LARGE CRACKS ON DRIVER AND PASSENGERS SIDES OF THE FRONT DASH. VEHICLE ALWAYS GARAGE KEPT AND TAKEN CARE OF. WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL? I HAVE READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME PROBLEM.
DASHBOARD AROUND AIRBAG CRACKING INTO PIECES EXPOSING INTERNAL COMPONENTS. NO ACCIDENTS, WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE. ON LINE SEARCH SHOWS " COMMON PROBLEM". LEFT AND RIGHT DASH CRACKS THRU AND THRU PLASTIC.
DASHBOARD CRACKED. CONCERNED THAT IN CASE OF COLLISION, SHARP EDGES WILL BE BROADCAST INTO PASSENGER'S COMPARTMENT.

TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE RECALL OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY 2010 CHEVY TAHOE.
TAKATA RECALL - NO REMEDY HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED BY THE MANUFACTURER. I VERIFIED THAT MY CAR WAS INVOLVED IN THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AND FOUND AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP (HENDRIX CHEVROLET IN HOOVER, AL _ AND SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. UPON ARRIVAL I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE AIRBAG BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT DETERMINED A COURSE OF REMEDY.

TAKATA RECALL I JUST NOTICE A CRACK ON THE LEFT TOP SIDE OF MY DASHBOARD A DAY AFTER I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO GET SERVICE AT BICAL CHEVROLET DEALER. I RETURN TO GET ANSWERS AND THE DEALER TOLD ME IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THESE TYPE OF VEHICLE AND THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR. I CALL CHEVROLET GM (CASE # 8-2129107909) AND THEY TOLD ME THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME HEARING ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND WILL NO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. PERSONALLY I THINK THIS IS WRONG AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL OR SOME TYPE OF REPAIR FOR VEHICLES THAT ARE CURRENTLY CRACK IN THE SAME PLACES ON THE DASHBOARD ESPECIALLY LONG SIDE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT MY DASHBOARD WHERE I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
DASHBOARD NEAR WINDSHIELD IS CRACKING AND MAKING NOISE. IT'S THE PANEL NEAR THE WINDSHIELD INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND GOES AROUND THE AIR BAG. THE MATERIAL USED TO MAKE THE PANEL IS WEAK AND MAY EXPLODE IF AIRBAG GOES OFF ON PASSENGER SIDE.
2010 TAHOE LTZ DASH IS CRACKING ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE AIRBAG SITE. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER TIME, THE DASHBOARD BOUNCES UP AND DOWN EVEN ON SMOOTH ROADS.
CHEVROLET TAHOE 2010 25780 MILES ON VEHICLE.OWNED SINCE NEW. CRACKING DASHBOARD. DASH CRACKED AT CORNER OF PASSENGER AIRBAG AND ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL. PLASTIC AT CRACKS IS SHAPE AND A SAFETY HAZARD. IF AIR DEPLOYS, UNSURE IF REMAINDER OF DASH WITH COME APART EXPOSING OCCUPANTS TO FLYING OR IMPACTING SHARP SHARDS OF PLASTIC.
TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE OVER A YEAR AGO. I CALL THE DEALER ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND TO DATE, THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE AN ETA FOR A FIX. MY WIFE IS UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING HER TAHOE AND SINCE THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL, OUR RESALE VALUE IS IMPACTED AS WELL.
TAHOE DASH IS CRACKING IN TWO SPOTS. THE FIRST IS ON THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. A VERY DANGEROUS SPOT FOR A JAGGED EDGE TO BE NEXT TO AN AIRBAG. THE 2ND IS A MUCH LARGER CRACK IN THE DASH THAT APPEARED A YEAR LATER OVER THE INSTRUMENT HUMP. I SEE MANY CASES OF TAHOE'S AND SUBURBAN'S ONLINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN I SEE ANOTHER TAHOE IN A PARKER LOT, I ALWAYS CHECK, AND 9 OUT OF 10 TIMES THEY HAVE THE SAME CRACKS IN THE SAME SPOTS. WHEN I CALLED GM THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO BE LOOKED OUT. THE DEALERSHIP QUOTED ME $500 TO FIX. IT'S TIME FOR CHEVROLET TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY MESSED UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.
CRACKED DASH COULD AFFECT THE SAFETY OF THE AIRBAGS
BRAKE WARNING AND STABILITRAX WARNING CUT OFF. LEARNED FROM MECHANIC THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD. OUR MECHANIC SEES THIS REGULARLY AND BELIEVES SOMEONE NEEDS TO REVIEW THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM. I HAVE 78,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE BUT MY SON-IN-LAW'S GMC P/U HAS 38,000 MILES AND HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. AS I UNDERSTAND THE SEAL BREAKS AND FLUID IS DRAINING INTO THE BOOT. IS THERE ANY CONCERN AT THIS TIME WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM COMPLETELY FAILING DUE TO THE PROBLEMS WITH THESE MASTER CYLINDERS? ONCE AGAIN, OUR MECHANIC SEES THESE FAILURES REGULARLY AND BELIEVES GMC NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE.
MY 2010 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK IN THE DASH. THE CRACK IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, RIGHT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, WHERE THE DASH PANELS MEET IN THE MIDDLE. THE VEHICLE HAS 64K MILES ON IT, HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED WITH CHEMICALS ON THE DASH, HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS, AND IS GARAGE KEPT. THE DEALER HAS STATED THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED BY A RECALL, BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY (STILL VALID), OR THE EXTRA PROTECTION PACKAGE THAT I PURCHASED. NO OTHER OPTIONS WERE OFFERED BY THE DEALER. THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY CONCERN SINCE THE DASH PLASTIC IS HARD, IS CRACKING WITH SHARP EDGES, AND COULD BECOME A PROJECTILE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH OR AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. THE CRACK WAS OBSERVED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.
MY 2010 WITH 80,000 MILES HAS A CRACKED DASH. A CRACK ABOVE THE GAGE AN ONE THAT I'M REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT ATTACHED TO MY AIRBAG. IN DOING SOME RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS CRACKING IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR GM OWNERS FROM THE YEAR 07-13! MY CONCERN IS IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY THAT THE PLASTIC WOULD BE SENT FLYING AN HURT PASSENGERS. GM HAS HAD MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AN HELPS SOME PEOPLE AN NOT OTHERS! I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AN SHOULD BE RECALLED.
TAKATA RECALL - MY SRS LIGHT CAME ON IN MY TRUCK STATING THAT MAINTENANCE NEEDED TO BE PREFORMED. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, MY DASH CRACKED IN FRONT OF THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO ANYONE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT.
THERE ARE STRESS CRACKS IN A FAULTY DASHBOARD THAT HAS HAD NO BLUNT FORCE. THESE CRACKS ARE LOCATED AT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT OUTDOORS IN THE COOL AIR, AND THE CRACKS APPEARED SOMETIME AFTER THE DEFROSTER OR POSSIBLY THE HEAT OF THE DAY WARMED THE VEHICLE
OUT OF NOWHERE A 1 1/2 INCH WIDE PIZZA-SHAPED CRACK APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD OVER THE MAIN INSTRUMENT CONSOLE JUST OFF CENTER TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH. WE'VE LIVED IN VERY HOT CLIMATE(VISALIA,CA) WITH EXTREMES FROM 110 DEGREES DOWN TO 32 DEGREES AND LESS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A DASHBOARD CRACK OCCUR, INCLUDING OUR PREVIOUSLY OWNED 2002 CHEVY TAHOE. IT'S NOW COVERED WITH A DASH CARPET. SURE HOPE OUR SAFETY ISN'T COMPROMISED. OUR VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
XM RADIO, ANTENNA, THE WIRE FROM THE ROOF MOUNT TO THE RADIO BOX, BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX, GOT RUSTED AND SHORTED OUT THE RADIO. I TOOK IT TO DRIVER'S VILLAGE, IN CICERO NEW YORK, 13039, THEY SAID IT WOULD COST ME $600.00 TO PUT IN A NEW ANTENNA, SO I WENT OUT TO BEST BUY AND GOT THEM TO INSTALL A NEW RADIO..
THE DASH AT THE CORNER OF MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG CRACKED AND NOW THE ENTIRE DASH RATTLES. I AM WORRIED ABOUT HOW THIS AFFECTS THE AIRBAG NOW. THE DASH WAS VIBRATING SO MUCH AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND APPARENTLY, I AM NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP!
THREE LARGE (AND GROWING) CRACKS IN MY DASHBOARD. ONE AROUND THE HOUSING OF THE AIRBAG. THE OTHER TWO ARE ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. VERY CONCERNED THAT IF AIR BAG DEPLOYS, DASH MATERIAL FROM BROKEN PIECE MAY BECOME A PROJECTILE OR PUNCTURE THE AIRBAG NOT ALLOWING IT TO WORK. I SEE GM SAYS IT IS A KNOW DESIGN DEFECT BUT THERE IS NO RECALL. CHEVROLET DEALER TOLD ME IT IS #1 REPAIRED ITEM ON TAHOE.
PURCHASED VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2015. DID NOT SEE A CRACK AT TIME OF PURCHASE. WAS WIPING DOWN THE DASH ONE DAY AND NOTICED A SMALL CRACK UP THE CENTER OF THE STEERING COLUMN. THAT WAS MID JANUARY. HAS NOW CRACKED FROM THE MIDDLE ABOVE THE STEERING COLUMN ACROSS THE DASH TO THE LEFT SIDE CORNER OF THE AIR BAG COMPARTMENT. DASH IS UNSTABLE. CONCERNED IT WILL CAUSE AIRBAG TO GO OFF PREMATURELY. IF IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY COULD SEND PIECES INTO PASSENGERS LIKE SHRAPNEL.
THE DASH IS CRACKED IN TWO LOCATION AND THE CRACKS ARE SPREADING. THE CRACKS STARTED FORMING WITHOUT ANY INCIDENT (NO CRASH).
THE DASHBOARD HAS 2 CRACKS IN IT THAT RANDOMLY SHOWED UP, 1 IN AT THE TOP LEFT CORNER ON THE PASENGER SIDE BY THE AIR BAG AND THE OTHER THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE DRIVERS SIDE ABOVE THE INSTUMENT PANEL AND ITS GETTING LARGER BY THE DAY.
CRACKED DASHBOARD. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE GM FAILS TO ACKNOWLEDGE. THE DANGER IS THE PLASTIC SHATTERING IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS AND BECAUSE OF THE MATERIAL DEFECT IN THE PLASTIC, LARGE SHARP SHARDS CAN BE SHOT INTO THE CABIN AREA IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS (SHRAPNEL).
THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT INTERIOR CHROME DOOR HANDLE HAS BEGUN PEELING WHICH RESULTS IN A SHARP EDGE ON THE DOOR HANDLE WHICH RESULTS IN MINOR CUTS ON HUMAN HANDS WHEN A PERSON PULLS ON THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE EXPERIENCED WITH 2007 CHEVY TAHOE WHICH RESULTED IN NHTSA EA 10004. NHTSA EA 10004 RESULTED IN CHEVROLET EXTENDING WARRANTY ON THIS ISSUE FOR 100,000 MILES OR 10 YEARS. I CONTACTED CHEVROLET ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH 2010 TAHOE AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON THIS MODEL WITHOUT NHTSA ENFORCEMENT. THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT HANDLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN 2012. GM FIXED THAT HANDLE FOR FREE BECAUSE CAR WAS UNDER 36,000 MILE / 3 YEAR WARRANTY. ONLINE SEARCH REVEALS THAT OTHER POST- 2007 MODEL TAHOE OWNERS ARE HAVING SAME ISSUE. SINCE ISSUE IS WITH DOOR HANDLE, VEHICLE IS STATIONARY WHEN DOOR HANDLE IS USED.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKING ON BOTH SIDES WHERE TOP VENT MEETS CORNERS. THERE WAS NO INCIDENT TO CAUSE THIS, AND THE CRACKS HAVE GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS. MAKES HORRIFIC SCREECHING NOISE WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION. MAKES ME WONDER IF AIR BAGS WOULD DEPLOY CORRECTLY ON PASSENGER SIDE.

DASHBOARD CRACKED ON ITS OWN. LONG CRACK, FOUND TO BE EXTREMELY COMMON IN CHEVROLET TAHOES.
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2010 TAHOE CRACKED AROUND 55K MILES IN 2015 WHILE DRIVING. IT SEEMS LIKE THIS DEFECT IS DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF VIBRATION/USAGE OF VEHICLE, SINCE MOST NOTICE DAMAGE AFTER 50K MILES REGARDLESS OF HOW LONG THEY'VE OWNED IT OR ITS EXPOSURE TO THE SUN.
CRACKED DASHBOARD
CRACKED DASHBOARD FROM THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG. THIS CRACK HAS CAUSED A STRESS FRACTURE CRACK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DASH. THE WEIGHT OF THE SPEAKER IN THE MIDDLE CONSTANTLY MAKES THE SASH PANEL VIBRATE.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2010 CHEVROLET TAHOE HAS TWO SEVERE CRACKS...ONE ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE OTHER BESIDE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. IT WOULD SEEM THAT THIS CRACK COULD INTERFERE WITH THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AIRBAG. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES.

I HAVE A 2010 CHEVY TAHOE THAT HAS TWO CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD. ONE IS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND THE OTHER ONE IS ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE NEAR THE AIRBAG AREA. THE DEFECT IS JUST VISIBLE AND SO FAR HAS NOT IMPACTED THE TRUCK'S PERFORMANCE WHEN IN MOTION. I SAW WHERE A NUMBER OF OTHER OWNERS OF GMC, CHEVROLET, AND CADILLAC SUV OWNERS HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. I AM NOT SURE IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYMENT MAY BE AFFECTED. HOWEVER, I WOULD LIKE FOR GMC TO ISSUE A NOTICE AND/OR RECALL.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED NEAR THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHICH APPEAR TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF IT MAY CUT OR IMPAIR THE PROPER INFLATION OF THE AIRBAG.
DASH HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. ONE CONNECTING TO THE AIR BAG AND ONE OVER THE STEERING WHEEL. I NOTICED IT ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS AGO (OCTOBER 2015) AND ATTEMPTED TO GLUE IT...IT IS JUST GETTING WORSE AND THE CRACK OVER THE STEERING WILL IS GROWING.
DASH CRACKED BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THE CRACK MADE A NOTICEABLE POP SOUND WHEN THE CRACK APPEARED WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET.

THIS THE 2ND TIME MINE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ON PAASSENGER SIDE OF MINE 2010 TAHOE. THE 1ST TIME SERRA CHEVROLET FIXED AT NO COST TO ME. THIS TIME THAT SAID THAT IT WOULD BE OVER A $1,000 DOLLARS. I DO NOT THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THIS, I PARK IN MINE GARAGE. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO GO GET IT CORRECTED AT NO COST TO ME. I JUST SAW THAT IT HAD HAPPEN, THERE WERE NO ACCIDENTS.
MY VEHICLE HAS DEVELOPED TWO CRACKS IN THE DASH ONE BY THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ONE AT THE LEFT UPPER CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT MAY AFFECT THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2012 AND IT HAS 83,000 MILES ON IT. GM IS REFUSING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND REPLACE THIS MANUFACTURER DEFECT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKED ABOVE THE AIR BAG AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
