THE DEALER (AUDI FAIRFIELD, 435 COMMERCE DR., FAIRFIELD, CT 06825) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT RECENTLY RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS ABOUT TAKATA FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I JUST BECAME AWARE OF THIS RECALL.
"TAKATA RECALL'' THEY HAVE YET TO SEND THE AIRBAGS TO AUDI TO BEGIN REPLACING THE DANGEROUS AIR BAGS. ALSO AUDI HAS NOT TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY IN REPLACING MY READ LEFT AND RIGHT SEAT BELTS THE BOTH GOT STUCK IN THE HOUSING. SO I CANNOT HAVE NONE IN BACK OR IN PASSENGER SEAT. NEED HELP

THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT UNLATCHED INDEPENDENTLY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
