I OWN A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, BOTH THE TACH AND SPEEDO OPERATE ERRATICALLY. THE SPEEDO IS OF PARTICULAR CONCERN, THE ERRATIC READING INDICATES THE WRONG VEHICLE SPEED, MANT TIMES IS READS 20 - 40MPH TO LOW WHICH CAN LEAD DRIVING HAZARD. THIS IS SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS THIS A VERY SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM ON THESE VEHICLES, WITH THE INCIDENT RATE A MAGNITUDE HIGHER THAN NORMAL / ACCEPTABLE FAILURE RATES. *TR
THE SPEED, OIL, AND TACH GAUGES ON A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 2004 STARTED TO INDICATE INCORRECT READINGS. AFTER SOME TIME THE GAUGES WOULD JUST STOP WORKING. GM WILL REPLACE THEM FOR FEE STARTING AT $300+. NOW YOU CAN GET A USED CLUSTER TO REPLACE THIS BUT YOU WILL HAVE THE WRONG ODOMETER READING WHICH WILL CAUSE A FRAUD. GM WILL NOT RESET THE ODOMETER ON A USED CLUSTER! THIS CAUSES SOMEONE TO PAY THE HIGH PRICE OR DRIVE AROUND WITH BROKEN GAUGES. DOING A SEARCH ON THE WEB, I AM SEEING THAT THIS IS NOT JUST THE TRAILBLAZER AND THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. I WOULD THINK NOT KNOWING THE SPEED OR OTHER INSTRUMENT READING COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON. *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS WITH 50,000 MILES SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. SOMETIMES IT SHOWS 40, SOMETIMES IT SHOWS 120MPH WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. FOUND TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS MODEL, BUT NO RECALL. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE FOR ALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS. JANUARY 13TH, 2009 - HAVE APPOINTMENT TO REPLACE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AT A COST OF $500 THAT I HAVE TO PAY. GM SHOULD REPLACE FAULTY PARTS AT NO COST, OR AT LEAST COVER PART OF THE REPLACEMENT. THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION. WITH OTHER MODELS IN THIS SAME YEAR HAVING A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, I DON'T SEE WHY GM CANNOT EXPAND IT TO INCLUDE AN OBVIOUS CONTINUING PROBLEM. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AND HAVE GM RECALL THIS PROBLEM FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL MOTORISTS. *TR
I OWN A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH 56K MILEAGE. IN DECEMBER 2008, THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. I WOULD BE AT STOP, AND THE NEEDLE SHOWED 80 MPH. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP RIGHT AWAY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE CLUSTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED - BUT THEY NEEDED TO ORDER THE REPLACEMENT PART. I FINALLY GOT IT FIXED A WEEK LATER AND IT COST ME APPROXIMATELY $525. NOW, FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS, THE ENGINE HAD SUDDENLY SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. THE "REDUCED POWER" & "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHTS CAME ON. BOTH TIMES, IT STARTED BACK UP AFTER I PARKED IT, TURNED OFF THE IGNITION, AND RE-STARTED. BUT AFTER THE SECOND TIME, I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP. I HAD TO HAVE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL REPLACED. COST ME APPROX $360. THESE TWO ISSUES ARE VERY CONCERNING WITH ME BECAUSE IF I WERE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEED (65MPH) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY (INSTEAD OF 30MPH AROUND TOWN), I COULD HAVE DIED FROM CONTACTS WITH OTHER VEHICLES BECAUSE MY VEHICLES STOPPED FUNCTIONING! *TR
WE WERE TRAVELING FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND NOTICED THAT THE RPM GAUGE STOPPED FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IT WAS POINTING BELOW ZERO. THEN, LAST WEEK THE PROBLEM SPREAD TO THE GAS GAUGE AND THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
SPEEDOMETER GIVES FALSE READINGS. STARTED IN THE WINTER OF 2008, BUT IS NOW HAPPENING ON A WEEKLY BASIS DURING THE SUMMER. *TR
FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS, THE SPEEDOMETER ON MY 2004 TRAILBLAZER WOULD INTERMITTENTLY READ 120 MPH AND GET STUCK. THE PROBLEM WOULD CORRECT AFTER REPEATED STARTING OF THE ENGINE. IN DECEMBER THE SPEEDOMETER BECAME STUCK AGAIN AND HAS NOT RESET. I CURRENTLY HAVE 80,000 MILES ON MY CAR. I HAVE CONTACTED CHEVROLET CUSTOMER CARE AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE IN MANY OF THEIR VEHICLES BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ORDERED. CUSTOMER CARE WANTS ME TO TAKE MY CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP AT MY COST ( $89.00) TO HAVE THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED. AT THAT POINT THEY WILL INFORM IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE FOR ME. REAR WINDOW EXPLODED AFTER REAR DEFOGGER WAS TURNED ON . APPROX 5 MIN. IN USE. *TR
SPEEDOMETER AND FUEL GAGE COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED OF THIS VERY ISSUE, BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN MADE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND TO FIX THIS PROBLEM OUR DEALERSHIP SAID IT WOULD COST ANYWHERE AT THE LEAST $500. THIS REALLY UPSETS ME AS WE CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX THIS FOR THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY. *TR
WE HAVE A 2004 TRAILBLAZER LT AND HAVE ISSUES WITH THE SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT GETS STUCK BETWEEN 30-120MPH OR DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL. TOOK IT TO A CHEVY DEALER A FEW MILES FROM OUR HOME. THEY SAID, THEY HAVE TO SEND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OUT TO GET REPAIRED/ REPROGRAMMED AND IT WOULD COST $525. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CHEVY DOES NOT PROVIDED SOME SORT OF DISCOUNT OR RECALL FOR THE REPAIRS SINCE IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THERE TRAILBLAZERS. *TR
I HAD BEEN DRIVING WITH A FAULTY SPEEDOMETER IN MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FOR SOME TIME WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. INABILITY TO GAUGE SPEED IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN IN MY OPINION AND THE PROBLEM IS NOT LIMITED TO MY VEHICLE. IT IS A WELL KNOWN DEFECT AFFECTING GM CLUSTERS, SO MUCH SO THAT IS HAS BEEN THE SOURCE OF A RECALL IN THE SILVERADO. THAT, HOWEVER DOES NOTHING TO HELP THE OTHER THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THESE DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS CLUSTERS MADE BY THE SAME COMPANY DRIVING IN OTHER GM VEHICLES LIKE THE TRAILBLAZER WITH NO INDICATION OF THEIR SPEED. A PRODUCT THAT AFFECTS SAFETY LIKE THIS DOES SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY RECALLED FOR ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. WHEN I SEARCHED FOR GM CLUSTER THERE ARE WELL OVER 500 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE AND NO LESS THAN 3 COMPANIES OUT THERE INDEPENDENTLY FIXING THEM WHILE GM DOES NOTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED WHEN THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN DIFFERENT READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS FAILING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VOLTAGE GAUGE AND RPM GAUGE HAD SINCE STOPPED FUNCTIONING AND THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD FAIL INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
A WEEK AGO I STARTED MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND NOTICED MY SPEEDOMETER WAS READING 70 MPH IN PARK AND RPM GAUGE AT 6000. IT HAS NOT BEEN RIGHT SINCE - FLUCTUATING ANYWHERE BETWEEN 0- 120MPH WHILE AT A STOP OR DRIVING . FROM MY UNDERSTANDING, THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ISSUED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED! *TR
I STARTED TO LOSE THE HIGH SPEEDS ON THE FAN BLOWER. IN CHECKING THE INTERNET I FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR G.M. THE PROBLEM IS THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE THIS PART I FOUND THAT THE WHOLE WIRING HARNESS HAD BEEN BURNT TO. IT GOT SO HOT THAT IT MELTED EVERYTHING. THE FUSE FOR THIS DID NOT EVEN BLOW. THIS COULD HAVE SET THE TRUCK ON FIRE. IT IS FUNNY HOW THE PARTS TO FIX THIS HAS MUCH THICKER WIRE. THE PARTS IN TOTAL WAS AROUND $118. THANKS TO A FRIEND I HAD NO LABOR COST. IF I WOULD OF TAKEN IT TO A G.M. DEALER FOR SURE THEY WOULD OF WANTED OVER $300. G.M. KNOWS THEY HAVE A PROBLEM AND ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER AS IT COULD OF SET THE TRUCK ON FIRE. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER HAS BEEN FAILING CONSISTENTLY. SEVERAL OCCASIONS IT FAILS TO RETURN TO ZERO, REGISTERING 100MPH WHEN GPS SHOWS 35MPH. AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, IT WILL START WORKING NORMALLY - THEN FAULT AGAIN. MILES DRIVEN ON THE ODOMETER DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE AFFECTED. THE CONDITION IS STARTING TO SPREAD TO OTHER GAUGES, WITH THE TACHOMETER SHOWING SEVERAL SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. *TR
ON NOVEMBER 26 2007 TOOK MY CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 04 4 WHEEL DR. IN FOR STEERING WHEEL SHIMMY. COULD NOT DUPLICATE. ALSO C.D. CHANGER WILL NOT EJECT CD'S AND LOW BEAMS ON HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING. REPAIRED HEADLIGHTS AND C.D. CHANGER. DID NOT FIX STEERING PROBLEM. ON JUNE 07 TOOK IN FOR MAJOR SERVICE WITH 33,000 MILES. ON DEC.8 2008 TOOK IN FOR STALLING WHEN COMING TO A STOP. COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.THIS IS MY MAIN COMPLAINT, THE STALLING ON JAN.. 10 2009 TOOK IN FOR ERRATIC SPEEDOMETER WHICH WAS HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS OFF AND ON.REBUILT THE SPEEDOMETER. ON JUNE 11 2009 TOOK CAR IN FOR STALLING, SES LAMP COMES ON WHEN DRIVING AND HVAC FAN DOES NOT BLOW ON THE #5 POSITION. THERE IS ALOT OF GRINDING AND WHINING WHEN VEHICLE SHIFTS TO SECOND GEAR. AND TURNING AT LOW SPEEDS THERE IS A WHINING COMING FROM THE FRONT END. REMOVED AND REPLACED 02 SENSOR. FOR THE STALLING THEY COULD NOT VERIFY CONCERN. RECOMMENDED THROTTLE BODY DE-CARB AND INJECTION SYSTEM CLEANING. FOR THE #5 FAN NOT WORKING REMOVED AND REPLACED SPEED CONTROL RESISTOR. TRANSMISSION THEY COULD NOT FEEL ANY UNUSUAL SHIFTING.FOR THE STEERING PROB.REPLACED POWER STEERING PUMP AND POWER STEERING GEAR. CAR STILL STALLING ON 6-19 -09. TOOK IN. DID ANOTHER DECARB SERVICE AND REPLACE FUEL FILTER.STILL STALLS. 7-01-09 WHEN CAR STARTS THERE IS A LOUD CLUTCH FAN NOISE LIKE A JET TAKING OFF. FEELS LIKE THE TRANS IS OVERWORKING, VERYLOUD NOT RIGHT. FIX,WAS FANCONTROL SET IM PROPERLY TROUBLE CODE P0483 . BULLETIN 05-06-02-004 REPROGRAM PCM. CLAIM CODE1013B. JULY 8 TOOK CAR FOR STALLING ISSUE JULY 9 TOOK CAR FOR STALLING ISSUE JULY 10 TOOK CAR FOR STALLING ISSUES NO PAPER WORK FOR THESE 3 DAYS THEY WERE TRYING TO RECREATE THE STALLING ISSUE. JULY 20 2009 IN SHOP FOR 16 DAYS FOR STALLING ISSUE THEY FINALLY CONFIRMED .REPLACED PCM. THEY CALLED IN TECH ASSISTANCE CASE #10971267 HE SAID TO PERFORM TOP ENGINE CLEANING. OUTCOME IS CANNOT GUARANTEE REPAIRS AT THIS TIME DUE TO HOW RANDOM THIS PROB OCCURS. *TR
AT ABOUT 65,000 MILES MY TACHOMETER STARTED TO READ IMPROPER, LATER MY GAUGES BEGAN TO READ IMPROPER. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. BUT YOU CAN'T TRUST THEM. YOU NEVER KNOW HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING, IF YOU HAVE FUEL, IF YOUR ENGINE IS OVERHEATING,IF BATTERY IS CHARGING, IF I HAVE OIL PRESSURE. I AM ON DISIBILTY AND CAN'T AFFORD THE SEVERAL HUNDERED DOLLARS IT WILL COST TO REPAIR. I HAVE FOUND FROM A FEW SOURCES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. I JUST TALKED TO GM, I WAS TOLD THAT IF I HAD IT REPAIRED TO KEEP MY RECIEPTS. BUT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE 04 TRAILBLAZER ONLY ON FULL SIZE VEHICLES. A SMALL CRACK OR FRACTURE HAS DEVELOPED IN THE FUEL TANK FILLER NECK. THIS WILL CAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND MAY CAUSE THE TB TO IDLE POORLY WHEN COLD. THERE IS A SMELL OF GASOLINE. *TR

MY SPEEDOMETER WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TOO, SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT WORK FOR 3 TO 5 DAYS, AND THEN IT WORK FINE AGAIN SEEMS TO DO THIS WHEN IT GETS COLD OUTSIDE. *TR
THIS TRAIL BLAZER HAS BEEN A LEMON EVERY SINCE I BOUGHT IT.FIRST TWO BATTERIES KEPT SWELLING UP AND SMOKING AND THEN IT WOULDN'T START. I REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. THEN THE MOTOR THREW A ROD. I PUT ANOTHER MOTOR IN IT. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT AND HAD IT PUT ON A MACHINE TO CHECK IT OUT. IT CANNOT BE CHECKED BECAUSE THE MACHINE READS THAT THE COMPUTER IS DEAD. IT STALLS EVERY NOW AND THEN AND GETS HORRIBLE GAS MILEAGE. I REPLACED THE GAS CAP BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. NOW THE TRANSMISSION HAS WENT OUT OF IT. PREVIOUSLY IT AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED THE DOORS WHEN IT WAS RUNNING LOCKING ME OUT. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON ALL THESE ELECTRIC PROBLEMS. I DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS YET I HAVE 16 MORE MONTHS TO PAY ON THIS TRUCK. I'VE ALWAYS BOUGHT CHEVROLET'S BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE AND SO WILL A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE. IF THEY CAN'T STAND BEHIND THERE VEHICLE'S THEIR NO GOOD FOR ANYTHING. ALL THESE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS STARTED AT DIFFERENT DATES. I ALSO HAD TO PUT A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM ON IT. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS STILL RUNNING WITH THE COMPUTER DEAD. *TR
WE PURCHASED A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER IN 2007. BEGINNING IN 2008, OUR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BEGAN TO FAIL, STARTING WITH THE SPEEDOMETER. AT TIMES, THE SPEEDOMETER SHOWED 15 TO 20 MPH SLOWER THAN ACTUAL SPEED, RESULTING IN UNSAFE AND UNLAWFUL SPEEDS. THE CLUSTER THEN FAILED IN THE FUEL SENSOR AND OIL PRESSURE SENSOR AREAS, AND HAS NOT WORKED IN OVER 2 YEARS. WHEN GM WAS CONTACTED, THEY INDICATED THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ISSUE. HOWEVER, WHEN LOOKING ONLINE AT FORUMS AND OTHER RESOURCES, AND TALKING WITH GM/CHEVROLET DEALER MECHANICS, THIS PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD AND COMMON, RESULTING IN EXPENSIVE REPAIR BILLS AND IN CASES GIVING VEHICLE OWNERS NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE AN UNSAFE VEHICLE DUE TO NOT HAVING THE RESOURCES TO GET THE FACTORY DEFECT REPAIRED. *TR
MY 2004 TRAILBLAZER KICKED INTO FULL SPEED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING IN AN ICY ROAD AT 20 MPH. IT AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED TO 4 WHEEL DRIVE, SPUN AT A 90 DEG. WENT INTO A DEEP DITCH, SPUN BACK STRAIGHT AND HEADED UP THE DITCH, AGAIN FULL SPEED, INTO A CULVERT AND TOTALED THE VEHICLE. BOTH AIR BAG SENSORS WERE KNOCKED OFF THE VEHICLE AND NEITHER ONE OPENED. I WAS NOT INJURED. SHOOK UP A LITTLE. TRAVELING ALONE AND COMING HOME FROM CHURCH ON A SUNDAY MORNING AT NOON. *TR

SEVERAL TIMES THAT I'VE BEEN DRIVING THE TRAILBLAZER, THE SPEEDOMETER GOES CRAZY AND SAYS THAT WE ARE TRAVELING AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE OF SPEED THAN WE ARE. LIKE IF IM GOING APPROX 70MPH, IT STATES WE ARE GOING ABOUT 110MPH! THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE! AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN A RECALL? *TR
SPEEDOMETER GETS STUCK ON HIGHER SPEED AND RPM METER GETS STUCK ON A HIGH LEVEL THEN STOPS WORKING THEN STARTS WORKING AGAIN BUT ON WRONG RPM LEVEL. HAVE TO RESTART VEHICLE 5-10 TIMES FOR IT TO GO DOWN. GM WANTS ME TO PAY FOR DIAGNOSIS THEN DECIDE WHETHER ITS COVERED OR NOT. GM SHOULD PAY FOR THE WHOLE THING SINCE ITS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALL THE CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. THE TRAILBLAZER ISN'T THAT OLD AND ONLY HAS 39,000 MILES ON IT. ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE A MASTER DOOR WINDOW/ LOCK SWITCH WHICH COST ME $400. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GM WITH MY TRAILBLAZER AND GM NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THE LOUSY PRODUCT THEY PRODUCE. *TR
ALL WITHIN THE LAST FEW MONTHS I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE COMPLETE DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT AND ELECTRICAL PIGTAIL BECAUSE IT CAUSED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT THAT BURNT THE WIRES. I OWN A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER NORTH FACE/EXT. THE SPEEDOMETER HAS BEEN GIVING ME PROBLEMS FOR SOME TIME. AT FIRST IT WOULD MALFUNCTION FROM TIME TO TIME. NOW THE FUEL GAUGE HAS STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. WHEN I STARTED INVESTIGATING THIS PROBLEM I FOUND OUT THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT CHEVROLET HAS ANOTHER VEHICLE, "CHEVY TAHOE", THAT HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY THERE IS A RECALL TO FIX THE TAHOE AND NOT THE TRAILBLAZER EXT. IS VERY INTERESTING TO ME. I HAVE GONE AS FAR AS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE TAHOE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND SAW THAT THEY ARE VERY ALIKE. THE VEHICLE RECALL TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ON THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE SENT OUT ASAP. IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT MANY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS SEEM TO BE HAVING. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED SPORADICALLY ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL. SHE TOOK HER VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT FUEL VAPORS WERE LEAKING AND COLLECTING ON TOP OF THE MODULE. THE FAILURE CAUSED FUEL TO SPILL ONTO THE GROUND. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY $1,300 TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT REGISTERED IN A SALT BELT STATE. SECONDLY, SHE NOTICED THAT THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WERE INOPERATIVE AND DISPLAYED INACCURATE INFORMATION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER'S RECALL FOR THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL; THEREFORE, SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $550 TO REPAIR THE COMPONENT. I PURCHASED A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. EVERYTIME I FILL THE TANK I HAVE A STRONG ORDER OF GAS. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE A LEAK IN MY GAS TANK AND THAT I NEED A NEW GAS TANK. POOR DESIGN AND SUBPAR MANUFACTURING OF PARTS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES HAVE RESULTED IN ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT CANNOT BE FIXED.GAUGES AND LIGHTS RANDOMLY GOING CRAZY,HEAT AND A/C MAY OR MAY NOT OPERATE,VEHICLE MAY OR MAY NOT START,KEY MAY OR MAY NOT RELEASE FROM IGNITION. IGNITION SWITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES IN LAST TWO YEARS AND OFTEN BRAND NEW IGNITIONS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX FROM THE DEALER PARTS DEPARTMENT ARE NO GOOD. AS OTHER GM VEHICLES WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN RECALLED ONE WOULD THINK TRAILBLAZER OWNERS SHOULD DESERVE THE SAME COURTESY.CLEARLY GM DISAGREES.
