NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
Stalling when braking and then accelerating. Car sputtered while on highway and then it stopped running . The car indicated to try to put it in neutral and start again. This did not work after several tries. The car will not successfully start up.
Steering wheel vibrates and makes grinding noise when coming back from turn, it doesn't do it all the time but about every 15th turn. Taken it to the dealership 3 times and can't find anything wrong with it
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 80 MPH over three lanes of traffic, the vehicle lost motive power. The driver was able to pull over safely before the vehicle stalled. The vehicle failed to restart. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 48,472.
On [XXX], while driving at 10mph in my subdivision, the 2022 Equinox simply died and would not restart. It was towed to Gillman Chevrolet in Harlingen, Texas where it remains today. According to reliable online information, the FUEL PUMP DRIVER CONTROL MODULE failed. I will authorize inspection at the dealership. I shutter to think what could have happened had the module failed five minutes later at 75 mph. God was with me. The problem has been confirmed by the service dept at Gillman Chevrolet. The vehicle or component has only been inspected by the service department there, although according to the Service Tech, they are in communication with GM about the issue. There were NO warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Driving on the highway at 65 mph when engine stalked and died. Engine light came on trying to get the vehicle to the right shoulder lane with a hard time braking with engine off and steering problem also. Engine dx code P129F from O'Reilly auto parts store. They told me of the complaints with the fuel pump driver Control Module a alot lower mileage vehicles. Bought the fuel pump module at Fiesta Chevrolet and it's running great for now.
My parents are elderly [XXX] ). While driving on [XXX] the engine just stalled without any warning. No warning lights or anything. After many trys, was able to restart the vehicle and it sputtered to edge of the road (emergency lane) and shut off again. After that, vehicle would not start again. Towed vehicle 27 miles to Uvalde TX. Dealership confirmed Fuel Module. Warranty was expired by 2 days. Cost quoted at $650. Currently working to get extended warranty to cover the repairs. Called 911 and Medina County / Uvalde Sheriff dept responded to get them to safety. Stalled approx .2 miles west of [XXX] west of D'hanis, TX. Between D'hanis and Sabinal. Ever so often my check engine will pop on and everything will go haywire. The park assist will cut on and off periodically as well as the automatic high beams and also the infotainment system will connect to my phone and randomly make phone calls at any time. I'm usually alerted of this malfunction when I start the vehicle. Also, the auto stop/start will be active but will continue running when brake is applied. And the final issue is one of the majors, my automatic remote start only works periodically. I'll use this feature from my window which is about 55 ft from my car and the lights will come on but when I get to my car it's not running and everything is off. There is definitely an electrical issue in the vehicle. I have only had the vehicle 3 months and the issue persist more and more frequently. I have informed the dealership and they seem to can't find any issues which is beyond me but they just keep getting worse. I need some sort of help on this matter.
While driving at interstate speed the car slowed and presented a 'engine decelerating' light on instrument cluster. We were barely able to get off the interstate without getting hit. Car coasted to a stop and died. Half tank of gas and no recent work other than oil change 6000miles prior. Had it towed to dealership where they found the fuel pump module had died. Same as recall no: 23V013000. However, our VIN is not included in that recall. Dealer repaired at no charge.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced a loss of automotive power. The contact's wife managed to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway where the vehicle would not restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that fuel was not getting to the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,472.
Employee was driving on a state road in the right hand lane going about 45 mph. Short of a red light and a right hand turn lane, the engine began to rumble and promptly shut off. Employee attempted to restart the vehicle, but to no avail. Traffic began piling up and the employee could not remove the vehicle from the road. This was an incredibly dangerous and life threatening situation. Vehicle ended up having to get towed to the dealership Per the repair order detail attached, the technicians found that it was a fuel pump issue; found in 3 other of our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles (4 total). This is a major concern.
I recently paid 2100 for my engine to be repaired because it was burning too much gas now. It never had a check engine light on now it won’t go off. My car smells like gas and stalls a lot.
Car shut off going through busy intersection.
Vehicle stalled and stop running while accelerating at a busy intersection and created a hazardous situation in traffic. Had to push the car off the road. Car would not start again so called for a tow. The Equinox was taken to a nearby Chevrolet dealership. I ran a tester on it and the error code was P129F, Fuel Pump Driver Control Module, Fuel Pump Speed Signal Incorrect. In doing a search, I discovered there was a recall for 2022 Equinox for this issue however I never received a notice for my 2022 Equinox. This put me in danger as well as two of my children who were riding with me. I'm extremely dissappointed and alarmed that Chevy did not send a letter with the recall. The dealership apparently repaired it under warranty and not under a recall which is disturbing to me since they may be "under-reporting" this problem.
Vehicle stalled and stopped running while turning at a busy road and created a hazardous situation in traffic. I had to have a mandatory tow off the road to my residence. I called the dealership, and car would not start again so called for a tow (which was covered by GM). The Equinox was taken to a nearby Chevrolet dealership. The second tow and repair were covered by GM under Warranty as I had less than 7000 miles on my SUV. Per the documentation provided by the Chevrolet dealership, the Fuel Pump Driver Control Module had to be replaced in my 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. On doing a search on NHTSA, I discovered there was a recall for 2022 Equinox for this issue however it did not apply to my particular VIN. Overall, this incident, in my opinion put me in danger as well as the public who were commuting home and had to avoid my stalled car.
The fuel pump module failed as I was driving 65 mph on the interstate. Thankfully, I was able to pull over without an incident. My safety was at risk stopping suddenly at this rate of speed and I was thankful I was in the right hand lane and able to pull off the road. After waiting an hour, my car was towed to the dealer and the fuel pump module has been replaced. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms prior to this failure. My car was covered under the warranty and I have contacted GM and filed a complaint regarding this situation as my car only has 9,000 miles on it.
On July 20, 2024 I was leaving a stop sign to pull onto the highway. When I tried to accelerate, my car would not move. The engine attempted to get power, but it would not go. After a few minutes, the car would move but I could not get up to speed as quick as usual. A few days later, I was driving about 30 mph through town, and felt what I thought was my transmission slip, causing me to lose power/speed. On July 24th, I contacted my local GM dealer, and got the car in to get it fix. They told me it was a turbo valve, and changed it. There was no engine lights or clear evidence of what was wrong with my car, but they said that the issue had been fixed by the turbo valve change. I had my car back August 5th. On August 9th, I was going uphill on a highway, and my car lost power again, causing me to lose speed and power. I called the car dealership that worked on my car and told them that it was not fixed. My car did produce a check engine light this time, and I relayed that to the mechanics, and they said that they would look into it. I took it into the dealership that day, and they have been working on it since. The dealership has been in contact with GM, but no progress has been made. It has been in the shop since August 9th, it is currently September 18 and they are not fixing the problem. They say that because there is no engine lights/messages on the dash, that they are unsure of what is going on and how to fix it.
Employee started vehicle, backed out of the parking space, drove 4 - 6 feet and the engine died. Employee was able to coast back into another parking space safely. Attempted to restart the vehicle, engine would not start. Support Services within the organization was informed and was able to get the vehicle to the dealership for inspection. Per the repair order detail attached, the technicians found that it was a fuel pump issue; found in 3 other of our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles (4 total). This is a major concern. Luckily the vehicle malfunctioned while still in the parking lot. Could have been a major life threatening situation if the employee was on the road.
While driving along the road the engine suddenly, without warning shut down. My wife and I were left stranded in the travel lane of the road. The fuel tank had about 3/4 of a tank of gas in it. The engine would not start. When the engine quit, we did not have any control of the steering and we just coast to a stop. We were moving at about 25 to 30 miles an hour on a twisting, hilly road when the engine quit. We were left stranded in a very dangerous curve on a hill. Visibility for oncoming traffic is hampered by the curves and the hill, a dangerous stretch of road. The vehicle was taken to Central Chevrolet via flatbed. The fuel pump module was replaced, and I got my car back the next day. My wife was a nervous wreck. Our Equinox was just over two years old with only 7634 miles on it. To have the engine quit is one thing but to not have control of the steering afterwards or even get into neutral to get it off the road is dangerous to say the least. Central Chevrolet did an excellent job repairing the vehicle and getting it back to me quickly. My concern is will this happen again and if it did happen on the highway, it could be disastrous and possibly deadly.
After going very slow, mostly stopped, in stop-and-go traffic for 2 hours, my Chevy Equinox suddenly started to shake and would not respond. The car/engine was on and in Drive but the gas petal would not propel the car forward. My steering wheel locked and I could not turn it in any way. The Engine Light came on and a message came on the dash that said "Push Brake to Start Engine" but pushing the brake did not change anything, and the engine had never turned off. I tried to turn the car off by mashing the brake and pushing the engine stop button but my car would not turn off. I rolled backward into the car behind me as could not go forward and traffic had to be routed around me. About 20 minutes later, I tried to turn my car off and it did cut off completely. About 30 minutes later a police officer was able to turn my car on, put it in neutral, and roll it to the side of the road. The check engine light was still on. My car was towed 200 miles back home and I was able to drive it off the tow truck and into our driveway but the engine light was still on. The next day, the car turned on and the engine light was not on. I did not feel safe to drive it so we had it towed to the Carmax where we purchased it. Carmax towed it to a local chevy dealership and they said it was the fuel nodule. It is currently awaiting those repairs.
I purchased the vehicle new . When I took it in for a factory recall there was damages to the vehicle and dealer blamed me for it. I purchased it brand new. The dealer has gone out of business and GM and the new dealer will not take care of the factory recall since the damages were done by original dealer that sold it. My air conditioner went out as well and they did fix that. But still not able to fix the hidden damages on the vehicle I purchased new. They want to charge me to fix the damages before they fix the factory recall. I would have never know of the damages if there was no factory recall. Please help. I have been getting the run around since February and the lemon law or anyone will help me.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 60 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle continued to drive causing the contact to crash into the vehicle in front. The entire front of the vehicle was damaged. The contact stated that the vehicle was still in motion after the crash, he had to jump out of the vehicle and manually steer the vehicle to the side of the road where it finally came to a stop. All the air bags in the vehicle deployed. The contact mentioned the automatic braking system failed to independently stop the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact's wife who was driving sustained air bag and seat belt bruising but no medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the impound lot. The insurance company had not inspected the vehicle as of yet. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.
Press on the gas and car doesn’t move. Seems to not get gas sometimes while driving
My 2022 Equinox stopped unexpectedly while in traffic. I could not restart the engine. It was towed to the dealer who told me that there were no recalls on this car. I confirmed this by entering the VIN in your data base. However, when I put in 2022 Equinox. it shows multiple recalls including one for a fuel pump defect (exactly my problem). I don't understand these conflicting reports. It appears I should have gotten multiple recall notices. Can you please explain the disparity?
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while his wife was operating the vehicle in a parking area, while the vehicle was in park, and with the engine idling, the engine suddenly stalled. After which, the vehicle failed to immediately restart; however, upon pumping the accelerator pedal, it was able to restart. After restarting the vehicle, it returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the fuel pump. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 28,000.
My 2022 Chevrolet Equinox lost power on two different occasions. The first time I was driving at 45 mph and the car stalled to a stop and would not restart and had to be towed. It had 816 miles on it. The repair sheet stated that it was a fuel pump control module internal fault. The fuel pump control module was replaced. At 8,401miles, the car did the same, but I was on a four-lane highway driving 65mph with the cruise control on and it lost power, stalled and I coasted to a stop and it would not re-start. After being stranded on the side of the highway for almost 2 hours, it was towed. This time the repair stated that it was due to an internal short in the driver. I was fortunate that I was not in heavy traffic or someone would have crashed into me. There were no warnings until the power cut out and the display indicated "low engine power". This is extremely dangerous and I am afraid it will happen again and I may not be in an area where I can navigate to the side of the road. This defect in the fuel system is a danger to me and other drivers. I contacted Chevrolet Customer Service but was told they can only be of assistance after the problem occurs 3 times. Even though the dealer said the problem was not the same problem, it was a problem with the fuel system.
My SUV started stalling a few days ago, but it was only for a short time. Now, it's getting worse, and the engine warning light has turned on. When I try to accelerate by putting gas, it's very slow. I'm worried it could cause an accident. Even when I try to turn, it moves very slowly, which could lead to an accident, and I have two kids. I just bought this SUV last month, and it only has 12,700 miles on it. See the picture here for proof. It's especially dangerous when I try to drive, and it moves slowly, which could cause an accident.
My car has stalled and left me stranded twice now. In June a new Fuel pump control module was put in around 6/3/23 at 6152 miles and Feb 5 at 9064 miles, new FPCM was installed. GM insists there is no recall on my 2022 Equinox, yet this car has had the exact same issue as Recall: 23V013000, twice now. I am very concerned for the Safety of a car that will stop running while you are driving. When this part stops working the car stops running and will not start and leaves you stranded wherever you are. No lights/no warnings it just stops running. I was stranded in the middle of an eight lane busy road in Daytona, FL when my car stopped running. I had just come off the interstate, as I exited to the off ramp and came to a slower speed 30-40 MPH the car started sputtering and shaking before I made the right turn off the ramp. It sputtered about 2/3 blocks and it stalled. Once it started sputtering and shaking I had no power, giving it gas did nothing to increase the engine speed or speed up the car. I was left stranded until 3 guys pushed my car about 2 blocks to safety. My car also stalled in Orlando in June, at a stop sign, it would not start. We had to be out in the road flagging people to go around my car. These are the codes and fix each time. ECM - Engine System P129F The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. I was at a red light and my car has the auto start/stop when your on the breaks for a bit. Light turned green and my car break pedal locked, all the gear lights started flashing. Car then stalled when turning on and off. I was in the VERY busy intersection and lucky no one plowed into me as I was trapped in the middle lane.
We purchased this used 2022 Equinox on [XXX] from Hatfield Buick / GMC in Redlands. It is still under factory warranty with mileage currently at 17,700. In mid January 2024, the vehicle was difficult starting. After it started, I drove directly to the dealer in Redlands. They kept the car for nearly two weeks before they identified the electrical problem was in the factory radio mechanism. At that time, I was told there was a supply chain issue obtaining a replacement radio from the GM FACTORY and there was no eta. I told the service advisor I NEEDED MY CAR. He suggest they pull the fuse controlling the radio until the replacement radio was received. That way I could take the car home and regain use. The only problem with this temporary fix was it affected many inside the cabin functions, most directly all sounds of turn signals, etc were silent, the back up camera no longer functioned and mostly all these disabled functions made the use of the car DANGEROUS. On March 13th I sent the general manager and service tech an email asking the status to our problem. As of today, Sunday, March 17 no word from that dealership. I need your help resolving this problem or authorize that dealer to provide a temporary replacement and keep our vehicle until the necessary part to resolve is complete. Parked car and got out was bumped by car as it shifted to reverse by it self knocked me down and dragged me about 80 feet I let go as I seen it heading for tree it hit the tree stopping and damaging front door which was open. Repaired at local dealer which said they checked it and said they could not find any reason the same thing happened one year ago.talked to another person who said he had same thing happen.no I am afraid to drive it car has only 10000 miles am very afraid for family’s safety was not injured but I very well could have been.
Was in park and the engine off. The car rode backwards with my wife in the car with 1 foot still on the car, and 1 foot on my driveway, the car drove backwards, dragged my wife about 15 feet the door crushed her ribs break five of them, and she has many soft tissue injuries and the left front wheel ran over both of her shins on her legs.
Employee was driving across the county to their office when the check engine light and all 4 tire pressure lights came on. She was able to make it back to the office where she informed the Support Services department of the organization. A Support Services employee was able to come out and drive the vehicle to the dealership for an inspection. The tech informed our employee that it was very good that we brought the vehicle in when we did and were lucky the engine did not die while an employee was driving. Per the repair order detail attached, the technicians found that it was a fuel pump issue; found in 3 other of our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles (4 total). In this instance, the vehicle did not shut off while driving. Considering two of our other vehicles shut off and created a highly dangerous situation for the driver and other drivers around them, we are lucky no one was injured. This is a major concern.
Employee was driving on a state road, about 55-60 miles per hour. They received an error message and a check engine light appeared. Immediately thereafter, the engine "died" and the vehicle began to decelerate. They were forced to pull off onto the grass on the side of the road. The power remained functional, but the engine wouldn't work. Support Services team within the organization was informed and was able to restart the engine after a few tries, eventually driving the vehicle directly to the dealership to be looked at. Employee felt unsafe due to the engine "shutting off" while on a high MPH state road and having to pull off on the side of that road (a two lane state road). Potential life threatening hazard for the driver and other drivers around. Per the repair order detail attached, the technicians found that it was a fuel pump issue; found in 3 other of our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles (4 total). This is a major concern.
When I would start my car in the morning, it would stall/sputter and make clanking noises. The check engine light came on, and I took it to the dealership for repair. They replaced a fuel injector and then the next day I had the same issue and took it back to the dealership. They replaced another fuel injector and when I got it home and tried to start it a few days later, the same issue persisted. I took it back to the dealership and asked they keep it a few days to test their repairs and they’ve had the car almost 4 months now. They don’t know what the issue is. They’ve brought in engineers from GM and still can’t identify the issue.
Air charged cooler/ engine issues. I have a 2022 Chevy Equinox- purchased new in April 2022. When driving in heavy rain / humidity for length of time - I experience the car feeling like it is going to stall- not accelerating when pushing on the gas and jerking. Some times the engine light flashes when this occurs. Per the dealer it is due to an engine misfire - that is what the code shows. When this happens while I am driving (usually on the highway) I am terrified that I will be rear ended by another vehicle due to it slowing down - and the cars behind me have no warning/ brake lights alerting them that I am slowing down and not accelerating. From Sept 2022 to now, I have had the air charged cooler changed by the dealer twice - another time the dealer was not able to duplicate the same issue. November 2023-I had it to the dealer for the 4th time for the same issue- the solution per GM Bulletin [XXX] was to install a grill cover, which they have done. The problem with the grill cover is that I am responsible to install it and remove it depending on the weather/ temperature . Per the bulletin it needs to be on when raining - but removed if it is 85 degrees or higher and there is no clarification on what I should do if it is both raining and 85 outside. I do not know how this is safe for me to be having to stop the car and install or remove a part depending on the weather. I do not feel it is safe for me to have to stop or pull over on the side of the road / rest area or anywhere else to have to install or remove this. I am a single female [XXX] and am not comfortable with installing and removing this. The dealer did a one time courtesy demonstration of the installation and told me it is my responsibility to install or remove it from here on - depending on the temperature and weather. I drive 2 1/2 to 3 hours to work- leaving in the dark and returning in the dark. I feel my safety is at risk with the fix GM has given me. 1.The airbags did not deploy, possibly missing. 2. I suffered injury and crashed into a building. I was hit. 3. Vehicle was inspected by the Hertz Rental Car. 4. Do not remember any messages.
While driving on a four lane highway during rush hour my gas peddle stopped working. I drifted to the side of the road, with cars blowing their horns at me. My car was like frozen! AAA came after 45 mins to tow me to the dealership. We were told, Yup its the fuel pump, we currently have 3 other vehicles with the same problem. It's probably going to take at least a week to fix. No, they do not provide loaner car. Update: Dealership informed us that there's no time limit insight to fix our vehicle. The fuel pump is on back order and there are thousands of cars countrywide awaiting for the part.
9/15/2023, noticed a hesitation in the acceleration of the vehicle, when attempting to proceed after a full stop. Purchased the vehicle from CARMAX in Las Vegas, 8/25/2023. Recall Sheets were provided, however - I have been "unable to "REGISTER" the vehicle (in my name) to NHTSA website. When, "remedy" to the RECALLS are available, ???? How will "I" be "notified" to take the car to a Dealership ???
Was approaching intersection for a left hand turn and just before getting to red light engine stalled. Tried at least 6 times to restart but would not. Was 2nd in line at a major intersection so after no luck restarting I called for road side assistance. The police came to direct traffic and then decided best to push me to the gas station next to intersection. While waiting for tow truck I tried starting vehicle about a half hour later and it started. After sitting there waiting for tow it stalled again and would not start. About an hour later tow truck came and at that time it restarted for him to load on to tow truck. The car is waiting for service but its the weekend and will need to wait for Dealership to call when ready.
on 08-31-2023 left house and got about 1 mile down the road going about 45 mph and had loss of power and engine stalled. Pulled over and tried to restart engine but would not start, engine light was on. Called dealership and said to have it towed in. 2 days later dealer called and said it was ready and it was a fuel module issue. When picking the car up the service guy said they reprogrammed it. Asked if I had to sign anything and he replied no, so no paperwork was given.
The car was parked, started up to pull out of the parking space, preceded to back up. The car moved a couple of inches out of the parking space. The car position was half in the parking space and half way in traffic. Then the car locked up with lights appeared on the dashboard, engine light comes on, ESC and car with wiggly lines. The car would not move forward, reversed, nor could I cut off the engine. Was afraid to take foot off brakes since the car would not cut off engine. Call the tow truck and it was towed to the dealer with engine running and lights still on. Dealer said they have not seen this before. After researching ESC lights on Equinox, complaints and concerns has been reported since 2018 on Equinox models. We did not have any problems prior to this nor any warning signs. Brought the car new 2022 Equinox, and this happen with 10, 385 miles on the car. The car never been in an accident. Danger and safety was the car was stuck in the middle of the street and partial in the parking space, making it dangerous for continued traffic and potential accident. The dealer still has the car.
While diving down a busy highway, the vehicle's check engine light came on with no notice and my daughter lost acceleration and then the vehicle "died" while driving on this busy highway. The steering locked up. She had a hard time getting it to the side of the road. It was a very dangerous situation. If this would have happened a couple days later while driving on the interstate, it could have been deadly and caused a major accident. The vehicle would not start back up and had to be towed. It's already had a fuel pump issue when we first bought it and had that replaced. Now, it's back in the shop and who knows for how long. I bought my daugheter a new vehicle so that we wouldn't have to worry about her being on the side of the road and now I do NOT trust this vehicle as I am seeing this is an ongoing issue with this vehicle. Again, we are lucky that this did not cause and accident and injury or death to others.......
Fuel module failed and had to be replaced.
car has been in shop for replacement of fuel module 4 times. Now was in shop again with failed fuel pump at 9k miles. had loss of power at 70mph on freeway and could have been rear ended. if the fuel loss happens during a left turn could result in a collision. have already reported the first four failures. adding this number 5

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while idled at a traffic light, the vehicle stalled and failed to restart. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle remained at the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
08/22 car with 3800 miles died slowly while driving. Fuel pump replaced. 06/23 with 11,700 miles died slowly while crossing major highway at peak travel time. Fuel pump failed again. Crash / fatality risk.
I slammed on the brakes to avoid an accident and the seatbelt did not catch me. The accident did occur and made my jaw and chin area hit the steering wheel and airbag.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox.
