WHILE DRIVING MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON THEN MY POWER STEERING FLASHED ON AS WELL. MY CAR JERSEY LIKE IT WAS GONNA CUT OFF. I CUTHINK IT OFF AND IT STARTED BACK UP. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH COBALTS.
A FEW DAYS AGO, WE WERE IN THE GARAGE AND A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE WAS COMING FROM OUR CAR, A 2006 CHEVY COBALT. WE CHECKED ONLINE TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND NOTICED THAT ONLY COBALTS MANUFACTURED IN ARIZONA AND NEVADA WERE COVERED. REALLY GM. SINCE WE LIVE IN OHIO, OUR SAFETY IS NOT HIGH ON THE LIST AS THOSE WHO LIVE IN ARIZONA AND NEVADA. I REALLY HOPE THAT NHTSA CAN ENFORCE A RECALL SO THIS ISSUE CAN BE FIXED. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS SURROUNDING THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET.
BACK GAS SMELL.
IGNITION LOCK - CAR GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND WON'T RELEASE. LOCKS ON DOOR MOVE UP AND DOWN ON THEIR OWN AND EVENTUALLY RUN BATTERY DOWN GEAR SHIFT TRIES TO SHIFT ON ITS OWN AND CLICKS FREQUENTLY
BOUGHT CAR IN 2016 FROM SILVER EAGLE AUTO MALL IN MISSOURI. CALL RANDOMLY CUTS OUT WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS IN ON HIGHWAY AND HAVE TO PULL OVER. HAVE THERE VERY CLOSE TO ACCIDENTS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. BATTERY AN ALTERNATOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED IT DOES NOT JUST DIAL INDUSTRIAL BACK UP IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. NOW AS OF AUGUST 1ST 2018 I AM CURRENTLY SMELLING STRONG GAS ONCE I GET OUT OF CAR WITH CHILDREN... CAN SMELL A LOT FROM DRIVER SIDE IT MAY SEEM ALSO THIS CAR HAS STARTED SMELLING LIKE GAS OUTSIDE OF CAR CAR WON'T START SOMETIMES I'M PLAYING MULTIPLE TURNS WITH KEYS AND IS NOW CUTTING OUT EVEN MORE WHILE DRIVING... BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT FAR AS RANDOM CUTTING OUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE SMELL IS COMING FROM IT IS NOT FROM UNDER HOOD....
SMELLED GAS OUTSIDE AND INSIDE CAR WHILE DRIVING AND PARKED. LOOKED UNDER CAR AND GAS WAS LEAKING FROM FUEL LINE IN FRONT OF DRIVER REAR TIRE. FUEL LINE IN CLOSE QUARTERS WITH EXHAUST AND WAS SPRAYING ONTO EXHAUST PIPE. CONTACTED DEALER TO CHECK ON PRICE OF REPAIR OR RECALL AND DEALER STATED THEY HAVE HAD MANY COBALTS SIMILAR YEAR WITH LEAKING FUEL LINE IN SAME LOCATION. STATED GM USED AN ABSORBENT HEAT WRAP ON THAT SECTION OF FUEL LINE AND THAT IS CORRODING THE LINE. COST FOR REPLACING LINES WAS OVER $800. I AM DECIDING ON REPAIR ROUTE DUE TO EXCESSIVE COST OF REPAIR. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FAILURE IN GM'S END AND NEEDS THE FUEL LINE RECALLED. APPEARS BOTH LINES ARE LEAKING RIGHT BY EACH OTHER. THIS IS A FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD AND IS VERY COMMON. GM RECALLED THE FUEL PUMPS FOR POSSIBLE LEAKS BUT NOT THESE FAILING LINES? MY GARAGE KEPT LOW MILEAGE (97000) CAR SHOULD NOT NEED IT'S FUEL LINES REPLACED ALREADY, ESPECIALLY AT $800 PLUS.
GAS IS LEAKING ONTO THE GROUND ON THE DRIVERS SIDE UNDER THE CAR. LEAKS WHEN CAR IS ON AND FOR A MINUTES OR TWO WHEN CAR IS TURNED OFF.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V419000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 111,000.
MY CAR HAS NO POWER STEERING AND I REPLACED THE POWER STEERING PUMP
CAN'T OPEN DRIVERS DOOR FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE HANDLES. NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, IF ACCIDENT OCCURS HOW DOES THE EMERGENCY PERSONAL GET YOU OUT?

IF THE DOOR WAS OPEN, IT WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

DURING THE CRASH, THE FRONT END WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED AN INJURED LEG. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE FUEL LINES IN MY 2006 CHEVY COBALT BEGAN LEAKING YESTERDAY. A FUEL SMELL WAS NOTICED IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR. I ALSO NOTICED SOME DRIPPING FUEL IN THE REAR OF THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE PREVIOUS RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THE PLASTIC LINE THAT WENT INTO THE FUEL PUMP. WHILE OFF THE CAR JUST DRIPPED FUEL ABOUT 1 DROP EVERY 10 SECONDS. WHILE RUNNING AND STATIONARY IT WAS A STEADY STREAM OF FUEL POURING OUT.
AIRBAG WARNING INDICATOR HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY ON.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WONT OPEN, STUCK SHUT. HANDLE FEELS LIKE NOTHING IS THERE . CANT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IF WAS IN A WRECK OR FIRE. VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AS THESE ARE POWER LOCKS AND YOU CAN HEAR THE UNLOCKING SOUND HOWEVER DOOR DOESNT OPEN.
JUST BOUGHT 2006 CHEVY COBALT SS I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING GOING OUT I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE RECALLS I GAVE THEM THE VIN AND OVER THE PHONE THEY SAID THERE IS STILL 3 RECALLS FOR THE CAR I WENT THERE TODAY AND THEY SAID THERE WAS ONLY ONE THEY FIXED IT BUT IT WASN'T THE POWER STEERING HE SAID IT WAS ALREADY FIXED BUT THERE BEEN TIMES THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT ON ITS OWN AND I'M CURIOUS IF THEY ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THAT RECAL. ANOTHER THING WAS THE AIRBAGS WHICH I BELIEVE WAS ANOTHER RECALL FOR THE CAR THE AIRBAG LIGHTS IS ON AND ONCE AGAIN THEY REFUSED TO COVER IT.

THE CONTACT HAD TO SWITCH LANES, PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, AND COAST OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 249,900.
STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED. COULD NOT TURN STEERING IN ANY DIRECTION. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING INTO MY DRIVEWAY. I WAS VERY LUCKY THAT THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN AT THE VERY BUSY INTERSECTION THAT I JUST CAME FROM. I WENT TO MY CHEVY DEALER AND THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT ANY RECALL. THIS THING IS GOING TO KILL PEOPLE. *TR
REAR DOORS WON'T UNLOCK.
ON SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2016 I BOUGHT A NEW TWO PACK OF SYLVANIA 3157 LL LONG LIFE LAMPS FROM WAL-MART AND USED ONE TO REPLACE MY OLD LEFT REAR BLINKER LIGHT WHICH HAD BURNED OUT. THE LIGHTS ARE SPECIFIED AS VALID REPLACEMENT LIGHTS FOR THE 2006 CHEVY COBALT. ON DECEMBER 26TH, 2016 I NOTICED THAT THE SAME LEFT REAR BLINKER LIGHT WAS NOT WORKING AGAIN. ON DECEMBER 27TH, 2016 I AGAIN ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE THE BLINKER LIGHT UNSUCCESSFULLY. ON THIS DAY I NOTICED THAT THE PLASTIC ON THE BULB HAD BURNT AND MELTED AT THE BULB'S CONNECTION POINT ONTO THE METAL CONTACTS OF THE BLINKER ASSEMBLY (SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS). THIS SEEMS TO BE A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD FOR THE VEHICLE. UPON RESEARCHING, I FOUND OTHER FOLKS COMPLAINING ABOUT SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THEIR RUNNING LIGHTS ON THE CHEVY COBALT AS EVIDENCED HERE: HTTP://WWW.YOURCOBALT.COM/FORUMS/PROBLEMS-SERVICE/18928-BURNING-OUT-TURN-SIGNAL-LIGHT-BULBS.HTML. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET WHEN THE BULB MELTED.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON MY DAUGHTERS CAR. SHE ALMOST CRASHED INTO ANOTHER CAR. APPARENTLY THIS IS ELECTRIC AND DOES NOT USE TRANSMISSION FLUID
THERE IS A FUEL PUMP LEAK. ALSO THERE IS A RECALL ON OTHER COBALTS FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE MY CAR IS NOT COVERED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000.
WHILE PARALLEL PARKING VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF A CITY STREET, THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT, MAKING IT NEARLY PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN THE CAR STEERING WHEEL. IT FELT LIKE THE WHEELS WERE FROZEN OR STUCK, ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY, TURNING, OR BACKING UP. GM RECALL NUMBER N100023
THIS HAS HAPPEN TO ME 5 TIMES ALL AT DIFFERENT TIMES. ONE TIME I WAS STATIONARY IN A PARKING LOT. THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN DRIVING DOWN CITY STREETS, TURNING CORNERS AND ON THE HIGHWAY. I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR JUST START MY CAR AND THE GAUGES JUST GO NUTS. MY SECURITY LIGHT WILL COME ON MY FUEL GAUGE, RPM GAUGE. AND MPH GAUGE WILL JUST GO TO ZERO. THE RPM GAUGE BOUNCES UP TO 900-1000 THEN BACK TO ZERO. THE WORDS ON THE DASH WILL READ LOW FUEL (EVEN IF I ACTUALLY HAVE A FULL TANK) AND THEN IT'LL CUT MY POWER STEERING AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO TURN AT ALL OR BARELY. I ALSO HAVE A VIDEO OF IT DOING IT WHILE I WAS STATIONARY. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND HAS MADE ME ALMOST CRASH MULTIPLE TIMES. AND ONCE I ACTUALLY HIT A CURB IN A PARKING LOT WHEN IT DECIDED TO HAPPEN.

THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 147,000.
MY PROBLEMS ARE CAME ABOUT WITH THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ON THIS VEHICLE AS I HAVE SEARCHED AND FOUND THE PROBLEM TOO BE VERY COMMON. FOUND THAT IT HAS BEEN WIDELY RECALLED INCLUDING MY MODEL YEAR WITH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS TOO THE NHTSA. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS GETTING READY TOO GO TO A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT, THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ON THE DASHBOARD, EVERYTHING SEEMED TOO BE WORKING EXCEPT THE SPEEDOMETER AND IT DROVE FINE. ON THE WAY BACK HOME HOWEVER THE CAR WOULD NO SHIFT PAST FIRST GEAR. I TOOK IT TOO A MECHANIC THAT LIVES NEXT TOO ME. HE SAID THE WIRING HARNESS WAS BAD, REPLACED IT, GOT IT BACK. DROVE FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS FOR THREE WEEKS, EVEN THE DRIVER FRONT BLINKER WAS WORKING WHICH HAD NEVER WORKED SINCE I GOT THE CAR BACK IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. THEN AFTER THE THREE WEEKS THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME BACK ON AND ALL THE SAME SYMPTOMS ARE BACK, NO SPEEDOMETER, HARD SHIFTING IF ANY, IT EVEN CAUSED THE ENGINE LIGHT TOO COME ON THIS TIME WHICH AN AUTO PARTS STORE DETERMINED TOO BE A RANDOM MISFIRE. I CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS AND IT WENT OFF. MY THEORY IS THAT THE TCM IS NOT GROUNDED CORRECTLY TOO HANDLE THIS AND SHORTS OUT AS I HAVE FOUND THAT OTHERS HAVE GROUNDED THE TCM AND IT HAS FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS TOO THEIR CLAIM. I SEARCHED RECALLS ON MY CAR USING THE VIN AND MY CAR IS NOT LISTED ON IT AND SINCE THIS HAS BEEN RECURRING AND I'VE HAD ALL THE PROBLEMS EVERYONE ELSE HAS NOTED I FEEL THAT IS A GREAT CONCERN. THE MESSAGE AND ALL THE EFFECTS HAPPEN AS SOON AS I START THE CAR IF IT'S GOING TOO HAPPEN (SO FAR). IT FIRST HAPPENED ON THE DATE INDICATED AND THEN AGAIN ON 11/15/2016.
I HAD GOTTEN OUT OF MY VEHICLE AND HAD LOCKED THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR MANUALLY. WHEN I UNLOCKED THE DOOR, AND TRIED TO GET IN MY CAR, THE DOOR WAS STUCK. IT WOULDN'T OPEN FROM EITHER THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. I TRIED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE DOOR AGAIN, BUT IT IS STILL STUCK SHUT. IT IS VERY UNSAFE.
SUDDEN LOSS OF ALL POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING.

MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNING OFF WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING. THIS ABRUPT "TURNING OFF" STARTED OCCURRING EVEN BEFORE THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS CHANGED BY GM BUT NOW IT IS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT. PRIOR TO THE IGNITION SWITCH BEING CHANGE, EACH TIME THE CAR WOULD TURN OFF THE AIRBAG SENSOR WOULD FLASH REPEATEDLY. AFTER THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS CHANGED I NOTIFIED THE DEALER THAT THE AIRBAG SENSOR REMAINED LIT, AND THEY JUST TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A FAULTY SENSOR AND THAT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WAS FIXED ON THE IGNITION. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD ME THAT IF I CHOSE TO HAVE IT FIXED, IT WOULD BE AN OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. I NEVER TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THAT REPAIR. THIS MONTH I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ALTHOUGH TH ACCIDENT DID OCCUR BECAUSE OF THE CAR TURNING OFF ON ME, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY THAT DAY AND THAT MY CAR CONTINUES TO TURN OFF ON ME. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SPEED THE VEHICLE IS GOING EITHER, THE VEHICLE TURNS ITSELF OFF. IT'S HAS HAPPENED IN NORMAL TRAFFIC AFTER ATTEMPTING TO CROSS AND INTERSECTION, ON THE HIGHWAY AND EVEN WHILE MAKING A TURN. I REALLY FEEL THIS COULD CAUSE A MAJOR CAR ACCIDENT IF NOT REPAIRED SOON. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE SHOP TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED BUT THEY CANNOT FIND WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. ONE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. ANOTHER MECHANIC SAID IT COULD BE THE TRANSMISSION. I KEEP GETTING CONFLICTING DIAGNOSES.

RECENTLY STARTED TO NOTICE A FUEL ODOR EMANATING FROM UNDER VEHICLE ADJACENT TO THE REAR WHEELS, STARTED TO NOTICE APPX. TWO WEEKS AGO. I AM AWARE OF THE 2009 RECALL (GM-09226) REGARDING THE 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT FUEL SYSTEM (FUEL PUMP AND CRACKED FUEL LINES). SO FAR, THERE IS NOT ANY NOTICEABLE LIQUID GASOLINE, BUT THE ODOR IS PREVALENT, ESPECIALLY AFTER VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A VENTING ISSUE, BUT NOT SO SURE NOW. GAS CAP IS IN GOOD CONDITION. SINCE THIS VEHICLE IS REGISTERED IN PA, THE 2009 RECALL DID NOT APPLY EVEN THOUGH MY VIN IS IN THE RECALL RANGE. VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN 2010, NO RECALL LETTER EVER RECEIVED BY GM. I HAD CALLED A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER TO VERIFY VIN AND IF IT WOULD APPLY, BUT WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE'S VIN IS NOT SLATED FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS TO THE FUEL SYSTEM. VERY CONCERNED DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FOR A SERIOUS PROBLEM REGARDING FUEL LEAKS. TRYING TO DETERMINE WHETHER TO TAKE TO CHEVROLET DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS OR GO TO A TRUSTED, LOCAL MECHANIC.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTROL MODULE OR MOTOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,000.
OUR 2006 COBALT HAS EXPERIENCED A FAILURE OF THE POWER STEERING, REQUIRING A REPLACEMENT STEERING COLUMN AND ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING MOTOR. THIS IS THE SAME PART THAT WAS REPLACED IN 2010 AS PART OF RECALL NO. N100023. I TALKED WITH GM REPRESENTATIVES OVER THE PHONE, AND THEY STATED THAT GM PARTS ARE WARRANTED FOR 12 MONTHS FOLLOWING THE REPLACEMENT UNDER THE RECALL. OTHERWISE, REPAIRS ARE ONLY WARRANTED UNDER THE STANDARD MANUFACTURER OR EXTENDED WARRANTY IF PURCHASED.
LEAKING FUEL FROM DRIVERS SIDE IN FRONT OF REAR TIRE. APPARENTLY RELATED TO THE ISSUE THAT RESULTS IN RECALLS IF YOUR CAR IS FROM CERTAIN STATES WHICH MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. IT IS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM RELATED TO SAFETY ON ALL CARS OF THIS YEAR AND MODEL NUMBER. SOMEHOW IF YOU LIVE OR BOUGHT THE CAR IN CERTAIN STATES YOUR SAFETY IS NOT IMPORTANT. THE CARS ALL USE THE SAME PARTS! THE SMELL OF FUEL HAS BEEN FOR SOME TIME. I JUST FOUND IT DRIPPING FUEL TODAY. LEAKS WHETHER MOVING OR PARKED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
HAD IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED FOR RECALL ABOUT A YR AGO. WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE CAR SHOWED POWER STEERING IN INFO LINE. THEN ODOMETER , SPEED, INFO NUMBERS ALL STOPPED WORKING. PULLED IN GAS STATION, CAR WON'T START, KEY WON'T COME OUT OF IGNITION. AFTER A FEW MINS, CAR STARTED BACK UP AND NOW ANTI-THEFT LIGHT IS ON. MANAGED TO DRIVE THA CAR 100 MI. BACK HOME BUT NOISE LIKE LAWNMOWER COMING FROM FRONT AND FELT LIKE TRANSMISSION STUCK OR SLIPPING. WAS TERRIFIED THAT CAR WAS GONNA BLOW UP OR JUST STOP AND GET HIT BY SEMI. THE CAR HAS ALSO JUST STOPPED A COUPLE OF TIMES AFTER HAVING THE IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS UNTIL IT WAS REPLACED. I DID HAVE THE FUEL LEAK HAPPEN AND THE ELECTRICAL LIGHTS STOP WORKING AND DIM OR GET BRIGHTER WITH BRAKING. THIS CAR IS SO DANGEROUS TO THE DRIVERS AS WELL AS PUBLIC, IT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE ROAD AND CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SPEND MONEY THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX A MANUFACTURERS SCREW-UP.
THE STEERING HAS GOTTEN TIGHT WHEN MAKING TURNS. LIKE ITS LOW ON POWER STEERING FLUID AND REALIZED THIS IS CONTROLLED ELECTRONICALLY. I'VE READ THAT THERE'S BEEN SOME RECALLS BUT NEVER RECEIVED ONE FOR MY COBALT OF THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN 2006'2007 CHEVROLET COBALT, SATURN ION, AND PONTIAC G5 VEHICLES REGISTERED IN ARIZONA, NEVADA, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA, AND TEXAS BECAUSE OF A CRACK THAT COULD POSSIBLY DEVELOP ON THE PLASTIC SUPPLY OR RETURN PORT OF THE FUEL MODULAR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY. THIS CRACK COULD CAUSE A FUEL LEAK THAT COULD BE OBSERVED DRIPPING ONTO THE GROUND IN SOME CASES, CAUSING A POSSIBLE VEHICLE PERFORMANCE ISSUE AND A FIRE HAZARD. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP MODULE FREE OF CHARGE.
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY COBALT AND IN THE FIRST YEAR I'VE HAD IT I HAD ENCOUNTERED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. THE FIRST PROBLEM WAS THAT THE RADIO THAT WAS INSTALLED STARTED FLASHING AND WAS NOT WORKING WHATSOEVER, AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THE NEXT PROBLEM WAS THE SUSPENSION AFTER JUST 3 MONTHS OF HAVING IT THE SHOCKS WERE WORN OUT COMPLETELY AND HAD TO GET THAT FIXED. THEN JUST 1 MONTH LATER MY STRUTS, TIRE RODS, ALIGNMENT, OIL PRESSURE SENSOR WENT TO COMPLETE "S**T" SO NOW I'M STRUGGLING WITH BILLS AFTER HAVING TO FIX MOST THINGS ON MY CAR I HAVEN'T FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS SINCE I'M LOW ON MONEY HAVING TO KEEP AND KEEP FIXING THIS CAR. THEN TO TOP IT OFF JUST THIS MORNING GOING TO WORK THE "POWER STEERING"LIGHT POPS UP AND I CANT EVEN TURN MY STEERING WHEEL, I TURNED IT OFF AND THEN IT WORKED FINE BUT I'M VERY SCARED IT WILL KEEP HAPPENING ESPECIALLY WHEN GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.
