I HAVE 35,000 MILES ON MY 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS AND I AM HAVING THE SECOND FUEL PUMP INSTALLED. THE CAR STALLED OUT WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A BUSY ROAD WITH NO BREAKDOWN LANES. THE BRAKES AND STEARING WERE MINIMAL CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION.
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM LOCKED UP. *JB
KEY WAS LEFT IN THE IGNITION IN OFF POSITION, AND CHILD WAS ABLE TO PUT VEHICLE IN GEAR, AND IT RAN INTO A TREE BEFORE STOPPING. CONTACTED DEALER. *AK
WHEN VEHICLE CHANGES GEARS IT WILL STALL OUT.CONTACTED DEALER, THEY CAN'T FIX PROBLEM.*AK
WHILE PULLING A SMALL TRAILER, REAR FRAME TORE FROM THE BODY FRAME. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED.*AK *MJ
SLIGHT WIND BENT DRIVER DOOR AND BENT HINGE. THERE ARE NO RESTRAINTS TO KEEP DOOR FROM OPENING BEYOND THE BENDING POINT. THAN A WEEK LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN. BUICK WOULD NOT WARRANTY THE BENT HINGES. CUSTOMER OUT $400.00 FOR 2 REPAIRS HOWEVER BUICK WELDED THE HINGE.*AK
1ST TIME/REAR DIFFERENTIAL LEAK OVER 1-1/2 QUARTS OF REAR DIFF.GEAR OIL ALL OVER DRIVEWAY. DEALER REPLACED WITH COMPLETE NEW REAR HOUSING ASSY. 571 MILES LATER, WHICH WAS 05-20-02 REAR DIFF. LEAKING AGAIN. CAR IS AT DEALER, AND I CALLED GENERAL MOTORS, THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM. I DON'T WANT THE CAR BACK. CALIF. HAS LEMON LAW 2 TIMES FOR SAME REPAIR, WHICH COULD CAUSE BODILY HARM OR DEATH WE ARE TO GET ANOTHER CAR. IF THE REAR END LOCKS UP AT 65 MPH AND I LIVE THRU IT THERE WILL BE A MAJOR LAW SUIT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROMBLEM WITH CHANGING ME OUT OF THAT LEMON, INTO ANOTHER BUICK RENDEZVOUS. PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH ANY INFO. YOU HAVE ON THIS.
CONSUMER STATES THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS ON AN INCLINE IT DOES NOT STAY IN GEAR, IT ROLLS.*JB
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION JERKED HEAVILY, THE GEARS LOCKED UP AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *NLM
OPERATER THAT ANSWERS TO ONSTAR SYSTEM WAS UNABLE TO ASSIST CONSUMER WITH A LOCK OUT ON A VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO WHERE IN OWNER MANUAL OR INTERNET THAT STATED ONSTAR MAY NOT BE ABLE ASSIST IN A LOCK OUT. A TODDLER WAS LOCKED IN VEHICLE WITH KEYS FOR ABOUT 10 TO 20 MINUTES. IN MANUAL IT STATED IF EVER LOCKED KEY IN VEHICLE ONSTAR COULD GET IN VEHICLE WITHIN SECONDS. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
BUICK RENDEVOUS 2002 AWD CXS MODEL HAS FAULTY GAS GAUGE AND ALWAYS READS FULL WHEN IT IS NOT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 65MPH VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND CAR SLOWED DOWN. DEALER CONTACTED, SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY TRANSMISSION SHAFT PUMP HAVING A DEFECT. *AK
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS WITH 200 FAILURE MILEAGE AT 55 MPH THE VEHICLE HAD NO HEAT. THE DEALER ACCESSED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS A FACTORY DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE THAT CAUSED NO HEAT WHEN THE CLIMATE REACHED A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,409. *AK THE CONSUMER HAS INCLUDED A LETTER TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU REGARDING THE DEFECT AND WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIR. UPDATE 05/04/07*TR
WHILE DRIVING INSTRUCTION PANEL LIGHTS GO OUT, LOSES ALL POWER IN VEHICLE. WHEN SYSTEM IS OUT IT IS EASY FOR VEHICLE TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL GEAR WITHOUT APPLYING BRAKES. LOST CONTROL, AND VEHICLE WENT OVER HILL.*AK
WHILE DRIVING INSTRUCTION PANEL LIGHTS GO OUT, AND VEHICLE LOSES ALL ELECTRIC POWER.,ETC HEAD LIGHTS, POWER WINDOWS, ETC.*AK
VEHICLE DRIVER-SIDE DOOR HINGE, AND DOOR AND FRONT BODY PANEL EDGES, WERE BENT BY ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF WIND PUSHING DOOR FORWARD. TWO ATTEMPTS BY DEALER TO RESET THE DOOR, INCLUDING A NEW HINGE, HAVE FAILED TO RETURN THE DOOR AND WINDOW TO ORIGINAL POSITION AGAINST THE DOOR SEAL, RESULTING IN A CONSTANT WIND NOISE WHICH IS VERY ANNOYING. HINGE OR DOOR FRAME TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED APPEAR TO BE INSUFFICIENT IN STRENGTH. EVERY TIME THE DOOR IS OPENED FULLY THE HINGE CAN BE SEEN TO BEND AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED IN THE DOOR FRAME. DOOR ALSO DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE A "STOP" TO PREVENT REOCCURENCE OF THIS PROBLEM. GM DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE A RETROFIT PROGRAM IN PLACE TO REPLACE THE HINGE OR DOOR FRAME.
GAS GAUGE WOULD BE SPORADIC, WOULD SHOW A CORRECT READING, BUT OPPOSITE OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING, VEHICLE WOULD BE FILLED WITH FUEL, BUT GAS GAUGE WOULD SHOW EMPTY OR VICE VERSUS. VEHICLE HAS A BACK FUEL SYSTEM. *AK CONSUMER STATED DEALER FIXED THE PROBLEM WHICH WAS A FAULTY SENDING UNIT.*SLC
VEHICLE PULLED TO LEFT WHEN ACCELERATING. DEALER ROTATED TIRES AND DID AN ALIGNMENT. CURRENTLY, VEHICLE PULLS TO RIGHT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALER A TOTAL OF 7 TIMES, DEALER STATED THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO.*AK
ON FLORIDA TPKE. I WAS CUT OFF WHILE TRAVELLING IN MIDDLE LANE. I EVADED A CRASH BY PULLING TO RIGHT AND MY VEHILCE SPUN180 DEGREES AND THEN FLIPPED OVER 360 DEGREES COMING TO REST RIGHT SODE UP. MY VEHICLE WAS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS WHICH WAS TOTALLED.

WHILE ON A STEEP HILL VEHICLE WILL NOT GO IN REVERSE. WHEELS WILL NOT SPIN AT ALL WHEN IT IS ON A HILL. CONTACTED DEALER, AND THE DEALER IS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING. *AK
WATER ENTERS INSIDE OF VEHICLE AND CAUSES THE CARPET IN FRONT TO BECOME SOAKED. MECHANIC NOTICED AN OPENING NEAR FRONT AND REPAIRED IT. *AK *JG
VEHICLE ROLLS REARWARD WHEN ACCELERATING ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC VEHICLE WILL STALL THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN NOTIFIED 2 TIMES REGARDING THE SAME PROBLEM HOWEVER MECHANIC HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND PROBLEM. NLM
THIS VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE SIDE AT THE LEFT REAR QUARTER PANEL, AS A RESULT THE RIGHT RAR SEAT COLLAPSED RESULTING IN THE OCCUPANT SUTAINING SERIOUS INTERNAL INURIES, THE REAR LIFTGATE LATCH REMAINED ENGAGED BUT SEPARATED FROM THE BODY (TORN FROM FIBERGLASS) RESULTING IN OCCUPANT EJECTION. NLM
THE BROCHURE AND OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS BOTH STATE THAT THE DIC (DRIVERS INFORMATION CENTER) INCLUDES A TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR. THE DEALER I BOUGHT A 2002 RENDEZVOUS ALSO BELIEVED THE CAR HAD A TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR. HOWEVER THE 2002 RENDEZVOUS APPARENTLY IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR. THE SALES LITERATURE AND OWNERS MANUAL INCORRECTLY SAY THAT IT IS AVAILABLE, AND MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT SALES PERSONNEL OFTEN ALSO BELIEVE IT'S AVAILABLE. AN UNWARY CONSUMER COULD BUY AND DRIVE A 2002 RENDEZVOUS INCORRECTLY BELIEVING THE CAR WILL WARN THEM OF A DANGEROUSLY LOW TIRE. I BELIEVE BUICK SHOULD NOTIFY ALL OWNERS OF DIC EQUIPPED 2002 RENDEZVOUS AND CLARIFY THAT THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE A TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR. THIS NOTIFICATION SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE A MECHANISM PERMENANTLY CORRECT THE OWNERS MANUAL. REFERENCE: DESCRIPTION OF DIC, PAGE 40 OF BROCHURE FOR 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. WHILE DRIVING, CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD NOISE. CONSUMER LOOK THROW THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, AND NOTICE THAT THE REAR WINDSHIELD HAD SEVERAL CRACKS IN IT, WITHOUT ANYTHING OBJECT IMPACTING THE GLASS. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE DETAILS. TS
CONSUMER STATED MOTOR HEATER WILL NOT BLOW OUT HOT AIR. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT WAS THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED.*JB
THE TAILGATE HATCH OPENED WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE OR A BUY BACK. THE LEFT FRONT DOOR HAD A WINDING SOUND, CAN SEE A GAP, AND DID NOT OPEN PROPERLY. THE HINGES WERE ADJUSTED. THE HEATED SEAT WAS INOPERATIVE. THE REAR HATCH LIGHT HAD COME ON WHEN GOING OVER BUMPY ROADS, AND THE REAR HATCH SWITCH WAS STICKING. THE REAR HATCH SWITCH WAS REPLACED, AND THE LIFTGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED. SCC
WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS NOTED THAT THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS FAILED PREMATURELY. *NLM

THE SIZE OF THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS CAUSE A BLIND SPOT. THIS CAUSES POOR VISIBILITY WHEN SWITCHING LANE. *AK
CONSUMER STATES AT ANY SPEED WITHOUT ANY INDICATION VEHICLE WOULD STALL OUT. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 30 MPH AND LESS VEHICLE WILL STALL WITHOUT WARNING. CAUSE OF THE FAILURE UNDETERMINED. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR A RECALL # 03 V 211 000 AND THE DEALER FAILED TO RECONNECT THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER. PLEASE DESCRIBE FURTHER. *PH
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT AN IGNITION PROBLEM. IGNITION TURNED OVER BUT WON'T START. COMPUTER SHOWED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. ALSO, BATTERY REPLACED. *AK
