WHILE A ACCELERATING ONTO AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AROUND 50MPH SO I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. READ LATER ONLINE THAT THIS ANOMALY IS CALLED THE CHEVY SHAKE. CALLED CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE MY VEHICLE INTO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS. I ALSO LEARNED CHEVROLET ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
CRACKED DASH NEAR PASSENGER AIRBAG AND IN SEVERAL AREAS NOT SURE WHEN THIS HAPPENED AS I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS, BUT CONTINUED TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NORTHWEST CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC OF BELLINGHAM (3891 NORTHWEST AVE, BELLINGHAM, WA 98226, (360) 234-3144), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,058.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN 4 PLACES. GM DEALER SAYS IT WILL NOT BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED.
MY DASH IS CRACKED AND RUNNING IN 4 DIFFERENT PLACES. TWO ON EACH SIDE OF PASSENGER DASH BY AIR BAG AND TWO ABOVE MY DASH INFORMATION PANEL.
CPM MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE THROTTLE TO BECOME STUCK IN FULL OPEN POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND WOULD NOT STOP. COMPUTER WAS STUCK IN 100% MODE. BRAKES INCLUDING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. TAHOE CONTINUED TO GAIN SPEED. RPM'S RUNNING BETWEEN 500-600 RPM. TRAFFIC WAS EVERYWHERE TURNING ONTO A 2 LANE SIDE ROAD AND NOTIFYING 911 I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. THE VEHICLE COASTED FOR ANOTHER MILE OR MORE BEFORE STOPPING. THE BRAKES WERE SMOKING AT THAT POINT.
TAKATA RECALL---A CODE "SERVICE AIR BAG" NOTE APPEARED ON THE DASH AND IS NOW AT THE DEALER TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE COST IS OVER $1000. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT, THE CODE JUST CAME ON WHILE DRIVING.
THERE IS A LARGE CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD RIGHT UP TO THE AIR BAG. I DON'T KNOW WHEN OR HOW IT STARTED. I LOOKED AT THE DASHBOARD AND THERE WAS A CRACK. IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING BIGGER. I AM AFRAID THAT IF I AM EVER IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A PASSENGER THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY.
4-5 inch crack in dash above instrumemt panel 1 inch crack on each corner at the top of each corner of the passanger air bag on the top dash no further cracks at this time a report of this has been made two years ago just incase they deside to recall and replace the dash in the near future
Developed cracks in dash starting in 2018 and progressively got worse. Rattles when you drive. Driver door pull has also broken in several places and has pinched my hand multiple times. Dealer is aware this is a common problem but will need to replace whole door panel and dash at my expense. Transmission went at 81,000. Chevy, you can do better. I was warned not to buy this, but I took my chances. It feels very lemony sour now.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS FRACTURED ALONG THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG HOUSING. THE AIR BAG WAS NOT VISIBLE. PAUL MASSE CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 1111 TAUNTON AVE, EAST PROVIDENCE, RI 02914, (401) 680-1261) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
THE REAR AUDIO CONTROLLER HAS A HUM. WHEN IT IS OFF THE HUM STOPS. IT WILL ALSO STARE HUMMING/BUZZING WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL IS ON. IT DOES IT RANDOMLY WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR NOT. *TR
THE STABLITRACK OFF LIGHT CAME ON. THE DOOR LOCKS RAPIDLY LOCKED AND UNLOCKED. THE ENGINE WAS SURGING WITH LOSS OF POWER. THE RADIO WAS GOING OFF AND ON.
THE DASHBOARD AROUND THE AIRBAG IS CRACKED CAUSING AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR MY SELF AND FAMILY.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON 176TH GETTING READY TO TURN ON SPANAWAY LOOP MY WOULDN'T COMPLETE THE RIGHT TURN OR STOP SO I HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER TRUCK AND MY AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY.
DASHBOARD CRACKING ON DRIVER SIDE IN TWO PLACES AND PASSENGER SIDE ON AIRBAG WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE.
THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN I NOTICED TWO BIG CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD.
THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2012 AND HAS BEEN GARAGED FOR THE ENTIRETY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF VARIOUS TRIPS. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 41.000 MILES AT THE TIME THE CRACKED DASH WAS DISCOVERED. THERE ARE NO FORESEEABLE REASON FOR THE DASH TO CRACK OTHER THAN A FAILURE IN THE MANUFACTURER PROCESS. PLEASE ADVISE.
CRACKED DASHBOARD ABOVE STEERING COLUMN / INSTRUMENT PANEL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE WAS FAULTY AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILALBLE.
2012 CHEVY TAHOE HAS LARGE CRACKS IN THE DASH , AND AM CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY.

SUSPENSION SYSTEM MESSAGE KEEP COMING ON.
THE TRACTION AND STABILITRAK CONTROLS ARE COMING ON AND STAYING WE HAVEN'T FOUND THE PROBLEM YET BUT I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL ON BOTH AT ONE POINT
MY DASH IS SEVERELY CRACKED, INCLUDING BY WHERE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYS FROM THE DASH. AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT SPLINTERING AND CAUSING HARM IN THE EVENT OF DEPLOYMENT.
I WAS DRIVING WEST BOUND ON 176TH ST AND AS I APPROACHED THE LIGHT I COULD NOT BRAKE OR TURN MY CAR TO THE RIGHT IN WHICH I HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. ON IN PACKED MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY! THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE EVEN TOLD THE OFFICER HE WAS TRYING TO TURN , HIS EYES WERE AS BIG AS A COWS CLEARLY HE WAS IN DISTRESS. LUCKILY NEITHER OF US WERE INJURED.
DASH CRACKED BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG
MY DOOR HANDLES ON THE INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE ARR CHROME. THE CHROME MATERIL HAS STARTED TO PEEL AWAY AND HAS CAUSED ME DEEP CUTS ON THE SIDES OF MY FINGERS AFTER OPENING THE DOOR.
TAKATA RECALL I CALLED BAIERL CHEVROLET IN WEXFORD, PENNSYLVANIA ABOUT THE RECALL. ACCORDING TO THE NHTSA.GOV WEBSITE MY VEHICLE IS AFFECTED. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE NO INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RECALL AND THEREFORE WILL NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AT MY TAHOE. WHO IS RIGHT? THE NHTSA.GOV WEBSITE? OR BAIERL CHEVROLET? THIS NEEDS TO BE CONFIRMED, AS I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING CHILDREN AROUND IN MY TAHOE.
Dashboard cracked in several places
THIS WEEK THE TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATED DRASTICALLY. MY TAHOE WAS IN THE GARAGE FOR 2 SOLID DAYS. I PULLED IT OUT THE NEXT TWO DAYS AND DROVE TO WORK LIKE ANY NORMAL DAY BUT THE TEMPERATURES WERE COLD IN THE MORNINGS AND WARMED UP THROUGH THE DAY. TODAY WE PULLED THE TAHOE OUT OF THE GARAGE, GOT IN TO GO TO CHURCH AND NOTICED THAT THE DASH HAD CRACKED IN THE UPPER CORNER OF THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT TOWARDS THE AIR VENT. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT SHOULD I BE IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOY, THAT SHARDS OF PLASTIC WOULD BREAK AND BE IMPELLED THROUGH THE VEHICLE POSSIBLE HARMING MY FAMILY.
MULTIPLE CRACKS IN THE DASH AND AROUND AIR BAGS. MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE STATED THE DASH IS A PROBLEM IN THE AVALANCHE, SILVERADO AND TAHOE YET THE DEALERSHIP CHARGES AN ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNT TO REPLACE THE DASH.
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES, UNDER ITS OWN WEIGHT. RATTLES EXCESSIVELY,GM REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT HAS BEEN CRACKED SINCE 2014 AND HAS JUST STARTED TO RATTLE.
DASHBOARD CRACKED ABOVE AIRBAG. CRACKED WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.
CRACKED DASH AS MANY OTHERS HAVE REPORTED AROUND AIRBAG ETC. THIS CAN CAUSE SOME MAJOR INJURIES IF AIRBAGS DEPLOY.
THERE ARE CRACKS ALONG THE DASHBOARD THAT SEEM AS IF THEY WOULD CAUSE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE LAUNCHING PIECES OF THE DASH IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY.
THE DASHBOARD HAS STARTED CRACKING AND IT IS AT DEALER NOW AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THIS IS ONLY ONE THEY EVER HEARD OF AND THEY CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT BUT IT IS A CERTIFIED VEHICLE THAT I'VE ONLY PUT 20 SOME THOUSAND MILES ON AND IT WAS SOLD TO ME WITH FULL WARRANTY AS A NEW ONE AND AFTER LOOKING ON SEVERAL WEBSITES IT SEEMS THAT A LOT OF OTHERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM, AFRAID IF IT KEEPS CRACKING IT MAY GET RIGHT INTO MY INSTRUMENTS AND ELECTRICAL OR WORSE CONTINUE INTO MY AIRBAG , SURELY THERE IS SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS AND THE DISTRACTION FROM THE DASHBOARD FLOPPING UP AND DOWN CAN LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT, IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT FOR SOMETHING BAD TO HAPPEN. PLEASE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO INFLUENCE A DECISION ABOUT THIS, DO SO IT COULD MEAN THE DIFFERENCE IN A LIFE MAYBE
MY TAHOE HAS DASH CRACKS FROM POORLY CONSTRUCTED DASH RISKING DASH COLLAPSE AND CRACKS AT THE AIRBAG WITH RISK OF FLYING DEBRIS UPON RELEASE OF AIRBAG RESULTING IN INJURING OCCUPANTS. CHEVROLET NOT INTERESTED IN REPLACING. PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LIKE THIS AT 75000 MILES AND DISCOVERED THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN ALL THE CHEVROLET AND GM VEHICLES FROM YEARS 2007-2014.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED BY THE AIRBAG
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD PREMATURELY CRACKED AND WAS DETERIORATED FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES TO THE CENTER OF THE DASHBOARD. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE IF THE FAILURE COULD AFFECT ANY COMPONENTS NEAR THE FRONT OF THE DASHBOARD. THE DEALER (LAKESIDE CHEVROLET, 2005 S GOLIAD ST, ROCKWALL, TX 75087, (972) 961-7103) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON THE MANUFACTURER TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED THERE WAS NO CAMPAIGN TO PROVIDE A REMEDY FROM THE MANUFACTURER THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. UPDATED 07/27/17*LJ *TR

DASHBOARD CRACKED OVER INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AT AIRBAG PANEL. CAR IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD! THOUGH PROTECTED BY WINDSHIELD DEFLECTOR ALL THE TIME DURING SUMMER WHEN PARKED.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING MORE AND MORE EACH DAY
DASHBOARD CRACK NEAR PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE CRACK APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE. THERE WASN'T ANY FORCE TO CAUSE THE DAMAGE. THE CRACK WAS NOTICED WHILE I WAS PARKED, I HEARD CRACKLING SOUNDS AND THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED IT. I LOOKED ONLINE FOR A RECALL AND CHEVROLET HASN'T RECALLED IT, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS PROBLEM. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THEIR DEFECT.
PURCHASE THE TAHOE JANUARY 2017 AND THE ENGINE WENT OUT IN FEBRUARY 2017
A HUGE CRACK ON DRIVERS SIDE AND A SMALLER CRACK ON PASSENGERS SIDE DASHBOARD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL. THE MECHANIC ALSO NOTICED THAT THE FUEL PUMP, ASSOCIATED WITH THE WIRING, SEAL, WIRING HARNESS, AND FUEL SYSTEM, WAS NOT GETTING POWER. THE SPARE TIRE WAS LET DOWN TO FURTHER INSPECT THE AREA AND THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE PINS WERE DISCONNECTED, AND THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF CORROSION TO THE SEALS AND WIRING NEAR THE FUEL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAL AND SEVEN OF THE WIRES, ASSOCIATED WITH THE WIRING HARNESS, WERE PREMATURELY CORRODED. IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V145000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
