ALSO, THERE WAS A CRACK ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD NEAR THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF NETS CAMPAIGN NUMBER: (AIR BAGS) AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE CONTACT CALLED SAX MOTOR CO. AT (701) 483-4411 (LOCATED AT 52 ST E, DICKINSON, ND 58601). THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I'M VERY CONCERNED BECAUSE I HAD MY PASSENGER AIRBAG INSPECTED BECAUSE THE LIGHT IS ON. I WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED AND THAT THERE IS A VERY HIGH CHANCE THAT IT WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY UPON IMPACT. I HAVE TO PAY OUT MY POCKET OR RIDE AROUND WITH A NON OPERATIONAL AIRBAG BECAUSE IT'S TAKING YEARS FOR A RESOLUTION TO BE FOUND. *TR
TAKATA RECALL - GM HAS SUBMITTED TO NHTSA A PETITION FOR INCONSEQUENTIALITY AND NHTSA HAS GRANTED GM UNTIL AUGUST 2017 TO COMPLETE ITS INVESTIGATION AND TO SUBMIT ALL DATA SUPPORTING THE PETITION. I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY VEHICLE IS PART OF THIS ISSUE AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR A RESPONSE TO CLAIM AND THE INVESTIGATION WAS TO BE COMPLETED BY 8/2017. I JUST HOPE THAT I LIVE TO SEE THIS ISSUE THROUGH SHOULD MY AIRBAG RELEASE SINCE IT COULD HAVE METAL SHRAPNEL.
TAKATA RECALL I AGAIN CONTACTED MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER, ROBBINS CHEVROLET, HUMBLE TEXAS REGARDING GETTING AIRBAGS REPLACED. SERVICE MANAGER WAS POLITE AND RESPONSIVE BUT SAID NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. GM / CHEVROLET WILL NOT ADDRESS PROBLEM. NO ACTION BY GM / CHEVROLET SINCE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED SEVERAL YEARS AGO IN SPITE OF NUMEROUS INQUIRIES.

NO POWER ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR (WINDOW, MIRROR, AND LOCK)
RECALL ON AIRBAG. HAVE MESSAGE ON DASH SAYING SERVICE AIRBAG, MY VECHILE IS AFFECTED BY THE AIRBAG RECALL AND THIS MESSAGE JUST STARTED FEW DAYS AGO NEED TO KNOW THAT SAFE.
TAKATA RECALL DASHBOARD IS CRACKING ON LEFT SIDE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH OVER A POTHOLE, THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE ELBOWS, SHOULDER, AND HEARD AN ABNORMAL RINGING NOISE IN HIS EARS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CUT THE AIR BAGS OUT WITH A KNIFE AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,728.
TAKATA INFLATORS: THE RECALL HAS A DATE ON IT ALMOST TWO YEARS OLD AND THERE IS STILL NO RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS AN ACCIDENT AND MY AIR BAG MALFUNCTIONS WHILE MY FAMILY IS IN THE CAR. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE ACCOUNTABILITY. THIS COULD CAUSE A FATALITY THAT COULD BE PREVENTED IF THE COMPANY SPENT LESS TIME WORRYING ABOUT SAVING A DOLLAR. IF THERE IS NO RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE SOON THEN I WANT CHEVY TO BUY MY TRUCK BACK.
NEVER HAD A ISSUE UNTIL TODAY, BUT MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND SO DID A MESSAGE THAT SAID, SERVICE AIRBAG ON THE MESSAGE BOARD.
TAILLIGHT/HEADLIGHT MALFUNCTION
THE ENTIRE DASH IS CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES AND SHARDS OF PLASTIC COME OFF EASILY WHICH DURING A CRASH OR AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT COULD CAUSE CHUNKS/SHARDS TO INJURE OR KILL SOMEONE. THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES AND GM SHOULD RECALL THIS KNOWN PROBLEM

THE PADAL WAS CHANGE 2 TIMES MY CAR ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND THE POWER ON MY CAR WILL NOT MOVE BUT CAR IS STILL RUNNING AND IT HAPPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHICH CAUSES DANGER TO ME AND MY FAMILY CAN GET IN AN ACCIDENT PEOPLE DONT DRIVE WITH ALOHA AND ME AND MY HUSBAND HAVE GOOD DRIVING RECORD THIS PROBLEM ON OUR CAR CAN CAUSE FATALLITY. CRACKED DASH AND PASSENGER AIRBAG DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE TWO (2) ESTIMATES TO REPAIR THESE PROBLEMS. THE ESTIMATES 1137.00 TO 1439.00 TO REPAIR.
TAKATA RECALL HAVE CONTACTED 2 DEALERSHIPS IN SURROUNDING AREAS AND BOTH SAY PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, WITH NO ETA ON RECEIVING THEM.
TAKATA RECALL AND CRAKED DASHBOARD IS ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL, URGING ME TO CONTACT A DEALERSHIP TO GET MY VEHICLE REPAIRED. I CONTACTED THE DEALER ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT REPAIR PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN ISSUED AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN REPAIR PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. I NOW FACE THE POSSIBILITY OF DRIVING MY CAR 900 MILES HOME FOR CHRISTMAS WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS OR PAYING SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FLY HOME AND RENT A CAR. WHILE GOING BROKE IS NOT FUN, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE HOLIDAYS, NEITHER IS DYING BECAUSE YOUR AIRBAG DECIDES YOUR TIME ON EARTH IS UP.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT OBTAINED AN ONSTAR REPORT TO SPECIFY THE DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES THAT FLASHED EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AS THE ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE AND THE AIR BAG FAILURE PROGRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS). TAKATA RECALL: UPON RECEIVING INITIAL NOTICE OF THE RECALL IN 2016, TWO CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS IN AND NEAR BIRMGINGHAM, HENDRICKS AND EDWARDS BOTH STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO HONOR THE RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS PENDING. UPON RECENT RECEIPT OF THE TK HOLDINGS CHAPTER 11 NOTICE, BOTH DEALERSHIPS ARE STILL STATING THEY ARE UNABLE TO HONOR THE RECALL. EVEN THOUGH THE LETTER AND RECALL NOTICE STATE TO IMMEDIATELY REMEDY A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE ISSUE THROUGH A FREE REPLACEMENT AT A MANUFACTURER'S DEALERSHIPS, ALL SUCH DEALERSHIPS ARE STATING THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND ARE UNWILLING TO SCHEDULE A REPLACEMENT. AGAIN, THE DEALERSHIPS IN QUESTIONS SPECIFICALLY ARE EDWARDS CHEVY IN BIRMINGHAM, AND HENDRICK'S CHEVROLET IN HOOVER.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED HOLLY CHEVROLET AT (870) 739-7337 (66011 I-55, MARION, AR 72364) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR THE AIR BAGS WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

TAKADA RECALL RECEIVED NOTICE ABOUT CHAPTER 11 ADVISING CONTACTING CHEVY DEALER; WHEN DOING SO DEALER BRUSHES IT OFF AND ADVISES THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CHAPTER 11 NOTICE. THIS IS 3RD TIME CONTACTING ABOUT BUT STILL NO ACTION. PLEASE ADVISE WHY!!!!!
