THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF AFTER 57500 MILES. VERY VERY OCCASIONALLY THE ISSUE GOES AWAY. BUT IT IS PERSISTENT FOR MOST OF THE TIME. DIAGNOSED WITH NO FAULT CODES. IT IS A NIGHTMARE TO TAKE A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. I TOOK THE CAR TO AN OUTSIDE TECHNICIAN TWICE BUT BOTH THE TIMES MY CAR DID NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. HE DID NOT BELIEVE ME AND THINKS I'M WASTING HIS TIME. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE IF IGNORED. SINCE NO ONE BELIEVES ME, I DO NOT WHAT TO DO. THE ISSUE HAS BECOME WORSE. AUDI NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AS SAFETY IS AT STAKE.
KNOWN TSB BY AUDI FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING SHAFT. TURNING BECOMES DIFFICULT AND HAPPENS RANDOMLY. SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. HAPPENS WHEN BOTH STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. I FEAR THAT IF THIS HAPPENS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED THAT I COULD CRASH.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I HAVE HAD AN EPC AND COOLANT SENSOR ISSUE FOR THE PAST MONTH, BUT IT TOOK AUDI 1 MONTH TO FINALLY INFORM ME OF THE RECALL NOTICE. THEY ISSUED THE RECALL MAY 15, 2018 BUT I RECEIVED THE LETTER JUNE 15, 2018. IN ADDITION, AUDI DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION TO REPAIR THE DAMAGED PARTS.
REAR COIL OF SUSPENSION BROKE ON DRIVERS SIDE, 49800 MILES ON THE CAR. INDEPENDENT SHOP AND DEALER CLAIM IT IS COMMON AND I FIND IT WEIRD FOR A PART TO FAIL (IT SNAPPED) AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE. I WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY HARD HITS OR POT HOLES THAT I HAD HIT OUTSIDE OF NORMAL DRIVING. THE PART WAS A HAZARD AS IT WAS LOOSE BOUNCING INSIDE OF SUSPENSION AND MADE A NOISE. NO SENORS WENT OFF DUE TO THE FAILED PART.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (AUDI OF LYNBROOK, 855 SUNRISE HWY, LYNBROOK, NY 11563) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V229000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT REFUSED TO REIMBURSE THE CONTACT FOR THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,400.
EPC FUEL PUMP FAILURE, DEALER NOT RESPONDING, NO REMEDY YET, ENGINE MAY EXPLODE UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 AUDI A4. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (AUDI FARMINGTON HILLS, 37911 GRAND RIVER AVE, FARMINGTON HILLS, MI 48335) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
13 AUDI A4 WITH APPROX 56K MILES - THE STEERING WHEEL HAS STARTED OFFER INCONSISTENT RESISTANCE TO DRIVER INPUT. THE STEERING WHEEL APPEARS TO INTERMITTENTLY LOSE THE ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST WHICH IMPACTS DRIVERS ABILITY TO JUDGE THE AMOUNT OF FORCE IT WOULD TAKE TO MAKE A TURN OR CHANGE A LANE. ISSUE OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AT VARIOUS SPEEDS INCLUDING THE VEHICLE BEING STATIONARY. WHILE ROTATING THE WHEEL, IT FEELS LIKE THE STEERING HAS HIT A DEAD END AFTER TURNING A MEAGRE 20 DEGREES, UPON ADDITIONAL FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL WILL ROTATE FURTHER. THIS BEHAVIOR IS INTERMITTENT WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO DRIVE THE CAR SAFELY THROUGH TURNS AND AT HIGH SPEEDS.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT ROAD SPEED (30MPH) STEERING LOCKED UP, NO WARNING. IT WAS AS IF POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. YOU COULD MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL ABOUT 15 DEGREE WITHOUT ANY IMPACT; BEYOND THAT YOU NEEDED TO TURN THE WHEEL VERY HARD. TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CAR HAS 54K MILES. FIXED BY AUDI (OUT OF WARRANTEE) - ELECTRIC STEERING FAILURE AND UNIVERSAL STEERING RACK FAILURE. ACCORDING TO AUDI, IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH A4 FROM 2013 AT ABOUT 50K MILES - CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. IF I WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED IT'S UNCLEAR I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR.
ELECTRIC COOLING PUMP DEFECT THAT BLED ONTO THE POWER STEERING RACK RENDERING THE CAR INOPERABLE - LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID DO NOT DRIVE DEFECTIVE STEERING. $3770 TO REPLACE BOTH THE RACK AND PINION AND THE COOLING SYSTEM. THIS WAS DONE IN MAY. NO REFUND HAS COME THROUGH AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. RECALL SAYS REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE YET - I NEED THE MONEY NOW.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AUDI SILVER SPRING (3151 AUTOMOBILE BOULEVARD, SILVER SPRING, MD 20904) FOR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE COOLANT AND THE ENGINE NEEDED REPLACEMENT. IN MAY OF 2018, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE A SOFTWARE WAS UPDATE PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V002000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM
WHEN I BACK OUT FROM MY GARAGE THE VEHICLE FAILS TO MOVE FORWARD WHEN THE SHIFTER IS MOVED FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE. I HAVE TO APPLY AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO THE ACCELERATOR TO GET THE CAR TO MOVE FORWARD. WHEN THE FRONT WHEELS ENGAGE, THE EXCESSIVE FORCE FROM INCREASING THE POWER CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LAUNCH FORWARD MANY TIMES ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLE WITH THE FRONT TIRES SQUEALING. IT APPEARS THE FRONT BRAKES ARE ENGAGED AND SUDDENLY DISENGAGES AND THEN SUDDENLY LAUNCHES FORWARD. THERE HAS BEEN NO ASSISTANCE FROM THE DEALERSHIP TO ASSIST WITH THE PROBLEM. THIS ISSUE ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPENS AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS SETTING OVERNIGHT IN MY GARAGE AND BACKING DOWN A SLIGHT SLOPE TONTO THE PUBLIC STREET.. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR THE PAST 3 PLUS YEARS OF OWNERSHIP.
DRIVE HOME WITH MY WIFE AND LOSS ALL CONTROL OF STEERING IT ALMOST GOT US KILLED AND MAY BE MORE,CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN KEEP IN GARAGE AND DRIVEN VERY LITTLE CAR HAS ONLY 24.K MILES ON IT.HAD AAA TO PICK IT UP AND TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP ( AUDI OF DAYTON).LOOKING ON LINE AND DOING SOME CHECKING IT LOOKS LIKE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE,DO WE WAIT UNTILL SOMEBODY GETS KILLED BEFORE A RECALL IS DONE?
MY 2013 AUDI A4 QUATTRO HAS 52,346 MILES. THIS WEEK, WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, I EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT RESTRICTION IN THE STEERING WHILE TURNING THE WHEEL TO CHANGE LANES AND MAKE TURNS RIGHT AND LEFT. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MY LOCAL AUDI DEALER AND TOOK THE CAR IN FOR INSPECTION. THE SERVICE TECH CONFIRMED THAT THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT WHICH IS CAUSING THE STIFFNESS AND BINDING THAT IS INTERFERING WITH THE FREE MOVEMENT OF THE UNIVERSAL JOINTS. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT. FURTHERMORE, I'VE SINCE ASCERTAINED THAT AUDI HAS A "TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN" REGARDING THIS ISSUE DATING TO JULY 10, 2014 COVERING A NUMBER OF AUDI MODELS AND MODEL YEARS BUT HAS NOT INSTITUTED A RECALL. (SEE ATTACHED) IN ADDITION, I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE THAT THE SPECIFIC PART IS CURRENTLY ON BACKORDER AND MAY TAKE FROM TWO WEEKS TO TWO MONTHS. HE LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE AS MANY AS THIRTY (30) CUSTOMERS AWAITING THIS PARTICULAR PART. I HAVE BEEN ADDED ME TO THE WAIT LIST. I ASKED THE SERVICE TECH ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUE AND IF IT'S AT ALL POSSIBLE THAT I COULD EXPERIENCE TOTAL STEERING LOSS WHILE DRIVING. HE SAID THAT ALTHOUGH THAT'S NOT LIKELY, IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION WHERE I MAY NEED TO SWERVE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT THAT THE STEERING RESPONSE COULD BECOME AN ISSUE. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS DO I DRIVE THE CAR WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART? AUDI IS NOT AT THIS MOMENT PROVIDING ANY ASSISTANCE IN THE WAY OF A LOANER VEHICLE SO I'M ON MY OWN. I'VE UPLOADED THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 AUDI A4. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND THEN TO THE DEALER (MAGUIRE AUDI, 370 ELMIRA ROAD, ITHACA, NEW YORK). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING SHAFT WAS SEVERELY CORRODED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. *TT *TR
THE CAR DOESN'T ENGAGE IMMEDIATE PROPULSION WHEN STARTING FROM A STOPPED POSITION. IT HESITATES, THEN JERKS, AND FINALLY DRIVES. IT IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERN WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. SOMETIMES THE GAS RESPONDS, AND OTHER TIMES DOESN'T. THE AUDI DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY'VE GOTTEN COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT, BUT THAT IT'S "NORMAL" FOR THE FWD MODELS OF THE CAR. MY WIFE WON'T DRIVE IT ANYMORE BECAUSE SHE THINKS IT'S TOTALLY UNSAFE AND UNPREDICTABLE. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED A FEW WEEKS AGO AND THOUGHT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS JUST OCCURRING BECAUSE THE CAR NEEDED NEW TIRES.
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN APRIL, ANOTHER LETTER IN JUNE, AND A 3RD LETTER IN SEPTEMBER. THIS IS THE AFTER RUN COOLANT PUMP RECALL 19N4. NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AFTER MANY MONTHS, AND AUDI RECOMMENDS THAT CAR BE PARKED OUTSIDE, NOT IN GARAGE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS WE LIVE IN MASSACHUSETTS AND WINTER IS COMING SOON.
AFTER TWO TEST DRIVES WE PURCHASED A USED AUDI A4 ON 2/10/2018. WHILE TEST DRIVING WE DIDN'T NOTICE ANY ISSUES WITH STEERING, BUT THE FOLLOWING DAY WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR WE NEARLY SIDE SWIPED A TRACTOR TRAILER ON THE I80 OHIO TURNPIKE. THE STRAIGHT LINE STEERING IN THIS VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE, SCARY AND DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS AT ANY SPEEDS ABOVE 20+ MPH. NHTSA ISSUED A VEHICLE SAFETY RECALL TO REPLACE THE AUXILIARY HEATER, I GUESS I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE AUXILIARY HEATER IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THIS STEERING PROBLEM. STEERING COMPLAINTS CLEARLY OUTNUMBER OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE, BUT SEARCH OUTSIDE OF THIS SITE AND SEE JUST HOW WIDESPREAD THIS PROBLEM IS. AUDI IS WELL AWARE OF THE ISSUE, A TSB HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SOFTWARE CHANGES AND STEERING RACK, NEITHER ADDRESS THE ISSUE, AND BOTH ARE AT THE CUSTOMER EXPENSE. IT'S TIME FOR NHTSA TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE STEERING COMPLAINTS AND ISSUE THE SAFETY RECALL THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN ISSUED YEARS AGO. LET'S DO IT BEFORE A FAMILY IS KILLED.
BOUGHT MY 2013 AUDI A4 USED I NOTICE A NOTCHY FEEL WHILE DRIVING JUST AFTER I BOUGHT IT, BUT THOUGHT THIS WAS NORMAL. AS TIME WENT ON IT BECAME MORE UNCOMFORTABLE AND FELT UNSAFE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS(OR SLOW SPEEDS) WHEN YOUR STEERING WHEEL WOULD MOVE TO THE LEFT & RIGHT WHILE DRIVING. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND THERE ARE PLENTY MORE PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM, SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AND AUDI KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT WANTS YOU TO PAY FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT MIGHT COST YOU $150 - $200......PLEASE HELP GET THIS RECALLED BY AUDI!
TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER FAILURE AT 114KM , CAUSED THE TIMING CHAIN TO SKIPS A TOOTH OR TWO, RESULTS IN ENGINE DAMAGED TO THE HEAD VALVES AND ENTIRE ENGINE SHUT DOWN, THIS COULD RESULTS IN FATAL CAR ACCIDENTS DURING DRIVING TO EVERYONE.
REAR ENDED A TRUCK AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ON A HIGHWAY AND AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
TAKATA RECALL - REARENDED A STOPPED TRUCK AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. CAR IS TOTALED. AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF DESPITE MASSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE.
MY CAR DEVELOPED A FUEL TANK LEAK SPONTANEOUSLY. I NOTICED THAT AFTER FILLING MY TANK AND ONLY DRIVING 100MILES BACK AND FORTH FROM WORK OVER 2-3 DAYS THE I HAD TO REFUEL. AND THEN I NOTICED A HUGE POOL OF GASOLINE AFTER I LEFT MY PARKED AND SAW FUEL DRIPPING FROM THE BOTTOM. AND THEN MY CAR SMELLED OF GAS WHEN I TURNED ON MY CAR. I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AND THERE WAS FUEL TANK LEAK...I COULD'VE DIED IN AN EXPLOSION OF FIRE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT AUDI HAS HAD 241K RECALLS BUT THE INDICATOR LIGHT IN CAR DOESN'T GO OFF TO NOTIFY YOU OF MALFUNCTION THAT IS LIFE THREATENING.
DRIVING 65MPH ON HIGHWAY THE STEERING LIGHT WENT OFF AND STEERING WHEEL BECOME STIFF AND NOTCHY.
THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD LOCK UP IN CERTAIN SPOTS AND BECOME DIFFICULT TO TURN WHILE DRIVING OR AT REST. THERE IS A CURRENT TSB FOR THIS ISSUE TSB#-48-14-61 AND IT INVOLVES REPLACING THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT. THIS SHOULD BE CHARACTERIZED AS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE UNPREDICTABILITY OF OCCURENCES WHILE IN MOTION ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS AND WHILE CORNERING. IF THERE ARE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO RELEASE A TSB AND IT INVOLVES STEERING AT HIGH SPEEDS I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PART.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING IS NOTCHY OR NON EXISTENT AT TIMES. HAVE HAD THE ENTIRE RACK REPLACED AND RECALIBRATED. IT LASTED ABOUT TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE PROBLEM COMES BACK. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR WARNING LIGHT. HAS POWER STEERING AT TIMES THEN SENDS THE CAR ALL OVER WITHOUT WARNING. VERY UNSAFE.
I JUST BOUGHT AN 2013 AUDI A4 ON 4/6/17, I DROVE IT FOR A WEEK AND THE CAR STARTED TO GIVE ME TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION WARNING, THE CAR JERKS AND CLUNKS WHEN GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND OR EVEN WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 36,000 MILES. I BELIEVE AUDI NEEDS TO STEP UP AND MAKE THIS A MANDATORY RECALL BECAUSE THERE IS ENTIRELY TO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE MECHATRONIC UNITS ON SUCH LOW MILEAGE AUDI'S. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON MY OLD 2006 AUDI A4 AND GOT IT FIXED FOR A FEW THOUSAND, NOW I HAVE TO DO THE SAME WITH MY 2013 AUDI A4. I FEEL THIS IS NOT FAIR AND THE COMPANY IS STEALING MONEY TO REPAIR A PART THEY KNOW IS GOING TO FAIL. PLEASE HELP ME AND HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. THANKS.
THE STEERING BECOME INTERMITTENTLY STIFF BOTH WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. TURNS WERE HARDEST TO MAKE AT SLOW SPEEDS. THE STEERING GOT PROGRESSIVELY HARDER AS TIME WENT ON (SEVERAL WEEKS). I INITIALLLY THOUGHT THE ISSUE WAS THE WINTER TIRES, BUT THOSE WERE CHANGED AND THE PROBLEM WORSENED. NOW IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE POWER STEERING HAS COMPLETELY FAILED. IT TAKES CONSIDERABLE EFFORT TO MAKE ANY TURN AT ANY SPEED.
THE ISSUE APPEARED IN COLD WEATHER. WHEN STATIONARY THE ISSUE LOOK LIKE A 'ZONE', LOCATED APPROXIMATELY EVERY 90 DEGREES WHEN YOU TURN WHEEL RIGHT/LEFT, WHERE THE WHEEL IS 'JAMMING' AND DRIVER HAVE TO APPLY AN EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL FURTHER OR BACK TO NEUTRAL. IN MOTION THE ISSUE LOOK LIKE 'JAMMED WHEEL': IT'S HARD TO TURN WHEEL MORE THAN 90 DEGREES RIGHT/LEFT AND... IF IT'S ALREADY ROTATED AND 'IN THE ZONE', IT REQUIRE AN EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TURN THE WHEEL BACK TO NEUTRAL. THE WHEEL WILL NOT RETURN TO CENTER POSITION THEMSELVES AS IT DOES WHEN STEERING BEHAVE NORMALLY. OVERALL ISSUE FEELS LIKE FAILING POWER ASSIST.
ON JAN 22 2017 I WAS DRIVING IN BLIZZARD CONDITIONS FOLLOWING A FEW VEHICLES WHEN MY WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND STARTED GRINDING. AS A RESULT I LOST COMPLETE VISIBILITY AND NEARLY CAUSE A 3 CAR ACCIDENT AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I FIRST SPOKE WITH A LADY IN AUDI CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO INFORMED ME THERE WAS NOTHING SHE COULD DO AND LATER I GOT A HOLD OF [XXX] WHO INFORMED ME I HAD TO GO TO AN AUDI DEALER AND PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS FOR THEM TO HELP ME IN ANY WAY. I INFORMED THEM THAT THE DEALER WAS 120 MILES AWAY AND WAS DUE TO THE CONTINUOUSLY SNOWY CONDITIONS I COULD NOT GO TO PHOENIX TO GET THE DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE MY WIPERS WERE SEIZED AND IT IS STILL SNOWING HEAVILY. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SAFETY HAZARD I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS ANYWAYS. I ASKED HIM FOR HIS MANAGERS INFORMATION AND HE REFUSED. I WAS THEN INFORMED THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN A FEW DAYS... THE NATURE OF THE ISSUE IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND CANNOT BE PENDING BASED OFF THE LEISURE OF A HIGHER UP. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTROMECHANICAL STEERING.
CAR FAILS TO START VIA THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. YOU HAVE TO WIGGLE THE KEY TO GET THE IGNITION TO START. BATTERY IN KEY FOB IS OK AS IT OPENS AND LOCKS THE CAR WITH NO ISSUE. SEEMS TO BE A SOFTWARE, OR LOOSE CONNECTION ISSUE.

AFTER RESEARCHING THEY FOUND THEY COULD DISABLE THE AUTOMATIC LOCKING SYSTEM WHICH THEY DID FOR ME. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY HOT DAY WITH A CHILD LOCKED IN THE CAR, PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THIS SYSTEM AND THAT THEY CAN LOCK A CHILD OR A NON ABLE BODIED PERSON OR ANIMAL IN A CAR. *TR

DOES NOT PULL IN ANY DIRECTION BUT RATHER REMAINS IN WHATEVER DIRECTION NEEDED TO CORRECT TO TRAVELING IN STRAIGHT LINE. LITTLE INPUT TO GO LEFT, REMAINS TRAVELING SLIGHTLY LEFT. SAME THING CORRECTING TO RIGHT. AUDI AWARE OF PROBLEM BUT HAS NO DEFINITE FIX. VERY PRONOUNCED AT LOWER TEMPS ESPECIALLY BELOW FREEZING WHICH DOES NOT HELP IN THE ADIRONDACKS. AFTER THE UPDATE THE NOTCHY FEELING STARTED OCCURRING AROUND TOWN (35-55MPH). IT CAN MAKE STAYING IN THE LANE DIFFICULT. SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE THE STEERING WHEEL IS FIGHTING AGAINST YOU A LITTLE.
