THE CONTACT MOVED THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE GARAGE AND THE FUEL ODOR WAS STILL PRESENT. THE CONTACT NOTICED EVIDENCE OF THE FUEL LEAK ON THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ELKINS CHEVROLET (401 Route 73 SOUTH, MARLTON, NJ 08053, (856) 983-9200) TO BE INSPECTED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL LINES WERE RUSTED AND LEAKING NEAR THE WHEEL WELL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68369. *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WERE NEEDED TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS A STRONG GASOLINE ODOR THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH BOB VALENTI CHEVROLET (72 JERRY BROWNE RD #3050, MYSTIC, CT 06355, (860) 536-4931) AND INQUIRED ABOUT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V419000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,633.
CONSTANT POWER STEERING, TRACTION CONTROL AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ENGINE LIGHT MESSAGES. POWER STEERING LOSS CAUSING CAR TO BE UNDRIVEABLE. THIS HAPPENS DURING CAR START UP AND WHILE DRIVING BOTH ON THE ROAD AND FREEWAY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, SHE WAS INFORMED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14E021000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 10V073000(STEERING) WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JEFF JOHNSON CHEVROLET(2533 CARROLLTON PIKE, WOODLAWN, VA 24381) WHERE SHE DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF TO HAVE THE RECALLS REPAIRED. WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AS AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT DROVE STRAIGHT INTO DITCH AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES DUE TO THE ACCIDENT AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO HER FIANC'S HOUSE. SHE IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER TO INFORM THEM OF THE ACCIDENT AND ALSO INFORMED THAT SHE HAD NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SLANTED TO THE RIGHT BY ABOUT ONE TO TWO INCHES UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED HER THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NOT APART OF THE STEERING WHEEL RECALL. THE CONTACT CALLED ANOTHER DEALER,FLOW BUICK-GMC(1945 SKIBO RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28314) WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT SINCE THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN SERVICED, THEY COULD NOT ASSIST HER WITH THE MATTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS THEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS INFORMED THAT A SENIOR ADVISOR WOULD CONTACT HER ABOUT THE MATTER. THE SENIOR ADVISOR HAD CALLED HER BACK AND INFORMED HER THAT THE RECALL WAS INACTIVE AND THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT THE INITIAL DEALER TO GET THEIR SIDE OF THE STORY. THE CONTACT HAD YET TO HEAR BACK FROM THE ADVISOR. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 172,000.
The contact's daughter owns a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the power steering failed, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn. Additionally, the door locks would lock and unlock independently, and the speedometer was not functioning properly. The electric power steering warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH COMING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, WHEN THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, THEN THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 20-30 MINUTES. THE VEHICLE'S POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL FUNCTIONALITY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 170,000.
1.GAS SMELL - FUEL LEAKS AFTER LEAK FIX STILL SMELL GAS (EVEN AFTER SETTING FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. 2-DOOR LOCK ISSUES-EVEN AFTER FIXED BY GM-NOW WON'T LOCK AT ALL 3.AIR BAGS- GM STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT GET PARTS IN 4.ELECTRONIC ISSUES -START AUTO NOW SHOW-POWER STEERING, HAD CHECKED BY GM WONT ECM WON'T CUMMUNICATE WITH TCM. I HAVE HAD ALL OF THIS CHECKED BY ANTHONY CHEVROLET AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! STATE THEY CANNOT GET PARTS AND OR NOT WORTH FIXING.
Before I get into all of it there has never been an accident not yet at least. I do everything I can to try an stop that from happening, (but accidents do happen) only because I know my car could kill on me so I’m extra careful. 1) After I get gas I’m my car the car won’t start right away. I have to restart it a couple times an step in the gas an rev up wasting the gas I just put in to get it to start. 2) When I stop an start to pull out of somewhere on to a main road the car will just die on me so I’m stuck pulling out in traffic trying to get my car to start again. It’s when I come to a stop an pull out it just kills on me. So I have to make sure no one else is coming an I have enough time to be able to restart it otherwise I’m worried when I pull out of anywhere or stop an go that another car will smack into me because my car just died on me in the middle of the road/ pulling out an crossing lanes. SUPER SCARY! 3) Let get into the next issue so anytime I run my ac my car starts to do this jumping thing like it wants to kill on me not to mention it has killed on me with the ac on (I live in Louisiana an it’s too hot not to have ac plus I have 3 kids) what’s sad is the ac works fine but if you want the car to maybe not die then turn it off an you have a better chance of it not killing off on you but not always a guarantee. So ill run it for second to try an cool down so I’m not drenched in sweat but I have no other choice to turn it off so the car doesn’t just die on me. This refers back to the 2nd problem I make sure it’s off anytime I pull out of anywhere thinking that would help it from killing on me while trying to get out of anywhere but it doesn’t but I can tell you If the ac is on when I pull out when I start to go it dies right as I’m in the middle of the road every time never fails. Mechanics have replaced parts trying to fix the issue, but it still happens I can’t keep buying/fixing things for nada, ongoing problems since buying.

THE VEHCILE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER MIKE RAISOR BUICK GMC CADILLAC LOCATED AT 2912 EAST MAIN ST, LAFAYETTE, IN 47904, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT STRUTS AND SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE STRUTS WERE REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT A FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS NEEDED. AFTER PERFORMING THE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHCILE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVESHAFT AND STEERING COLUMN WERE DEFECTIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE FUEL FEED LINE AND FUEL RETURN LINE ASSEMBLY REPLACED BACK IN FEB 2020 BECAUSE OF STRONG SMELL OF GAS AND LEAKING GAS NOW THE ISSUE HAS STARTED AGAIN NOT SURE WHY STRONG ODOR OF GAS AND LEAKING STARTED ABOUT JULY/AUGUST
ON 7-20-20 I SPOKE WITH STEPHANIE ( 1-800-222-1020) ON THE NHTSA SITE, WERE I GOT THE PHONE NUMBER. I TOLD HER I ENTERED MY VIN AND FOUND THERE WERE 6 RECALLS ON MY 2006 CHEVY COBALT. I EXPLAINED TO HER ON 7-15-20, I LEFT FOR WORK BUT NOTICED MY POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I WAS AFRAID I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THE TURN ONTO THE EXPRESSWAY BECAUSE OF THE STEERING. I WENT AND PURCHASED POWER STEERING FLUID, ONLY TO LEARN THERE WAS NO PLACE TO PUT IT. STEPHANIE AND I LOOKED AT THE RECALLS TOGETHER. WE DISCUSSED THE NUMEROUS RECALLS SHE SAW ALONG WITH ME. SHE SET-UP A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT HERE IN CONWAY, ARK WERE I NOW RESIDE FOR 7-23-20 @ 7:00AM. SUPERIOR DEALERSHIP. I ARRIVED AND (LISA) ASKED IF I HAD AN APPOINTMENT, I SAID YES. I TOLD HER WHAT MY ISSUE WAS AND SHE WENT INTO MY CAR AND PULLED OUT SOMETHING UNDER THE DASH. SHE HAD IN HER HAD SOMETHING SHE SAID WOULD LIGHT UP RED IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE ON A MACHINE IN ORDER TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEMS. SHE THEN TOLD ME THERE WERE THREE RECALLS ON THE CAR BUT THEY ALL HAD BEEN FIXED. AND STATED I WOULD BE CHARGED $ 150.00 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I EXPLAINED TO HER I HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATIONS PERTAINING TO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. I CLEARLY SAW ON THE NHTSA SITE RECALLS FOR , THE GAS TANK WHICH I HAD TO REPLACE BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING GAS. I REPLACED A FUEL THROTTLE BECAUSE WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY I LOST POWER IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG BECAUSE IT IS SHOWING IT'S OFF, SO I KNOW IF I WERE TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT IT WILL NOT DEPLOY. I BELIEVE THE RECALLS I SAW ON THE SITE WERE LEGIT RECALLS. I'M NOT CERTAIN HOW THEY DISAPPEARED FROM THE SITE WHEN I SHOWED UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT ONLY A FEW DAYS LATER. I WAS TOLD I COULD PAY THE $150 BECAUSE THEIR TECHS HAD TO BE PAID OR GET RID OF THE CAR.
I WAS DRAVING MY CAR ON THE CITY AT 30 TO 35 MPH AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE VEICLE START ACTING WEIRD AND THEN THE POWER STEERING ALARM WHEN ON. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR WITH A LITTLE OF STRUGGLE. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO CHECK THE FRONT OF THE CAR TO SEE IF SOMETING WAS WRONG BUT I COULDN'T SEE ANY VISUAL PROBLEM SO I TURN THE CAR OFF AND TORNED BACK ON AND STILL THE CAR KEEP GIVING ME THE SAME PROBLEM, LUCKILY I MANAGE TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK HOME AT 5 MPH.
MY GAS TANK IS LEAKING FUEL.FROM THE TOP OF MY TANK
YESTERDAY WAS ON WAY HOME FROM WORK AND CAR JUST DIED ON CITY STREET WITH NO WARNING. I SOMEHOW MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT AND OUT OF TRAFFIC. I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND NO THE CAR WONT START BACK UP SO I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED HOME. LAST WEEK I LOST POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING ON A RURAL ROAD AND THEN CAR STARTED ACTING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO DIE. I STOPPED AND WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR JERKED INTO A FORWARD POSITION. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED THE CAR AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTING REALLY HARD GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR WHEN GETTING READY TO SLOW DOWN IT SEEMED LIKE THE CAR WAS A MANUAL AND I HAD IT IN 5TH GEAR BECAUSE IT WAS SEEMING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WAS IDLING IN THE WRONG GEAR AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN. SOMETIME THE KEY WILL GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND I HAVE THE STEERING COLUMN COVER OFF SO I CAN PUSH THE WHITE BUTTON TO RELEASE THE KEY. WHEN THE KEYS ARE NOT IN THE IGNITION THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE RPM AND EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL IN THE CAR JUMPS BACK AND FORTH LIKE THE CAR WAS ON.
POWER STEERING LIGHT COME ON AND OFF AND ANTI-THEFT LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF USUALLY WHEN TURNING AND ON HIGHWAY
EVERYTIME I GET NEAR MY CAR A SMALL A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL, EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF MY VEHICLE AND IT SEEMS TO BE TURNING TO MUCH GAS FOR A 4 CYLINDER ENGINE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE ENGINE LOSES POWER AND TURNS OFF. TECHNICIANS HAVE SCANNED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO CODES. THEY CHECKED THE FUEL PUMP PRESSURE AND FOUND IT TO BE WITHIN SPECIFICATION (55 PSI). THEY CHECKED FUSES AND ALL CHECK OK. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE BUT TECHNICIANS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE STEERING WHEEL KEEPS LOCKING. THERE ARE TIMES THAT I GET STRANDED AND HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE PICK ME UP BECAUSE O CANNOT GET THE STEERING WHEEL TO UNLOCK.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT AS LONG AS I OWNED THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN STATIONARY POSITION. THE PAINT OF THE CAR IS PEELING I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL CARS AND THE PAINT HAS NEVER PEELED. *TR
THE CAR ISN'T DRIVABLE. ELECTRIC POWER STEERING OUT, ELECTRIC PLUGS AND WIRES, WON'T START AT ALL. NO CLICKS, NOTHING. IF YOU TURN THE KEY NOTHING HAPPENS, BUT A LIGHT THAT IS A CAR WITH A LOCK THROUGH IT. THIS IS MY DAUGHTER'S ONLY TRANSPORTATION. I SAW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING AND ELECTRICAL. FUEL LEAK NEAR LEFT REAR WHEEL. SMELLED GASOLINE. PARKED VEHICLE. SAW A PUDDLE OF GAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. CHECKED WITH CHEVROLET SINCE THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THERE IS A SPECIAL BULLETIN 12191 COVERING THIS ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE FREE OF CHARGE TO FIX BUT NOBODY RELATED TO CHEVROLET I SPOKE WITH KNOWS ABOUT THIS. *TR
GAS LINE IS LEAKING ON REAR DRIVERS SIDE. CAR WAS AT THE SHOP AND THE GAS CAUGHT ON FIRE ON THE GROUND AND COULD HAVE KILLED US AND ALL THE WORKERS. I THINK GM NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. MINE IS NOT THE ONLY CAR WITH THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AND THE CONTACT PULLED OFF TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME VERY SLOWLY AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN HER DRIVEWAY. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

THE CONTACT STATED AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC USED A KILL SWITCH TO DRAIN THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER NOR WAS THE MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF PARKING WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND I WAS PAUSING TO CHECK MY REAR VIEW MIRROR BEFORE PROCEEDING TO REVERSE INTO A PARKING SPOT WHEN MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY COLLAPSED ON THE FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE. MY SPINDLE A FACTORY PIECE WAS FAULTY IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED ME AND MY BABY SISTER WOULD HAVE WRECKED AND BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE CHEVY COBALT ALREADY HAS NUMEROUS RECALLS AND MANUFACTURERS TOOK MANY SHORT CUTS! THAT CHEAP METAL COULD'VE COSTED A LIFE!
THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT APPEARS THE CAR IDLES AND SHIFTS HARD TRIES TO SHIFT OFF. THE LOCKS UNLOCK AND RELOCK IN A FAST PACE. THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT FLASHES. IT DOES NOT MATTER MY SPEED OF THE VEHICLE IT HAPPENS EVEN WHEN DRIVING 10 MILES AN HOUR. IT IS VERY SCARY. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR. WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL IT IS ROUGH TO TURN. *TR

THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER, THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT A STORE I WENT TO GET IN IT AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON IT WOULD NOT LET ME TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN RECALLED IN MY CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND JK CHEVROLET (1451 S HWY 69, NEDERLAND, TX 77627) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
2006 CHEVY COBALT. AFTER COMING TO A STOP ,AT A STOP SIGN, FOR EXAMPLE, STEERING WHEEL LOCKS, ENGINE SHUTS OFF, KEY SOMETIMES STICKS IN THE IGNITION LOCK, OCCURS RANDOMLY AND WITH OUT WARNING. CAR WILL RESTART AND BEHAVE NORMALLY. DEALER REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH UNDER RECALL IN LATE 2014. WENT TO DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR HELP WITH STICKING IGNITION SWITCH. CURRENTLY DEALER REFUSES TO REINSPECT IGNITION SWITCH WITH OUT AGREEMENT TO DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE. CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE. GM ADMITS THERE IS A EXTENDED WARRANTY UNTIL 2020 FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH {WARRANTY LETTER 14632) CUSTOMER SERVICE REP FURTHER INDICATED THAT ANY PARTS REPLACED HAVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY ONLY. AND MY IGNITION SWITCH IS PAST PARTS WARRANTY. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE STATED THAT THE DEALER IS WITHIN THERE RIGHTS TO DEMAND A DIAGNOSTIC FEE IF THE DEALER DETERMINES THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE IGNITION SWITCH. WE INDICATED TO THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH IS LOCKING UP AGAIN. ITS WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT GM FEELS THAT THE RECALL REPAIR IS A ONE TIME EVENT. GM REFUSES TO LOOK AT THE IGNITION SWITCH AGAIN UNLESS I AGREE TO PAY FOR DIAGNOSTICS REGARDLESS OF ANY SAFETY ISSUES INVOLVED.
THE POWER STEERING ON MY 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT CUTS OUT WITHOUT WARNING. IT WORKS WITHOUT A PROBLEM AND THEN WITHOUT WARNING THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMS TO LOCK, OR IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THIS IS HAPPENING NOW EVEN THOUGH MY VEHICLE SHOWS ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE AS NOT HAVING ANY OUTSTANDING RECALLS. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC ON A CITY STREET, WHILE TURNING IN AN INTERSECTION ACROSS ONCOMING TRAFFIC ON 11/11/2019. FORTUNATELY NO COLLISIONS OCCURRED, BUT THIS COULD HAVE ENDED IN CATASTROPHE.
WHILE DRIVING TODAY DOOR LOCKS UNLOCK AND LOCK AGAIN RANDOMLY. IT WAS SCARY. I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN. ALSO TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. BEGAN RUNNING ROUGH AND LUNGING. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY OWN CAR.

I WAS WAS BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY AND POWER STEERING WENT OUT FOR A FEW SECONDS. I CONTINUED DRIVING TO THE STORE AT AROUND 25MPH AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND BACK SEVERAL TIMES. I SLOWED DOWN TO TURN AROUND AND THE STEERING WENT OUT I WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TURN PROPERLY RAN OVER THE CURB AND ALMOST HIT THE MINIMART GAS PUMPS SCARED THE CRAP OUTTA ME!! CALLED MY SON-IN-LAW AND HE CAME AND DROVE IT HOME FOR ME AS HE WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT.

FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS DRIVING TO AND FROM WORK MY CHEVY COBALT HAS BEEN PUTTING ME IN DANGER. WHEN I START TO BREAK, SOMETIMES THE SYMBOL WITH A LOCK AND KEY, AND AIR BAG LIGHTS WILL TURN ON AND THE CAR STEERING WHEEL WOULD LOCK AND THE BRAKES WOULD COME UP RESULTING IN THE CAR BEING TURNED OFF WHILE I AM ON DRIVE. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE I CANNOT TURN THE WHEEL AND THE BRAKE IS ALSO LOCKED. I GET OUT OF MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC TO PUSH IT BY MYSELF THEN JUMP IN IT AND TRY TO START IT. THIS METHOD WORKS SOMETIMES BUT IS DANGEROUS TO NOT ONLY MYSELF BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY OTHERS.
