NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2014 Buick Verano. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
I would be driving then radio would blink off and the steering would lose power but the car does not shut off. Radio will come back on and then able to steer again. Ac blower is stop or get low. Lights will blink dim on dash and headlights.I took it to the shop and they can’t find the problem. The car shop googled this and a lot of Buick Veranos have this same problem but can’t find a solution. I need answers because its dangerous to drive and loose steering. This has happened over 6 times in less than a month
AC Compressor failure. I have seen several online reports that this is a common problem with Buick models. The repair costs between $1590 and $2000.
Car keeps stalling and the service power steering warning comes on the dash as well as the service air bag. Then the car speed drops to around 20 mph and won’t go any faster and then when you stop at a stop sign or something the car acts like it doesn’t want to go
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. The contact stated that after his daughter started the vehicle and attempted to shift into drive, the gear selector briefly failed to move into drive. Upon shifting into drive, the contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, she became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring an increased effort to maneuver the vehicle, prompting her to discontinue driving the vehicle. The power steering warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the gear selector lever. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Passenger air bag system shuts off with passenger in vehicle. Message displays to service air bag system. It doesn't always shut off. It's very random when it will shut off or be working. This is a hazard to any passenger in this vehicle.
Vehicle hesitating when attempting to accelerate. No power or minimal momentum when pressing on gas pedal. Transmission control module would randomly drop out and loose communication at the same time the body control module thought the vehicle was in park. It would lock and unlock the doors multiple times and the car would jerk uncontrollably. Extremely unsafe while mobile. Issue first occurred randomly summer of 2023 and has progressively gotten worse. Now it occurs at least once every 2 weeks.
Newly purchased delivery of 2014 Buick Verano. from Auto Deal Makers in Chantilly, Va. Not even 5 miles driven, car was hesitant at 20mph, felt like it was going to stall out at 40mph, my left upper lip started tingling, my kids felt sick as we all experienced a heavy taste & smell of burnt oil in the cabin of the car. Two hours later my kids & I still could not get the taste of burnt oil off our tongues and back of our throats even after eating. Contacted GM & Chevy although they are fully aware of the defect they refuse to accept responsibility. The tingling has now reached my chin as though my children and I have been affected by some form of toxic chemical poisoning. This was the first time I ever drove my newly purchased vehicle, and have been poisoned myself & my kids by the toxic fumes the car is emitting. Total recalls should be done, and full compensation to consumers. GM & Chevy are fully aware of the defects and should be held responsible and accountable for the dangerously hazardous fumes that they are knowingly allowing unsuspecting consumers to become victims of their neglect and found guilty of all laws created to protect consumers, and the environment for these defective vehicles and found guilty pursuant to any and all Lemon Laws pertaining to aforementioned toxic chemical exposure. All of these makes/models that have similar issues should be recalled immediately for the safety and health of the consumers, and the environment.
I have included here copies of correspondence between myself and General Motors relating to an issue with my 2014 Buick Verano. As stated in the emails, after some online research, I found that there was actually a class action lawsuit pending in the court with regard to the issue I was having. I did reach out to the attorneys office handling the class action suit and received an auto-reply that they received my message, but nothing further. What I find very disturbing is that in one google search, I found multiple articles and forums as well as two class action lawsuits that address the very issue of excessive oil consumption and General Motors has not done anything to address this issue with vehicle owners. At the very least, a TSB should have been issued to make owners aware of this issue so they could address it properly. There continues to be many posts by people still experiencing this problem which is unacceptable. The issue has caused unnecessary wear and tear on my car and many costly repairs. My car continues to have issues that may have been caused by the initial PVC problem.
1. Passenger presence module internally faulted and passenger presence sensor shorted. They are still in vehicle. 2. Safety at risk because of questionable air bag. 3. Problem confirmed by dealership. Dealership is Bob Moore Buick GMC (405) 721-6000. Invoice #[XXX] 15NOV23. 4. Vehicle has not been inspected by police, manufacturer, or insurance representative. 5. The " Service Airbag" light comes on intermittently. Car purchased used in May 2023. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My 2014 Buick Verano, that I have owned for several years now, is consuming oil at an alarming rate. The problem is that the manufacturer put a PCV valve into the engines intake manifold that gets clogged and produces too much pressure. With the pressure being so high, it forces oil into the air intake breather box and up through the throttle body and gets burnt off. If the oil pressure gets too high, the additional risk is that the rear main seal may get blown. Because of this, I have to continuously check for proper engine oil level, and even while doing that often (weekly), there are times that I find the car needing more than 2 quarts of oil to be put into the engine regardless of how long it has been between oil changes. Additionally, there has never been an oil light or any indicator light showing any trouble at all. GM knows there are problems with these 2.4l engines because they sent letters to some owners of 2012 GMC Terrains with the same problems. As there are still many Buick Veranos and other vehicles on the road sharing the same engine, I believe that GM should still be held responsible for repairing a known problem. I have not taken this to the dealer for this problem, as I have read many other accounts of people being charged diagnosis fees with $5000 plus repair bills for this issue.
Drove car into driveway to park. Shift remained in drive. Car would only go into neutral. I had to hold brake. Applied emergency brakes and put brakes behind wheels to keep it from rolling backwards. Another problem dealing with removing key from ignition.vehicle taken to dealer for repair. Diagnose as broken chain in brake line. However, brakes never failed. I purchased vehicle in 2018.
Blind spot warning began displaying at startup. Turn signal bell and dash illuminators failed intermittently while driving. A Google search revealed the location of blind spot radar module. Inspected right rear module (located in bumper) and found corrosion. Difficult to remove module because of swollen internals. Pried open module after removal to expose corrosion damage to radar cells. The module mount location is openly exposed to road grime and salt. This infiltrated the module and ruined it because the module cover (white panel) is too thinly sealed.
The power steering indicator will show up and shut the car off while driving. You will be unable to stop your car.
My car just shut off while I’m driving
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. The stated that while he was pressing the shift knob to select drive, the vehicle failed to shift into the desired gear. The contact stated he pressed the shift knob several times and the vehicle shifted into drive(D). The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the shift knob needed to be replaced. On another occasion, the contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the steering wheel lock released and would not lock into place. The vehicle was also taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired; however, the dealer added a screw for the steering wheel to remain in place. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
The dash warning light indicated the blind spot warning system needs service. The passenger side warning light on the side view mirror stopped working. Subsequent internet searches indicated that the bumper module has gone bad. No response from the dealership yet. Other repair shops have quoted $400 to $860 to repair. This is a safety issue.
Vehicle started flashing multiple indicators on the dashboard, including those related to the charging system. Radio screen went off and then the power steering lost electrical boost while turning the steering wheel. Radio screen came back on its own but then it started cycling among its options (AM, FM, Bluetooth, etc) until settling in FM radio. Second occurrence was similar, although with different manifestations with the dashboard indicators although most concerning behavior dealt with the steering loosing boost almost causing an accident. Have reconnected the battery (changed about 4 months ago, currently showing 12.38V) and retighten the connections to the poles. Retightened the cables going to ground (they were NOT loose).
All occurrences happened on city streets and all during the daytime. First time this occurred was on 6/15/2022 with 148,467 miles. It went to the dealer. Lots of low voltage and lots of comm codes stored in a lot of modules. All were cleared out. They could not replicate the problem. Then it occurred again on 7/23, 7/24 and 7/25. Then on 7/26/2022 (twice) with 151,261 miles and again at 151,264 miles. Then 08/01/2022 at 151,475 miles four to five times. And so it goes. The car suddenly lurches like it’s downshifting. If you were to keep driving the car, the transmission does not shift. The faster you go the higher the tachometer goes. When I took it to the dealer, I had to use the highway. Could not go above 60mph. The tach reading was too high. All four door locks start unlocking and locking and they keep doing this till you shut the car off. Vehicle chimes start going off. A “Service Power Steering” message appears on the center message board. A “Service Stabili Trak” message appears on the center message board. A “Service Parking Assist” message appears on the center message board. The Malfunction Indicator Lamp icon is on. The Brake System Warning light is on. After pulling to the side of the road and you put the car in reverse, there is no backup camera picture. After shutting the car off and then restarting it, all is well until it happens again. Since the first occurrence, I’ve also noticed when using the remote control FOB, the car starts then shuts off within three seconds. But it does not do this every time.
The car stalls in traffic and the air conditioning will stop working and remote start doesn't work although I have paid for it to be fixed. You can just be driving along the car will stop and not start. It has stalled 6 times in mid traffic putting my life and my children's life in danger we almost was hit by other cars on the highway because the car stopped suddenly. I had the car towed to the Shortline Buick GMC 1301 S Havana St. Aurora, CO. 80012 because of this and they charged me $1000 and only change filters did not fix the car or the remote start. This on or around October 13, 2020.
Car is having transmission issues. Car doesn't know what gear it's in. Very similar issues to the recall that is saying my car isn't affected. Doors are trying to lock and unlocking by themselves. Stalling and shuts off while driving
February 2021 Electronic parking brake activated while vehicle moving without being activated. Vehicle slid to a stop. This is a major safety issue for both the driver and other vehicles on the road as the vehicle is braking on its own and locking the rear wheels. Service parking brake light illuminated. Vehicle was brought to Jim Curley Buick GMC in Lakewood, Nj. Parking brake module was replaced at customer cost. October 2021 Same issue reoccurred. Vehicle was brought again to Jim Curley. Dealer replaced parking brake module again. Issue reoccurred while in dealer possession. Dealer is now replacing all rear calipers, rotors, and pads at customer cost. Vehicle is a major safety risk as this issue causes the vehicle to unexpectedly brake and lock the rear wheels causing the driver to lose control.
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Verano. The contact stated while shifting the gear shifter into park, the gear shifter button fractured and detached in her hand. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
ME AND MY FRIEND WAS SITTING IN MY BUICK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE INDICATOR SAYS PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF AND THE DIC SAYS SERVICE AIRBAG AND THE RED AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
A "Service Side Detection Error" is causing multiple electrical issues in the front dash: prevent defrost and heat from working in the middle of a Vermont winter. This prevents me from seeing where I am going. This has also caused erratic problems with any function/feature on my electric panel, and erratic errors that come and go. There is a VERY HIGH NUMBER of Buick drivers who have had this error with the SAME EXACT issues. The sensors in the back wheel wells are not water proof. They get corroded. Additionally, after the sensors are replace, Buick requires the computer be reprogrammed only through them. non-GM service centers literally cannot reprogram them. I plan to get on each forum to request all drivers with this error file reports with NHTSA. I don't feel enough drivers know that they should/could do this and just end up paying this repair because they are just barely out of warranty, or GM says it is not covered. I also home to start a class-action lawsuit as electric panel issues involving our heating/cooling system fans and defrost, and other random electric problems related to this are vital to a drivers safety.
MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. I AM HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR. ELECTRICAL, LIGHTS, THE AIR SYSTEM.
THE GEAR SHIFT CONSOLE IS COMING APART. UNABLE TO DRIVE. WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE THE CAR I NOTICED THE GEAR SHIFT BUTTON/LATCH FELL OFF. WAS UNABLE TO PUT IT BACK, HAD TO TAPE IT BACK ON UNTIL IT GOT TOWED.
SAME ISSUE I SEE MULTIPLE GM OWNERS HAVING. SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS AFTER MULTIPLE REPAIRS. HAVE HAD SENSORS REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE HAD TO EVERY YEAR AT LEAST IF NOT EVERY SIX MONTHS. INITIALLY UNDER WARRANTY, BUT NOW NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. I UNDERSTAND VEHICLES HAVE ISSUES, BUT THE SAME ISSUES OVER AND OVER AGAIN IS NOT OKAY. I HAVE HAD WHERE IT SHORTS OUT MY ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING. I LITERALLY FEARED FOR MY LIFE. EVEN THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGES THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH GM SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM. IT CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. IT HAS NEVER BEEN LONGER THAN A YEAR BEFORE THE ISSUE COME UP AGAIN. I AM NOT EVEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE ISSUES THE SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM CAUSES. EITHER I LOSE ALL ELECTRICAL IN THE CAR OR IT DRAINS THE BATTERY SO I CANNOT START THE CAR. I HONESTLY DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I ONLY SEE THE OPTION ONCE TO INDICATE WHEN IT HAPPENED, SO I WILL PUT THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE.
SIDE DETECTION MODULES KEEP BURNING OUT MAKING MY VEHICLE UNDRIVABLE. LOCATION OF MODULE IS UNDER REAR BUMPER AND IS NOT PROTECTED BY THE ELEMENTS. IN SNOWY WET WEATHER, CAUSES FAILURE. WHEN MODULE IS BURNED OUT, NOTHING WILL WORK ON VEHICLE. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN ONE YEAR. *TR
CAR WOULD SHUT OFF WHEN COMING TO A LIGHT SLOW TO GO WHEN PULLING OFF STALLED HAD IT FIX AT JOHN MILES BUICK LAST SUMMER NOW IT STARTED BACK .CAR SEEM TO SHIFT GEAR ON IT OWN RADIO GO DIM THEM BRIGHT UP BY ITSELF .JOHN MILES SAY THEY CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE AUTO START ON KEY CHAIN DO NOT WORK ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN YOU CHANGE THE BATTERIES
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS MY CARS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY FADE IN AND OUT AND SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS MOST EVIDENT IN THE POWER STEERING, RADIO CONTROLS AND AIR CONDITIONING. I HAVE TESTED AND REPLACED BOTH THE BATTERY IN THE ALTERNATOR. I HAVE ALSO BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP SO THEY COULD RUN A DIAGNOSTICS. NOTHING CAN BE IDENTIFIED AS A CENTRAL PROBLEM, BUT THE ISSUE STILL CONTINUES. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AS I LOOSE MY POWER STEERING WHILE TURNING. THIS HAPPENS ON SHORT TRIPS AND LONG TRIPS AND MANY TIMES WHILE ON THE FREEWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS.
2/15/2020 AS I WAS LEAVING WORK AT 10:08A.M AS SOON AS I PULLED OUT OF PARKING LOT AND STARTED TO GO MY CAR SHUT DOWN. I WAS GOING PROBABLY 23 MPH: THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, EVERYTHING CUT OFF. THANK GOD I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN PARK. I WAS BLESSED TO NOT BE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND COULD COAST TO THE CURB AS I FOUGHT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET OUT OF THE STREET. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO START IT AND IT WOULDN'T, I GOT NOTHING, THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. THE KEYS WOULDN'T COME OUT BUT I FIGURED IT OUT. HUSBAND CAME, TOOK OUT BATTERY AND TOOK IT TO GET CHECKED OUT, IT WAS 100%. I CALLED A ROADSIDE SERVICE TO HAVE IT TOWED TO CHEVY, WHERE I BOUGHT IT IN 11/2015, BUT WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS RECONNECTING THE BATTERY THE CAR CAME TO LIFE. I CALLED AND CANCELLED THE TOWI, DROVE HER HOME NO PROBLEM; HOWEVER, SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG 😕THIS CARE IS GETTING TRADED SOON NO MORE BUICKS FOR ME🙋
THE SIDE DETECTION MONITOR KEPT SAYING NEEDED TO BE SERVICE, THEN IT PROGRESSED TO IT NOT TURNING OFF, AND NOW ALL OF THE GAUGES ON MY DASHBOARD STATES THAT IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED: AIRBAG, THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM, AND THE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM. IN ADDITION THE HEAT WILL TURN ON AND OFF AND SO IS THE RADIO.
PASSENGER AIR BAG OFTEN DISPLAYS 'OFF' WHEN PASSENGER IS PRESENT AND SOMETIMES DISPLAYS 'ON' WITH SEAT BELT WARNING DISPLAYED WITH NO PASSENGER PRESENT. THIS OCCURS WITH VEHICLE IN MOTION. DEALERSHIP STATED 'THIS IS A FREQUENT PROBLEM. WE FIXED 2 LAST WEEK'. COST FOR REPAIR IS $1148!!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BUICK VERANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE WARNING LIGHT WOULD FLASH ON AND OFF. I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE A YEAR SOME CHANGE. PARKING BREAK LIGHT COMES WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF AND GOES AWAY ONCE I PUT IT DRIVE OR REVERSE. POWER STEERING LOCKS ON ME WHEN TURNING ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH IS SO DANGEROUS. ALSO SO MANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPUTER IN THE VEHICLE THAT CAUSE THE DOOR TO LOCK AND UNLOCK ON ITS OWN WHEN I TRY TO PUT ON MY FOG LIGHTS THE ENGINE MAY REV UP
WHEN PULLING UP TO PARK MY CAR THE RELEASE BUTTON ON AUTOMATIC STICK SHIFT POPPED OUT MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT IN PARK. WOULD ONLY STAY IN DRIVE. HAD TO TURN TIRES INTO STREET CURB SO CAR WOULDN'T ROLL AWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BUICK VERANO. WHILE DRIVING, THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT TRAVELED FOR 60 MILES WITH NO BRAKES. NOTICED CAR JERKING AND LOSING POWER WHILE GOIN UPHILL. GOING UPHILL SLOWED DOWN TO ONLY GO ABOUT 25MPH. CAME TO NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE FORWARD AT ALL ONLY IN REVERSE. HAD CAR TESTED AT 2 DIFFERENT AUTO PLACES AND WAS GIVEN POSSIBLE CODES OF IT BEING THE TRANSMISSION MODULE. UNFORTUNATELY UP TO NOW HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO AFFORD TO REPAIR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 BUICK VERANO. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT'S TWO YEAR OLD CHILD WANTED THE REAR WINDOWS ROLLED DOWN. THE CONTACT LOOKED UP AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, REMOVED THE CHILD FROM THE VEHICLE, AND ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FIRE WAS COMING FROM THE REAR WINDOW. THE FIRE GREW TOO LARGE AND WAS OUT OF CONTROL. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND THEY EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
A WARNING THAT SAYS "SERVICE STABILI TRAK" APPEARS AT THE SAME TIME IT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE IS GRABBING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONTROL SCREEN WHERE THE RADIO IS BLACKS OUT COMPLETELY ALSO. IT LASTS FROM A SPLIT SECOND TO SEVERAL SECONDS BUT IT RENDERS THE DRIVER HELPLESS TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT, TURNING, BRIGHTENING HEADLIGHTS, USING ELECTRONIC WINDOW BUTTONS...OR JUST WHILE DRIVING AND USING NOTHING ELSE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TWICE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE UPDATED MODULES AND CHANGED THE POWER STEERING MOTOR BUT IT SEEMS TO BE WORSE NOT THAN BEFORE.
THE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM HAS FAILED SO I NO LONGER HAVE MIRROR BLIND SPOT PROTECTION. THE PROBLEM IS ALSO CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILING. THE ISSUE IS EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE COVERED BY BULLITEN 16-NA-178 FOR OTHER GM VEHICLES OF THE SAME MODEL YEARS WHICH USE THE SAME SYSTEM. GM SHOULD RECALL ALL THE CARS THAT USED THIS SYSTEM, NOT JUST SOME AS IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS THE WHOLE CLUSTER CAN GO DEAD WHILE THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN.
MY CAR STOPS EVERYTIME I STOP OR WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IT ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BUICK VERANO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT WOULD TURN ON AND OFF BY ITSELF. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH. WHEN THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO RETURN HOME, THE VEHICLE CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT FIFTEEN MINUTES TO RESTART IT AND DRIVE HOME. THE DEALER (RAY LAETHEM BUICK GMC, 17677 MACK AVE, DETROIT, MI 48224, (313) 886-1700) AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BUICK VERANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PLASTIC BUTTON TO SHIFT GEARS FRACTURED AND BECAME DETACHED. THE FAILURE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIFT GEARS. THE CONTACT CALLED ACURA OF AUGUSTA (1760 GORDON HWY, AUGUSTA, GA 30904, (706) 737-5200) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THE ENTIRE GEAR BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000. *TT*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BUICK VERANO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COULTER BUICK (7780 S AUTOPLEX LOOP, TEMPE, AZ 85284, (480) 666-7397) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. WHILE DRIVING TO MY DESTINATION. THE SILVER LEVER THAT YOU PUSH IN TO SHIFT THE GEARS COMPLETELY FELL OUT IN MY HAND AND THE PIECE THAT HOUSES THE SPRING FOR THE LEVER. I COULD NOT PUT THE CAR IN PARK OR CUT THE CAR OFF.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE WENT TOTALLY DEAD WITH NO WARNING
