While driving in traffic, car was making weird shifts and strange noises. The engine suddenly lost all power. I tried to restart and the car wouldn't turn over. I tried again and it finally turned over after struggling.
The engine failed and had catastrophic damage. As I was driving it on the highway at speeds of 65 mph the vehicle started loosing power and shaking violently in the middle of driving it. Therefore putting my life and other life’s in danger. After a couple miles the Electronic stability control light came on and the traction control light came on. Also the check engine light came on. Vehicle only has 7500 miles and was driven daily without any mistreatment. The dealer confirmed that the vehicle had catastrophic damage. It had metal shavings inside the oil system. The dealer confirmed the next day that it was worse than when I took it in and they weren’t even able to move it to the engine bay.
I was driving on the highway passing an 18-wheeler, my truck started making a noice. I hit my hazards and heard others hitting their brakes as I moved for the shoulder. My engine failed and my truck is at the dealership waiting for a new motor and radiator. No warning lamps or messages.
My 2024 Chevy Silverado Trailboss with the 6.2 engine has had engine tick since it had about 1200 miles on it, I brought it into the dealer where I purchased it and they determined nothing was wrong with it, now today, the noise is way worse, so I called local dealership to my area, with this engine recall on the 6.2’s, the service guy I spoke with said GM has not come up with a remedy yet so there is nothing they can do about it. I asked them what I’m supposed to do, he said keep driving it until it locks up, I asked him if he was serious and he said yes, drive it until it locks up then have it towed to dealership, if they have a loaner I might get one, I said it’s a safety issue if it locks up on the highway or in traffic, he said yep, drive it until it locks up! GM has had 2 buy back programs on this and they still do not have a fix?
I was going 70 in the fast lane on [XXX] near birmingham, Al; when my 2024 Silverado lost propulsion, electrical and power steering. I was forced to move 3 lanes over to the emergency lane or wreck off to the left. When it lost propulsion i lost turn signals and power steering. They are going to attempt to fix it, but engines are on backorder. Regardless if it is fixed, the thing almost killed me. There's no way I'm going to be driving that thing. This issue was confirmed at the dealership and no warning lights came up on the screen prior to losing propulsion. Vehicle has 19299 miles and engine started rattling on deceleration and making clicking and knocking noises. Engine simply stopped working on the highway on the way to Chevy Maintenance. Couldn’t even shift to neutral to get it on the tow truck. It had to be dragged up the ramp. The the clicking and knocking to engine failure happened in one day. Now my truck is sitting in Chevrolet waiting on an engine which is on back order. So I’ll be without a truck that I’m making 1800/mo payments on (took 36 month loan) and can’t even reduce my insurance to comprehensive due to being at a maintenance lot. Bottom line, I have a new undriveable truck with no date available as to when I’ll even get it back. It’s been suggested one to two months…
Engine safety concern. Grinding and clunking while engine is running and gets worse under load or when accelerating. Have taken into dealer for service over 6 times. Recall service was performed and their fix was to change to a thicker oil but all that caused was worse fuel economy, more expensive oil changes, and the noises have become worse. Going back to dealer next week for another attempt. Have requested lemon replacement with GM but they are denying any issue.
I got my new 2024 Chevy Silverado 2.7l turbomax custom 6 months ago. It shifts weird the first few times from a cold start. I have asked the salesman and he said yeah you have to let the truck warm up for 5 min or so. But even in doing so it still happens, worse the colder out it is. Yesterday I went to grab some food and went to take off onto the main road and when it tried to shift from first to second it felt like the transmission just stopped working for a few seconds then hit 2nd gear hard. I was told this was because the truck needs to get used to the way I drive it. Which I now have close to 4,000 miles on it and it still happens almost every time I shut the truck off and it cools down to ambient temperature. I know this is not normal, and a big safety concern because when I do go to pull out and this happens it feels like a total loss of power and does not take off like it should. I have yet to bring it into the dealership. But I have called about the issue and was told this is normal and would go away. Which it has not. So I am going to make a appointment to get it in the shop. I have also read that many others are having this same exact issue. In which case some people are saying they told them the same thing “that it’s normal”, I have heard others say they will change transmission fluid because the fluid they used is to thick, and have heard of others who had to have them change out the control module for the transmission and or reset it. I am just worried that I’m going to pull out on day and have this happen and get hit from the rear because I don’t have the power I should have to take off properly. Not to mention I should not have to let my car idle for 5-10 min before I can drive it. That’s a huge waste of gas, and time, plus having your direct injection idle makes a ton of carbon build up in the engine. I am not a certified technician but I have been working on my own vehicles for over 20 years now. So a brand new truck should not be doing this.
On April 25, 2025, I was driving on the expressway to work when my 2024 Chevy Silverado 6.2 liter suddenly lost all power. I had to coast from the 3rd lane to the off ramp to get out of other vehicles. My truck was towed to Garber Chererolet in Webster NY, at an expense to me. On April 28, 2025, I was informed by the service manager at Gar er Chevrolet that my Chevy Silverado, 6.2 liter motor blew up and needed a new motor. Later on during the course of that day on April 28, 2025, I learned of, on a national media platform, that General Motors initiated a recall for the 6.2 liter motors that were defective not only for Chevrolet products but all GM products with the 6.2 liter motor in them. Unfortunately I never received a recall notice by the Chevy app, email, USPS Mail or any other means of communication. On Tuesday April 29, 2025, I initiated a claim with General Motors Customer Service Care. This is very very bad, knowingly that there were issues for years with the 6.2 liter motor. I've driven Chevrolet my whole entire adult life because I believe in the product. However, I am going to reconsider my buying options immediately due to the incompetence and negligence of General Motors. This is a serious offense, not only against me but for the whole general population that drive these vehicles. GM pute and all in a very serious situation that could have led to serious physical injury or death itself! Now General Motors tells me that I have to wait between 2 and 3 months for a new 6.2 liter motor because it's on back order. This is not acceptable in no way for myself or anyone else. I will be joining the class action lawsuit against General Motors and all the incompetent executives who knowingly and egregiously hid this from the general public, their customers, including myself. I am beyond angry and have zero confidence in GM going forward.
While merging onto the fast lane of the highway i experienced a "press push start to restart" alarm and total loss of power as I went to accelerate and merge with traffic. It was almost like the truck was in neutral but pedal would not even increase the rmp. There was no shoulder and I was forced to stop and restart my vehicle between the onramp and the fast lane. Im fortunate to not have ended up in a bad rear end accident. It did the same a half mile later where atleast I had a shoulder to pull off onto this time. Check engine light threw up a camshaft position sensor fault
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that there was a thumping sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the vehicle was vibrating, hesitating, and shuddering while idling or driving at slower speeds of approximately 10 - 40 MPH. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle but had not retrieved any fault codes. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
GM is not handle this recall in a timely manner. They are refusing to inspect vehicle to see of there are any defects. This is concerning, as based on the recall notice, the engine may fail at anytime. This could cause a crash or leave me or my wife stranded on some road. My dealer would do the inspection but to do the inspection but they said they are not allowed until I have gotten "permission" from GM. This is a safety concern for me and my family and GM is not handling this appropriately. An immediate inspection should be done ensuring if the vehicle is safe to drive.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed oil leaking from the bottom of the vehicle near the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9,997.
Recall in place and truck shows recall, multiple appointments made and canceled. Dealer unwilling to handle recall to ensure safety and remove safety recall attached to my vin. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment, and the oil pressure gauge dropped. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road, where it stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,794.
Truck has 7000 miles defective valve body failure would not go into reverse and in limp went to dealership and diagnosis is needs valve body replacement with parts on back order with no eta. They said it could be 3-5 months. This is a national issue I’m on multiple social media sites for Chevy trail boss and there is too many to count and it’s been happening since 2021. GM has been no help no loaners and you have to pay for a rental for 3-5 months and pay your truck payments and hopes you are reimbursed at the end. They just recalled the 2021-2022 same 10spd transmissions they are selling Trucks knowing these issues exist also the lifter issues with total engine failures at 10000 miles. The transmission lock up at high speeds.
The truck suddenly and completely shut down while I was driving on the highway, with no warning signs before the total power loss. This unexpected failure put me in a dangerous situation. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership where it was purchased, and after inspection, the dealer informed me that the engine had completely failed and now requires a full replacement.
Transmission pauses from 1st and 2nd gear. Causing to have no acceleration from a stop. Can cause safety issue to accelerate while pulling in front of traffic. Truck has been to the dealer. Dealer says no codes triggered but the pausing still persists and is only getting worse. Truck has been doing it since around 30,000 miles. Truck currently has 36,760 miles.
I had a engine failure in my 2024 Chevy Silverrado Trail Boss1500. I had just exited off the highway and came to a complete stop at the stoplight. When the light turned green, I hit the gas pedal and I did not move. I looked down at my gear shifter and noticed the truck was in park (I did not shift the truck into park). I tried to put the truck into drive and realized the engine was not running. I tried starting the truck and it would not start. The truck would crank, but would not start up. I tried this several times with no luck getting truck started. I even tried to put the truck in neutral to get the truck out of the middle of the road and could not get it neutral to move it. I called chevy roadside to tow it to the dealer. The dealership called me on tuesday and said the engine had blown because of a bearing failure and engine needs replaced. Also, they have not let me know approx time I will get my truck back. They claim there's a shortages of engines on the 6.2 liter engine.
On [XXX], I [XXX] ) experienced the following issues with my new 2024, Chevrolet Silverado - 1500: • Front Windshield Wiper Washer Fluid not spraying/dispensing. • No messages or symbols displayed on the Driver Information Center dashboard indicating Windshield Wiper Washer Fluid Reservoir low/empty. • Inspected the reservoir that holds the fluid and did not observe low/empty. • Took it to the GM dealer 4 times and they were unable to repair. My vehicle has a recurring defect with the windshield washer system where the washer fluid does not dispense when activated. This issue occurred on a new vehicle and has persisted despite service attempts. When the washer fluid fails to spray, I am unable to clear dirt, dust, road debris, or moisture from the windshield while driving. This significantly reduces forward visibility, especially at freeway speeds or in conditions where debris from other vehicles hits the windshield. The inability to clear the windshield immediately creates a safety hazard because it can obstruct the driver’s line of sight and increase the risk of a collision. This issue is not cosmetic, it directly affects safe operation of the vehicle and the driver’s ability to maintain visibility during normal driving conditions. I am reporting this because the defect is ongoing and may affect other vehicles of the same model. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
It happened to me twice but the first time I was driving on the highway with my family and without warning my engine cut off and I had a message that said “press start button to restart”. I coasted to the shoulder, put the truck in park, and was able to restart. I took it to my dealership where they ran codes and nothing wrong with the engine showed. About 2 weeks later I was taking my kids to daycare and had just exited the highway when my engine cut out again. I pulled up to the 4 way stop sign intersection and tried to restart the truck but it was completely dead and I was stranded in the middle of the intersection with my 3 and 1 year old. The truck threw an engine light this time. I tried to get the truck out of the intersection but the gear was stuck in park and wouldn’t shift to neutral. I then had the truck towed to my dealership where it has been since.
No warning vehicle has dead battery and first message that appears is ‘Service Steering Column Lock’. Cannot reset.
While driving on March 23, 2025, we heard a loud bang, we stopped at a gas station shortly thereafter and realized the tailgate had fallen open while driving and struck the trailer hitch. The latch/camera compartment were broken and hanging from where it struck the crank for trailer hitch and the tailgate was damaged (dented). It was taken to the dealership where they advised there is a recall on some models due to this same issue. They checked and advised our truck is not part of recall. We filed a PAC claim with Chevrolet which they are declining to pay. The latch/camera is currently taped into place. It has fallen open while driving one additional time since the first event. We frequently carry things in the bed of truck and our safety and that of anyone behind us could be in jeopardy.
Vehicle does not indicate proper DEF level. Vehicle has stated several times that it is out of DEF but is not. The most recent time the vehicle was at a dealer and was noted as normal operation. Driving up to going the dealer: vehicle displayed message “DEF empty refill now vehicle speed restricted to 65mph”with a 500 mile count down. Vehicle was driven 489 miles of the 500 miles. Vehicle was taken to a dealer. Dealer confirmed that vehicle was not out of DEF, vehicle was at 40% DEF capacity (~2 gallons of fluid in a 5 gallon tank). Dealer noted that this was normal operation. This is not safe, the DEF system isn’t accurately reporting level. In other situations it hasn’t recognize DEF fills. This can potentially lead to the vehicle severely restricting speed or not allowing the motor to restart creating unsafe conditions for the passengers and other vehicles on the road way. Vehicle was under warranty at the time of the issues. Vehicle is currently just under 37,000 miles.
Was pulling out onto the road from sitting at a traffic light, vehicle was going less than 25mph when the engine made a clunk trying to shift and the check engine light came on. Computer software indicated “limp mode with reduced acceleration activated.” Vehicle wouldn’t accelerate above 35mph, had to drive on major highway to get to dealership. Truck is only used as commuter vehicle hasn’t towed anything. Dealership indicated valve body transmission failed with vehicle only have 9k miles on it. Part is on back order as it is being manufactured due to installed faulty part, problem has been going on in 2023/2024 Chevy and gmc trucks since January 2024 without a recall put in place. Problem is being fixed after the part fails and the truck fails to run at optimal valves. According to forums software update were installed versus recalls to the actually valve body part being. I was sold a truck in sept 2024 with a faulty installed part versus it being fixed before it was purchased. This caused me to be stranded 1500 miles away from my home and we were not made aware of the know valve body transmission issue. The information was covered up versus being disclosed.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH on a highway entrance ramp, the vehicle failed to accelerate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the "Reduce Acceleration Drive with Care" message was displayed on the instrument panel. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was instructed to take the vehicle in for a diagnostic test. Once the contact arrived at the dealer, 13 diagnostic trouble codes were retrieved; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. An appointment was scheduled with the same dealer, and it was discovered that the diesel particulate filter was clogged with soot, causing the vehicle to enter LIMP Mode. Despite this discovery, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure after the filter was unclogged. The vehicle resumed normal operation. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 11,267.
the transmission slips into neutral when in drive or reverse. yes dealer states it the valve body on transmission part not available called general motors and they state looking to get part can not tell us how long this is on a brand new chevy silverrado 4WD 2024.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled and failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated; however, the message “Reduced Acceleration – Proceed with Care” was displayed. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and was scanned; however, no DTC was retrieved. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an emissions system failure and was concerned because there was no notification on the regen of the diesel engine. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000.
Experienced sudden engine failure while driving on the interstate. Mileage on the vehicle is 11,635. Engine has been maintained as per manufacturers recommendations. Currently at dealership awaiting engine replacement. Was informed that main locking cap for crankshaft came apart, resulting in a hole in the engine block with sudden loss of oil and oil pressure. Currently replacement engines are not available as GM has had a large number of 6.2 L engines that have similarly failed. Dealer cannot provide information on when replacement will be available.
On [XXX] at [XXX] while driving at highway speeds (70-75 mph) on [XXX] , I experienced engine failure in my 2024 chevy silerado zr2. Within seconds, the truck began to lose engine power, the check engine light came on, a transmission warning displayed, the truck shook violently and lost electrical power and power steering. I was able to get to the shoulder in less than a minute and the truck shut down completely. After exiting the truck, I observed smoke, the smell of fire and engine oil/ fluids all over the ground. There were no warning lights or symptoms prior to the engine failing. The sudden loss of power and power steering could have resulted in an accident. The vehicle has been inspected by a certified chevy dealer and they have verbally confirmed engine failure. i have not been provided any documentation or formal updates on the process. Truck will randomly throw codes for service 4wd and forward collision unavailable, rear cross traffic unavailable, lane departure will not work, auto high beams not work, and if parked position truck will not release Park brake making truck unable to be moved. Truck has been in and out of certified dealer 3 times and problems still occurring at random. Dealer has stated they are not able to duplicate issues and can't do anything. Issues happening pose risk while driving when codes come on making all standard safety features not to work in event of a accident. Also making truck not mobile when Park brake sets in event of accident.
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the gear shift independently shifted into neutral, and the vehicle lost motive power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road and attempted to restart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. An undisclosed dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine was damaged and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the engine was not available for replacement. The approximate failure mileage was 10,518.
I was cruising on [XXX] with about 55MPH, and the engine suddenly shut off without any indication. I had to turn on emergency light and came to a full stop in the traffic to restart the engine. It was a route with very heavy traffic in New Jersey, and the lost of power was very scaring and exposed me to a very serious safety risk. Vehicle has left me stranded multiple times, once over 2000 miles from home at only 26k miles on the vehicle with catastrophic engine emissions and electrical failures. Costing me thousands in lodging and months of my time. My vehicle has stalled multiple times on interstates and busy roads with no shoulders putting me and other drivers at risk.
I’ve had 3 occasions of this brand new vehicles front collision avoidance system going off HARD and locking up the brakes. It scared the crap out of me as there was nothing in front of me - if I hadn’t known the truck had automatic collision software - I’d have driven to the Chevy Dealership right then. The first time I thought it was a fluke. The second time it really caught me off guard. The third time (inside 2 months) I realized there is something not right. I reported it to the dealership but they wanted me to trade it in for a new truck. Sorry, no. I just want to report this problem as I’ve seen a recall on other vehicles with 10 speed transmissions. Their shifting problem - is also present in the Chevy Silverado Truck - but it has not impacted my use of….
My name is [XXX] and I currently own a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Truck with a 6.2 lt motor. On [XXX], my truck failed me at which point it had to be towed by road side assistance to Sun Chevy in Chittenango NY. While at the dealer I was advised that my Truck engine 6.2 is bad that the crank shaft bearing failed and further piston rods failed and it would need to be replaced. Two days following I received a call and was advised by the dealer (Sun Chevy) that GM advised the dealer to rebuild the engine. Once that was completed 10 days later the dealer contacted me and stated that the motor does not sound right and there were further problems. I was also advised by the dealer that this is a known problem with 6.2 motors and GM is aware of it. On (3-14-2025) I was told by Sun Chevy that the 6.2 motors are on backorder and I would have to wait approx 6 to 9 months. This truck is not even 1 year old and this is not acceptable in any way. I am paying on a truck that is not operable. I have always been a faithful Chevy owner however I cannot wait this long after buying a New Truck. I called GM to discuss options moving forward and them replacing my Truck. I can be contacted at [XXX], or [XXX]. According to GM This issue has been assigned a case number and that as far as it has gone. My famiky vacation now has to be cancelled as we were going to be traveling in the Truck and the Dealer stated that the loaner vehicle cannot leave the state. This is a complete mess. Any assistance would be appreciated. Respectfully, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was driving on [XXX] leaving from Onawa, IA. Up to this point I had not issue or notifications about my vehicle. While driving North bout and having the adaptive cruise control set at 80 MPH, I was in the left lane passing 3 semis in the right lane. After passing the first one, the first semi merged to the left lane following. I was approximately 1/2 passed the next semi when all the sudden my cruise started to slow down. It went from 80 to 78 back to 80, then 80 back to 77 to 80. Suddenly and with no warning the engine completely shut down and I went from 80 - 0 is approx. 100 feet. The semi behind me sounded their horn loudly as they almost hit my rear end before merging over. I had no time to go over to the right shoulder and had to go to the left where the vehicle would not move. I could not move the vehicle off the shoulder as it would not shift to natural. Law enforcement was notified as the safety of the vehicle on the left side of the interstate caused safety issues. While driving my vehicle on the highway I was exiting when I looked down at the instrument panel it stated a message along the lines of shifting to neutral and to press the ignition to restart engine. I noticed the vehicle wasn’t accelerating when attempting so I slowed down and did what it instructed me to do. The engine then wouldn’t start, I was uneasy because cars were coming from behind at a decent speed because of morning traffic. I somehow managed to get it to crank and took it to the dealer right away. They stated it was from low voltage and were replacing the battery under warranty. I didn’t think that was the cause but gave them the benefit of the doubt. 2 weeks later while taking my family out, the same incident happened. I wasn’t able to get it to crank and had to get it towed to the dealer. They stated it was the engine because now the engine was making a loud sound when ignited. It is about to be 4 weeks without vehicle and no repair has been made due to no inventory on engines.
Reduce Acceleration drive with care and engine light came on. Can’t go faster than 40 MPH and unable to reverse. Only 8,000 plus miles. According to mechanic, it’s a sticky transmission valve and there should be a recall.
Sudden Engine failure, metal shavings found in oil at 16K miles. GM and the dealer acknowledges that the 6.2L motor has been having issues. They state that they are currently investigating but a "fix" of the issue has NOT been made. The motor was replaced under warranty, however, the engine they replaced it with has the same chance of failing as the original engine. There was no warning, no indications prior the the motor seizing up at a red light
Hi - I'm filing a complaint against Chevrolet with the NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation. I purchased a brand new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado in Dec of 2024 from a dealership in MA. I've had the truck for only 2 months and only a couple thousand miles. I was in Quebec with my family for a ski vacation and we were driving back on [XXX} when my truck suddenly started making loud engine noises. I was able to get off the interstate to a gas station and then the truck turned off and would not start again. I had the truck towed to a Chevrolet dealership in Granby, Quebec. There was no warning or alerts before the engine failed. This is a known issue that the NHTSA is currently investigating, it has to do with the 6.2L V8 engine in GM vehicles from 2019-2024. The engine is seized and cannot be repaired, truck needs a new engine. Thank you. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
When driving at slow speeds, less that 10 MPH, the engine shuts off and vehicle shifts to neutral. Message is displayed on driver console Press Start Button to restart. Only the engines shuts down as all displays, entertainment center and controls are still displayed. Pushing the start button restarts the engine. This has occurred several times since purchasing the truck however it has occurred 2 times in the last 45 days. This issue has happened while driving in slow traffic on the interstate and is concerning when it occurs as I come to a complete stop without warning creating a possible rear end accident. It was first reported to my Chevy service dealer on 2/21.2025, The Chevy tech stated they could not duplicate the issue so no remedy has been offered. The issue continues to happen and I will be returning to my Chevy service center for another report of this continuing to happen.
My truck had a check engine light come on for the transmission 2 months ago and then it went off before it was serviced. They said they couldn’t do anything since the light went off. Then last week I didn’t have reverse and it wouldn’t shift into gear. A week after it had been in the shop they told me the transmission valve body needs to be replaced. Expected date for parts to arrive is 3-10.
My truck has a 6.2 liter engine the engine lost power. I have had the adaptive cruise shut down and start back up with no blockage that would cause it, I have had issues with the radio/GPS around seven or eight times the GPS almost sent me the wrong way on a one way street. the truck is still in the shop
Date of purchase [XXX]. Date of incident [XXX]. I was on my way to work at [XXX] and it was raining . Truck would not accelerate more than 45 miles an hour speed limit is 65 on the freeway. Engine light turned on and all the dashboard icons turned on. Drove it to the nearest dealership Tom Bell Chevrolet in Redlands Ca. Once I put vehicle in park it would not start. The message on the dashboard board displayed something like unable to access. So I went to see if service center open since it was [XXX]. He instructed me to drive around I said it will be not go into motion. After 15 minutes I checked the status on my phone and it did not display anything wrong so I went ahead and turned it on and drove it to the service center but once again it would not accelerate and shock vigorously. Once in the service line it turned off and did not stay on. Dealership ran diagnostics he mentioned cylinder and piston but they need to run more test. He called me back 2/14/25 asked if I had taken it to the dealership where I bought since purchased I said no it’s brand new, it looks tampered with . Called me back again and said this vehicle had a motor recall and a technician at Riverside Chevy worked on it and all the components are not connected we can work on it it need to go back to them and they need to explain what is wrong. Total engine failure on interstate in North Carolina
Motor blew in my 2024 Chevy Silverado. Motor was a 6.2 liter, L87 with 17,600 miles. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks without my vehicle. I've gotten no information on when any repairs will be made, nor have I gotten any support from the dealership or GM. I was driving 60+ mph in heavy traffic when the motor went. I was put in a bad situation and was lucky to get out of it without injury. I don't know what to do and need help!
The entire camera safety system is glitchy. Whether backing up or not, the side, front, back and top view camera system intermittently works then doesn’t, going days on end without working.
