Bridgestone Dueler H/L P275/60R20 Alenza had a slow leak for about a year that I couldn't find. Today the sidewall completely brew out on the highway at 70 mph. There was no curb rash or noticeable physical damage anywhere on the sidewall prior to the sidewall failure.
Brand new tires installed on vehicle by Americas Tire store on 7/29/24. Received a phone call from our son 7/30/24 7pm of complete tire blow out on hwy. Lost control of vehicle but managed to pull off hwy where he proceeded to contact us as well as AAA. Took back in to Americas Tire said they would replace tire but had no explanation as to why this happened on a brand new tire. According to AAA a lot of tire manufacturers cutting corners producing defective tires.
WAS DRIVING AND WHEN EXITING FREEWAY. TRUCK STARTED SHAKING REALLY BAD AND TRACTION /STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. ENGIEN LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND OFF FOR ABOUT A YEAR. ALL THEY DO IS RESET SYSTEM AND COMES RIGHT BACK ON A FEW DAYS LATER. IT BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF. BOUGHT IT IN 06 AND PAID IT OFF IN 08. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN GIVING ME MANY PROBLEM SINCE 09. I EVEN HAVE A CRAKE ON DASH BOARD ALL THE WAY TO AIR BAG SINCE 08. DEALER SAID NO RECALLS AND IS DUE TO SUN! BULL.... I HAVE BEEN READING ON-LINE AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE SIMALIER PROBLEMS. *TR

RIGHT AT 2000 I NOTICED MY TIRES IN FRONT FEATHERING, CHEVROLET REFUSED TO REPLACE THEM, AND DEALERSHIP SAID TO ROTATE, NOW, THEY WANT ME TO PUT THE REAR TIRES ON FRONT, TO ONLY DO THE SAME THING, NOW I HAVE OVER 6,000 MILES, AND ALREADY NEED NEW TIRES ON FRONT AS THEY WERE HORRIBLE AND GETTING VERY CHOPPY. IT WAS SAD FOR CHEVROLET TO IGNORE THIS. *AK
UPON NOTIFICATION BY ONSTAR TO ROTATE MY TIRES, AT 6500 MILES. I HAD THEM ROTATED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND NOTED THAT THE FRONT TIRES WERE "FEATHERED" (WEARING INCORRECTLY DUE TO SOME CHAMBER OR CASTER SETTING BEING INCORRECT). THE DEALER SAID HE HAD SEEN WORSE TIRE FEATHERING ON 07 TAHOE'S AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRAVELING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE'S REAR PASSENGER TIRE DROVE OVER A NAIL AND LOST AIR PRESSURE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS NOTICED THAT A DIME SIZE PIECE OF RUBBER WAS MISSING ALONG THE MIDDLE OF THE TREAD. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO A TIRE REPAIR SHOP, WHO REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE TIRE WITH A FULL SIZE SPARE. THE CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND DETERMINED THAT THE CONTACT COULD HAVE HIT AN OBJECT ON THE ROAD, CAUSING THE TREAD SEPARATION. THE SERVICE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, AND PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT EXPRESSED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, IF A PIECE OF TIRE RIPPED OFF SO EASILY. THE TIRE WAS A BRIDGESTONE DUELER 684, SIZE: P265/70R17.
AT 3700 MILES NOTICED FRONT TIRES WERE FEATHERING. AFTER VISITING DEALER AND QUESTIONING THEY ASKED IF I HAD TIRES ROTATED? I EXPLAINED THE MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE WAS TOO LOW SO THEY SUGGESTED ROTATING AND COMING BACK. ALSO, WINDOW TRIM ON 2 REAR WINDOWS COMING OFF SINCE FIRST DAY OF OWNERSHIP, RECENTLY BEEN TOLD THIS IS A RECALL AND A KNOWN PROBLEM.
