MY AIR BAG LIGHT NOW REMAINS ON. THE MECHANIC HAS INDICATED THAT DUE TO DIFFERENT DRIVERS USING THE CAR AND CHANGING THE POSITION OF THE SEAT THE CONNECTION HAS BEEN SEVERED. PER THE MECHANIC , BUICK IS REPAIRING THE CARS FOR ONLY THOSE PEOPLE THAT HAVE LESS THAN 36,000 MILES. HOW CAN THEY NOT REPAIR FOR ME? WE HAVE 3 DRIVERS IN THE FAMILY AND ARE NOT THE SAME IN HEIGHT. ON PAGE 76 OF THE OWNERS MANUAL IT INDICATES THAT THE CAR HAS A SENSOR TO DETERMINE WHERE THE DRIVER IS SITTING. I WOULD EXPECT THE CAR TO NOT "WEAR" OUT IN SENSING AND SEVER THE CONNECTION. UNINTENDED IGNITION KEY ROTATION IT WAS FIXED THEN THE CAR WAS WRECKED AND WAS TOTEL SO I NO LONGER HAVE THIS CAR SO PLEASE QUIT TELLING ME THE IGNITION NEEDS FIXING I NO LONGER HAVE THE 2007 BUICK.04
I OWN A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. SINCE I RETIRED THE CAR WOULD SIT IN THE GARAGE FOR A FEW DAYS WHEREUPON IT WOULD GO DEAD. I CALLED ONSTAR AND HAD THE CAR JUMP STARTED BUT IT KEPT HAPPENING. SO THE DEALER FINALLY TOOK IT IN AND TESTED THE DRAW. THEY FOUND A DEFECTIVE ONSTAR MODULE AND ANOTHER MODULE CONNECTED TO THE DOOR AND LIGHTS THAT WERE BAD. IT HAS BEEN FIXED AND SO FAR SO GOOD UNTIL TODAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT JUST STOPPED DEAD. SO I DO NOT KNOW THE OUTCOME OF THIS FAILURE YET. THE ONLY PROBLEM BEING IT IS NOW 2,000 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
REPEATED FAILURE OF FRONT STRUT BUSHINGS ON 2007 BUICK LUCERNE THE FIRST FAILURE OCCURRED AT ABOUT 25,000, THEN AGAIN AT 50,000 AND NOW IT IS FAILING AGAIN AT 70,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V240000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT WAS NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THE RECALL REMEDY REPAIR WHICH DOES NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. ALSO, HE STATED THE DEFECTIVE PART SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH A NEW PART, NOT TO DISABLE AND REMOVE THE PART AS MENTIONED IN THE RECALL. THERE WAS NO FAILURE MILEAGE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE PARKED, HE NOTICED THE "CHECK RIGHT FRONT TIRE" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. AFTER INSERTING AIR INTO THE TIRE THE WARNING INDICATOR TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TIRE SHOP ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR THE IDENTICAL FAILURES. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE ALUMINUM CHROME WHEELS EQUIPPED ON THE VEHICLE. THE ALUMINUM CHROME WAS PEELING FROM THE WHEEL WHILE CAUSING GRADUAL AIR PRESSURE LOSS IN THE TIRE. THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL WAS REPLACED. THE FRONT DRIVER WHEEL EXHIBITED THE IDENTICAL DEFECT. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL BUSHING WAS FRACTURED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE VEHICLE SLAMMED DOWN TO THE GROUND. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 11,500.
TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 73-80 MPH HE REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. AN AMBULANCE TRANSPORTED HIM TO A HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY FOR INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 21,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY BUICK LUCERNE AND WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 80 MPH WHEN I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME I WAS GOING 70 MPH AS PER GM THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
SUNROOF DRAIN SYSTEM FAILED, CAUSING THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE TO FLOOD. INITIAL DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. PROBLEM HAS RECURRED, ON 7/3/13 AT 86,000 MILES, CAUSING FLOODING TO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. SAID PROBLEM IS A DANGER TO HEALTH AND SAFETY DUE TO MOLD. *TR
DASH CLUSTER DISPLAY IS UNREADABLE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS DEPRIVING THE DRIVER OF CRITICAL INFORMATION WHICH COULD PRESENT A SAFETY HAZARD, VIZ., SPEED, ENGINE TEMPERATURE, OIL PRESSURE, ETC. I NOTIFIED DEALER OF THIS PROBLEM A FEW TIMES AND THEY REPLACED THE CLUSTER; HOWEVER, THE REPLACEMENT WAS NO IMPROVEMENT. THE DASH IS STILL ILLEGIBLE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. I HAVE FOLLOWED UP WITH THE DEALER ON THIS DEFECT AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. *TR
BOUGHT CAR 6/2/08 WITH 6000 MILES ON ODOMETER. IMMEDIATELY NOTICED EXTREME VIBRATION THROUGHOUT VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ALSO IN PARK AT 1500 RPMS. DEALER IN CONSORT WITH GM ATTEMPTED TO FIX; COULD NOT DO IT. DEALER ALLEGES "VEHICLE WORKING AS DESIGNED". APPARENTLY DESIGNED TO VIBRATE. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE PROBLEM IS IN THE ENGINE - NOT IN SUSPENSION OR TIRES, ETC. WITH VIBRATION COMES INORDINATE WEAR AND POSSIBLE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES. ADDITIONALLY, THE FRONT SAFETY BELTS ARE DEFECTIVE IN THAT THEY DO NOT LOCK UP AND RESTRAIN THE UPPER TORSO AS DESIGNED. DEALER HAS REPLACED BOTH BELTS; HOWEVER, THEY STILL DO NOT WORK AS DESIGNED AND REQUIRED POSING A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEATS. THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN INCIDENT AS YET; HOWEVER, THE POSSIBILITY OF ONE IS RATHER OBVIOUS AND GM THUS FAR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE SAFELY AND SATISFACTORILY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE OVER ACCELERATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THEY STATED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. AS A RESULT, HE COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW FAST HE WAS DRIVING OR READ THE OTHER GAUGES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER COULD NOT ASSIST, BUT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED IN THAT MANNER. SHE HAS MAINTAINED REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON THE VEHICLE SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE AS OF YET. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 98,000.

CALIBRATED AND LET US USE HIS TESTING EQUIPMENT,WITH FINDINGS POSITIVE FOR CO=70.TRADE ASSIST WAS NEGOTIATED BUT GM STATED NO CO FOUND. NEED SENSOR INSTALLED IN VEHICLES OR EQUIPMENT TO CHECK FOR THIS INTERIOR DEADLY GAS PROBLEM AVAILABLE AT DEALERSHIPS TO CHECK FOR THIS PROBLEM. I STOPPED RIDING IN VEHICLE 7/2009. TRADE IN/NEW VEHICLE PICKED UP 1/15/10.GM HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF PROBLEM 4/09. NO CORRECTIONS MADE TO VEHICLE. WE WERE TOLD TO RIDE WITH THE WINDOWS ROLLED DOWN. *TR

SHE WAS INFORMED TO WAIT UNTIL SHE GETS ANOTHER SAFETY RECALL NOTICE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,296.
2007 BUICK LUCERNE LIGHTING SYSTEM ON THE DASHBOARD BECOMES INVISIBLE AT DIFFERENT TIMES. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE DASHBOARD CLUSTER WAS MODIFIED, BUT IT DID NOT HELP. *JB
I PARKED MY 2007 LUCERNE FOR 17 DAYS WHILE ON VACATION. WHEN I RETURNED, THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. THERE WAS NOTHING PLUGGED INTO THE CAR LIKE A PHONE CHARGER OR ANYTHING ELSE. AFTER CHARGING THE BATTERY, I TOOK IT TO LOCAL DEALER WHO KEPT IT FOR OVER TWO WEEKS, PERFORMED A PARASITIC DRAW TEST, AND BASICALLY FOUND NOTHING EXCEPT A 201MA CURRENT DRAW OVER 7 DAYS. THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEMS CHECKED OK. THEY COULDN'T TELL ME WHEN OR FOR HOW LONG THAT 201MA DRAW LASTED OR WHAT CAUSED IT. THEY CLAIMED THAT SINCE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THEY CAN'T FIX IT SINCE IT'S "WITHIN SPECS" AT THIS TIME. I BROUGHT CAR HOME AND LET IT SIT UNTOUCHED/UNDRIVEN FOR 3 MORE WEEKS TO TRY TO DUPLICATE IT BEING PARKED ON MY VACATION, AND THERE WAS NO BATTERY DISCHARGE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I FEEL I CAN'T TRUST THE CAR TO BE PARKED, UNUSED, FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME (MORE THAN 2 WEEKS) FOR FEAR THE BATTERY WILL DISCHARGE AGAIN. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT LEASED A 2007 GM BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH AND APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL THE ENGINE STARTED RACING. THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SLOW DOWN. THE CONTACT SWAYED TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID CRASHING INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. HE CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AND THE FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE ARRIVED AND THE CONTACT WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AT THE HOSPITAL. THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS NOT DETERMINED IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. BATTERY LOCATED IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT UNDER SEAT, INFANTS OR WHOEVER RIDES IN REAR ARE AT RISK, A BATTERY CAN LET OUT SULFURIC ACID FUMES AND DAMAGE SAFETY BELT SYSTEM. 2007 BUICK LUCERNE WITH SAFETY ISSUE CONCERNING THE WIRING. THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS FOUND TO BE IN CONTACT WITH THE PULLEY ON THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR. THE PULLEY PERFORATED THE WIRE CAUSING THE COPPER CONDUCTOR TO HAVE CONTACT WITH THE PULLEY. *KB

THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE SLIPPERY. THE VEHICLE WAS PUSHED OUT OF THE SNOW BANK AND DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER. THE OWNER'S MANUAL STATED TO FIRMLY APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE ABS WOULD WORK. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 8,000. UPDATED 03-07-08 *BF
THE OWNER MANUAL STATES: USING ABS. DO NOT PUMP THE BRAKES. JUST HOLD THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN FIRMY AND LET ANTI-LOCK WORK FOR YOU. YOU MIGHT HEAR THE ANTI-LOCK PUMP OR MOTOR OPERATE, AND FEEL THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSATE, BUT THIS IS NORMAL. AT SLOW SPEED, GOING DOWN HILL ON SLIPPER SURFACE, IF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED, ONE CAN END UP IN THE DITCH OR WORSE. THERE IS NO MENTION IN THE INSTRUCTIONS AS TO SPEED BEFORE BRAKES ACTIVATE WHICH COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR WORSE. OWNERS' MANUAL INFORMATION IS INACCURATE. ARE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES BEING OVER EMPHASIZED. ARE THEY AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED? *TR
2007 BUICK LUCERNE INSTRUMENT PANEL NOT VISIBLE IN DAYLIGHT. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE SPEEDOMETER CANNOT BE SEEN AT ALL BECAUSE OF BAD ILLUMINATION. CONSUMER STATES HE HAS TO LOOK AWAY FROM THE ROAD FOR 4 TO 6 SECONDS TO GUESS THE SPEED. *KB
MY 2007 BUICK LUCERNE, CXS WITH BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL400-02 245/50/18 99H TIRES EQUIPPED, VIBRATES ON THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IT IS REALLY DANGEROUS CORNERING AND OUTRIGHT UNSTABLE DRIVING. I HAD MY TIRES BALANCED AT DISCOUNT TIRE AT, NO IMPROVEMENT. I WENT TO ARNIE BAUER DEALER WHO ROAD FORCED BALANCED THEM AND FOUND 2 BAD TIRES. THEY REPLACED THESE 2 BAD TIRES, SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT BUT STILL VIBRATIONS. THEY STATED "NO MORE THEY COULD DO FOR MY CAR" AND "THIS IS JUST HOW THESE CARS RIDE." I OPENED GM SERVICE TICKET 71-609196985. AMADA BORG,GM CUSTOMER SERVICE, WORKED WITH A GM AREA REP. FOR IL. I WAS DENIED TO SPEAK DIRECTLY WITH THE REP. GM HAD TO GO ALONG WITH ARNIE BAUER'S EVALUATION, AND THE REP STATED THEY COULD NOT GET ME NEW TIRES. I THEN DID SOME SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND A FORUM ON EDMUNDS.COM(HTTP://TOWNHALL-TALK.EDMUNDS.COM/DIRECT/VIEW/.F0F60B1/0). THERE ARE 18 OR MORE PAGES DETAILING FOLKS NIGHTMARE WITH THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING. IT APPEARS MANY FOLKS ARE HAVING VIBRATION ISSUES WITH THE LUCERNE. SOME FOLKS HAD THE ISSUE RESOLVED WITH TIRE CHANGES TO MICHELIN HX MXM4 TIRES. I SENT THIS INFORMATION TO GM AND HAD IT ADDED TO MY SERVICE REQUEST FILE. NEXT I WENT TO BILL KAY TO SEE IF THEY COULD HELP ME. THEY DID A TIRE BALANCE AND I STILL HAVE A VIBRATION. THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT GET ME THE MICHELIN TIRES. THIS ISSUE WILL LEAD TO SOME CATASTROPHIC EVENT IF NOT ADDRESSED. ALL I REALLY WANTED WAS THE DEALER TO REPLACE THE TIRES WITH MICHELINS AS IT SEEMS TO SOLVE MANY OTHERS' PROBLEMS. I THINK GM OR BRIDGESTONE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED ON THIS. ALSO, I WENT TO 2 DEALERSHIPS AND TEST DROVE 4 BRAND NEW 2008 LUCERNES AND THEY ALL VIBRATE EVEN WORSE THAN MY CAR. THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME TIRES. I SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A CAR TO RIDE SO POORLY AND THEN BE TOLD THIS IS HOW IT WAS DESIGNED. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE LOOSES CONTROL AND HAS A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *TR
PURCHASED CAR ON 1/17/2008 AS DEMO 2007 W/6314 MI ON WAY HOME CAR WAS PULLING TO RIGHT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A SHIFTED STEEL BELT ON DRIVERSIDE FRONT TIRE. TIRE WAS REPLACED. WE WANTED ALL THE TIRES REPLACED BECAUSE VISUALLY THE DEFECT MAY NOT BE DETECTED. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED BECAUSE GMAC POLICIES ARE THAT IT HAS TO BE PROVEN THERE IS A DEFECT. IF WE HAD A BLOWOUT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WERE INJURED OR KILLED I GUESS THEY WOULD REPLACE THEM. WE WERE TOLD THAT SOMETIMES A BLEB IS SEEN BUT NOT ALWAYS. WE REPLACED ALL THE TIRES W/COOPERS AT OUR EXPENSE. MAJOR RECALLS ON FORD EXPLORERS TOOK PLACE IN 2000,2003, 2004. *TR
THE XM RADIO GPS PANEL CAN NOT BE DIMMED AT NIGHT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM AND CAN'T BELIEVE IT CANT BE FIXED. *TR

I HAD ENTERED A LEFT TURN LANE AND HAD GOTTEN OVER THE LINE INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. ANOTHER VEHICLE STRUCK ME HEAD-ON AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES PER HOUR. MY AIR BAGS (SIDE AND FRONT) DID NOT DEPLOY. I STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL WITH MY RIGHT CHEST (THE SEATBELTS WORKED). IT TOOK OVER 6 WEEKS FOR THE BLOOD ACCUMULATION AND BRUISING TO SUBSIDE. WHEN I CALLED MY BUICK DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT IF I HAD NOT HIT THE FRONT BUMPER IN THE CENTER, THAT THE AIRBAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY. I CONSIDER THAT NONSENSE, SINCE EVEN THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BROKEN, RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE BEING TOTALED. *TR

CONSUMER STATES THAT THE ENGINE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ON-GOING FOR SOME TIME NOW AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENGINE CRANKED, BUT WOULD NOT START. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THE PROBLEM WAS A DEFECTIVE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE AND VARIOUS ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WERE LOOSE AND CORRODED. THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN ON 7 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE LEFT REAR WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS A TWISTED REGULATOR CABLE. *JB
DASH CLUSTER IS VERY HARD TO READ DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS UNLESS BACKLIT BY LIGHT SENSOR ON THE DASH. DURING THE DAY THE DASH CLUSTER IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE AND READ WITH OR WITHOUT SUN GLASSES. I HAVE TO TAKE MY EYES OFF OF THE ROAD FOR MORE THAN 2 SECONDS TO SEE MY SPEED, TACK, GAS GAUGE OR OTHER ACCESSORIES, WHICH TAKES MY CONCENTRATION AWAY FROM DRIVING AND COULD RESULT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER SUSS PONTIAC TWICE. FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE CLUSTER. THE SECOND TIME WAS FOR THE SAME REASON. THE DASH CLUSTER CANNOT BE READ DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. THE SECOND TIME BACK I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER AND BUICK THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT, THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT OTHERS HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED OF THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. IF I COVER THE LIGHT SENSOR ON TOP OF THE DASH, THEN THE NIGHT-TIME LIGHTS WILL COME ON AND I CAN SEE, BUT THIS DIMS THE RADIO SO THAT IT CAN'T BE READ. COVERING THE LIGHT SENSOR IS NOT A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. BUICK NEEDS TO MAKE THE FACE OF THE DASH CLUSTER ANY OTHER COLOR THAN DARK BLUE OR BACK LIGHT IT. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE REPAIR SHOP AT LEAST SIX TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON FOR THE TIRE SYSTEM SENSOR. DOES BUICK KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS? THEY HAVE SUPPOSEDLY REPLACE THE MODULE THAT INCLUDES THE DOOR LOCKS AND A SENSOR. JUST GOT IT BACK AND IT DID IT AGAIN. *TR

CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE DEALER SAID THE VEHICLE WAS WORKING TO GMC SPECIFICATIONS. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FADED TO BLACK AND WAS VIRTUALLY UNREADABLE. I CALLED ONSTAR AND THEY SHOULD HAVE THE RECORDING OF THE CONVERSATION, THE TERROR I WAS IN, AND THEIR INSTRUCTIONS. I HAVE 4 RECORDED INCIDENCES OF THE REPETITIVE NATURE OF THIS VEHICLE MALFUNCTION. DEALER TOLD ME IN ORDER TO TURN ON INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS SWITCH MUST BE AT (HEADLAMPS POSITION).
