MY CHECK ENGINE, POWER STEERING, SERVICE ESC, ESC OFF, BRAKE SYSTEM (!), ABS SYSTEM LIGHTS ALL FLASH, AND ALL OF MY GAUGES FLUCTUATE SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS OCCURRING, AND I HAVE HAD MY CONTROL COMPUTER NODULE REPLACED, AS WELL AS MY POWER STEERING MODULE REPLACED AT LYNCH CHEVROLET IN KENOSHA, WI. WHILE DRIVING MY CAR SHIFTS/JERKS, AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO CRASH. WHEN I COME TO A STOP AT A LIGHT OR SIGN, MY CAR DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE, CAUSING ME TO BE IN AN INTERSECTION FOR LONGER THAN NORMAL BECAUSE MY CAR WON'T TAKE OFF. THE VEHICLE ALSO JERKS INTO DIFFERENT GEARS WHILE ALL OF THESE SERVICE LIGHTS ARE FLASHING. THIS FEELS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, AND THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE RESOLVED. IT STARTED IN JANUARY AND IS CONTINUING TO HAPPEN DESPITE REPLACING PARTS.
MY BREAK LIGHTS ARE REVERSED OR JUST DON'T WORK SOMETIMES. ALSO MY ESC AND POWER STEERING LIGHTS KEEP COMING ON AND MY POWER STEERING GOES OUT EVERY 10-15 MILES CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO TRY AND PULL OFF THE ROAD TO RESTART MY CAR AND RESET IT. AFTER HAVING ALMOST BEEN IN 12 ACCIDENTS DUE TO THIS PROCESS AND READING UP ON SEVERAL OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES I BELIEVE IN FULL THIS NEEDS LOOKED INTO.
POWER STEERING FAILURE AT 80K MILES. MANY,MANY POSTS ON MALIBUS WITH SIMILAR MODULE FAILURE, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HIT A POLE. I DROPPED MY 2010 MALIBU ([XXX]) OFF AT MATICK CHEVY ON 1/10/2020. I CALLED 1/11/2020 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO CHARGE AND IT WAS READY FOR PICK UP. THAT'S ALL I WAS TOLD. I DIDN'T MAKE IT HOME BEFORE THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED: SERVICE TRACTION ERROR LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD AND ALL 3 BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON - WHEN NO ONE IS PRESSING ON THE BRAKE. THE CAR IS IN THE GARAGE AND ALL 3 BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON - NO ONE IS IN THE VEHICLE...I'M DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND ALL 3 BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON - I'M NOT BRAKING. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. TODAY IS 1/19/2020 AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY VEHICLE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL - DESPITE LEAVING A MESSAGE FOR THE SERVICE [XXX], ON 1/16/19. HE ADVISED THAT THIS VEHICLE IS COVERED UNDER A SPECIAL WARRANTY PROGRAM OR POLICY - 150,000 MILES OR THE YEAR 2025?. THE VEHICLE IS 10 YEARS OLD - DEALERSHIPS DON'T FIX ANYTHING FOR FREE, SO THAT "SPECIAL PROGRAM" IS INDICATIVE OF THE COMPANY TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE OWNED GM PRODUCTS ALL MY LIFE AND FOR THE FIRST TIME DO NOT KNOW IF MY LOYALTY TO THE MANUFACTURER OR BRAND WILL CONTINUE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN HANDLED. FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS I HAVE BEEN STARTING MY CAR AND RECEIVING A MESSAGE SAYING POWER STEERING ESC WE CHECKED THE FLUIDS AND THEIR WAS POWER STEERING FLUID IN THE CAR SO I STARTED IT AGAIN AND GOT THE SAME MESSAGE. I WOULD HAVE TO START IT AT LEAST 4 OR 5 TIMES FOR MY CAR TO RESET AND SO I CAN DRIVE IT. I'VE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING I LOST CONTROL OF MY POWER STEERING ON A MAIN HIGHWAY AND MY CAR CUT COMPLETELY OFF . I COULD OF BEEN DIES AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS I CONTACTED THE GM DEALERSHIP AND THEY SPOKE TO ME AS IF IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL WHICH I FEEL THIS IS A VERY DEAL CONSIDERING MY DAUGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN I. THE CAR WITH ME. I SEE ALL THE RECALLS FOR THE SAME THING HAPPENING BUT THEY PULLED UP MINE AND SAID THEIR IS NO RECALL FOR MY CAR . IT MAKES NO SINCE AND I NEED ANSWERS
TWO DAYS AGO, I NOTICED THAT MY STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE WHEN I WOULD STOP AT A LIGHT OR SOMETHING BUT I COULD STILL DRIVE. THAT SAME NIGHT, I TURNED ON MY CAR TO LEAVE A PARKING LOT WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. IT WOULD NOT BUDGE. I NOTICED THAT IT SAID MY ESC SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE CHECKED. I TURNED MY CAR ON AND OFF 5 TIMES TO SEE IF IT WOULD MOVE AND IT DID NOT. ON THE 6TH TRY, THE WHEEL MOVED AND I TOOK THE CHANCE TO DRIVE MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. AFTER 2 DAYS OF WORKING ON MY CAR, THEY DETERMINED THAT SENSOR WENT BAD. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE, I SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS. I COMMUTE 2 HOURS ROUND TRIP EACH DAY ON THE INTERSTATE AND I AM SO THANKFUL THAT THIS HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT.
DRIVING AND POWER STEERING ICON AND ALERT COMES ON WITH TOTAL LOSS OF POWER STEERING. AS WITH OTHERS COMPLAINTS THIS IS VERY SCARY WHEN DRIVING AND HARD TO STEER. THIS IS A RISK AND HAZARD TO THOSE DRIVING AND THEIR PASSENGERS. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING DONE OR LAWSUITS WILL BE FILED AS THIS IS A REPETITIVE ISSUE IN THESE VEHICLES. RECALL!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS CHEVY.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT. THE BULBS ARE NOT BURNING OUT. IT'S SOMETHING IN THE ELECRICAL THAT'S CAUSING THIS. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT BECAUSE BOTH HEADLIGHTS HAVE GONE OFF ALL OF A SUDDEN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I BELIEVE THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN & CHEVY NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON & HAVE A FIX FOR IT. AFTER READING ON A BUNCH OF FORUMS, THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. AFTER GETTING THE BULBS TO WORK, THEY ONLY WORK FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS THEN GO OUT AGAIN. THIS QUESTIONNAIRE WANTS ME TO PUT IN A DATE THAT THIS HAPPENED BUT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS, SO I'LL JUST PUT IN THE MOST RECENT DATE.
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. IF I MOVE PASSENGER SEAT SOMETIMES IT GOES OFF. 37,000 MILES.
I HAVE A 2010 CHEVY MALIBU AND THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT. NOT BURNING OUT, BUT QUITS WORKING! I CHANGED THE BULB ABOUT 5 TIMES BEFORE I REALIZED THAT IT WASN'T BURNING OUT. ALL THE OTHER LIGHTS ON THAT SIDE WORK FINE. A FEW TIMES I COULD TAP ON THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND IT WOULD COME BACK ON. I TOOK IT APART AND FOUND THAT THE PLASTIC CONNECTOR WAS BROKEN AND SHORTED OUT, SO I ORDERED A NEW WIRING HARNESS THAT GOES FROM THE GROUND WIRE SPLIT TO THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, PUT IT TOGETHER AND IT WORKED FINE FOR 2 DAYS AND WENT OUT AGAIN. I TOOK THE FRONT END OFF AGIAN AND UNPLUGGED THE BULB AND PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND IT WORKS FINE AGAIN. I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE WIRES AND THE GROUND SCREW AND CAN'T FIND A PROBLEM. THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. I HAVE ALSO LOOKED THIS UP AND A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS FROM 2009-2012 CHEVY MALIBU.
THE STEERING WHEEL TWITCHES EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT MOVING. A POWER STEERING ERROR MESSAGE COMES ACROSS THE DISPLAY RANDOMLY ON CERTAIN INSTANCES OF STARTING THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE MESSAGE DISPLAYS, THE POWER STEERING FAILS ALTOGETHER. TURNING THE CAR OFF AND STARTING IT AGAIN RE-ESTABLISHES THE POWER STEERING, HOWEVER THE TWITCHING OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTINUES. MALIBUS OF SIMILAR YEARS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.
WHENEVER THE CAR STARTS, THE SERVICE ESC LIGHTS COME ON AND STAY ON. STEERING WHEEL IS VERY HARD TO TURN AND WON'T TURN UNLESS THE CAR IS IN MOTION THUS CAUSING ME TO WRESTLE WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TO MAKE A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. EVERY MECHANIC I'VE SEEN TOLD ME TO TRADE IT IN BECAUSE THE REPAIRS ARE QUITE EXPENSIVE. THEY MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT REPLACING THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN. THEY ALSO COULDN'T SERVICE THE POWER STEERING BECAUSE IT'S STRICTLY ELECTRONIC. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR ME OR MY FAMILY BECAUSE WHO KNOWS WHEN IT WILL LOCK UP FOR GOOD WHILE I'M DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THE PAST MONTH. PLEASE HELP ME
VEHICLE WAS WORKING GREAT AS HAS ALWAYS, UNTIL OUT OF NOWHERE , IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, I LOST ALL MOVEMENT IN MY STEERING WHEEL. IT BECAME MORE THAN IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN AND I HAD TO STOP EVERY 10 SECONDS AND TURN MY CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO TRY AND GET IT HOME. I KNOW THAT MORE THAN A FAIR SHARE OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAVING THE EXACT PROBLEM. SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING. I KNOW THAT THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL, BUT ITS NOT SHOWING MY VEHICLE HAS ANY CURRENT RECALLS, THOUGH THERE WAS ONE FOR THE POWER ASSISTED MOTOR THAT IS STILL OPEN FROM WHAT I CAN SEE. I HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN CAER OF MY VEHICLE AND NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN, AM I CORRECT WITH TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP STILL TO GET IT REPLACED FROM THE RECALL?
THE POWER STEERING CONTROL LOCKS UP THE STEERING SYSTEM. THE BRAKES PULSATES WHEN STOPPING CAUSE LOSING TRACTION. ESC CONTROL IS OFF. MAKING THE VEHICLE NOT DRIVE-ABLE.
THE STEERING LOCKS ITSELF AND THERE IS LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING. HAPPENING VERY FREQUENTLY NOW AND A WARNING LIGHT FLASHES WITH ESC SIGN. I AM SCARED I MIGHT BE AT INCREASED RISK OF ACCIDENT. IT HAPPENS 3 TO 4 TIMES WHILE WAS DRIVING AND IS HAPPENING WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY. I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART IT BUT AGAIN IT HAPPENS AFTER A FEW MINUTES.
UPON DRIVING THE CAR THE ESC LIGHT AND POWER STEERING LIGHT WILL COME ON AND CARE WILL HAVE NO POWER STEERING.STEERING WHEEL ALSO MOVES ON IT'S ON AND MAKES SOUNDS INSIDE THE COLUMN. VERY DANGEROUS FOR MY WIFE TO HAVE TO DRIVE AND DROP OFF THE KIDS AT SCHOOL.NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS OUT OF THE CAR SINCE WE PURCHASED IT 3 YEARS AGO.
PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHTS HAVE REPEATEDLY GONE OUT FOR THE 7 YRS I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR. I HAVE CHANGED THE HEADLIGHTS AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 3-4 MONTHS. I HAVE SEARCHED FORUMS/MESSAGEBOARDS RELATED TO CAR PROBLEMS AND THIS IS A WIDELY KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THE BUMPER NEEDS TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE LIGHT WHICH I CAN NOT DO MYSELF AND I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A SERVICING SHOP WHICH IS VERY EXPENSIVE. THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM KEEPS GOING OUT, EVEN AFTER REPEATEDLY REPLACING HEADLIGHT. JUST YESTERDAY, THE DRIVER SIDE WENT OUT TOO SO NO LOW BEAMS USABLE CURRENTLY. MY READING HAS BROUGHT ME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IN 2008-2012 CHEVY MALIBUS, THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ARE PULLING VOLTAGE FROM THE LOW BEAMS WHICH IS INCREASING THE AMPERAGE IN THE LOW BEAMS WHICH IS CAUSING OVERHEATING AND THEREFORE THE BULBS AND CONNECTORS TO GO OUT REPEATEDLY.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AFFECTING 2004 TO 2010 CHEVY MALIBUS. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS VEHICLE UP TO 2008 MODEL AND YET MY 2010 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE 2009 AND 2010 MODELS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL
I WOULD BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD START TO SHAKE AND THE POWER WOULD DROP TO 20 MPH. THIS WOULD HAPPEN ANYTIME, ANY WHERE. TURN VEHICLE OFF SIT. A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND WOULD BE OK TO DRIVE FOR AWHILE. IF HAPPENS NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF AREA DRIVING. HIGHWAY CITY OR EVEN PARKING LOT. CAN NOT FIND PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING. NEED IMMEDIATE HELP WITH PROBLEM. COULD CAUSE ACCIDENT AND DEATH ON A BUSY HIGHWAY OR ROADWAY.

WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET APPROACHING AN S BEND GOING DOWN HILL WITH A STEEP EMBANKMENT WHEN THE POWER STEERING FAILED. POWER STEERING ESC LIGHTS WENT ACTIVATED. I ALMOST WENT OVER THE EMBANKMENT BEFORE BEING ABLE TO FORCEFULLY TURN THE WHEEL AND CONTINUED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL AND OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I WAS CLOSE TO HOME SO I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME. I CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK DRIVER. WHEN HE ARRIVED THE POWER STEERING WAS FINE NO POWER STEERING MESSAGES. HE WAS AWARE OF PREVIOUS RECALLS BUT THIS VEHICLE HAS NO ACTIVE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE EXACT PROBLEM COVERED BY SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL.
POWER STEERING OFF WILL APPEAR ON DASH WITH EACH OFF LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT OFF.
I WAS LEAVING A PARKING AREA WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL WAS IMMEDIATELY LOCKED WITH THE ECM "POWER STEERING." I TURNED OFF AND ON MY VEHICLE AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME USABLE AGAIN. THANK GOODNESS I WAS DRIVING WITH ZERO VEHICLES NEARBY. THIS PREMATURE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL IS A CRASH RISK.
BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS JUST QUIT WORKING BUT THE FUSES ARE GOOD AND THE HEADLIGHTS AREN'T A MONTH OLD.
MY CAR STEERING WHEEL IS HARD TO TURN WHILE IN MOTION, TURNING, BACKING OUT AND THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES AND RATTLES AS WELL WHILE SITTING STILL OR MOVING IT MAKES THIS RATTLE SOUND RIGHT BEFORE IT GETS TIGHT. I HAVE CALLED CHEVROLET ABOUT THE ISSUE MY MECHANIC LOOKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CAR AND THERE WAS. WHEN I CALLED CHEVROLET THEY STATED THAT THERE WASN'T. I HAVE ALSO SEEN ONLINE MYSELF THAT THERE IS A RECALL AND OTHERS ARE HAVING THE VERY SAME ISSUE. THE RECALL NUMBER IS 14E044000 STEERING SHAFT.
I WAS DRIVING AND I NOTICED A DECLINE IN POWER FROM THE MOTOR. THEN THE DASH START READING REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND ESC AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL.
ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN TO TURN LEFT OUT OF PARKING LOT ONTO SHORT STREET WHEN POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING, TRACTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON DASH AND SERVICE ESC CAME ON SCREEN AS WELL.
I BOUGHT MY CAR USED FROM A BUY HERE PAY HERE AND MAYBE A MONTH OR SO AFTER BUYING MY CAR I STARTED NOTICING DIFFERENT LITTLE QUIRKS HERE AND THERE WITH MY CAR, LIKE IF IT'S WET OUTSIDE MY BRAKE LIGHTS EITHER DO NOT WORK OR IT LOOKS LIKE I AM RIDING MY BREAKS, IF IT'S WET OUT MY CAR HESITANTS WHILE DRIVING, MY CHECK AIR BAGS LIGHT IS ON, THE TRACTION CONTROL SIGNAL IS ON, MY STEERING ARM MAKES A VERY WEIRD NOISE SOMETIMES THE LIST GOES ON AND WHEN I DECIDED TO CHECK AND SEE IF MY CAR HAD ANY RECALLS ON IT, TO MY DISCOVERY THERE IS AT LEAST 4 ONE JUST FROM 2019 AND ALL SOUNDS SO VERY MUCH LIKE WHAT MY CAR HAS BEEN DOING FOR MONTHS. I AM HOPING TO RECEIVE SOME INFORMATION BACK ON WHAT TO DO NEXT.
I CURRENTLY HAVE 2 OPEN RECALLS AND WAS NEVER SENT OUT NOTICES FOR EITHER, I AM CURRENTLY 15 WEEKS PREGNANT SO THAT'S A SAFETY CONCERN WITH ME BECAUSE THEY CAN BOTH RESULT IN A CRASH.
I HAD TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE HEADLIGHT UNIT DUE TO THE LOW BEAM CONNECTOR MELTING AND NOW ONLY 3 MONTHS LATER, BOTH LOW BEAM CONNECTORS HAVE MELTED LEAVING ME WITH NO HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THESE CARS AND A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. BOTH TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING. ONCE ON CITY STREETS AND TWICE ON THE INTERSTATE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN. THE CONTACT WAS BARELY ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AT ANY GIVEN TIME EVEN WHEN YOU AREN'T PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHEN YOU PRESS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL SOMETIMES THE BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON AT ALL. I HAVE REPLACED WHEEL HUB/BEARING COMBOS, ALONG WITH ADDING ELECTRICAL GREASE TO THE CONNECTOR FOR THE LIGHT CONTROLS, NOTHING FIXES THIS ISSUE.
I WAS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MY THIRD BRAKE LIGHT AT FIRST IT WOULD GO ON AN OFF THEN SOMEDAYS NOT WORK AT ALL. IN ORDER FOR MY VEHICLE TO PASS TEXAS INSPECTION IT NEEDS TO WORK ALL THE TIME. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY BECAUSE THERE WAS A RECALL BUT THE RECALL DIDN'T NOT COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS A FAULTY CIRCUIT BOARD IN THE TAIL LIGHT ITSELF THE RECALL COVERED THE BCM. I'VE SEEN ALOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE THAT I HAD. IT'S A VERY EXPRESSIVE REPAIR ABOUT $640. I WOULD ASSUME SINCE IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE IT SHOULD BE RECALLED AS WELL.
HEAD LIGHT LOW BEAM LIGHT BLOW OUT EVERY 2 MONTHS. I HAVE TO GET THIS REPLACED. THIS IS VERY EXPRESSIVE. THE WHOLE BUMPER HAVE TO BE REMOVED.

THE HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT WILL LIGHT (AND STAY LIT) WITHOUT THE BRAKE BEING DEPRESSED. WHEN THE BRAKE IS DEPRESSED USING NORMAL FORCE TO SLOW THE CAR, THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF. WHEN THE BRAKE IS DEPRESSED FURTHER AS IF TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. THIS BEHAVIOR IS INTERMITTENT.
BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS KEEPS GOING OUT I CHANGED BOTH HARNESS 4 TIMES AND THEY KEEP COMING ON AND GOING OFF. ALSO WINDOW BRAKE LIGHT LIGHTS UP WHEN IT WANTS TO WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKE AND BOTH FRONT DOOR SPEAKERS KEEPS COMING ON AND GOING OFF. SOMETIMES THE SWITCH ON DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL LOCK/UNLOCK DOORS AND SOMETIMES IT WANT. AT THIS POINT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE IS THAT'S CAUSING THIS MY MECHANIC THINKS IT'S AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT'S CAUSING ALL OF THIS. ALSO KEY FOB STOPPED WORKING SO I CHANGED THE BATTERY STILL DIDN'T WORK TOOK TO SEE IF MAYBE IT NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED BUT WAS TOLD ONCE AGAIN MY CAR HAS SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUES.

DURING DRIVING, VEHICLE SLIPS IN/OUT/PAST 2ND GEAR (OR NO 2ND GEAR IS AVAILABLE). NO 6TH GEAR AVAILABLE. HAPPENS CONSTANTLY IN CITY OR HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. THERE IS A MANUFACTURER RECALL (DTC P2714) ON OTHER 2010 CHEVROLET OF THE SAME MODEL AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHERS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE BUT THE MANUFACTURER STATES THAT THE RECALL DOES NOT COVER MY VIN.
BRAKE LIGHTS ON REAR WINDOW COME ON WITHOUT HITTING THE BREAK PEDAL AND GO OFF WHEN DEPRESSING BRAKE PEDAL. THE ESC WARNING ALSO COMES ON INTERMITENTLY.
SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING OR TURNING THE CAR ON, MY POWER STEERING INDICATION LIGHT COMES ON AND THE POWER STEERING GOES COMPLETELY OUT. ONCE I CUT THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, IT WILL START WORKING NORMAL AGAIN. MY STEERING WHEEL SHAKES WHEN IDLING AND MAKES A TICKING NOISE. IT SAYS A RECALL SIMILAR TO MY ISSUE WAS ALREADY REPAIRED ON THE VEHICLE BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE IT WAS PROPERLY FIXED.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR RUNNING REALLY FUNNY. SOMETIMES IT WON'T START. THEN AT TIMES IT WILL START BUT IF YOU PUT IT IN GEAR TO DRIVE. IT GOES VERY SLOW. THIS HAPPEN IN 2016 BEFORE. I GOT A LETTER FROM GM TO TAKE IT IN TO BE FIXED. WHEN I TAKE IT IN. MY CAR RESETS. AND THE DEALER TELLS ME THEY CAN'T FIX IT. THE LETTER I RECEIVED FROM GM IS SAYING I HAVE UNTIL 2020 TO GET IT FIXED. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I HAD VERY LOW MILES.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN WITH THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, SHE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE CONTACT STATED SHE WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE GEAR AFTER 2 HOURS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING THE CONTROL MODULE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
