LEFT OUTER TIE ROD BEGAN TO SHOW PROBLEMS AT 59000 MILES. THE STEERING HAD A THUD SOUND WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. ALSO, WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS ON THE ROAD OR GRASS YOU COULD FEEL STRONG VIBRATIONS FROM THE FRONT STEERING.
WE HAD 6 RECALLS WE NEVER NEW ABOUT TURN OUT THE CAR BROKE DOWN CALL DEALER AND SAID WE RECEIVE THAT DAY A RECALL CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE CALL POWER TRAIN THEY SENT A WREAKER RECALL WERE FIX NOW THEIR CHARGING 2,200 FOR A ECOTEC TURBOCHARGER THAT'S CRACK IN A GM WEB SITE WHERES THEIR IS A RECALL BUT YET HAVE NOT RECEIVE ONE THIS IS A SINGLE MOM OF 4 KIDS WE NEED CAR FIX ASAP HELP PLEASE MY BROTHER HAS A WRECKER SERVICE ITS IN FORT STOCKTON TX NOT DRIVABLE BAD LOAD NOSE JUST STARTED IN MOTION THIS CAR 3YRS OLD VERY UPSET.
CHEVROLET CRUZE RECALL MY 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE WAS RECALLED TWICE, ONCE OF OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING, AND ONCE FOR BRAKE FAILURE WHEN CRAWLING, SUCH A PARKING. THE DEALERSHIP TRIED TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS, BUT THE BRAKES STILL FAIL, AND NOW THE USES 1 QUART EVERY WEEK. THE BRAKE FAILURE RECENTLY REOCCURRED WHEN MY SPOUSE WAS PARKING AND SHE HIT A WALL AND DAMAGES THE CAR. THE DEALER HAS SINCE TOLD ME THEY DO NOT KNOW WHY THE CAR IS CONSUMING OIL, SO I HAVE ELEVATED THE ISSUE TO GM I THINK THAT THE NTSB HAS TO FURTHER MONITOR THIS PROBLEM TO ASCERTAIN WHY THE RECALLED ITEMS ARE STILL FAILING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT MADE A SPUTTERING NOISE AND BEGAN TO SHAKE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR WAS CONSISTENTLY ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TURNED THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION; HOWEVER, THE ENGINE DID NOT POWER OFF. IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO POWER THE ENGINE OFF. THE CONTACT RELEASED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND KEPT THE VEHICLE PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES UNTIL THE SHAKING AND SPUTTERING CEASED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN FUELING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
MY RADIO FLICKERS ON AND OFF, MY ABS LLIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND OTHER LIGHTS FLICKER OFF AND ON REAL FAST AND ON MY ODOMETER I GET A READING "TRACTION CONTROL" AND SOMETHING ABOUT STABILITRAK CONTROL. EVERYTHING FLICKERS SO FAST IT'S HARD TO SEE EVERYTHING THAT LIGHTS UP. APPARENTLY MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUES.
DRIVING THE RADIO CUTS IN AND OUT MEANWHILE SERVICE STABILITRAC WARNING COMES ON. DOES THIS AROUND 6-12 TIMES IN A 30 MINUTE DRIVE TO AND FROM WORK. ON A FEW INSTANCES THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING. THIS OCCURES ON A DAILY BASIS. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AND AT A STAND STILL. ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON NUMEROUS TIMES. IT IS A P0597 CODE STATING TEMP SENSOR IS INOPERABLE. NON OF THESE ISSUES SHOULD BE GOING ON IN A 2012 WITH LESS THAN 45,000 MILES ON IT.
TWICE I HAVE WALKED BACK TO MY CAR & FOUND THAT THE ENGINE HAS REMAINED ON. AFTER PARKING, I PRESS THE ENGINE ON/OFF BUTTON, EXIT THE CAR, LOCK ALL DOORS WITH THE FOB AND WALK AWAY. THIS TIME, I PARKED IN A VERY LARGE, CROWDED PUBLIC PARKING LOT. I WAS AT LEAST 6 BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE CAR FOR 2 HOURS. THANKFULLY, THIS HAS OCCURRED WHEN THE CAR IS OUTSIDE, NOT IN MY GARAGE. IN RECENT LIGHT OF PEOPLE SUCCUMBING TO CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING DUE TO THIS VERY SITUATION OCCURRING WITH CARS IN CLOSED GARAGES, I WOULD EXPECT A VOLUNTARY OR FORCED RECALL TO REMEDY THIS GM ADMITTED DESIGN DECISION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE RECALLED FOR BRAKE FAILURE AT LOW SPEED. IT WAS ALLEGEDLY REPAIRED AT BACHARODT CHEVROLET, POMPANO BEACH, FL. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE BRAKES AGAIN FAILED AND A CRASH RESULTED AGAINST A WALL AT LOW SPEED IN MY APARTMENT PARKING LOT. AFTER COMPLAINT TO GM WAS SENT TO AUTO NATION CHEVROLET, DELRAY BEACH FL AND THEY DETERMINED THAT THE RECALLED REPLACEMENT SENSOR FOR THE BRAKES WAS NOT PUT ON CORRECTLY BY BACHRODT, AND THAT THEY FAILED AGAIN AND THAT CAUSED THE CRASH, NO INJURIES. GM PICKED UP COST OF REPAIR IN FULL INCLUDING BODY DAMAGE.
A SEATBELT GOT WRAPPED AROUND MY 2 YEAR OLDS NECK AND WOULD NOT LOOSEN AND WE HAD TO CUT THE SEATBELT BECAUSE IT WAS CHOKING HER... IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND LUCKILY MY AUNTS HOUSE WAS CLOSE AND I WAS ABLE TO RUN IN THE HOUSE AND GET SCISSORS TO CUT IT OFF HER.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPER RESERVOIR HOSE HAS COME LOSE AND IS LEAKING 95% OF THE WASHER FLUID INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND IS NOT CLEANING THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING IT HARD TO SEE ON PARTIALLY RAINY OR DUSTY DAYS HERE IN TEXAS. NOT TO MENTION I DO NOT KNOW WHAT PROBLEMS COULD BE CAUSED FROM THE EXCESS WASHER FLUID SPRAYING INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CHEVY WILL NOT COVER THIS UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.
WHILE DRIVING THE ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS SUCH AS RADIO AND INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL START TO FLASH ON AND OFF WITH THE RADIO DISPLAY REBOOTING AT INTERMITTENT TIMES, AND SOMETIMES CONSTANTLY. POWER HAS ON OCCASION BEEN LOST COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING. SOMETIMES THE SYMPTOMS ARE ONLY THE RADIO AND CONSOLE BELOW IT LOSING POWER, BUT WHEN IT GETS REALLY FREQUENT, A COUPLE OF THE INSTRUMENT WARNING LIGHTS REGARDING ABS AND ANOTHER ONE I CANNOT REMEMBER OFF HAND FLASH, AND THE STABILITRAC WARNING IS DISPLAYING "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL". THIS CAN LAST FOR 5 MINUTES OR AS LONG AS A DAY OR MORE. I NOTICED ON AT LEAST TWO OCCASIONS, THE PROBLEMS STARTED ON VERY HUMID DAYS AT BOTH EARLY MORNING AND EVENING TIME FRAMES, AND NECESSARILY WHILE DRIVING IN RAIN. WHEN PROBLEM GETS EXTREMELY BAD, I USUALLY PULL OVER SOMEWHERE AND TAKE OFF THE "NEGATIVE" BATTERY CABLE FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS USING A WRENCH I MUST CARRY IN THE VEHICLE, FORCING THE CONTROL MODULE OF THE VEHICLE TO RESET. THIS TEMPORARILY FIXES THE PROBLEM FOR AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE CHEVY DEALER AND THEY CLAIMED THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING NOR HAVE THEY EVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR STATIONERY. THIS PROBLEM ALSO OCCURS ON EXPRESSWAYS OR CITY STREETS. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURED IN MULTIPLE STATES(NORTH CAROLINA ALONG THE COAST AND IN CHICAGO AREA. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS . THE LAST TIME WAS ON SEPT. 30, 2015. I DO HAVE VIDEOS THAT I CAPTURED WITH MY PHONE BUT IT DOESN'T APPEAR THAT YOUR WEBSITE CAN SUPPORT THEM.
MY NIECE GOT IN CAR AND TRIED PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPACE. RIGHT REAR WHEEL DID NOT SPIN AS IF PARKING PRAKE WAS PULLED HARD BUT THE PARKING BRAKE WASN'T ENGAGED. DASH SHOWED SERVICE STABILITY CONTROL . TRIED REVERSE WITH NO LUCK. PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL. WHEELS FREED UP BUT THE LIGHT WITH TWO SQUIGGLY ARROWS WAS STILL LIT ON DASH. DROVE AROUND BLOCK AND ALL REVERTED TO BEING FINE. AM VERY CONCERNED SEEING THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL COMPUTER SYSTEM ON CHEVY CRUZE BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I GUESS I WILL BE CALLING AN ATTORNEY.
MY WIFE PULLED INTO MY DAUGHTER'S DRIVEWAY TOOK HER FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND WAS GOING TO PUT HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATED AND RAN INTO MY DAUGHTER'S SUV, MY WIFE PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND WENT TO STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL BUT SHE COULD NOT FEEL IT, SHE LOOK DOWN AND FOUND THE GAS PEDAL AND ABOUT 4 INCHES OF THE STEM ON THE FLOOR COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF
AFTER MY PURCHASE OF A BRAND NEW CHEVY CRUZE LS I DID NOTICE THAT IT WAS NOT SHIFTING GOOD.THE CAR WAS NOT SHIFTING DOWN OR UP AND WHEN SHIFTING DOWN VERY HESITANT, ALMOST LIKE THERE WERE NO BRAKES. AFTER BRINGING IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WITH THEM TELLING ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT AND SEVERAL ADJUSTMENTS TO THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, TRANSMISSION OVERHAUL AND PARTS REPLACEMENTS, I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR STILL DOES NOT WORK RIGHT AND I BELIEVE THIS ACCIDENT IS RELATED TO THIS CAR'S DRIVE TRAN AND LEADS ME TO THINK THAT THE PRODUCT SAFETY SHOULD BE RELATED TO THE NHTSA,
MY 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE STARTING IN SEPTEMBER THIS YEAR 2015 THE CAR HAD 75,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT STARTED WITH THE DASH LIGHTS, FAN, RADIO AND DISPLAY ALL RANDOMLY SHUTTING OFF AND TURNING ON. SOMETIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE STABILITRACK DISPLAY WILL COME ON AND THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME BUT USUALLY WHEN THE CAR IS GOING SLOW OR STOPPED, I FIRST NOTICED IT WHEN APPLYING THE BREAKS. THIS HOWEVER IS NOT THE EXTENT OF IT AS NOW WHEN I SHUT THE CAR OFF IT HAS KEPT MY KEYS AND WOULD NOT START EITHER. EVENTUALLY WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED FORTUNATELY IT CAME BACK TO LIFE AND DISPLAYED A THEFT PROTECTION DISPLAY. I CALLED THE LOCAL GM DEALER WHO SERVICES MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM HOWEVER WHEN I GO ONLINE THERE ARE DOZENS IF NOT HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS RELATED DIRECTLY TO THESE TYPE OF ISSUES WITH THE CHEVROLET CRUZE. I ALSO POSTED A COMPLAINT ON A CAR WEBSITE TO TRY TO HELP COMMUNICATE THIS ISSUE WITH OTHER CHEVROLET CRUZE OWNERS WHO HAVE THE SAME OR SIMILAR ISSUES.

THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. FOR THE WHOLE MONTH THE RED WARNING LIGHTS HAVE BEEN FLASHING, TODAY THE LIGHTS WERE DIMMING AND RADIO WAS GOING ON AND OFF. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED ON ITS OWN AND THE KEY WOULDN'T COME OUT WHEN TRIED TO REMOVE AND THE TRUCK WOULDN'T POP UP WHEN TRIED TO OPEN IT FROM THE OUTSIDE. VEHICLE IS NOT CRANKING AT MOMENT AND KEY IS STILL IN IGNITION. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM OR ISSUE. ELECTRICAL PROBLEM HAZARD THAT COULD KILL ANY DRIVER OR PASSENGERS WHEN DRIVING. HAS TO BE AS MAJOR SAFETY RECALL. CONTACT THE OWNER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AT [XXX] THIS IS MY DAUGHTER [XXX] CELL NUMBER AND I AM HER DAD [XXX] AT [XXX]. PLEASE IS THERE A RECALL ON VEHICLE? THE ACCELERATION TAKES A LOT TO GO FROM 0-30 MPH AND WHEN IT DOES THE CAR FEELS AS THOUGH IT WILL STALL. VEHICLE IS SERVICED REGULARLY. THIS SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN THE DEFROST OR AIR IS ON. THE GAS PEDAL NEEDS TO BE ALMOST TO THE FLOOR FOR IT TO EVEN PICK UP AND WHEN IT DOES ACCELERATE IT JUMPS BETWEEN THE GEARS AND THE RPM REEVES UP AND THE VEHICLE IS SLOW TO MOVE.THE ENGINE FAN ALSO RUNS FOR 30 SECS, SHUTS OFF, 1-2 MINS LATER RUNS FOR 30 SECS AND SHUTS OFF. HAVE HAD ENGINE TEMP CHECKED AND NO ISSUES WITH THE CAR OVERHEATING BUT UNKNOWN WHY THE FAN RUNS ON HIGH ALL THE TIME AND IT TAKES AWAY THE POWER TO THE CAR.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND SHIFTING INTO REVERSE, THE VEHICLE DRIFTED AND ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND CRASHED INTO THE GARAGE AND THE TOOLSHED FROM THEIR RESIDENCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS ONE INJURY REPORTED THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23,300.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE ACCELERATION TAKES ALOT TO GO FROM 0-30 MPH AND WHEN IT DOES THE CAR FEELS AS THOUGH IT WILL STALL. THERE IS A HALF TANK OF GAS, AND NO INDICATION IT SHOULD BE DOING THIS. OIL IS CHANGED REGULARLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES BEFORE THIS INCIDENT OF TODAY. THE GAS PEDAL NEEDS TO BE ALMOST TO THE FLOOR FOR IT TO EVEN PICK UP AND WHEN IT DOES ACCELERATE IT JUMPS BETWEEN THE GEARS AND THE RPM GOES BEYOND 4-5 TO GET IT TO EVEN 20MPH. I DID HAVE AN INCIDENT WHEN THE CAR STALLED AS I WAS IN REVERSE. THAT HAPPENED AT AROUND 30-35K MILES. I DECIDED TO GOOGLE THE ACCELERATION ISSUE AND SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. MY CAR ITSELF HAS HAD 3 RECALLS FIXED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING AT A COMPLETE STOP AND UPON PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT APPLIED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT IT SUDDENLY FRACTURED. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO SLIGHTLY BUMP INTO THE REAR OF THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO REVERSE THE VEHICLE, BUT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS COMPLETELY FRACTURED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WERE AWAITING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
OVER HEATING. 3 TIMES IN 3 YEARS. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE WATER PUMP REPLACED AND THERMOMETER. MECHANIC HAS TOLD ME HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THIS ISSUE. CAR DOESN'T COOL DOWN IN IDLE. DIRECTED ME TO DEALERSHIP. 1 ST TIME OCCURRED I TOOK IT TO CLOSED SHOP. DEALERSHIP SAID IT'S NOT COVERED CAUSE THEY DIDN'T DO THE WORK. IT WASN'T LIKE I COULD GET IT TO THEM THE CAR WAS SHUTTING DOWN. NEXT TIME I GOT IT BACK TO SAME MECHANIC AS IT WAS STILL WARRANTY. THIS TIME THEY REPLACED SAME ITEMS NO CHARGE SAID TAKE IT TO DEALER THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSE IS. I KNOW OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAD A CHEVY CRUZ WITH SAME ISSUES AND THEY TRADED IT IN. THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE CAR. THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS OCCURRED IN THE 80S NOT THE 2000S
THE MAIN CONSOLE IN THE CAR STARTING TURNING ON AND OFF, THE LIGHTS DOING THIS AS WELL. IT AFFECTED THE TURN SIGNALS WHEN I WAS MAKING A TURN, MAKING THEM TURN ON AND OFF AS WELL. TURNED OFF HEADLIGHTS AS WELL, WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY HOME. ONCE I GOT HOME I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT, AND THE WHOLE SYSTEM REBOOTED AND I HAD TO FIX THE DATE AND TIME. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN WHEN I USED THE AUTO-START ON THE KEY FOB, DROVE A LITTLE BIT AS THE CONSOLE KEPT TURNING ON AND OFF, PULLED OVER AND TRIED TO RESTART CAR. COULDN'T REMOVE THE KEY FROM IGNITION, EVENTUALLY GOT CAR TO RESTART AFTER TRYING TO RESTART IT FOR ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES. THE NEXT DAY THE SAME THING HAPPENED, SO I PARKED THE CAR AND TURNED IT OFF AND TRIED TO RESTART IT AGAIN. WOULDN'T START AND THE KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT OF IGNITION FOR AT LEAST FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. FINALLY GOT THE CAR TO START AND DROVE HOME. WHEN I GOT HOME, TURNED CAR OFF BUT COULD NOT GET THE KEY OUT OF IGNITION. SAT FOR ANOTHER FIFTEEN MINUTES TRYING TO GET KEY FREE. HELLO, I HAVE ISSUES WITH MY CHEVROLET CRUZE ECO ABOUT BURNING SMELL, COOLANT BURNING ISSUE SMEL. AFTER GOING THROUGH TOO MUCH BACK AND FORTH WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND GM AND THEY ARE BUSY PLAYING BLAME GAME . I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING THROUGH TOO MUCH AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BODY WHO IS WILLING TO HELP. THE DEALERSHIP HERE SAID THAT THEY PERFORMED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE THINGS AND THERE IS NO FIX. I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK. I HAVE THIS ISSUE FOR A WHILE AND ITS REALLY SAD THAT I HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH THE BURNING SMELL AND HAVE MY DAUGHTER ( 3 YEARS OLD ) SMELL. PLEASE HELP.
PURCHASED CAR NEW FOR MY DAUGHTER GOING TO COLLEGE. CAR HAS BEEN GOOD BUT SHE CALLED ME THAT SHE STARTED HER CAR IN A PARKING LOT AND SHE HAD A STABILITRAC LIGHT, POWER STEERING, AND TONES GOING OFF. SHE WAS SCARED BUT I CALLED A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SUGGESTED TO TURN OFF AND ON. SHE DID THIS AND ALL BUT STABILITRAC WENT OFF. SHE DROVE TO TAKE TO DEALER. SHE STOPPED TO GET GAS AND WHEN TURNED CAR BACK ON, ALL LIGHTS STOPPED. SHE DROVE CAR HOME AND TOOK TO LOCAL REPAIR. HE SAID HE COULD NOT FIND ISSUE. A WEEK LATER, SHE WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN. SHE VIDEO TAPED THE LIGHTS. SHE PULLED OFF AND TURNED CAR OFF AND THEN ON AND EVERYTHING WAS RESET. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT ERROR CANT BE TRACTED BUT CONTINUES TO BE ISSUE.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 60-65 MILES PER HOUR. THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE BUT IT SUDDENLY STARTED TO LOOSE SPEED AND POWER. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STALLED. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER SAFELY BUT TRAFFIC WAS FLYING BY ME AT VARYING SPEEDS FROM 50-75 MPH. THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHIN 30 SECONDS OF ME NOTICING THE LOSS OF POWER AND THE GAUGES DID NOT SHOW ANY WARNING LIGHTS OF HEATING OR EMPTY GAS TANK. I ALLOWED THE CAR TO COOL DOWN FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER POPPING THE HOOD OPEN AND THEN I ATTEMPTED TO START IT. NO LUCK. THE STARTER WAS CRANKING BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN. THE ENGINE TRIED TO TURN ON AS IF I KEPT THE KEY TURNED IN THE ON POSITION. I ALLOWED THE CAR TO COOL DOWN FOR ANOTHER 40 MINUTES (WITH THE HOOD OPEN) AS IT WAS A HOT DAY, 87F, I ATTEMPTED AGAIN AND THE SAME STARTING NOISE CAME, BUT THE CAR NEVER TURNED BACK ON. I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK AND SPEND $130 TO TAKE IT HOME. I'M GLAD THAT I WAS ALONE AND THAT IT WAS DURING THE DAY. IMAGINE IF THIS HAPPENED AT NIGHT IN A WINTER ICY ROAD WHEN I HAVE MY FAMILY WITH ME!!! WOW... THIS SITUATION SCARED ME AND NOW I'M NOT SURE IF I SHOULD USE THE CAR FOR ANYMORE FOR ROAD TRIPS WITH THE FAMILY, ITS DANGEROUS. CAR WAS RECALLED FOR REPLACEMENT OF VACUUM PIPE ASSEMBLE MICRO SWITCH,IT WAS REPLACE BUT STARTING TO HAVE PROBLEMS AGAIN. THE DEALER SAYS THEY WILL NOT REPLACE AGAIN, I AFRAID MY BRAKES WILL FAIL.

THE CLICKING UNDER MY HOOD HAS CONTINUED, THE ROTTEN EGG SMELL FROM ENGINE COMES & GOES, DASH LIGHTS GO DIM THEN GO BACK TO REGULAR. DROVE TO O'REILLYS, THEY WERE ABLE TO TELL ME I NOW HAVE A BAD ALTERNATOR AS WELL. RECALL 14801 WAS ISSUED FOR REPROGRAM ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, GETTING SERVICED THIS WEEK AT DEALERSHIP BUT COULD THIS POSSIBLY CAUSE ALL THIS?? ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING I DON'T WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRS. HELP
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. I PULLED ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE, PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER CALLING FOR ASSISTANCE I WAS TOLD I COULD DRIVE TO THE NEAREST AUTO REPAIR. I TURNED THE CAR ON AND DRIVING WAS LIKE PUSHING THE CAR DOWN THE ROAD AND STEERING WAS DANGEROUSLY DIFFICULT. I GOT TO THE REPAIR SHOP TURNED OFF THE CAR ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE. WHEN MECHANIC TURNED THE CAR ON LIGHT WAS OFF AND POWER STEERING HAD BEEN RESTORED. HE COULD NOT EXPLAIN THE GLITCH THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED I CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP.

I WAS TRYING TO PARK MY 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE CAR IN A PARKING PLACE. I TURNED INTO THE PARKING SPOT AND WHEN I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES, NOTHING HAPPENED. I LOOKED DOWN AT MY FOOT AND WATCHING MYSELF REPEATEDLY PUMP THE BRAKES. INSTEAD OF STOPPING, MY CAR WENT OVER THE PARKING SPOT YELLOW CURB, OVER A SIDEWALK AND SOME GRASS, AND I HIT A PARKED VEHICLE. BEFORE I HIT THE VEHICLE, I LUCKILY TURNED MY WHEEL, CAUSING LESS DAMAGE TO THE PARKED VEHICLE. AFTER I HIT THE VEHICLE, MY CAR TURNED BACK INTO THE PARKING LOT WHERE IT FINALLY STOPPED. I AM NOT SURE IF IT STOPPED BECAUSE OF ME REPEATEDLY PUMPING THE BRAKES, OR THAT I FINALLY RAN OUT OF MOMENTUM, SINCE I HAD NOT HIT THE ACCELERATOR SINCE BEFORE TRYING TO PARK. MY BUMPER IS DAMAGED, HAD TO HAVE CAR TOWED BECAUSE I AM TOO AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACKSEAT, IN HER BOOSTER SEAT, DURING ALL OF THIS, AND I AM AFRAID THINKING OF HOW WORSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN, WITH THE BRAKES NOT WORKING. I FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL CAR FOR THE BRAKES, AND THAT RECALL WAS BEFORE I OWNED THE CAR.
MY CHEVY CRUZE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS FROM PAST REPAIRS AND WOULD SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER, MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON THE DASH, THE CAR WOULD LOSE THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AND THE DOORS WOULD UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES YESTERDAY (6/23/15): WHILE DRIVING OVER A BUMP AT A LOW SPEED AND WHILE MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY AT ABOUT 60MPH. DURING YESTERDAY'S INCIDENT I HAD TO GO INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND PUT MY EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON AS MY CAR LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THE CAR LOST POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THE CAR WOULD GAIN POWER IMMEDIATELY AFTER. THERE HAVE BEEN TWO PRIOR INCIDENTS WHERE MY CAR HAS LOST COMPLETE POWER WHILE DRIVING, BOTH TIMES A SAFETY REPORT HAS BEEN FILED. THIS IS A VERY SCARY ISSUE AND HOPE THAT THIS DOES NOT OCCUR AGAIN.

I WAS TRAVELING APP. 60 MPH DOWN I26 WHEN MY BRAKES COMPLETELY MALFUNCTIONED. I CAME WITHIN INCHES OF HITTING A TRANSFER TRUCK DUE TO THE INABILITY TO BRAKE. I'VE SOUGHT RESOLUTION FROM CORPORATE CHEVY ALONG WITH MY LOCAL DEALER WHO SIMPLY TESTED THE BRAKES TO TELL ME THEY ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I DO NOT FEEL SALE IN THE CRUZE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V300000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,565. I RECEIVED MY CHEVY CRUZE IN NOVEMBER OF 2014 USED WITH APROX. 59K MILES. APRIL 7TH DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT 55-60MPH IT SUDDENLY STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. IT WOULD JERK AND THE ENGINE WOULD REV LIKE IF YOU WERE TO BE IDLE AND IN PARK AND PRESS THE GAS THAT'S THE SOUND IT MADE. I DID NOT NOTICE THE CHECK ENGINE COME ON OR ANY OTHER LIGHTS AS I WAS TRYING TO CONTROL MY CAR. THE SPEEDOMETER AND RPM INDICATOR STARTED ACTING ERRATICALLY WHILE DOING SO. THE GAUGE WOULD GO UP AND DOWN AND THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. THE STEERING ALSO BECAME VERY SOFT. IF I WERE TO TAKE MY PINKY FINGER AND TURN THE WHEEL IT WOULD HAVE MOVED THAT'S HOW SOFT IT WAS. ALL THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES DURING A 30 MINUTE TIME PERIOD. AFTER I SLOWED DOWN AND TRIED GOING OVER 30MPH IT WOULD START TO ACT UP AGAIN. WHILE THIS WAS HAPPENED I ONLY HAD 66K MILES. I GOT IT TOWED TO THE DEALER INSTEAD OF TAKING MY CHANCES DRIVING IT THERE. IT WAS SITTING THERE A WEEK BEFORE THEY EVEN TOUCHED IT AND THEY CLAIM THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I THINK CHEVY DEALERS CLAIM THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WHEN YOUR CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO FIX IT. *TR
