THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS THAT TAKATA FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY DASH IS CRACKED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OVER THE STIRRING WHEEL. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
TAKATA RECALL I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE DATED JULY 2016 ABOUT THIS RECALL. I AM TOLD THERE IS NO RESOLUTION AS OF YET. WHY??? HOW LONG WILL ALL PARTIES INVOLVED WITH ISSUE BE ALLOWED TO STALL AND FORGO THE RIGHT COURSE OF ACTION THAT IS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLES AFFECTED. MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE BEING PUT AT RISK NEEDLESSLY BY THIS COURSE OF INACTION !! I RESPECTFULLY LOG THIS COMPLAINT ON NOVEMBER 23 2017.
TAKATA RECALL: ON 11/14/2017 I LEARNED THAT I CAN NOT SELL OR TRADE MY 2098 CHEVY TAHOE DUE TO THIS RECALL. FURTHERMORE GM DISTRICT MANAGER TOLD ME THERE IS NO FIX AND I WILL BE STUCK WITH MY VEHICLE UNTIL A SOLUTION IS FOUND. THEREFOR I WILL LOOSE MONEY ON THE VALUE OF MY VEHICLE. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION THAT GM HAS FAULTY DASHBOARDS THAT CRACK, ESPECIALLY IN 2008 CHEVY TAHOE. GM HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS FLAW BUT IT'S NOT A RECALL BECAUSE NO ONE HAS BEEN INJURED OR KILLED YET DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE DASHBOARDS. I FOUND ONLINE A NEWS REPORTER NAMED ANDY WISE WHO INVESTED THIS CASE AND HAS ALL PROOFS AS HE CAN NOT REPORT A NEWS INVESTIGATION WITHOUT ATTORNEY REVIEW. HE WAS ABLE TO GET HIS CLIENT A FREE DASHBOARD REPLACED. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND PLAYED THE VIDEO FOR THE A SERVICE MANAGER AND HE CONTACTED THE DISTRICT MANAGER. GM ALREADYVHAS AN OPEN CAR CLAIM FOR MY VEHICLE. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER TONIGHT WHO CLAIMS HE IS GIVING ME A GIFT BY PAYING FOR 50% OF THE REPAIR COST. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY A DIME. YOU SHOULD HAVE MANY REPORTS ON FILE ABOUT CRACK GM OR CHEVY DASHBOARDS. IT WAS TONIGHT I LEARNED I CAN'T EVEN DO A THING U TIL MYBAIRBAG RECALL IS RESOLVED AND UNTIL THAT TIME I AM STUCK WITH A VEHICLE LOSING DEPRECIATION VALUE EVERY DAY. PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND HELP US ALL OUT.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2008 TAHOE IS CRACKED AND HAS BECOME AN ISSUE BECAUSE THE CRACKS HAVE MADE IT TO MY PASSENGER AIRBAG AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT . I WOULDN'T WANT PLASTIC FLYING EVERYWHERE AND POTENTIALLY KILL SOMEONE.

TAKATA RECALL. MY DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG HAS A RECALL AND THE DEALER TELLS ME THERE IS AN INCOMPLETE REMEDY AND SO THEY CANNOT REPLACE MY AIR BAG. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE YET.

TAKATA RECALL GM WAS GRANTED A PETITION FOR DEFERRAL TO INVESTIGATE AIRBAGS ON MY 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. PER GM'S OWN WEBSITE HIS PETITION EXPIRED IN SEPTEMBER 2017. AS OF TODAY 26 OCTOBER 2017, GM HAS APPARENTLY NOT TAKEN ACTION ON THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL NO ONE CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. CASE REFERENCE: NHTSA 1153284 1. GM HAD 2+ YEARS TO INVESTIGATE THE AIRBAG THEY PUT IN MY VEHICLE. MY QUESTION IS: WHY NHTSA WOULD ALLOW THEM A TIME EXTENSION UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR 2017. THEIR TIME TO INVESTIGATE WAS GRANTED AN EXTENSION BY NHTSA AS PER MY CALL TO NHTSA 2. AS THE AIR BAG ON MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED IN THE 10 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP (CONTAINS ORIGINAL AIRBAGS INSTALLED IN THE GM JANESVILLE WI PLANT, NEVER TOUCHED INTERNALLY AS THE STEERING WHEEL HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED OR THE DASHBOARD TAKEN APART ). MY QUESTION IS: THE TK HOLDINGS CARD STATES: "IF YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND IS UNDER RECALL, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR." WHEN DEALER WAS CONTACTED, HE IS STILL WAITING FOR GM TO FINISH THE INVESTIGATION AND CAN NOT REPLACE THE AIRBAG UNDER THE RECALL. WHICH IS TRUE? I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER THREE TIMES SINCE THIS RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO GUIDANCE OR PARTS FROM GM YET.ONE AND A HALF YEARS LATER AND THEY STILL HAVE NO REMEDY? HONDA ALREADY HAS PARTS FOR THEIR TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL AVAILABLE AT THE DEALER. GM SHOULD BE TAKEN TO TASK FOR HAVING NO REMEDY AFTER THIS LENGTH OF TIME. THEY SHOULD AT THE VERY LEAST REMOVE THESE DANGEROUS AIR BAGS FROM OUR CARS IMMEDIATELY.

TAKATA INFLATORS. I WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS THAT MY VEHICLE WAS PART OF THE RECALL. EVERYTIME I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER I WAS TOLD THERE WAS BE REMEDY IT THIS TIME. IT SEEMS THAT GM IS HOLDING OUT IN PERFORMING THE RECALL ON A LARGE AMOUNT OF THEIR CONSUMERS. THIS HASENT BEEN FIXED IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO PREPARE AND COMPLETE THE RECALL THEY ARE JUST DRAGGING IT OUT. MY WIFE AND I ARE NOW STUCK WITH A VEHICLE THAT COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE BODILY HARM OR DEATH. WE CAN'T EVEN SELL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE OPEN RECALL AND WITHOUT GM FIXING THE RECALL PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE THAT COULD POSSIBLY KILL THEM. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT GM IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND PERFORM THE RECALL AS SOON 🔜 AS POSSIBLE. AND IF FOR SOME REASON THEY CAN'T PERFORM THE RECALL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THEY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY RETRIBUTION TO THOSE THAT ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. TAKATA RECALL, I REACHED OUT TO MY NEAREST CHEVROLET DEALER(JIM ELLIS) AND I WENT THERE TO GET THE REPAIR DONE BUT THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL ONCE THEY RECEIVED THE PART. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD MAIL OUT AN APPOINTMENT BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING TO DATE.

THE DEALER (JIM KERAS CHEVROLET, 2110 COVINGTON PIKE, MEMPHIS, TN, 38128) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WE BOUGHT A 2008 CHEVY TAHOE & THE DASH IS CRACKED NEAR THE AIRBAG LIKE MANY OTHERS & A BRAND NEW CRACK HAS HAPPENED ABOVE THE CLUSTER AREA. WE ALSO PURCHASED THE WARRANTY WHEN WE BOUGHT IT BUT GM WILL NOT COVER IT.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO DEALER WHEN THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. THEY CHECKED AND SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. THEY CHARGED ME TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG. THIS HAPPEN WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE FIRST , THEN ONE MONTH LATER THE SERVICE LIGHT FOR THE AIRBAG CAME ON AGAIN . THEY NOW STATED IT WAS FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE. $822.00**
MY COMPLAINT TOWARDS MY 2008 CHEVY TAHOE HYBRID IS WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCKS STALLS, TWICE ALREADY WHILE DRIVING OFF A PARKING LOT ONTO THE STREET IT HAS SHUT OFF ON ME. IS GETTING TO A POINT THAT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT, I TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY PLACE THEY KEPT IT FOR 8-10 THROUGH 8/17, PICK IT UP AND THE VERY NEXT DAY THE TRUCK BEGAN STALLING, DROPPED IT OFF ON A MONDAY 8/21, CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON FRIDAY 8/25 AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIX IT BUT THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP IT OVER THE WEEKEND TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO. I LOVE MY TRUCK BUT AFRAID OF IT...I FEEL I AM RISKING MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF THE OTHER DRIVERS WHILE I AM ON THE RODE.

TAKATA RECALL: THE AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN UNDER A RECALL FOR YEARS BUT THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY.
TWO DASHBOARD CRACKS ON 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE, 1 OF WHICH IS DIRECTLY GOING TO PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. IF THIS AIRBAG IS TO BE DEPLOYED, IT WILL SEND THE PIECES OF THIS DASH FLYING THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THESE IDENTICAL CRACKS ON THESE GENERATION VEHICLES WITH NO SUPPORT FROM GM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
SHORTLY AFTER MY 2008 WARRANTY EXPIRED I NOTICED THAT THE INTERIOR DASHBOARD BEGAN CRACKING IN VARIOUS PLACES AND I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MANY OF THE PARTS IN THIS VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY ARE NOT CHEAP PARTS. AFTER MY LAST PART EPISODE, I DECIDED TO LOOK UP A COMMON THEME ONLINE; ONLY TO DISCOVER THERE ARE MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE THE SAME ISSUES THAT I AM HAVING. HOWEVER, THE CRACKED DASHBOARD IS MORE SERIOUS BECAUSE IT HOUSES THE DEFECTED TAKATA AIRBAG THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME ON REPLACING THAT ISSUE EITHER. THE DASH BOARD FIRST CRACKED IN JULY 2011 AND ANOTHER CRACKED OCCURRED IN JULY 2017. I USE A DASH COVER TO PROTECT MY VEHICLE FROM HEAT; HOWEVER, NOTHING SEEM TO STOP THE DASH FROM CRACKING AND THE INTERIOR PARTS FROM FALLING A PART.

REDUCED POWER TO ENGINE WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY
TAPPING NOISE IN LIFTERS DEVELOPED AT FIVE DAYS AGO. VEHICLE MILEAGE IS 58,000 MILES. CHEVY DEALER INFORMED US THE REPAIR WOULD BE $4,000-$5000. WE HAVE COMPLETE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR RECORDS ON THE VEHICLE AND PURCHASED IT NEW IN NOVEMBER 2007. WE ARE THE ONLY OWNERS
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING ALL OVER, AND THERE IS EVEN A HOLE WHERE IT CRACKED SO BAD THAT A PIECE FELL OFF. I BELIEVE THIS IS A COMMON DEFECT AND THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY 08 TAHOE'S INSTRUMENT PANEL AND GAUGES ARE FAILING TO WORK AT TIMES. MY SPEED GAUGE, GAS AND RPM GAUGE JUST STOPPED WORKING. THEY STARTED BACK, BUT I THINK IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT I WAS DRIVING IT WHEN IT HAPPENED. I AM JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT AND REPORT THE PROBLEM. THE OIL GAUGE NEVER CAME BACK ON, IS THERE ANYWAY YOU SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS ISSUE? I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN EVERYTHING STARTED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED NOTICE IN 2016 CONCERNING THE RECALL OF THE TAKATA AIRBAGS. THE NOTICE CAME FROM GM. SINCE THE INITIAL LETTER, I HAVE RECEIVED NO FOLLOW UP ON THE RECALL. NOW I HAVE RECEIVED A NOTICE OF A LAWSUIT INVOLVING TAKATA. THEY STILL HAVE NOT REPLACED THE AIRBAGS AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY COMMUNICATION FROM GM. ABOUT REPLACING THE AIRBAGS.
