TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE AWD AND SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURE WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 154,000.
WE BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A USED DEALERSHIP IN OCT. 2013. JUST OVER A MONTH LATER WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. THE LIGHT CAME ON, THE DASH SAYING ABS DISABLED. AS THIS COMES IF YOU ARE SLOWING DOWN YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO PUMP THE BRAKE TO STOP. THIS IS SCARY ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO COME TO A STOP BEHIND SOMEONE AND YOU ARE NOT SURE IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE ENOUGH DISTANCE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. THIS LIGHT LIKES TO COME ON WHILE WE ARE DRIVING ROUGHLY 65 ON THE INTERSTATE AS WELL, NOT REALLY EFFECTING DRIVING JUST STOPPING. WE HAVE ALREADY PAID TO HAVE IT FIXED IN DECEMBER OF 2013 WAS TOLD IT WAS A BAD ABS SENSOR ON THE FRONT WHEEL. WELL HERE WE ARE ONLY A FEW MONTH LATER AND ITS HAPPENING ALL OVER AGAIN. WE FIGURED WE WOULD LOOK INTO RECALLS BEFORE WE GO AND PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A RECURRING PROBLEM. *TR
I AM A 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN. THIS IS THE LAST CAR MY HUSBAND PURCHASED BEFORE HE LOST HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER IN 2009. HE IS A RETIREE FROM GM. HE LEFT ME WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD CAR. I WENT OUT TO START TO GO TO MY DAUGHTERS IN ANOTHER TOWN THAT DAY MY CAR WAS DEAD! NO LIGHTS NOTHING. MY SON TOOK ME GOT A BATTERY CAR SEEM TO RUN OKAY THAT EVENING. THE NEXT DAY OR TWO DEAD AGAIN! WELL THIS TIME I HAD TO WAIT A WEEK OR SO FOR HELP! AFTER 5 BATTERIES WE TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY CHARGED ME LIKE CRAZY FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND CHECKED MY BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR! THEY SAID MY BATTERY WAS BAD! SO 170 DOLLARS FOR THAT THEN MY BREAKS NEEDED DONE MY TIRES NEEDED AIR OR SEALED, LIST OF THINGS. SO OKAY BATTERY DONE CAR RUNNING FIX BREAKS ETC. 2000,00 LATER TWO DAYS LATER CAR IS DEAD! TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN! 1 WEEK LATER NOW THEY SAY MORE TESTING, FIND A MODULE GONE BAD 600.00 MORE! COME GET CAR ITS DEAD! WAIT 2 MORE DAYS! BATTERY AGAIN! GET IT HOME 1 WEEK LATER CAR IS DEAD! HAS TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN! DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN, THIS IS OVER A 2- 3 MONTH PERIOD! COLD COLD WEATHER ONLY! NOW THE NEXT RECURRING PROBLEM! 5 TIMES REPLACING THE AWD HARNESSES AND MISC PARTS! AND SINCE ALL THE TROUBLE AT DEALERSHIP NOW THEY WANT MORE MONEY FOR MORE TEST! HAD BATTERY REPLACED DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. AFTER TWO DAYS THE CAR WOULD NOT START BATTERY WAS DEAD. AFTER THE 3RD BATTERY WE TOOK THE CAT TO THE DEALER. THET CHECKED EVERYTHING SAID IT WAS THE BATTERY AGAIN!!! SO WE HAD IT REPLACED AT THAT TIME. WE ALSO HAD THEM FIX THE ABS FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 5 YEARS. THE CAR WAS AT HOME TWO DAYS LATER WOULD NOT START! HAD IT CHECKED THIS TIME IT WAS A MODULE AND THEN THE DASH CLUSTER WNET OUT WHILE THEY WERE FIXING THE CAR. STILL SAME PROBLEMS TOOK THE CAR OUT AGAIN THIS TIME AFTER GM CALLED US. THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR THREE WEEKS, SAID IT WAS A SHORT IN THE STEREO. NOW 1 WEEK LATER CAR IS DEAD AGAIN!!!!! *TT
BODY CONTROL MODULE. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON WEBSITES THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING TO ILLUMINATE AND THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE TO RISE. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED A LEAK COMING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE MANIFOLD INTAKE GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THERE WAS AND IS A RECALL ON THE GAS TANKS OF BUICK RENDEZVOUS SINCE 2007. I WAS REFUSED SERVICE BY A DEALER TO CHECK AND INSPECT MY GAS TANK. THEN WHEN I TOOK IT BACK TO ANOTHER DEALER I WAS CHARGED $40 TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. IN 2008 ANOTHER RECALL WAS ISSUED ON THE GAS TANK. INDICATING THAT THE WHOLE GAS TANK HAS TO BE REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW ONE. I WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY PHONE OR MAIL OR ANY OTHER MEANS THAT THE GAS TANK ON MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED. I AM REQUESTING THAT I RECEIVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION FROM GM THAT MY VEHICLE'S GAS TANK IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND THAT A DEALER MUST REPLACE IT AT NOT COST TO ME. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, FUEL SPRAYED OUT OF THE FILLER NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FILLER NECK WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHEN DRIVING OUR CAR ACCELERATES WHILE DRIVING. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SPEED, 25 AND OR UP, IT'S FRIGHTENING AND NOT SURE OF WHERE TO GO OR WHO TO SEE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A GASOLINE ODOR INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED FUEL LEAKING FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A FRACTURED PLASTIC WELD ON THE FUEL TANK INLET VALVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V349000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
5 MINUTES AFTER BEING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MILES PER HOUR THE VEHICLE STARTED DROPPING SPEED AND MESSAGE CENTER STARTED SHOWING LOW BATTERY, LIGHTS PROBLEM, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, BRAKE FLUID LOW, WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID LOW, LOW TIRE PRESSURE, SECURITY SERVICE. ALSO, WHEN I COME TO A STOP THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF BY ITSELF AS A LOW POWER, FEW MINUTES LATER, STARTS BACK UP AND CAN KEEP DRIVING BUT HITTING THE GAS PEDAL AND RELEASING IT AFTER A FEW SECONDS AT A TIME TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY SO IT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AGAIN. ALSO, AFTER THIS HAPPENED THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS BEGAN TO COME ON AND OFF BY THEMSELVES. TOOK TO A MECHANIC TO HAVE IT SERVICED THEY SAID TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR AND IF PROBLEMS CONTINUED THE STARTER. FEW MONTHS LATER AFTER REPLACING THESE PARTS, IT STARTED GIVING ME PROBLEMS WITH LOW FAN AS IF THE RELAYS WERE BAD BUT THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, LOW BATTERY FUEL AND HAD TO BE CHANGED AGAIN BECAUSE THE BATTERY WAS NOT RETAINING CHARGE. THE VEHICLE STILL HAS ALL THE MESSAGES IN THE MESSAGE CENTER, THEY NEVER WENT AWAY. THEN WITHIN THE LAST MONTH I WANTED TO HAVE THE RADIO REPLACED, BUT I FOUND OUT THE SPEAKERS HAVE POWER COMING STRAIGHT FROM THE BATTERY TO THE RADIO THAT CAUSES IT TO OVERHEAT AND MAKES STATIC WHEN THE RADIO IS ON WHILE DRIVING. ALSO, THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH FOR THE IGNITION KEY GOT BURNED SO NOW IT IS NOT WORKING BUT STILL HAS ALLOWED FOR THE CAR TO TURN ON AND OFF AND DRY. A WEEK AGO, 04/28/14 THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SHOWING AN ERROR MESSAGE IN THE MESSAGE CENTER, EVERY LIGHT POSSIBLE IN THE MESSAGE CENTER ABOUT THE SERVICES THAT NEED TO BE DONE COME ON, WHICH I ASSUME NOW IS THE BODY CONTROL MODULE THAT HAS GONE BAD. MOST FREQUENT MESSAGE IS SECURITY. GAS GAUGE GOES UP AND DOWN AND NEVER GIVES AN ACCURATE READING OF HOW MUCH IS IN THE VEHICLE. *TR
I AM THE OWNER OF A 2002 RENDEZVOUS, MY NAME IS, I WENT AN GOT A OIL CHANGE A FEW MOS BACK & FOUND OUT I HAD A LEAK AT MY FUEL FILL NECK/FUEL TANK. I DID RESEARCH & FOUND OUT THAT FROM 2002-2007 THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THESE PARTS WITH MY MAKE. THERE WAS A SPECIAL SERVICE COVERAGE EXTENDED ON THIS. HTTP://WWW.FAQS.ORG/CAR/BUICK-RENDEZVOUS-2002/FUEL-SYSTEM/ I CONTACTED CUSTOMER RELATIONS REP [XXX] (EXT [XXX]) SERVICE REQUEST #[XXX], I WAS TOLD ME THAT MY COVERAGE ENDED 2/2012 (UNKNOWN TO ME) BUT THAT HE WOULD MANAGE TO HELP ME GET IT REPAIRED AFTER I WENT TO A CERTIFIED BUICK REPAIR SHOP TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC. IF IT IS INDEED THE ISSUE THEN IT WOULD BE COVERED SINCE I WASNT TOO FAR PAST THE EXTENSION DATE (EVEN WITH MY MAKE AND MILEAGE 130,000) HE ASSURED ME HE WOULD HELP GETTING IT REPAIRED WHETHER IT WAS DISCOUNT SRVC OR FULLY COVERED. I DID GO AND GET IT DIAGNOSED "CHECKED & VERIFIED CONCERN FOUND FUEL LEAK AT FILL NECK TO FUEL TANK" SO I HELD TIGHT WITH NO WORRIES. UNTIL RECEIVED A CALL YESTERDAY FROM BUICK CUSTOMER RELATIONS STATING IF I WANT ANY REPAIRS I WILL BE NEEDING TO PAY THE FULL SERVICE PRICE 1188.74 FOR THE FUEL TANK AND $300 FOR THE EVAPORATION TO BODY CONNECTOR THAT COINCIDES WITH THE FUEL TANK. I TRIED EXPLAINING EVERYTHING BUT IN HER THERE WAS NO BUDGE..I AM THE FATHER OF A 2 & 4YR OLD AND BABY ON THE WAY WHOM RIDE IN OUR ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION WITH A LEAKING FUEL TANK...IN TOTAL DISARRAY. I AM IN SURE NEED OF OTHER OPTIONS BECAUSE WE ARE LITERALLY AFRAID TO DRIVE, BUT IT IS A MUST TO PROVIDE FOR MY FAMILY. INLET CHECK VALVE IICV) ON THE FUEL STORAGE TANK IS CRACKED AND IS LEAKING FUEL ONTO THE FUEL TANK AND ONTO THE GROUND, THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 07V349000 AND BUICK'S, SAFETY PRODUCT BULLETIN 06230. ON 12/04/2007 A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE TANK ON THE BUICK RENDEZVOUS, 2002 ON ONLY CERTAIN VEHICLES. WHEN I CALLED GM THEY SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL, AS THEY HAVE DONE WITH NUMEROUS OTHER OWNERS WHO HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF FROM $1,000.00 TO $1,400.00 MY ESTIMATE TO REPLACE THE TANK. FIRST WHY ISN'T MY VEHICLE PART OF THE RECALL AND SECOND WHO DECIDES WHAT VEHICLES ARE ELIGIBLE. THIS DEFAULT IS PREVALENT IN ALL 2002 RENDEZVOUS AND THERE SHOULD BE NO TIME LIMIT RESTRICTION ON FAILURE OF THE FUEL TANK. THIS IS A MAJOR FIRE SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BY GM. I NEVER RECEIVED THE NOTICE OF THE DEFECT SO I COULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT COULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE AND WHO KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. A RECALL NOTICE SHOULD BE ISSUED ON ALL 2002 RENDEZVOUS BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR THEIR HOUSE BURNS DOWN FROM THE FUMES BE IGNITED BY AN IGNITION SOURCE WHERE THEY PARK THE VEHICLE. *TR ## VIN FAILED ##
WE BEGIN EXPERIENCING OVERHEATING AND TOOK THE CAR TO THE MANUFACTURER; $5000 PLUS LATER WE ARE STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. MORE RECENTLY WE REPLACED THE RADIATOR AND IT CONTINUES TO OVERHEAT. *TR
MY VEHICLE WARMS UP FINE AND AS I START TO DRIVE THE ENGINE TEMP RISES TO A HOT CONDITION AND THE HEATER STARTS TO BLOW COLD AIR. THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN FLUSHED, THE HEATER CORE HAS BEEN FLUSHED, THERMOSTAT HAS BEEN CHANGED. I'VE BEEN DOING ALOT OF RESEARCH ON THESE PROBLEMS AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF OVERHEATING PROBLEMS THAT NEVER GO AWAY. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU FIX THE PROBLEM REOCCURS. I FLUSHED THE SYSTEM AND COULDNT GET IT TO REPEAT UNTIL A COUPLE DAYS LATER, THEN I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT WITH THE SAME RESULT. I NEVER GET A WARNING LIGHT FOR COOLANT TEMP BUT ENGINE TEMP INCREASES AND CAR WILL STALL AND WONT RESTART UNTIL IT COOLS DOWN. AFTER 2 WEEKS OF WORKING WITH THIS I HAVE THE VEHICLE PARKED AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY GM DOES NOT RECALL THESE CARS AND FIX THEM. I WAS TOLD THE ONLY WAY TO COMPLETELY FIX THIS PROBLEM IS A NEW 3.4L ENGINE FROM GM. WHO CAN AFFORD THAT, NOT ME. I HAVE CONTACTED BUICK BUT NOTHING BUT A REPORT WAS FILED AND ADDED TO THE PILE OF OTHER COMPLAINTS. IF THIS HAPPENED AT 70 MPH ON A HIGHWAY IT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS. *TR

FUEL TANK RECALL # 07V349000 I TOOK MY CAR TO MY SERVICE CENTER TO CHECK OUT FUEL LEAK A FRACTURE IN TANK HOUSING WAS FOUND, I CALL BUICK TO REPORT FINDINGS OVER 9 MONTHS AND MANY PHONE CALLS NOTHING WAS DONE THEY FINELY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT ONE OF THE ONES WITH THAT PROBLEMS AND SAID I SHOULD HAVE TANK REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE IF IT IS THE SAME DEFECT THEY SHOULD PAY FOR IT I WOULD LIKE THE CAR FIXED BY BUICK AT THEIR EXPENSE IF U HAVE A RECALL THEN HONOR IT NO PICK AND CHOOSE I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE IF BUICK DOESN'T WANT TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE THEN THEY SHOULD BUY IT FOR THE RETAIL PRICE OR GIVE ME ANOTHER VEHICLE OF EQUAL VALUE
VALET PERSON WAS PARKING MY RENDEZVOUS IN DEC 2012 AND SAID AS HE APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP HE NOTICED FLAMES COMING FROM HOOD. 2,000 IN DAMAGES. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINTIS THAT I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE HEAD GASKETS TWICE IN THE PAST SIX YEARS. I KEEP BEING TOLD THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL BECAUSE GM HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. I CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE A NEW CAR NOW WITH ALL THE REPAIRS IVE PUT INTO THIS, AND ITS PROBABLY NOT WORTH MUCH. WE HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT GM VEHICLES BUT WE MAY THINK LONG AND HARD BECAUSE ONCE THEIR OFF THE LOT IT SEEMS NO ONE CARES AND NO ONE WANTS TO BACK UP THEIR PRODUCT.

GM AND DEALER HAVE DETERMINED EXISTING RECALL FOR THIS CONDITION DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH THE SYMPTOMS I'M EXPERIENCED ARE EXACTLY THOSE DETAILED IN THE RECALL, AND MY VIN FALLS WITHIN THE APPLICABLE RANGE PROVIDED FOR THE RECALL. NOTE: "SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM SOON" "ANTI-LOCK", AND THE "TRACTION" LIGHTS LIGHTS BEGAN TO COME ON, THEN OFF. OCASSIONALLY ,THERE WOULD BE A VIBRATION ON THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. I HAD MY SON-IN-LAW DRIVE IT BUT NONE OF THESE THINGS OCCURED. NEST TIME I WAS DRIVING ALL THESE LIGHTS CAME ON THEN OFF AND THE BRAKES MADE THE VIBATION. I DROVE IT TO THE GARAGE WHERE I BUY MY TIRES AND WHERE THEY DO SERVICE VEHECLES AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK OUT ALL THESE PROBLEMS. HE DROVE IT AROUND THE BLOCKS BUT NO LIGHTS CAME ON NOR DID THE BRAKES VIBRATE. HE PULLED A WHEEL BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. A FEW DAYS LATER THE LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN AND WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP THE CAR AND CAUSED ME TO REAR-END THE CAR AHEAD WHO WAS STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT. MY SUV WAS TOTALLED BUT THANKFULLY THERE WERE NO INJURIES BUT AFTER MY PROBLEM, I DISCOVERED A FORUM ON LINE AND THERE ARE BLOGS DESCRIBING THE ABS, TRACTION SYSTEM PROBLEM IN THE BUICK SUV SO WHY DID GM FAIL TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES? I WONDER IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY MAJOR INJURIES OR EVEN DEATHS AS THE RESULT OF THE BRAKES FAILING? *TR
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED AND DAYS LATER IT WAS OVERHEATING. THE MAN I BOUGHT IT FROM SAID THAT IT JUST NEEDED A THERMOSTAT, APPROX. $300. REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT BOTH RECALLS WERE EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
NO BRAKES, BRAKE LINE RUSTED AND BURST, DUE TO IT BEING UNDER FIRE WALL, ACCORDING TO THE MECHNAIC THE FIRE WALL GETS WET AND THIS CAUSES RUST TO SET IN. THE BRAKE LINE WAS NOT VISIBLE TO MECHANIC TO DO AN INSPECTION DURING REGULAR SAFETY CHECKS. SINCE THE LINE WAS NOT VISIBLE THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL IF IT IS VIABLE. I WAS GOING ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR. I HAD TO BRAKE HARD FOR TRAFFIC BACKED UP AT AN INTERSECTION. WE JUST BOUGHT A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. WE WERE FIRST TOLD THAT WE JUST NEEDED OUR FLUSHED. THE VEHICLE'S HOT COOLANT LIGHT WAS COMING ON AND THE TEMP GAUGE WAS INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS HOT. WE GOT THIS DONE AND WAS DRIVING IT HOME AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE. WE ARE NOW BEING TOLD THAT IT HAS A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. I DECIDED TO RESEARCH ONLINE AND AM ASTOUNDED BY THE AMOUNT OF CONSUMERS THAT ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. SOME OF THEM ARE GETTING IT FIXED AND HAVING THE SAME ISSUE A FEW YEARS LATER. I AM REALLY FRUSTRATED AND FEEL THAT MY HANDS ARE TIED. WHAT IF I GET IT FIXED THIS TIME AND IN A FEW YEARS IT DOES IT AGAIN? I CAN NOT AFFORD TO KEEP PUTTING HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY INTO THIS VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT WOULD SPORADICALLY ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NON-REPAIRABLE. YET, ADVISED THAT IF THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED, THE BRAKES WOULD EVENTUALLY FAIL. I WAS DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY AND WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKE. I HAD GOOD PRESSURE AT FIRST, BUT THEN LOST ALL BRAKE PRESSURE. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND COAST TO A STOP. AFTER GETTING THE CAR HOME, I FOUND A HOLE THAT HAD RUSTED THROUGH THE BRAKE LINE LEADING TO THE FRONT RIGHT BRAKE. I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS. A BRAKE LINE SHOULD NOT RUST THROUGH ON A CAR THAT IS UNDER 10 YEARS OLD....ACTUALLY THEY SHOULD NEVER RUST THROUGH, THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF A SAFETY SYSTEM.
