Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW Z4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY ACCELERATE BECAUSE ONCE THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO NORMAL SPEED, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE GRADUALLY AT A HIGHER SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED THAT WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT WITH THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
