THE BOLTS SEPARATED FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER LINES, CAUSING THE AIR CONDITIONER LINES TO LEAK COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER LINES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,123.

A LIFTER WENT BAD
WHEN I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL 2016 I CONTACTED AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO SAID NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. I CONTACTED ANOTHER AUTHORIZED DEALER TODAY MARCH 19, 2018, AND I WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE AIRBAGS.
AFTER A DAY OF USING THE VEHICLE IN RAINY CONDITIONS I TRIED TO START IT UP AND IT WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START AND BRAKE LIGHTS WOULDN'T NOT WORK WHEN PRESSED WITH THE KEY OFF THE TRUCK WAS STATIONARY AND HAD ERROR CODES AND CEL FOR FPFCM CIRCUIT FAILURE. THIS ISSUE WAS A RECALL FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL BUT MY VIN WAS EXCLUDED POSSIBLY NEGLIGENTLY. SINCE THE EVENT I ADDITIONALLY HAVE DIC MESSAGES TO CHECK THE AIR BAGS AND CHECK BRAKES

TAKATA RECALL. THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY CANNOT PROVIDE A FIX TO MY AIRBAG RECALL SINCE THE TAKATA COMPANY IS BANKRUPT. I AM NOT HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG, BUT SINCE I GOT THE RECALL NOTICE, I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET IT FIXED.
THERE IS A RECALL ON MY CHEVY SUBURBAN WHERE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS. I HAVE BEEN CHECKING FOR A LONG WHILE ON WHEN THERE WILL BE A REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL AND EVERYTIME I CHECK THERE IS NOTHING NEW STATED. THIS DEFECT DEALS WITH THE AIR BAG. A FUNCTION OF THE CAR THAT DEALS WITH SAFETY. I THINK IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG WITH THERE BEING NO INFORMATION PUT OUT ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE. PEOPLE HAVE SPENT THEIR HARD EARN MONEY ON THE PURCHASE OF AN EXPENSIVE PRODUCT AND THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE DUE TO THE MANUFACTURE. THEIR IS A BIG CRACK IN THE DASH BOARD THAT ALSO LOOKS TERRIBLE. PLEASE GET ON THIS COMPANY ABOUT NOT TAKING THE TIME TO DO WHAT'S RIGHT BY THEIR CUSTOMERS.
I'M A OWNER OF A 2008 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN AND I HAVE BEEN THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. MY DASHBOARD HAS TWO LARGE CRACKS AND THE ONE I'M MOST CONCERNED ABOUT IS THE ONE THERE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD TO LEAD TO A CATASTROPHIC INJURY IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS.
I RECEIVED A WRITTEN NOTICE THAT MY VEHICLE WAS AR RISK FOR AIR BAG FAILURE WITH ONSTRUCTIONS TO CONTACT MY DEALER TO SCHEDULE TO SCHEDULE REPAIRS. I DID AS INSTRUCTED, AND WAS ADVISED I WOULD BE CONTACTED FOR A SCHEDULED VISIT. I RECEIVED NO FOLLOW UP. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS REQESTING REPAIRS. I AM TOLD BY MANAGERS THERE THAT "NO FIX IS AVAILABLE". I NOTE REPORTS THAT OVER 1 MILLION VEHICLES HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. IT SEEMS THAT THE GM LOCAL DEALER IS EITHER UNIMFORMED, OR DELIBERATELY MISLEADING.

TAKATA RECALL MY COMPLAINT IS, THIS IS FROM MAY 2016, WHY IS THERE STILL NOT A FIX IN PLACE IF TAKATA WON'T FIX IT THEN GM SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS. IT'S NOT SAFE. MAYBE I SHOULD GET A LONER TRUCK UNTIL MINE IS FIXED. NO ONE HAS ANSWERS, CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME AN ANSWER!!

TAKATA RECALL, I RECEIVED A RECALL MAY, 2016 AND NOW I RECEIVED A LETTER NOVEMBER 2017 FOR THE SAME RECALL. IT TELLS ME TO GO TO MY DEALER AND HAVE THIS FIXED FOR FREE AND I DID TODAY 11/3/2017 AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS STILL NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE......WHY!! CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS SO IT CAN GET FIXED, I DON'T WANT TO GET IN AN ACCEDENT AND FIND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE THIS WAS NEVER TAKEN CARE OF. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM GM IN THE JUNE OR JULY 2016, TOOK THE NOTICE TO THE DEALERSHIP, CROSSROADS CHEVROLET OF JOPLIN, MO (417)626-6620, I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN TO BRING MY VEHICLE IN TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. TODAY ON 1 NOV 2017 I AGAIN CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND THIS TIME I WAS TOLD " WE HAVE NO INFORMATION ON A RECALL. " I GAVE THEM THE RECALL # FROM THE GM WEBSITE #2049152 NHTSA #16V383, I WAS THEN INFORMED THAT WAS A BULLETIN FOR HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT. AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION I WAS THEN TOLD "GM IS FIGHTING THE DECISION, SO THERE IS NOTHING AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL." INITIALLY THE VEHICLE WAS ADDED TO THE RECALL MAY 27, 2016 AND THE CONTACT JUST RECENTLY RECEIVED THE INTERIM NOTICE WITH NO ETA AS TO WHEN THE SECOND NOTICE MAY BE SENT FROM THE MANUFACTURER INDICATING THAT THE PART WAS AVAILABLE WHICH WAS UNACCEPTABLE TO THE CONTACT. TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016. I HAVE CONTACTED GM AND LOCAL DEALERS A FEW TIMES OVER THE LAST 15 MONTHS TO REQUEST THE AIRBAGS BE REPLACED BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT READY. GM'S LETTER SAYS THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE....IS THE VEHICLE SAFE OR NOT? IF IT IS SAFE THEN WHY ARE THE AIRBAGS BEING REPLACED?
I NOTICED THE DAMAGE ON YESTERDAY. THE DASH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS A CRACK FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM NEAR THE AIRBAG. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT HAS ALREADY CAUSED DAMAGE OR WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRBAG AND/OR CAUSE HARM TO A PASSENGER RIDING ON THAT SIDE. I AM SOMEWHAT CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING IT. I NOTICED IT ON YESTERDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2017. I HAVE READ QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS BY OTHERS INVOLVING DAMAGE WITH THE DASH AREA ON THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE.

WHEN THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO, SHE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND DAVIS GAINESVILLE CHEVROLET CADILLAC (2600 N MAIN ST, GAINESVILLE, FL 32609, (888) 904-6807) WHERE SHE HAS CONTINUOUSLY INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING AND IM WORRIED IT WILL AFFECT AIRBAG. IT CONTINUES TO GET LOOSER BY THE DAY.
DASH 2 CRACKS. ONE ABOVE STEERING COLUMN AND ONE AT THE TOP LEFT OF AIRBAG.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER MYRTLE BEACH CHEVROLET CADILLAC LOCATED AT 1785 HIGHWAY 501 MYRTLE BEACH SC 29577 WHERE IT DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 8-3107409216. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
THE DASH PANEL IS CRACKING VERY BADLY ON THE VEHICLE. ESPECIALLY AROUND WHERE THE AIRBAG IS SUPPOSED TO DEPLOY. CONCERNED THAT SHARP EDGES ON THE CRACKED PLASTIC WILL IMPAIR THE FUNCTION OF THE AIRBAG
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON TOOK IT IN FOR CODE RESULTS BAD FIRING ON PLUG 7. REPLACED STILL ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH AND LIGHT IS STILL ON. AFTER RESEARCH IT SEEMS THAT THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR SEEMS TO GO BAD ON THESE VEHICLES? OF COURSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY, MAKES ME WONDER IF THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL?
I OWN A VEHICLE WITH TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS. THEY HAVE BEEN UNDER RECALL SINCE 2017 AND THE RECALL HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN CARE OF BECAUSE TAKATA HAS FILED BANKRUPTCY AND GM DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION OR REMEDY APPARENTLY FOR THE RECALL!!! I NEED MY VEHICLE RECALL TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! WHO'S TO KNOW IF MY AIRBAG INFLATORS ARE COMPROMISED AND I AM ANGRY THAT GM WILL NOT STEP UP AND FIND A SOLUTION AND PAY FOR THE RECALL!! THE VEHICLE HAS HAD NUMEROUS ENGINE ISSUES AND ABNORMAL OIL CONSUMPTION. THE MOTOR HAS FAILED AT 149,000 MILES AND FOLLOWS THE PATTERN OF NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS. OIL CONSUMPTION LIFTER NOISE COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE
WHILE VEHICLE IS IN FOWARD DRIVING MOTION ON STREET OR HIGHWAY(20 - 70MPH)OUT OF NO WHERE, TRUCK WILL HAVE A QUICK SECOND HALT IN ITS MOTION, AS IF SOMEONE PULLED AND RELEASED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE(SEE ATTACH RECORDING) ALL I FEEL IS A SUDDEN JERK WHICH ITS INTENSITY DEPENDS ON TRAVELING SPEED. IT STARTLES ME EVERY TIME! DURING THIS TIME, THE SPEED GAUGE DROP THEN RESUMES REGULAR SPEED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEAR BUT IMMEDIATELY TURNS OFF AS DOES THE WORDS "PARK ASSIST OFF" ALSO DISPLAYS THEN IMMEDIATELY GOES AWAY. THESE SPORADIC EPISODE ARE BECOMING MORE FREQUENT AND COULD CAUSE TRAGIC ACCIDENT. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO HAVE ISSUE DIGNOSED BUT UNFORTUNATELY DOES NOT GENERATE CODES, ACCORDING TO ONSTAR. DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. HOWEVER THEY RECOMMENDED REPLACING THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, BRAKE LAMP SWITCH, SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, MASTER CYL AND BRAKE BOOSTER, FLUSHING AND REPLACING BRAKE FLUID FOR POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. WHAT I HAVE NOTICE THE ISSUE BECOMES MORE FREQUENT WHEN THERE IS STUDDEN BRAKING(STOP AND GO TRAFFIC) FOLLOWED BY INCREASED ACCELERATION. IN ADDITION WHILE SITTING IDLE IN PARK FOR ABOUT 10MINS WITH A/C ON, TRUCK IDLES DOWN LIKE IT IS ABOUT TO CUT OFF(ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON THEN IMMEDIATELY OFF) BUT DOESN'T . DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THAT TOO. ALSO AFTER BRAKING FOR STOP LIGHT I SOMETIMES FEEL SEVERAL THUMPS AS THOUGH I'M NOT PUTTING ENOUGH PRESSURE ON BRAKE PEDDLE. NO MATTER HOW MUCH PRESSURE I PUT ON BRAKES THE THUMPS STILL SPORADICALLY OCCUR. SOMETIME WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT IS FOLLOWED BY THE FIRST ISSUE I MEANTIONED WHEN DRIVING IS RESUMED (HAULT,ENGINE LIGHT, PARK ASSIST OFF WARNING).

AS WITH MANY SUBURBANS 2007 AND OLDER, I HAVE TWO CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD - ONE BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, THE OTHER ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I BELIEVE THIS ISSSUE IS VERY WIDE SPREAD. CAN ANYTHING BE DONE? CLEARLY ITS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE OIL GAUGE DISPLAYED ZERO. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED REPLACEMENT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND FILED A CASE. WHILE SEATED IN THE CHILD SEAT, THE CONTACT'S CHILD WAS ABLE TO PLACE A HAND INTO THE OPENING OF THE HARNESS BUCKLE AND LOOSEN THE STRAPS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
