Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)The rear suspension is not able to handle passengers in the back seat. Passengers in the back seat experience pain in the lower back on even small bumps in the road. It seems as though the rear springs are inadequate to keep the shocks from bottoming out and causing pain to the passengers. On a 5-hour drive, my adult son experienced so much pain from the ride that he took two days off work to recover. I took the vehicle for service and asked them to look at it. The service writer at the dealer told me it is a known problem that they cannot fix without a recall on the rear springs.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
