2014 low beams became dim. I changed out the bulbs for new ones and still cannot drive my vehicle at night. The SRX website states this is a known Cadillac SRX problem but there is no fix except to replace the lights with the same defective lights
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving with the panoramic sunroof visor opened, the contact attempted to close the sunroof visor and the material ripped on the driver's side. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who referred the contact to the local dealer. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the contact was informed that the mechanic was unable to repair the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact to cut the material off. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
The headlamp assembly is faulty. There is virtually no visibility from headlights. The headlamps were so bad, I was put at risk because I was almost hit head on by an oncoming vehicle at night. I had to veer off the road to avoid collision, risking mine and my daughter's life. It has been inspected by dealership and confirmed the headlight assembly faulty because of damage to internal component. An independent service center diagnosed and confirmed as well.
DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR DELAMINATED. CAR HAS EXACTLY 46663 MILES ON IT AND IS GARAGE KEPT. CADILLAC SAYS SORRY IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY AND WANTS ALMOST $500 TO REPLACE THIS SAFETY RELATED ITEM.
THE HEAD LAMPS DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE OBJECTS ON THE ROAD. THERE ARE HUNDREDS ON COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER SRX OWNERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ON DRIVING TEST.ORG. THE LOW BEAMS ON THIS CAR AS SO DIM THAT YOU CANNOT DRIVE IT SAFELY AT NIGHT. CADILLAC REFUSES TO ACCEPT THERE IS AN ISSUE. MULTIPLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED AND THIS SAME COMPLAINT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY NHSTA HASN'T LOOKED INTO THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT PRESENTS DANGEROUS SITUATION AND AFFECTS MULTIPLE CADILLAC MODELS FROM 2010 TO 2015. PROBLEM CONTINUES TO WORSEN AS THE CAR AGES. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE OBVIOUS SAFETY HAZARD.

REAR WIPER SPUN 360 DEGREES AND WONT RESET TO PROPER ALIGNMENT. *TR
DRIVING IN LIGHT SNOW/ICE AND EXTREME COLD (APPROXIMATELY 15 DEG F) CONDITIONS, WIPERS CONTINUALLY CLOGGED WITH ICE. WHILE THIS MAY APPEAR TO BE AN EXPECTED RESULT, THE DESIGN OF THE WIPER LOCATION BELOW THE POINT ON THE WINDSHIELD WHERE THE FRONT WINDOW DEFROSTER HITS THE WINDOW MAY HAVE EXACERBATED THE PROBLEM. SNOW AND ICE FROM THE WINDSHIELD MELTED, RAN DOWN WINDSHIELD TO THE WIPER LOCATION AND IMMEDIATELY REFROZE - RENDERING THE WIPERS INEFFECTIVE. CONTINUAL USE OF THE WIPERS (NOT INTERMITTENT) APPEARED TO SOMEWHAT AMELIORATE THE ISSUE. *TR
LOW BEAMS ARE TOO DIM TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT.
