Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)CONTINUAL PROBLEM - CAR HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP OR LOW SPEED. THERE IS A PAUSE BETWEEN STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR AND RESPONSE FROM THE ENGINE. COMPLAINED NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE YEARS TO SEVERAL DEALERS - SOME ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM BUT STATED THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT ENGINE. THEY SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM IN LATER MODELS BUT DID NOT EVEN TRY IN THE EARLIER ONES. IT CAN BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHEN ACCELERATION IS NEEDED. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
