Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Driving on the highway, the sunroof above me (the driver) shattered. There was no impact or any issue on the road, the glass shattered suddenly and for no apparent reason. Very scary (luckily I had the sliding shade closed so no shards fell on me)! After pulling over I called BMW roadside assistance, was picked up and dropped at the nearest BMW dealship/body shop, who confirmed that they’ve “seen this before” and replaced the glass by the afternoon of the following day. The repair was covered by the car’s warranty.
