The contact mentioned that every time that it rained the failure recurred and the heated seat was operating on and off independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the amplifier needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 76,000.
THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED TWICE. THE ONLY COMMON FACTOR I CAN IDENTIFY IS A GREAT DEAL OF RAIN PRIOR TO THIS. MY TAILGATE HAS OPENED TWICE BY ITSELF. WHEN THIS OCCURS, IT TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES TO CLOSE. I'VE HAD THE DEALER LOOK AT IT. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE VIRTUALLY TAKEN THE WHOLE THING APART, AND CANNOT FIND THE SOURCE OF THIS PROBLEM. *TR
