I WOULD HAVE CAUSE A DEADLY CRASH. THEN I LOOKED ON YOU TUBE AND THERE IS PRACTICALLY DOZENS OF ACURA OWNERS WITH IDENTICAL ISSUES, SOME OF THEM AVOIDED CRASHES BECAUSE OF LOSS OF POWER. DEALERS CANT FIND SOLUTIONS, IN THE COMMENTS SECTION ALL I READ IS PEOPLE ASKING IF SOMEONE FOUND A SOLUTION. SEEMS LIKE HONDA SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT , TO KEEP THEIR COSTUMERS SAFE. HOPE THIS LETTER GETS TO THEM AND NHTSA DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, BEFORE IT TAKES SOMEONE'S LIFE.
ACURA TLX 2015 CONSISTANT DRAINING BATTERY ISSUE FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED MARCH 2019 WHILE UNDER WARRANTY, MALFUNCTIONED 9 MONTHS LATER (DEC. 2019) AND WAS FINALLY REPLACED ELSEWHERE FEBRUARY 2020 (DUE TO ONGOING DISPUTE WITH ACURA)... NOW FEBRUARY 2021 THE SAME BATTERY DRAINING ISSUE HAS RETURNED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 ACURA TLX. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE SAFETY WARNING BRAKE LIGHT, LANE DEPARTURE AND STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE VEHICLE AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER THE VEHICLE INTO A PARKING LOT WHERE THEY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO LOCAL DEALER PROCTOR ACURA (3523 W TENNESSEE ST, TALLAHASSEE, FL 32304) WHO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS THE REAR ACTUATORS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000. *LN*JB VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. CONSUMER STATED DEALER PULLED THE CODES OFF THE VEHICLE SHOWING ONLY WHAT PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.*JB
THE CAR WILL CLICK WHEN I'M TRYING TO START IT WONT START CHANGED THE BATTER, STARTER. BUT BEFORE THIS THE TAIL LIGHTS WENT OUT THE ALARM BEEPS WHEN I LOCK THE DOORS WONT BEEP AND NOW IT WONT START.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON INTERSTATE I 84 IN MY CAR ENGINE STOPPED. I PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON WITHOUT POWER STEERING WITHOUT POWER BREAKING AND WHEN I WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND I TRIED TO START MY CAR IN THE VEHICLE WAS JUST CLICKING. ONCE I GOT THE CAR HOME I TESTED THE BATTERY AND I TESTED THE ALTERNATOR BOTH OF WHICH ARE WORKING FINE THE STARTER SOMEHOW SHUT MY CAR OFF. THIS ISSUE ALSO OCCURS EVERY TIME I USE THE AUTOMATIC ENGINE STOP START AT RED LIGHTS KEEPING ME FROM USING THAT FEATURE OF MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY
