AIR BAG DEPLOYED IN ACCIDENT CAUSING DAMAGE TO FACE CHEST LEG ALSO SEATBELT CAUSED SEVERE BRUISING TO LOWER ABDOMEN.
MY VEHICLE IS AT APPROXIMATELY 42,000 MILES AND JUST RECENTLY AT A STOP LIGHT (MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES) UPON MY SLOW ACCELERATION, LIGHTLY STEPPING ON THE GAS (APPROXIMATELY 3 MPH) MY CAR IDLED EXTREMELY ROUGH AND THEN IT DIED. THE RADIO REMAINED ON AND THE LIGHTS WERE ON, SO THE ONLY INDICATOR THAT POINTED ME TOWARDS MY CAR DYING OUT WAS THE FACT THAT THE AC CUT OFF, STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE RPM WENT TO 0. IMMEDIATELY I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, SWITCHED THE KEY TO OFF AND THEN HAD NO TROUBLE RE-STARTING MY VEHICLE. SHORTLY AFTER, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. SINCE THEN I HAD THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REPLACED (THERE ARE TWO CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSORS AND BOTH WERE REPLACED $117.00 USD) AND I HAD MY BATTERY LOAD TESTED AS WELL AS MY ALTERNATOR. EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT GOOD, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. WHAT IS GOING ON???
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE REAR BUMPER DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AND WAS LYING IN THE ROAD. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 83,000.
POWER STEERING GOES OUT AND STEERING WHEEL JERKS WHEN THIS HAPPENS. FIRST RADIO LIGHT ALL GO OFF, THEN STEERING JERKS AND LOSE POWER STEERING AND DASH LIGHTS GO OFF, THEN FLASH. THIS ALL LASTS 5-10 SECONDS, THEN EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. HAD CAR TO DEALER TO FIX SAME PROBLEM 4 DAYS PRIOR TO IT HAPPENING AGAIN. THIS OCCURS USUALLY WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING AND WHEN STEERING JERKS AND YOU LOSE POWER STEERING IT IS SURPRISING AND HAVE ALMOST HIT SEVERAL VEHICLES WHILE GOING 55-65MPH. SOMETIMES OCCURS WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN AND TURNING, ESPECIALLY TURNING RIGHT. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED CHEVY AND THEY TELL ME THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS WITH THESE CARS. ALSO SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT MY CAR DEALER AND CALL ME BACK IN 2 DAYS. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING BACK FROM THEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER (OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF MARLOW HEIGHTS 4400 BRANCH AVE, MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD 20748) FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THE VEHICLE NEEDED REPLACEMENT HUBS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE REOCCURRED WITH THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WITHIN A FEW MONTHS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF BOWIE 16610 GOVERNOR BRIDGE RD, BOWIE, MD 20716) AND THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THE VEHICLE NEEDED A REPLACEMENT BATTERY HOWEVER THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
@40,639 MILES PERFORM DIAG. CODE P0014 REPLACE EXHAUST SOLENOID VALVE. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN ORIGNAL CAR OWNER. IS THIS A RECALL, NOT ANNOUNCE YET. HELP!!!!!
CONSOLE FREEZES CAN'T CONTROL DEFROSTER OR BACKUP CAMERA
I USE MY REMOTE START FAIRLY OFTEN LIVING IN MICHIGAN. OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS IT HAS STARTED NOT TO DEFROST MY WINDSHIELD. EVEN ON HIGHEST TEMPERATURE AND FULL BLAST. FINALLY FOUND OUT THAT IT NO LONGER BLOWS ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE DOORS THAT SWITCH IT TO THE WINDSHIELD AND CABIN HAVE STOPPED GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE WINDSHIELD AND BLOW DIRECTLY INTO THE DASH. SO IT SOUND LIKE IT'S WORKING. BUT NOT MUCH AIR ACTUALLY HITS THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE FOUND MANY FORUMS WITH THIS AS AN ISSUE AND IT IS A CAR 3 YEARS OLD. AND IT IS A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX FOR SOMEONE STILL PAYING OFF THE CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED TWO MONTHS LATER WITH THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEARING NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, IT SPORADICALLY HAD AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000.
STABILITRAC LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON. DIAGNOSED BOTH THE LEFT REAR AND RIGHT REAR ENCODER RING FOR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR BROKEN. BOTH REAR WHEEL HUBS HAD TO BE REPLACED.
MY WIFE WHO WAS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING LOCKED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH.THANK GOD NO ONE WAS HURT, ALSO LOCKED AT LOW SPEED WHILE TURNING.WHENT TO 2 DIFFERENT CHEVY DEALERS WHO SAID THEY COULDNT FIND A PROBLEM. CONTACTED CHEVY USA WHO ADVISED ME THERE WAS THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM AND ISSUED A GM CASE# 8-1929724465. DEALER GRAND PRIZE CHEVROLET 11701 SW 152 STREET MIAMI FLORIDA IS NOW TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SOFTWARE REPAIR THAT GM SAID WOULD RESOLVE THIS HAZARDOUS DEFECT IN THEIR VEHICLE. STILL TRYING TO RESOLVE......
ABS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH MESSAGE TO SERVICE STABILITRAK.
THERE ARE PERIODS OF TIME WHEN I PUT MY TURN SIGNAL ON AND MY WHEEL LOCK UP, THE RADIO TURNS OFF AND ALL THE POWER SHUTS DOWN IN THE CAR. THE BRAKES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE LOCKING.

ADDITIONALLY, THE IGNITION KEY FAILED TO RELEASE FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,700.
SOMETIMES WHEN I START MY CAR THE AIR CONDITIONER COME ON BY IT'S SELF , WHILE THE KNOB IS SET ON OFF.

WHILE DRIVING HOME, I RECEIVED A WARNING TO SERVICE MY BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM. EVENTUALLY, THE BATTERY SAVER WAS ACTIVATED. I LOST MY POWER STEERING EVENTUALLY AND MY CAR STOPPED RUNNING. I COULD JUMP THE CAR TO START BUT MY CAR WOULD DIE WHEN PUT IN GEAR. MY VEHICLE HAS 51,000 MILES AND YET THE DRIVE BELT BROKE. WHILE REPAIRING IT, THE TECHNICIAN DISCOVERED THAT THE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER PULLEY WAS BAD AND NEEDED REPLACED. MY VEHICLE IS NOT OLD ENOUGH NOR WITH ENOUGH MILES TO WARRANT THIS PART GOING BAD. I HAD TO PAY A $700 REPAIR BILL BECAUSE IT IS OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY. *JS
SO I HAVE A 2013 MALIBU LT WHICH I HAD TOOK TO THE DEALER FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND ENDED UP BEING THAT THE CAM SHAFT HAD TO BE REPLACED. NOW THAT I GOT MY CAR BACK 2 WEEKS LATER WITH 33,000 MILES IT KEEPS COMING UP WITH SERVICE STABILITRAK. IT STALLS OUT ON ME SO I TAKE IT BACK IN AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIKE IS NOT ON. SO I HAVE MY CAR BACK AND IT'S THE SAME PROBLEM...AT A STOP THE CAR WILL SHOW SERVICE STABILITRAK AND THEN SHORTLY AFTER IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF!! TONIGHT DRIVING HOME FROM WORK I GOT SCARED BECAUSE IT DID IT TO ME ABOUT 6 TIMES AND MIND YOU ITS A 20 MINUTE DRIVE. AS I TURNS ON MY LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 MILES PER HOUR THE CAR DID IT AGAIN AND SEEMED LIKE IT WAS ABOUT TO JUST SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF ME DRIVING IT. THE CAR SLOWED ITSELF AND THE STEREO SHUT OFF AND THEN EVERYTHING FLASHED AS IF I HAD JUST TURNED THE CAR ON AND ALL THE DOORS RELOCKED ITSELF. AFRAID OF WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT I'M TAKING IT IN AGAIN AND DEMANDING THAT THEY RESEARCH THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT...AND I DON'T CARE IF THERE IS NO ENGINE LIGHT ON, THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING BECAUSE I'M TO THE POINT THAT I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR IN FEAR THAT I MIGHT CAUSE A WRECK DUE TO MY CAR SHUTTING OFF BY ITSELF!! MY FAN KEEPS STAYING ON AFTER MY CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES NOW. THIS WEEK MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, MY CAR SIGNALED THAT IT WAS OVERHEATING, AND I NEEDED TO IDLE MY ENGINE. THE TEMPERATURE GUAGE WENT BACK AND FORTH FROM COLD TO HOT. I WAS TOLD AT THE LAST TRIP TO THE DEALER THEY HAD FIXED EVERYTHING AND I HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY. NOW THERE IS THIS PROBLEM WHERE I CANNOT TURN ON THE DEFROST OR THE CAR WILL THINK IT IS OVER HEATING, BUT THERE IS NO SMOKE AND IT CAN BE IN AS LITTLE AS 30 SECONDS AFTER I START MY CAR. THE PANEL WHERE THE REAR CAMERA GETS WARM BUT NO HEAT COMES OUT OF THE VENTS. MY CONCERN IS THE VEHICLE WILL IGNITE WHILE I AM DRIVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS WAS NOT MAKING CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES SINCE THE FIRST WEEK THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
THE LEFT DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE AND THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR THE DRIVER.
WHILE DRIVING INTO CHICAGO ON A BUSY INTERSTATE HWY A WARNING DISPLAYED ON THE DASH "SERVICE GENERATOR CONTROL MODULE," BEFORE I COULD REACH A SERVICE CENTER THE VOLTAGE BEGAN TO DROP AND ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS FAILED (LIGHTS, STEERING & BRAKE ASSIST, ETC. THE ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY STOPPED. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER. THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD, NO ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WORKED, E.G. EMERGENCY FLASHERS, COULDN'T REMOVE IGNITION KEY. AFTER WAITING 4 HOURS FOR TOW TRUCK, TOWED TO ROGERS CHEVROLET IN CHICAGO. VEHICLE SAT ON THE LOT TWO DAYS, THEN SERVICE TECH SAID VEHICLE STARTED AND RAN NORMALLY WITH NO FAULT INDICATIONS. VEHICLE CONTINUES TO OPERATE NORMALLY. DEALER ADVISES TO BRING VEHICLE BACK WHEN IT FAILS. CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS PERHAPS THE COMPUTER INITIATED A FALSE ERROR REPORT AND THEN SHUTS DOWN THE GCM CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STOP AND THAT'S WHY MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR THE GCM PROBLEM. IT WOULD APPEAR FURTHER INVESTIGATION IS WARRANTED. FORTUNATELY NO PERSONAL INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED, BUT MY DOG LEAPED FROM THE STRANDED VEHICLE INTO TRAFFIC RESULTING ON OVER $6,600 IN MEDICAL EXPENSE SO FAR. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE DEATH/INJURY THRESHOLD IS UNTIL GM WILL REPAIR THEIR OWN FAULTY VEHICLES.

CAR DIES WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. RESTARTS ITSELF AFTER A COUNT OF 3. WILL DIE COMPLETELY WHEN STANDING STILL AND ALL THE LIGHTS AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS GO OFF. THE COMPUTER DOES NOT REGISTER THE DYING. I LOSE POWER STEERING IF IN A TURN WHEN IT DIES. IT STARTS WITH THE RADIO. DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIND PROBLEM AND CAN'T SEEM TO RECREATE IT. WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR IT WAS LESS THAN 4 MONTHS OF OWING IT 38,000 MILE, AND I HAD ISSUES. WHEN I WOULD COME TO A STOP AND THE AUTO STOP/START WOULD KICK IN MY CAR WOULD DIE. AND AT ONE TIME IT SMELT LIKE A BURNING RUBBER. THE INITIAL TIME THE CAR DIED AND WOULD NOT START. CALLED DEALERSHIP MATHEWS BUICK IN MARION INDIANA, HAD IT TOWED BUT THEY COULD FIND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. WELL IT HAPPENED AGAIN NOT A FEW MONTHS LATER THIS TIME BY THE TIME I GOT TO MY HOME THE SERPENTINE BELT BUSTED FROM WHERE THE "AUTO STOP/START FEATURE" LOCKED UP AND BROKE IT IN HALF. SO FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS LATER "THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT" BUT I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT SINCE THEN. NOW MY ENGINE LEAKS DONT KNOW WHY, AND MY CAR WONT EVEN START. I COULD NOT EVEN TELL YOU WHAT THEY FIXED, BUT IT COST ME. I TRIED THE LEMON LAW BUT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE IN A CERTAIN TIME, AND IT HAS TO BE FIXED SO MANY TIMES. ACTUATOR DID NOT MEET SPECS IT WAS NECESSARY TO REPLACE ACTUATOR. THIS SERVICE WAS DONE BY JIM KERAS CHEVROLET IN MEMPHIS TENNESSEE. THE COVERING ON THE DRIVER SEAT THAT PROTECTS THE SEAT CONTROLS HAS FALLEN OFF, THE CAR HAS NO PICK UP WHEN DEPRESSING THE EXCELLERATOR AND MAKES NOISE AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT CHANGING. I WENT TO VINCHECK PRO AND THERE WERE 7 RECALLS SPECIFICALLY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SOFTWARE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR OF ACURA OF MEMPHIS AT RIDGEWAY AND 385. NO ONE TOLD ME OF ANY FACTORY RECALLS. THE MONEY I AM SPENDING FOR THIS CAR IS ALREADY TOO MUCH AND NOW HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS OUT OF A CAR THATS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD IS RIDICULOUS. THE ABS LIGHT HAS COME ON STATING THAT I DID NOT HAVE STABIL TRACK CONTROL ANYMORE. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS ENTERING A BUSY ROAD WHEN I SPUN TIRES ON SOME GRAVEL ON PAVEMENT ROAD SURFACE. IT HAPPENED WHEN I SPUN TIRES ON A ICY ROAD DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR DUE TO ROAD CONDITIONS. IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN A DRY PAVEMENT STATE HIGHWAY AT 65 MILES AN HOUR. A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES. EVERY TIME IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM BUT DIFFERENT WHEELS. IT HAS HAPPENED WITH LR, RR AND RF WHEELS PART REPLACED WAS 13589507W-(S) WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY. THE PROBLEM IS THE ENCODER RING WHICH IS PART OF THIS ASSEMBLY IS CRACKED, PIECES GONE OR THE WHOLE THING GONE. THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM WITH EARLIER VERSIONS OF THIS ENCODER RING. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PART WILL BE ON THE NEW 2017 MODELS AND THAT IT WILL AFFECT THE COMPUTER EVEN MORE THAN THE 2013 VERSION WITH SOME FEATURES SUCH AS CRUISE CONTROL.
WHILE DRIVING AND SIGNALING TO CHANGE LANE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE RADIO TURNED OFF. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AFTER SPEAKING WITH CHEVY. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATED THE ISSUE. IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES THEN AUG 8, 2015 I WAS ABLE TO RECORD A 2 MINUTE VIDEO OF THE ISSUE. ON 8/13/2015 NICHOLAS FROM GLOBAL AUTO (908) 757-4000 CALLED SAYING THAT THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE OF A FAULTY ALTERNATOR. I FIND THIS HIGHLY SUSPECT BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE VIDEO, THE RADIO CUTS OUT, THE STEERING CUTS OUT BUT THE AIR CONDITIONER STAYS ON. IF THE ALTERNATOR IS GOING BAD YOU WOULD SEE AN ACROSS THE BOARD LOSS OF POWER NOT JUST CERTAIN SYSTEMS. I WILL BE TAKING THE CAR TO AUTOZONE THIS WEEKEND TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR INSTALLED. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING LOSS OF STEERING ON CHEVY MALIBU'S I HAVE ZERO FAITH IN THIS RESOLVING THE ISSUE. FURTHERMORE IF IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR IT WOULD NOT PICK AND CHOOSE WHEN TO QUIT AND IT WOULD NOT ONLY QUIT WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAD TURN.

GRATEFULLY WAS ABLE TO RETAIN CONTROL OF CAR. SINCE FIRST OCCURRENCE IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST SIX TIMES AND SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT NIGHT OR WHILE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON.

SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASE MY VEHICLE IT BEGAN TO STALL OR SHUT DOWN. FIRST INCIDENT, I PULLED UP AT SCHOOL AND INTO A PARKING SPOT AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN, NOT ALLOWING ME TO TURN THE KEY INTO THE OFF POSITION IN THE IGNITION. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE GEAR IN PARK, CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD IT TOWED BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT COME ON. THEY SENT IT TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK 2 WEEKS LATER AND I DROVE OVER 200 MILES OUT OF TOWN. ONCE I MADE IT TO WHERE I WAS GOING A SLOWED DOWN TO TURN A CORNER AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP LIKE IT LOST POWER. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO MY DESTINATION AND ONCE THERE THE CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND HE TOLD TO ME PUSH THE BUTTON TO PUSH THE SEAT BACK AND ONCE ALL THE WAY BACK, TO THEN PUSH THE BUTTON THE MOVE THE SEAT FORWARD. ONCE I BEGAN TO PUSH THE SEAT FORWARD THE WHOLE CAR POWERED BACK ON. IT HAS BEEN DOING THIS ON AND OFF SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE IN 2015. IT HAS BEEN SENT TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE VEHICLE TO START TO CUT OFF ONTHE REGULAR NOW, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND REGULAR STREETS. I DRIVE AT LEAST 25 MILES TO WORK EVERYDAY. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE HARM TO MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE IF THIS PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED SOON.
ISSUE WITH THE LEFT REAR WHEEL BEARING GOING BAD AT 60,000 MILES. THE CAR MAKES A LOUD NOISE AT ACCELERATION AND A CONSTANT HUM AT SET HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WITH THE CAR ON A LIFT, YOU CAN PLACE YOUR HAND ON THE HUB, AND SPIN THE TIRE YOU CAN FEEL THE VIBRATION. THE CONCERN IS THE HUB IS OUT OF ROUND CAUSING THE WHEEL BEARING TO PREMATURELY WEAR OUT. ON-LINE RESEARCH INDICATES THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH CHEVROLET MALIBU OWNERS.
