SPEEDOMETER IN MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT MALFUNCTIONED. IT READ 80 MPH AT A DEAD SPOT. IT WOULD VARY ITS READINGS, BUT IT WAS NOT ACCURATE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN OR IDLING, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT NIGHT WHEN SHUTTING OFF THE HEADLIGHTS AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL; HOWEVER, THE ENGINE DOES NOT SHUT OFF, ONLY THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED ON SIX OCCASIONS. SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE DEALER REPLACED ONE OF THE CIRCUIT PANELS, BUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTINUES TO FAIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER WAS GIVING THEM THE RUN AROUND AFTER EXTENDING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WARRANTY TO 100,000 MILES. SHE ALSO STATED THAT THERE HAS BEEN ELECTRICAL FAILURE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. I HAVE A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 2005 AND THE LIGHTS KEEP FLICKERING AT NIGHT TIME WHEN YOU INCREASE AND DECREASE POWER, I HAVE REPORTED IT BUT NOTHING. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT CONTROLS FAILED AND NO LONGER MOVED THE SEATS PROPERLY. THE FUSES WERE REPLACED, BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY SMELLED AS IF THEY HAD BURNED NOT LONG AFTERWARDS. SHE HAD THE FUSES TESTED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A SHORTAGE IN THE FUSE BOX THAT COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. THE CHEVROLET DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE FOR FREE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES, SHE HEARD A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FUSE BOX. THE VIN, ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, AND PURCHASE DATE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 71,239.
LIGHTS (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL) DIM OR FLASH WHEN THE GAS IS LET OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, PEOPLE PULL OVER, FLASH YOU BACK, AND IN ONE INSTANCE I POLICE OFFICER PULLED ME OVER. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN WORSE WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS COLDER THAN 50 DEGREES. IT'S BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT SERVICE DEPARTMENTS AND IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT THEY EITHER NEGATE THE PROBLEM AS NORMAL OR CLAIM THEY CAN'T REPLICATE IT. SOME GM EXPLANATIONS REFER TO LOW SPEEDS AND BRIEF DRIVE TIMES, I CAN SAY FIRST HAND IT'S HAPPENED EVERY MILE OF A 300 MILE TRIP, MULTIPLE TIMES. MY HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AND THE VOLTAGE METER BOUNCES AROUND. THE FLICKERING HEADLIGHTS ARE A DANGER TO MYSELF AND OTHERS AS THOSE AHEAD OF ME THINK I AM TRYING TO FLAG THEM DOWN. *TR
TRANSMISSION STARTED ACTING UP ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AT RIGHT AROUND 47,000 MILES. IT'S GOTTEN TO WHERE I CANNOT GO MORE THAN 45 MILES AN HOUR OR SO AND IT TAKES ME 5 MINUTES TO ACCELERATE TO THAT POINT. I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, EVEN THOUGH MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRED BY 11,000 MILES, AND ONE MONTH! *TR
BOUGHT THE 2005 TRAILBLAZER NEW, HAVE TAKEN IT TO HAVE THE FLASHING LIGHTS FIXED ON 3 OCCASIONS, BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, SO THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEN WHILE ON A TRIP THE SWITCH WENT OUT, AND WAS REPLACED AT A DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PURCHASED, THE LIGHTS QUIT FLASHING. NOW THE ALTERNATOR HAS GONE OUT, ONLY 48,000 MILES. *JB
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT ACCURATELY REPRESENT THE TRUE AMOUNT OF GAS IN THE TANK. AFTER TALKING WITH CHEVROLET OWNERS AND DOING RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE, IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON THEME. THE GAS GAUGE INDICATES THAT THE VEHICLE'S GAS TANK IS EITHER EMPTY AFTER BEING RECENTLY FILLED OR ONLY SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE "E" ON THE GAS GAUGE. IT TAKES ABOUT TWO DAYS OR 12 STATUTORY MILES BEFORE THE GAS GAUGE BEGINS TO DISPLAY AN ACCURATE READING, IF THAT IS EVEN TRUE! ON 30 APRIL 2008, DURING A FAMILY ROAD TRIP, THE GAS GAUGE BEGAN TO DISPLAY THAT THE GAS TANK WAS A QUARTER FULL AFTER BEING FILLED. AFTER DRIVING ANOTHER HOUR AND A HALF, THE GAUGE READ EMPTY AND THEN WENT BACK TO A QUARTER FULL. I GUESS CHEVROLET DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK, JUST ITS QUANTITY OF SALES. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON AN ELEVATED INTERSTATE AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I HIT THE GUARDRAIL IN A DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT. THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS CRUSHED ABOUT 40 INCHES. THE CAR IS TOTALED BUT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I SUFFERED SOME INJURIES ON MY HEAD EVEN THOUGH I HAD MY SEATBELT ON. *JB

I HAVE A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER AND WHILE DRIVING AT CERTAIN TIMES THE HEADLIGHTS WILL FLASH (BRIGHT -> DIM -> BRIGHT) IN A FAST FASHION. I BELIEVE THAT THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WERE PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE ALLOWING THEM TO PULL OUT IN FRONT OF THEM, ECT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY DEALER AND THEY SAY THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. FROM WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING ON FORUMS CHEVY SAYS THIS IS "NORMAL". THE FUEL HAND HAS QUIT WORKING, IT HAS NOT WORKED SINCE OCTOBER OF 2007, AND IT IS TO EXPENSIVE TO FIX IT AND I KNOW OF THREE OTHER PEOPLES WHO'S VEHICLES ARE DOING THE SAME THING AND THEY ARE THE SAME YEAR MODEL AS MINE ALTHOUGH SOME ARE GMCS ENVOYS AND SOME ARE CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED FOR THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CRACK, THE WATER PUMP, THE EVAPORATOR CORD, THE HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS (WHICH MELTED AND CAUSED THE LIGHT BULB TO FAIL), THE HUB ASSEMBLY, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER, THE MOTOR BLOWER RESISTOR WIRES, AND THE DOOR LOCKS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE REAR WINDOWS WOULD NOT OPEN OR CLOSE AND THE REAR HATCH LOCK SYSTEM AND INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER FAILURES PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,875.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE VEHICLE HAS CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TR OWL, SIZES P245/65R17 TIRES. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SWERVE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND REPLACED THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE WITH A SPARE. HE ALSO NOTICED TREAD SEPARATION. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 47,000. UPDATED 12-13-07. *KB
WINDOW SWITCH PANEL ON DRIVERS DOOR CAUGHT FIRE OVERNIGHT WHILE PARKED IN GARAGE. NO PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS EVENT. FUSE BLEW STOPPING THE ELECTRIC CURRENT AND THE FIRE BURNT OUT ON ITS OWN. I DISCOVERED THE DAMAGE IN THE MORNING AS I WAS GETTING IN THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE TO WORK. *TR
I PARKED THE 2005 TRAILBLAZER IN THE GARAGE AFTER A SHORT TRIP TO PICK UP A NEIGHBORS CHILD. TWO HOURS LATER WHEN I WENT TO START MY CAR TO TAKE THE CHILD HOME, MY KEY WOULD NOT TURN. STEERING WHEEL WAS NOT LOCKED ( IT COULD BE TURNED AND TURN THE WHEELS) TRANS WAS LOCKED. I READ ON ONLINE FORUMS THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD ISSUES LIKE THIS, ONE GUY SAID THAT HE WAS ABLE TO PULL BACK ON HIS SHIFTER AND TURN THE KEY AT THE SAME TIME. THIS DID NOT WORK FOR ME AS THE TRANS SHIFTER WAS LOCKED. RESULT, TOW, AND REPLACE SWITCH. *TR
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE HEADLIGHTS DIMMING UPON SLOWING FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS NORMAL FUNCTION, AND COULD NOT BE REPRODUCED BY THE DEALER. TODAY, I WAS INFORMED BY ANOTHER DEALER THAT THE ALTENATOR BEARINGS HAVE GONE BAD, AND THE ALTENATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE HAS 57K MILES.
LIGHTS FLASH DIM THEN BRIGHT SHORTLY AFTER BRAKE IS PRESSED. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. *TR
HAD TO HAVE TRANSMISSION REPLACED (A WHOLE OTHER SICK STORY:( ). WHEN I GOT MY TRUCK BACK, SECOND DAY ON THE FREEWAY, THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED TO CLIMB EVEN THOUGH I WAS STAYING WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. I TWENT AROUND TO THE 100S. WHEN I GOT HOME IT SPUN STRAIGHT DOWN NOT STOPPING AT THE ZERO LIKE IT NORMALLY DID. TOOK IT BACK TO MECHANIC AT LEAST TWICE MAYBE 3 TIMES, HE DID SOMETHING THAT FIXED IT FOR A FEW DAYS, BUT THEN IT WOULD MESS UP AGAIN. AS IT IS RIGHT NOW, IT IS PARKED BUT SAYING IT'S AT 100+ MPH. READING OTHER PEOPLES SAME PROBLEM, IT WILL COST TOO MUCH FOR ME TO PAY THE DEALER TO FIX. I HAVE EVEN GOTTEN A SPEEDING TICKET BECAUSE OF THIS (MY FIRST IN 20 YEARS!)!!! *TR
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT FUEL PUMP/FUEL SENSOR PROBLEMS, FUEL GAUGE QUITS WORKING AND THEN PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP BEGINS. BOUGHT MY TRUCK IN 2005, REPLACED IT UNDER WARRANTY IN8/ 2007, WENT OUT AGAIN IN12/ 2009...SO EVERY 2 YEARS. CHEVROLET WANTS $800-1500 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. 3 FUEL PUMP/FUEL SENSORS IN 5 YEARS AND YOU DON'T THINK THERE IN A DEFECT. OVER 100 PROBLEMS REPORTED ON CARBEEF.COM ABOUT IT. *TR

THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR EVEN WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL WITH GASOLINE. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES TO NO AVAIL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. SHE NOTICED THAT THE ADHESIVE THAT HELD THE REAR WINDOW IN PLACE CAME LOOSE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WHEN THEY ATTEMPTED TO OPEN IT THE GLASS SHATTERED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR IT AT THEIR COST. THE CONTACT FELT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS PART OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN# 05V035000 (VISIBILITY: WINDSHIELD). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 67,000.
CONTINENTAL TIRE FAILURE CUSTOMER STATES THAT HE HAD A SERIOUS BLOW OUT AND THAT THE TIRE SIDEWALL COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE TREAD THIS IS THE SECOND TIRE TO MALFUNCTION ON HIS VEHICLE IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK**CC THE CONSUMER STATED HE IS VERY CONCERNED THAT 2 TIRES FAILED WITHIN A WEEK AND IS REALLY HOPEFUL ABOUT THE SITUATION BEING INVESTIGATED. *TR UPDATED 08/29/07. *JB
ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 5TH MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE TIRE FAILURE. THIS WAS THE SECOND FAILURE ON A TIRE ON MY VEHICLE WITHIN A ONE WEEK PERIOD. THE FIRST FAILURE WAS MUCH LESS CATASTOPHIC THAN THE SECOND, HOWEVER, THE SYMPTOMS APPEAR TO BE RELATED. AS I CHANGED LANES ON A BUSY HIGHWAY I HEARD A THUMPING SOUND FOLLOWED BY RUBBER FLYING INTO THE AIR. THE VEHICLE TO MY RIGHT SLOWED TO ALLOW ME TO PROCEED TO THE SHOULDER AREA. THE VEHICLE HANDLED VERY WELL, BUT THE TIRE WAS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE SIDEWALLS. *TR
TWO TIRES FAILED WITHIN A WEEK WITH SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES. THE FIRST TIRE FAILURE WAS LESS DRAMATIC THAN THE SECOND DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT OCCURRED AT NIGHT WHEN TEMPERATURES WERE COOLER AND VEHICLE STOPS WERE MORE FREQUENT. THE SECOND FAILURE WAS CATASTROPHIC. THE SIDEWALLS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE TREAD ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY. AFTER THE FIRST TIRE FAILURE I HAD THE TIRES ALIGNED, BALANCED AND PRESSURE CHECKED BY A GM TECHNICIAN. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE GM DEALER CLEARLY TOLD ME THAT THE TWO REMAINING TIRES WERE IN GOOD SHAPE AND HAD SEVERAL THOUSAND MILES ON THEM BEFORE I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT CHANGING THEM. FOUR DAYS LATER THE TIRE FAILED COMPLETELY. AFTER THE INCIDENT I CALLED BACK TO THE GM DEALER TO VERIFY THEIR PROCESS FOR TIRE ALIGNMENT. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE TIRES WERE INDEED VERIFIED TO BE AT 35PSI, THE FACTORY RECOMMENDED LEVEL. I RETAINED THE FAILED TIRE FOR FUTURE USE. THE TIRES WERE CONTINENTAL CONTI-TRAC P245/65/R17 WITH A DOT NUMBER OF HW8T BL5 0305. A SIMILAR REPORT HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE NHTSA. *TR
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE TREAD ON MY TIRE COMPLETELY BLEW OFF TAKING WITH IT PART OF MY BUMPER AND THE INTERIOR PLASTIC AROUND THE TIRE. ONLY THE STEEL BELTS WERE LEFT. *JB
MY ALTERNATOR WENT BAD, HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY LIGHTS GETTING BRIGHTER FOR A SECOND DURING ACCELERATION AND THEN IT GOES BACK TO NORMAL. WINDING NOISE COMING FROM MY ALTERNATOR STARTED AT 36,175 MILES RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY ENDS. *TR

BASICALLY MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER CONTINUES TO GO DEAD WHILE DRIVING OR NOT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MORE THAN 5X AND THEY STILL CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. SOMETIMES IT STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND AT OTHER TIMES IF I GO NOWHERE IT WILL NOT CRANK UP. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE THE DEALERSHIP HAS PUT IN 2 NEW BATTERIES WHICH WAS NOT THE PROBLEM AS THEY STATED. THEY HAVE ALSO KEPT MY VEHICLE FOR AT LEAST A WEEK TO SEE WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WHICH DID OCCUR. ONE DAY THEY WERE DRIVING IT THE NEXT DAY IT WOULDN'T START. THEY JUMPED THE VEHICLE AND PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER STILL GOT NOTHING. THIS IS POSING A PROBLEM FOR ME SINCE I HAVE 3 YOUNG KIDS ALL UNDER THE AGE OF 5 THAT I DRIVE AROUND DAILY. WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN WHEN THE TRUCK STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WITH MY LITTLE ONES! *JB

I PURCHASED A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ON 4/15/05 SHORTLY THERE AFTER I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH A WHINING SOUND. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION PULLEY. I CONTACTED THE CORPORATE OFFICE OF CHEVROLET TO INQUIRE ABOUT ASSISTANCE WITH PAYMENT CONSIDERING I WAS ABOUT 3, 000 MILES OVER THE WARRANTY. AFTER SEVERAL CALLS CHEVROLET ABSORBED THIS COST. THEN IN SEPT. OF 2005, MY HUSBAND TOTALED HIS CAR AND I PURCHASED A 2005 TRAILBLAZER FOR HIM. AGAIN THIS CAR BEGAN MAKING SIMILAR NOISES AND MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HOME WITH OUR 2 YEAR OLD SON AND THE CAR BEGAN SMOKING. MY HUSBAND IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND CONTACT ROADSERVICE. ONCE WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC HE SAID THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION PULLEY WHICH CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO DIE. WE TOOK IT TO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I CONTACTED THE CORPORATE OFFICE ONCE AGAIN AND THIS TIME THEY WOULD NOT OFFER ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. IT SEEMS THAT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT WAS THE RESULT OF AN OIL CHANGE THAT DID NOT OCCUR AT THE 3000. THEY, THE DEALERSHIP BASED THIS OFF OF A STICKER THAT WAS IN THE WINDOW OF THE CAR. WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT THE CAR THEY WAS NO OIL STICKER IN THE WINDOW. DESPITE THAT, I HAD CONTACTED THE CHEVY OFFICE ABOUT THE SAME WHINING NOISE THAT I HEARD IN MY CAR (THE IGNITION PULLEY) THAT MY HUSBAND WAS EXPERIENCING IN HIS CAR. THIS IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. WE WERE TOLD TO FIX THIS CAR IT WOULD COST $10,000.00, YES, FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. WE HAVE SINCE TOWED TO HOME IN ORDER TO AVOID STORAGE FEES. HERE SITS A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH APPROX. 50,000.00 AND A NEW TRANSMISSION IS NEEDED. WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THIS AND ALSO PAY THE CAR NOTE ON IT AS WELL. AS A READ REPORTS, THIS IS A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MANY MANY TRAILBLAZERS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE FOR FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS!!!!! *TR
I BOUGHT A 2005 TRAILBLAZER USED IN JUNE OF 2007 WITH 34,000 MILES. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD THE RUBBER SEAL AROUND THE LICENSE PLATE FIXED 3 TIMES FOR THE GLUE MELTING AND RUNNING DOWN THE TAILGATE. THE AIR CONDITIONER WHEN RAN FOR EXTENDED TRIPS DOESN'T BLOW LIKE IT SHOULD, THE DEALER SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THAT TWICE. THE WHOLE LIGHT FLICKERING THING IS ANNOYING AND PROBABLY COULD BE AVOIDED WITH A STRONGER ALTERNATOR. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR SECONDARY AIR INJECTION MALFUNCTION CONVENIENTLY AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, ITS ALL DUE TO A CRAPPY CHECK VALVE THAT IS MADE WITH A METAL THAT CORRODES EASILY CAUSING IT TO STICK. I UNDERSTAND THAT PROBLEMS HAPPEN BUT THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 38,000 MILES ON IT. GENERAL MOTORS KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEMS THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO GO BROKE FIXING THEIR MISTAKES. SINCE THE PURCHASE MY TB ENGINE WILL STOP WHEN AC AND HEATER IS ON ON STOP LIGHT, THAT IT WAS DELAYING WHILE DRIVING. BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHT ON 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT HAVE FAILED ON TWO OCCASIONS SINCE LEASING THIS NEW CAR ON 9/15/2004. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON 6/15/2006, WHEN THE PASSENGER BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHT FAILED AND WAS NOTICED BY A POLICE OFFICER WHO GAVE AN INFORMAL WARNING. IT WAS REPAIRED ON 6/16/2007 BY THE DEALER WHO IS NOW OUT OF BUSINESS. THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED TODAY, JUNE 21, 2007 WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHT FAILED AND WAS NOTICED BY ANOTHER DRIVER. IT WILL BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER TOMORROW.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE VEHCLE DIMME D INTERMITANTLY. IT OCCURRED AT NIGHT AND OFTEN WHEN I REMOVE THE FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL. IT MAY HAPPEN ONE NIGHT AND NOT HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL 3 TO 4 NIGHTS FROM THEN. *AK IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT BACK TO THE MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS 4 TIMES. ONCE, THEY STATED IT WAS A BAD GROUND, NEXT TIME THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY AND THE NEXT TIME THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL. THEN I WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY CHANGED OUT THE ALTERNATOR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR OTHER DRIVERS ALNG WITH MYSELF BECAUSE OF THE BLINKING HEADLIGHTS. THE AMP METER OF THE DASHBOARD FLUCTUATES WHEN THIS OCCURS.

FUEL GAUGE SENSOR ON A 2005 TRAILBLAZER HAS GONE OUT, FUEL GAUGE READS EMPTY AT ALL TIME. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ESPECIALLY IF THE VEHICLE WERE TO RUN LOW ON FUEL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND BE HIT BY ANOTHER CAR FROM BEHIND.
