Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)I WAS TURNING INTO AN APARTMENT COMPLEX PARKING LOT IN NOTED VEHICLE WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED SENDING ME INTO THE SIDE OF THE APARTMENT BUILDING. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING THE BRAKE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THERE WAS NO TIME TO REACT OR AVOID THE SIDE OF BUILDING AND I INCURRED DAMAGE TO BOTH MY VEHICLE AND THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
UPPER CONTROL ARM, RIGHT HAND SIDE, WENT BAD AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT IN UNDER 20,000 MILES. DETECTED WITH A CLUNKING NOISE, AND CONFIRMED WHEN I WENT IN FOR ALIGNMENT. IT WAS REPLACED BEFORE IT BROKE, BUT A BROKEN CONTROL ARM IS A MAJOR SAFETY RISK.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
