TOP OF FUEL PUMP ROTTING AWAY AND LEAKING FUEL AND FUMES. LED INST. CLUSTER NOT WORKING, UNABLE TO EST, MILEAGE OR ANY ENGINE INFO THAT IS POSTED. NOT A MOVING PART NOT RELEGATED TO WEAR AND TEAR. SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE BLANK AS ODOMETER IS A MANDATED ITEM IN A VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL... I'VE BEEN IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, I EVEN HAVE WARNING LIGHTS ON THAT SAYS SERVICE AIRBAG. GM TOLD ME THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL? I WOULD LIKE IT FIXED AS THERE IS A RECALL!!

THE CONTACT CALLED MISSION BAY CHEVROLET (2111 MORENA BLVD, SAN DIEGO, CA 92110; (619) 276-6171) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I OWN A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, I HAD TO REPLACE THE DASHBOARD DUE TO CRACKING. THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AND BROKEN AGAIN - ALL OVER. THE VENT HAS BROKEN AND FALLEN IN, THERE ARE CRACKS AROUND THE AIRBAG AND THERE ARE COMPLETE HOLES WHERE PIECES HAVE BROKEN AND FALLEN INTO THE DASH. I LOVE MY CAR AND THIS IS THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE WITH IT. I JUST CALLED THE DEALER TO REPLACE THE DASHBOARD AND WAS QUOTED $1,300.00 WHICH I CAN NOT AFFORD. ACCORDING TO THE INTERNET THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE, CHEVROLET NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND FIX THIS ISSUE.
IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE DASH WAS CRACKED IN TWO SPOTS WHILE CLEANING THE VEHICLE. ONE OF THE CRACKS IS LOCATED NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHILE THE OTHER LARGER CRACK IS IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER. NOTHING WAS DONE TO CAUSE THE CRACK. MY WIFE AND I DO NOT USE ARMOR ALL ON THE DASH, WE HAVE NOT PLACED ANYTHING HEAVY ON THE DASH, WE DO NOT PLACE FEET ON THE DASH, WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE DASH TO CRACK. OUR CONCERN IS PIECES OF THE DASH BREAKING OFF DURING A COLLISION CAUSING INJURY WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. ANOTHER CAUSE FOR CONCERN IS THE CRACKING GETTING WORSE CAUSING HOLES IN THE DASH, EXPOSING THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS UNDER THE DASH.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED. IT STARTED WITH A SMALL CRACK AND NOW IT'S FROM ON END TO THE OTHER.
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2007 CHEVY TAHOE IS CRACKED. THE CRACK RUNS FROM THE HUMP OVER THE STEERING COLUMN AND
I SEE THAT THERE IS AN OUTSTANDING RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE, I HAVE 3 SMALL CHILDREN AND CANNOT RISK DRIVING THEM IN A VEHICLE THAT HAS ISSUES WITH THE AIRBAGS. WHAT CAN BE DONE AS I AM PAYING AND DRIVING THIS VEHICLE THAT IS POTENTIALLY DEADLY IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. THE RECALL # IS 16V381. I KEEP SEEING THAT THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS DANGER TO MY FAMILY.
DASHBOARD CRACKED IN TWO PLACES - ABOVE LEFT SIDE OF PASSENGER AIRBAG AND TO LEFT OF STEERING WHEEL. I DO NO KNOW THE EXACT MOMENT THE CRACKS APPEARED. I KNOW THEY WERE NOT PRESENT TWO MONTHS AGO WHEN I LAST CLEANED THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR. THIS CAR IS KEPT IN A GARAGE OR PARKED IN THE SHADE WHENEVER IT ISN'T ON THE ROAD. I ALSO USE A SUN SCREEN WHEN PARKED IN OPEN PARKING LOTS FOR BRIEF PERIODS. THIS DID NOT OCCUR BECAUSE OF UV DEGRADATION. IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT I AM CONCERNED THAT THE PLASTIC WILL SHATTER, BEING ONE MORE THING TO CAUSE INJURY. I HAVE ATTACHED A PICTURE OF THE CRACK ABOVE MY STEERING WHEEL. THE DASH IS ACTUALLY GRAY THOUGH IT APPEARS GREEN.
VEHICLE HAS SIGNIFICANT AND EXTENSIVE CRACKING OF THE FRONT DASHBOARD, ESPECIALLY OVER THE INSTRUMENT CONSOLE, DUE TO AN ENGINEERING DESIGN FLAW IN THE 2007-2013 MODELS. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE DASHBOARD WILL CRACK AND SPLINTER, CAUSING POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PLASTIC SHARDS TO BE DIRECTED AT THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE AT TIME OF IMPACT, OR POSSIBLY RUPTURING DEPLOYED AIRBAGS, RENDERING THEM USELESS.

CRACKS ARE BEGINNING TO FORM ON THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD - ONE ABOVE THE SPEEDOMETER, THE OTHER ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE AS WELL AS THE LIGHTING WHERE THE RADIO WAS LOCATED. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE AIR VENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 155,120.
THE DIGITAL INFORMATION CENTER (DIC) LOCATED IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) HAS STOPPED WORKING. HOWEVER, ALL OF THE NON-DIGITAL GAUGES SUCH AS SPEEDOMETER, FUEL, ETC STILL WORK PROPERLY. ALL OF THE DIGITAL DISPLAYED INFO SUCH AS ODOMETER, GEAR SELECT, MPG, TIRE PSI, ETC, IS NO LONGER VISISBLE. THIS DEFECT/MALFUNCTION OCCURRED UNEXPECTEDLY ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. THE DEFECT/MALFUNCTION OCCURED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED (NOT MOVING) IN MY DRIVEWAY. I SIMPLY GOT IN AND TURNED THE KEY ON TO START THE ENGINE, AND THE DIC WAS NOTICEABLY BLANK. I LOOKED ON-LINE AND CALLED SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS FOR INFO REGARDING REPAIRS,, AND I QUICKLY LEARNED THAT THIS EXACT DEFECT/MALFUNCTION IS EXTREMELY COMMON AMONG 2007-2016 CHEVROLET AND GMC VEHICLES. GM SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE BY ISSUING A RECALL. ALSO, FOR NO REASON AND WITHOUT ANY CAUSE, MY DASHBOARD CRACKED ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS IS ALSO A VERY COMMON DEFECT WITH MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE MAKE/MODEL. IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO DEPLOY, WOULD THEY DEPLOY PROPERLY? AND EVEN IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY PROPERLY, IM AFRAID SHARDS OF THE PLASTIC FROM DASHBOARD WILL SHOOT ALL OVER THE CAR RESULTING IN INJURY.
I HAVE A DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD CRACK THAT BEGAN OVER DRIVER INSTRUMENT PANEL AND EXTENDS ACROSS DASH TO AND AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT IS ALSO DEFECTIVE. I AM WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY AS THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IS NOW COMPROMISED EVEN MORE BY THE CRACKED DASHBOARD THAT IS SURROUNDING IT. I AM STILL WAITING FOR AIRBAG RECALL PARTS FOR AIRBAG. IT BEGAN IN LATE SUMMER AND HAS CONTINUED TO SPREAD OVER TIME AND NOW JUST CRACKED AROUND THE AIRBAG. I FEEL OUR SAFETY IS COMPROMISED WITH A CRACK AROUND AN UNSTABLE, RECALLED AIRBAG AND I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE REFERENCE NUMBER 8-2670033882 TO REPORT THIS.
DASH IS SEVERELY CRACKED OVER STEERING COLUMN AND ALSO AROUND AIR BAG. THIS IS NOT DUE TO A CRASH OR ANY COSMETIC CHANGES TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN EXPOSED TO HIGH HEAT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME EITHER.

TAKATA RECALL I LIVE IN FLORIDA, AND HAVE THE OLDEST TAHOE ON THE LIST OF RECALLED VEHICLES. THE DEALERSHIP HERE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS TOLD ME THEY WILL NOT BE REPAIRING THE AIRBAG ANYTIME SOON, AND HAS NOT OFFERED A LOANER OR ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS.

TAKATA RECALL. GM IS NOT FIXING THIS ISSUE. HONDA REPLACED THEIR CUSTOMERS AIRBAGS. WHY ISN'T GM HELD RESPONSIBLE?
TAKATA RECALL-----I RECEIVED A LETTER ALMOST 3 MONTHS AGO THAT THERE WAS A RECALL OUT ON THE AIRBAGS IN MY TAHOE. I TOOK THE TAHOE TO THE CHEVY DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A 2ND LETTER HAVING TO DO WITH THE PARTS COMING IN??? I HAVE NOT GOTTEN THAT 2ND LETTER? I HAVE BEEN BACK 2 TIMES SINCE AND GET THE SAME RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT.. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE 2ND LETTER ABOUT THE PARTS BEING AVAILABLE TO FIX THE VEHICLE. AM I GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SOMETHING CATASTROPHIC HAPPENS?
HAD THE SMELL OF GAS WHILE DRIVING, FOUND FUEL TANK WET WITH GASOLINE. REMOVED FUEL TANK AND FOUND THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY HAD RUSTED OUT AND THE FUEL LINE FITTINGS ON THE FUEL PUMP HAD ALSO RUSTED OUT AND LEAKING. *TR
TRANSMISSION IS NOT SHIFTING AND I SEE THAT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE PARTICULARLY SUV 2007 CHEVY TAHOE THIS TRANSMISSION SHOULD BE A RECALL OR AT LEAST FIX IT WITH A LOW PRICE OF LESS THAN $500 SO WE CAN KEEP BUYING THESE TRUCKS

THE DASHBOARD HAS RANDOMLY AND SEVERELY CRACKED IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. THE MOST RECENT JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO.
MY TRUCK IS SELECTED FOR RECALL.. BUT LETTER SAYS IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE. BUT THE LETTER ALSO EXPLAINS WHAT CAN HAPPENS IF THE AIR BAGS INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES. ALSO THE INFLATOR CAN DEGRADE OVER TIME, ESPECIALLY AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE IN HOT AND HUMID REGIONS.. WELL IT'S SUMMER TIME AND THAT CAN HAPPEN IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT.. NEED MY TRUCK TAKEN ASAP..
THE DASH BOARD HAS A CRACK RIGHT NEXT TO THE AIR BAG ALSO ABOVE THE GAUGES. MY WORRY IS IF THE AIR BAG GOES OFF THE PLASTIC FROM THE DASH WILL POP UP AND PUT A HOLE IN THE AIR BAG. WHICH WILL THEN DEFLATE AND NO SERVE ITS PURPOSE. OR THAT PART OF THE DASH BOARD WILL BREAK OFF FROM THE IMPACT OF THE AIR BAG AND WILL HURT SOMEONE IN THE VEHICLE. PLEASE CONTACT. CRACKED DASH OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. VEHICLE KEPT IN IMMACULATE CONDITION BUT IT APPEARS THAT THE HEATING /COOLING CYCLE ALONG WITH SUB-PAR MATERIAL AND DESIGN MAY BE CREATING A HUGE PROBLEM FOR A GREAT MANY OF TAHOE OWNERS. THE INITIAL CRACK WAS NOTICED DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND OVER A PERIOD OF TWO-THREE WEEKS IT PROGRESSED FROM THE SEAM BETWEEN THE TWO DASH PANELS TOWARDS THE DRIVERS POSITION. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN WRECK, ABUSED, OR TAKEN OFF ROAD. UNKNOWN EXACTLY WHEN OR WHAT CAUSED THE DASH TO START CRACKING BUT IT SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM WHICH CAN CAUSE A SAFETY ISSUE ALONG WITH A DECREASED VALUE OF THESE VEHICLES DUE TO POOR QUALITY. LOVE THE TRUCK BUT THE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT ARE VERY POOR.

DASH BOARD HAS CRACKED OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IT STARTED AFTER A WARM DAY AND THE A/C WAS TURNED ON. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN I HEARD THE CRACK. IT HAD BEEN PARKED IN A PARKING LOT. THE CRACK HAS GRADUALLY EXTENDED TOWARD THE ARCH OVER THE INSTRUMENTS.

TAKATA RECALL....RECEIVED NOTICE BACK ON JULY 2016 ABOUT A GM RECALL ON THE AIR BAGS ON MY VEHICLE. TO THIS DATE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED ON THE RECALL AND I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE. 16 MONTHS IS LONG ENOUGH TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS VERY UNSAFE SITUATION.
WHEN I BEGAN MY MONDAY MORNING, IT WAS JUST AS ANY OTHER KENTUCKY MONDAY UNTIL I UNLOCKED MY BABY (2007 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ) AND NOTICED A VERY LARGE CRACK THAT APPEARED OVERNIGHT!! NOT ONLY IS THE CRACK ABOVE MY INSTRUMENT PANEL BUT ON BOTH SIDES OF MY PASSENGER AIRBAG! I AM BEYOND SICK. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE LIKE THIS WITH ANY OTHER CHEVY'S I HAD. AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE GREAT TRACK RECORD OF MY OTHER CHEVYS IS WHY I PLACED CONFIDENCE WHEN PURCHASING THIS, MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL! I REACHED OUT, IN PERSON TO MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER, AND WITH LEG PROPPED UP, TIRED AND HOT LOOK ON HIS FACE I WAS INFORMED IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, THE VEHICLE WAS OVER 5 YEARS OLD. ASKING TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER SEEMED TO REALLY INCONVENIENCE THIS GUY, SO AFTER A CLOSED DOOR MEETING BETWEEN MR. TOO HAPPY TO BE HERE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER, I GOT A VERY "REHEARSED" SPILL ABOUT HOW THIS IS AN OLD VEHICLE AND UNLESS GMC TELLS THEM TO FIX IT, THEY AREN'T GOING TO FIX IT! EVEN THOUGH HE ACKNOWLEDGED THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. (FYI I NEVER LOST MY COOL AND WAS HOPING THE CORDIAL, BUSINESS MANNER I PROJECTED WOULD HAVE BEEN RECIPROCATED.....WRONG!) RESPONSE IS "SORRY, WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR IT." I AM SICK OF THIS RUN AROUND AND TIRED OF THE EXCUSES! YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM CHARGING CONSUMERS FOR VEHICLES THAT MOST TIMES COST THE SAME AS A SMALL HOME!
