Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)CADILLAC ISSUED A TSB IN APRIL 2012 (TSB #PIT-3749D), WHICH IS ALSO NOTED AS NHTSA ID #10037570 REGARDING RUST AND FRAME CORROSION. MY 2005 CADILLAC SRX IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE, AND I WAS JUST QUOTED $5700 TO REPAIR THE MANUFACTURING DEFECT. WHY ISN'T THE NHTSA REQUIRING A RECALL IF THE STRUCTURAL FRAME OF THE CAR IS ERODING AWAY? I CAN SEND YOU ALL MY CORRESPONDENCE WITH CADILLAC CORPORATE OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS.
RIGHT AND LEFT TURN SINGLES HAVE GONE OUT 6 TO 7 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. WHEN THEY ARE REPLACED THEY ONLY LAST A FEW WEEKS. MY DEALERS SATES THAT THE PLUGS NEED REPLACED. I HAVE HEARD THAT THIS AFFECTS 2004 THROUGH 20009. WITH LARGE NUMBER I THINK IT SHOULD BE RECALLED. 30% OF ALL ACCIDENTS ARE CAUSED BY NOT USING OR FAULTY TURN SINGLES. THE DEALER CHARGES $200.00 TO REPLACE THE BULBS PER SIDE. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
