I CLOSED THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. I THEN LOCKED THE CAR. LATER AFTER UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN; FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. IT APPEARS TO BE LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. AFTER CHECKING FORUMS I SEE THAT THERE ARE MANY BUICK LUCERNE OWNERS THAT HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THIS CAR. I'M SCARED TO PUT MY CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT BY CHANCE WE ARE IN A ACCIDENT AND THEY ARE INJURED. *TR
THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT SUDDENLY APPEARED ON OR ABOUT THE ABOVE DATE. THE LIGHT ABOVE THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD DISPLAYS "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF". THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. I DO NOT DRIVE DUE TO A SELF IMPOSED DECISION RELATING TO MEDICAL PROBLEMS. MY WIFE IS 63 Y/O AND A VERY CAREFUL DRIVER WITH A "SAFE DRIVER" DRIVERS LICENSE (MINE IS ALSO DESIGNATED IN THIS WAY). I AM A PASSENGER IN THE CAR ABOUT 99% OF THE TIME SHE IS DRIVING. NEITHER OF US CAN RECALL A TIME WHEN ANYTHING OCCURRED THAT WOULD HAVE SET THIS OFF. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A LIGHT POLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS NOTIFIED OF RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 14V355000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL SINCE THE PARTS NEEDED WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER TO REMEDY THE RECALL REPAIR WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURES CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED FROM THE CRASH THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE REAR DOOR LOCKS ON THE 2006 BUICK LUCERNE HAVE A FUNDAMENTAL DESIGN FLAW. IF THE REAR SEAT PASSENGER PULLS THE DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR WHILE THE DOOR IS LOCKED, AND HOLDS IT IN PLACE WHEN THE POWER LOCK MECHANISM ATTEMPTS TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, THE MECHANISM BINDS INTERNALLY MAKING THE DOOR IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN. THIS HAS OCCURRED 5 TIMES ON OUR LUCERNE OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS. THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR IS REMOVE THE INNER DOOR PANEL. REACH INTO THE LOCK THROUGH THE ACCESS HOLES AND FREE UP THE MECHANISM. UNTIL THE DOOR IS REPAIRED THE BACKSEAT PASSENGER SITTING NEXT TO THE FROZEN DOOR CANNOT GET OUT. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE ENGINEERING TEAM AT GM HAS NOT DISCOVERED A FIX FOR THIS CONDITION. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND DANGEROUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR LOCKS WOULD NOT UNLOCK ELECTRONICALLY OR MANUALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE DOOR LOCKS WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. RACK AND PINION HAD TO BE REPLACED. NOW WE ARE AT 120,000 MILES AND IT IS ALREADY MAKING THE SAME NOISE AGAIN!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT THIS GOING OUT AGAIN ALREADY. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 4 TIMES. WE ASKED THE BUICK DEALER IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY COMPLAINTS AND THEY SAID NO. IT HAS HAPPENED THE LAST 4 YEARS AND AGAIN TODAY AND IT IS KIND OF SCARY AS IT COULD BE DANGEROUS IF WE DIDN'T PUT OUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE FIRMLY WHEN IT HAPPENS. WHAT HAPPENS IS IF WE ARE PULLING INTO A PARKING PLACE OR OUR GARAGE SLOWING TO A STOP THE ACCELERATOR GOES DOWN ON ITS OWN AND IF WE DID NOT PUT OUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE IT WOULD TAKE OFF ON ITS OWN. IT LAST ONLY A FEW SECONDS MAYBE 5 OR SO AND THEN IT STOPS. WE HAVE CHECKED THE FLOOR MAT AND THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STATED SERVICE STABILITRAC AND THEN WENT OFF.TWO WEEKS LATER CAME ON AGAIN, AND WENT OFF.THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AND VIBRATE AS BRAKES WERE APPLIED WHEN STOPPING.ABOUT A MONTH AFTER THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR BEGAN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 50 MILES PER HOUR AND MAKING A NOISE THAT WAS LOUD ENOUGH TO HEAR AS IT SOUNDED LIKE THE PRESSING OF THE BRAKES TO THE WHEEL HUBS.MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER AND I TURNED AROUND WENT BACK HOME AND PARKED THE CAR AND DROVE MY TRUCK TO VISIT OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS THAT DAY.TWO WEEKS LATER I TOOK THE BUICK 2006 LUCERNE TO HAVE A GM CERTIFIED MECH PUT IT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND THE REPORTED THAT NOTHING SHOWED UP AS NEEDING REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT, SHE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS TRAVELING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED HOWEVER, NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A FRACTURED BACK AND A SEPARATED, AND BROKEN KNEE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. MY CAR'S TRANSMISSION DID NOT COME OUT OF PARK AT A LARGE GAS STATION. THE CAR COULD NOT BE MOVED BUY ANY MEANS. AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO VARIOUS REPAIR SHOPS I WAS TOLD THAT THE BRAKE INTERLOCK PIN WOULD NOT RELEASE. I WAS TOLD THAT GM DID NOT BUILD AN OVERRIDE INTO THE SHIFTER. AFTER 1 PLUS HOURS OF TRYING THE PIN FINALLY RELEASED. BY NOT PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK I GOT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THAT THE PART WAS SUPERSEDED TWICE. THE PART FAILED THREE TIMES BEFORE IT WAS REPAIRED. THE CAR COULD HAVE LOCKED UP IN A MORE DANGEROUS SITUATION THAN MINE. *TR
WHEN DRIVING AND ACCELERATING, VEHICLE LOOSES POWER. THIS IS DANGEROUS. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THE SPEED DOES NOT PLAY A PART IN THIS PROBLEM NOR DOES THE AMOUNT OF GAS IN THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WILL LOSS POWER AND HAVE A BIG JERK AND BANG WHEN ACCELERATING OUT OF A PARKED POSITION. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE STALL WHEN TURNING ONTO A STREET AND START BACK UP. THIS MORNING IN PULLING OUT ONTO A BUSY STREET IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD,THE CAR LOST POWER, BUT REGAINED POWER BEFORE I GOT HIT. THIS IS DANGEROUS. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD IF THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN NO CODES WILL BE SET TO FIND THE PROBLEM. SO WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS CAR? I KNOW I HAVE PASSED THE LEMON LAW. I HAVE NO WARRANTY LEFT. BUT MY MAIN CONCERN IS SAFETY, NOT ONLY MYSELF BUT FOR OTHERS. JUST SAYING WHAT IF THIS MORNING MY CAR HAD NOT REGAINED POWER AND THAT FAMILY IN THE CAR WITH THEIR BABIES COULDN'T STOP AND HIT ME. I DON'T WANT TO THINK THAT THOSE BABIES COULD HAVE BEEN HURT BECAUSE I HAVE A CAR THAT HAS A MYSTERIOUS PROBLEM. SO MORALLY WHAT DO I DO, TRADE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM? KEEP ON PAYING ON A VEHICLE, THAT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING? ALSO, I WAS A SERVICE ADVISER FOR 12 YEARS IN A GM AND CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. I HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF VEHICLES. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE BARRIER. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS HEAD, NECK, AND SHOULDER. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED BY ANOTHER DRIVER THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL BUCKLED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND THE LEFT REAR WHEEL HAD COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SOUGHT MEDICAL ATTENTION AFTER THE CRASH. THE POLICE ARRIVED TO THE SCENE AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY REPAIR SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SENT AN INSPECTOR TO ASSESS THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT WAS REPLACED ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE CRASH. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED ALL FOURS WHEEL CHROME RIMS WERE FLAKING CAUSING THE TIRES TO DEFLATE. THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE INDICATING THERE WAS A FAILURE WITH THE TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER, NOR THE MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
LETTER FROM SENATOR NELSON ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE 2006 BUICK LUCERNE IGNITION SWITCH. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, HE HIT A LARGE POTHOLE AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE ACCELERATOR, NOTHING HAPPENED. HE DECIDED TO PULL OVER, AND AT THAT POINT, HE REALIZED HE HAD NO POWER STEERING, THEN HE REALIZED HE HAD NO BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. HE FINALLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO RE-START IT, WITH NO PROBLEM. WHEN THE CONSUMER CALLED THE DEALER, HE WAS INFORMED, HIS VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE IGNITION RECALL. *JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE BRACKET FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT THEN MERGED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PASSENGER FRONT TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO TREAD SEPARATION. UNABLE TO OPEN REAR PASSENGER DOOR. TRIED FROM BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, TRIED MANUALLY UNLOCKING AND USING REMOTE TO UNLOCK. DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. AFRAID TO USE BACK SEAT NOW IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. *TR
THE BACK DOORS ON MY BUICK LUCERNE 2006 HAVE NOT UNLOCKED FOR OVER A MONTH. STRANGELY, ONE DAY I LEANED ON ONE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE AND IT UNLOCKED FOR A FEW HOURS AND THEN RELOCKED. I SEE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE ONLINE. THE DEALERS WERE NOT HELPFUL OR SYMPATHETIC AND CHARGED ME ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO DIAGNOSE THIS IN FIVE MINUTES, WITH A TWO GRAND ESTIMATE. IT IS UNSAFE FOR BACK SEATERS WHO CANNOT GET IN OR OUT SAFELY. THIS SHOULD BE ON A RECALL FROM GM RIGHT AWAY. *TR
THE RIGHT REAR DOOR IS UNABLE TO BE OPENED FROM EITHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. IT REMAINS THAT WAY SINCE THE DEALER WANTS $320 TO DO THE WORK. THE LEFT REAR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THAT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY WHEN THE CAR WAS RELATIVELY NEW. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. OBVIOUSLY THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY IS THIS NOT COVERED BY A RECALL? MY WIFE'S COUSIN HAD A LUCERNE WITH THE SAME ISSUES. SHE GOT RID OF HERS. AS SOON AS WE CAN AFFORD ANOTHER CAR WE WILL BE DOING THE SAME THING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO REACH THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE LOCKING MECHANISM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
TOOK MY CAR INTO FIRESTONE AND FOUND OUT THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE SAGGING. MOST CARS ONLY NEED THE BOLTS ON THE MOUNTS REPLACE - THE LUCERNE IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE YOU NEED TO REPLACE ALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE BOLTS IN THEM. ANOTHER FEW MILES AND I WILL HAVE AN ENGINE SITTING ON THE HIGHWAY. I AM EXTREMELY UPSET BECAUSE MY HUSBAND IS ALREADY HANDICAPPED AND WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE TO LAST FOR MORE THAN 150,00 MILES BEFORE WE HAD TO SINK THAT KIND OF MONEY IN IT. I HAVE HAD A SECOND OPINION AND IT IS INDEED A PROBLEM. *TR
2006 LUCERNE SUDDENLY LEFT CITY ROADWAY FOR NO APPARENT REASON. LUCERNE COLLIDED WITH TWO TELEPHONE POLES POSITIONED NEXT TO EACH OTHER. DELTA V OF COLLISION BETWEEN 22 AND 25 MPH. POLE TO DRIVER SIDE FRAME IMPACT WITH DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL PUSHED INTO DRIVER FLOOR BOARD SO FLOOR PUSHED AGAINST BRAKE PEDAL POST COLLISION. NO AIRBAG DEPLOYED. PDOF WAS NEAR STRAIGHT AHEAD OR 12 O'CLOCK. DRIVER BELT SPOOLED OUT ALLOWING DRIVER'S HEAD TO SIGNIFICANTLY DEFORM THE UPPER STEERING WHEEL RIM. DRIVER BELT CUT A NOTCH IN THE B-PILLAR TRIM EXITING THE D-RING HOLE. GM LOOKED AT THIS CAR IN LITIGATION AND AGREED THAT THE DRIVER WAS BELTED. DRIVER SUFFERED JAW FRACTURES, RIB FRACTURES AND LUNG INJURY. DRIVER DIED OF COLLISION RELATED INJURIES 6 MONTHS POST COLLISION. GENERAL MOTORS MAY DISPUTE WHETHER THE DEATH WAS RELATED TO THE AIRBAG NON-DEPLOYMENT, BUT IT CAN NOT DISPUTE THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE JAW AND RIB FRACTURES TO THE NON-DEPLOYMENT. DOWNLOAD OF SDM SHOWED NO "EVENTS RECOVERED". THAT APPEARS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE 2006 COBALT IGNITION RECALL ISSUE. THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AFTER THE ACCIDENT HAS A STRING OF KEYS AND OTHER ITEMS HANGING DOWN SEVERAL INCHES FROM THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, ALSO SEEMINGLY CONSISTENT WITH THE 2006 COBALT IGNITION RECALL ISSUE. DRIVER WOULD HAVE BEEN PROTECTED FROM SERIOUS INJURY BE A TIMELY AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN THIS COLLISION ACCORDING TO BIOMECHANICS RETAINED BY THE DRIVER'S FAMILY IN LITIGATION AGAINST GENERAL MOTORS. THIS COMPLAINANT SUSPECTS THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH IN THE 2006 IS SIMILAR TO THE 2006 COBALT IGNITION SWITCH, BUT DOES NOT HAVE DEFINITIVE CONFIRMATION OF THAT. COMPLAINANT CAN SEND PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE DAMAGE TO THE LUCERNE AND THE LUCERNE BOSCH CDR CRASH DATA RETRIEVAL REPORT BY EMAIL OR OTHER MEANS AT YOUR REQUEST. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED NO ASSISTANCE COULD BE PROVIDED UNTIL FURTHER WEAR OCCURRED. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THIS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BEGAN ABOUT THE FIRST OF THE YEAR WHEN THE ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS STARTED TO CYCLE WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS SINCE MIGRATED TO TURNING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL AND CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS TO FLASH OFF AND ON. THE REMOTE START WILL START THE CAR BUT WILL SHUT DOWN THE MOTOR AFTER A FEW SECONDS. THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUE DURING EVERY OPERATION. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS A P140 CODE AND WILL TAKE ABOUT 3 TO 4 HOURS TO DIAGNOSE WHERE THE PROBLEM AT $80.00 PER HR. SLOW SPEED STEERING FEELS LIKE SOMETHING IS CATCHING, MAKES NOISE AND DOES NOT FEEL RIGHT. WE WERE SLOWING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN WE LOST ALL POWER WE COASTED TO THE CURB AND WHEN I TRIED TO START IT THERE WAS A CLICKING AS IF IT WAS A LOW BATTERY. AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT STARTED BUT RAN ROUGH BUT WAS ABLE TO GET IT HOME A FEW BLOCKS AWAY. HAD IT TOWED TO A DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. A WEEK LATER IT HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES AND WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE DEALER WHO COULD FIND NO PROBLEM. WE HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS FOR FOUR MONTHS AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR THE FOURTH TIME AND AGAIN THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. WE HAVE CONTACTED G.M. CUSTOMER SVC. TWICE AND BUICK CUSTOMER SVC. WHO HAVE OPENED A CASE FILE [XXX]. AND SUGGESTED WE CONTACT A BUICK DEALER IN OREGON WHEN WE GET HOME. WE LIVE IN OREGON AND SPEND WINTERS IN CALIF. SO NOW WE MUST DRIVE A 1000 MILES NOT KNOWING WHEN OR IF OUR CAR WILL SUDDENLY DIE. CONTROL MODULE FAILED AS I ENTERED THE DRIVEWAY, INTO MY GARAGE. THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED. DIRECTIONAL CONTROL WAS LOST AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE BATTERY HAD TO BE DISCONNECTED TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE. THE KEY SWITCH FAILED ONCE BEFORE, WHEN THE TUMBLER WITHIN THE IGNITION SWITCH STUCK OPEN WHEN THE KEY WAS REMOVED; BUT THE IGNITION CIRCUIT REMAINED OPEN. CONSEQUENTLY, THE BATTERY WENT DEAD. BUICK SERVICE DIAGNOSED THE FAILED SWITCH, AND DETERMINED THE SWITCH TUMBLER HAD STUCK IN THE ON POSITION. THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED BY LUBRICATING THE KEY SWITCH INTERNALLY...UPDATED 10/22/14 *BF

SINCE ABOUT 60,000 MILES, THE CAR IT STALLS OUT. IT CAN STALL GOING 70 MPH DOWN THE INTERSTATE, STALL AT STOP SIGNS, STALL PULLING OUT OF AN INTERSECTION. LAST OCCURRENCE I WAS TRYING TO CROSS A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHEN IT STALLED. I COASTED ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AND IT RESTARTED RIGHT AWAY. IF A CAR HAD BEEN COMING FROM EITHER DIRECTION, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. I HAVE HAD 4 SENSORS REPLACED AND NOTHING SEEMS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
