TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE FROM EMPTY TO FULL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT DISPLAY THE ACCURATE AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT THE VEHICLE CONTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS OR REPAIRS. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: DP10001 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM) THAT COULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR HAS FAILED. FUEL GUAGE SHOWING EMPTY ALL THE TIME. ALSO CAUSING "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" TO BE ILLUMINATED ALL OF THE TIME. HAD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FAULT READ, AND WAS TOLD THAT CODE INDICATES IT IS BECAUSE OF THE FAULTY FUEL LEVEL READING, AND THAT WHEN INSPECTION IS DUE IN MARCH OF 2012, IF THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS NOT REPLACED ELIMINATING CHECK ENGINE FAULT, THE VEHICLE WILL FAIL NYS EMISSION TEST AND THEREFORE NYS SAFETY INSPECTION.
AS PER INCIDENT NUMBER DP10001 I AM ON MY THIRD FUEL SENSOR AND THE VEHICLE HAS LEFT MY FAMILY STRANDED IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THE FAULTY PART. THE FAULTY PART IS PRESENTLY PREVENTING ME FROM PASSING EMISSIONS. *TR
I OWN A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT. ON APRIL 17TH 2011 I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 1-96 IN MICHIGAN WITH MY 2 YOUNG KIDS. GAS GAGUE READ 48 MILES TILL EMPTY WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED,IT WAS OUT OF GAS. MY KIDS AND I HAD TO WALK ALONG A MAJOR HIGHWAY TO NEAREST GAS STATION TO GET GAS. THE TRUCK RAN FINE BEFORE STALLING OUT AT 70 MPH. I AM THANKFUL THERE WERE NO CARS CLOSE BEHIND ME WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. *TR
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. HAPPENS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, HAPPENS SPORADICALLY. THIS HAS OCCURRED 2 TIMES BEFORE. THE TIMES BEFORE WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2010 MILEAGE UNKNOWN AT THE TIME WHILE DRIVING IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. THEN ON OCTOBER 08, 2010, AT 91,164 MILES WHILE DRIVING HOME ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70MPH IN THE OCCURRENCES IN 2010 LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING, THEN INDEPENDENTLY RE-ILLUMINATED WITHIN SECONDS. THE LATEST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED ON APRIL 16, 2011 AT 10:50PM. I HAD JUST DRIVEN VEHICLE 20 MINUTES EARLIER AND HAD NO PROBLEMS. MY WIFE USED THE VEHICLE AT 10:45PM AND LOWBEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AT 40-45MPH. SHE STATED IT TOOK REPEATED TRIES WITH HEADLIGHT SWITCH TO GET THE LIGHTS TO RE-ILLUMINATE. WIFE PULLED TURNSIGNAL ARM BACK AND HIGHBEAM LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE THE FLASH TO PASS FEATURE. NO OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS PRESENT. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN NEIGHBORHOOD AT LOW SPEED. THIS IS A CONDITION THAT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS VEHICLE HAS AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS, THEY COME ON AUTOMATICALLY AT DUSK, AND THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS LEFT IN THE AUTOMATIC MODE AND NEVER TOUCHED. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 19,000-20,000 MILES, WAS A GM EXECUTIVE/DEMO VEHICLE. *TR
ALTHOUGH I HAD 1/4 TANK OF GAS, I DECIDED TO FILL MY TANK. WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, THE GAS GAUGE SHOWED THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY AND THE CHIME INDICATING THAT THE TANK IS EMPTY WENT OFF. I KNEW THAT THE TANK WAS NOT EMPTY SINCE I STILL HAD A 1/4 OF TANK BEFORE FILLING UP. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR A FEW DAYS, THE GAUGE EVENTUALLY SHOWED THE CORRECT AMOUNT. NOW EVERY TIME I FILL THE TANK, THE GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY AND THE CHIME GOES OFF. I HAVE TO CHECK THE MILEAGE CONSTANTLY SO I WON'T RUN OUT OF GAS. NOW AFTER A FEW DAYS, THE GAUGE WILL AT ONE TIME SHOW FULL AND THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER SHOW 1/4. THE GAUGE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHEN I NOTICE THAT THE MILEAGE IS GETTING CLOSE TO WHAT A FULL TANK WOULD TAKE ME, I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT I FILL THE TANK COMPLETELY SO THAT I DON'T RUN THE CHANCE OF RUNNING OUT GAS.
FUEL GAUGE BEGAN NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY AROUND APRIL 15, 2011. THE GAUGE IS CONSTANTLY REGISTERING EMPTY AFTER A FILL UP AND THEN REGISTERS A HALF A TANK AND THEN BACK TO EMPTY. I HAVE HAD TO REVERT TO SETTING MY TRIP ODOMETER AND WHEN I GET CLOSE TO 300 MILES I FILL UP. I HAVE CHECK WITH MY DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE IS A FIX....A NEW FUEL SENSOR AND FUEL PUMP. *TR
INITIALLY THE INTERIOR LIGHTS AS WELL AS THE HEAD LIGHTS WILL FLICKER WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING IN PARK. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW STOPPED WORKING IN APRIL 2012. THE OTHER THREE WINDOWS CONTINUED TO WORK. JUNE 2012 THE RADIO BEGAN TO CUT OUT WHEN HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE DASH RADIO LIGHTS WOULD GO BLANK AND THE CLOCK RESET TO 12:00. THIS OCCURRED ON AT LEAST 4-5 OCCASIONS. OTHER TIMES WHEN HITTING A BUMP THE RADIO WOULD MAKE A STATIC CUT OUT SOUND BUT WOULDN'T FULLY GO OUT. JULY 2012 ON 3-4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AT ONCE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE GAS GAUGE DROPPED TO EMPTY ON A FULL TANK AND THE DING DING DING SOUND CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. AUGUST 19, 2012, AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 8 MILES THE CAR SMELLED REALLY FUNNY LIKE BURNING RUBBER OR WIRE. SNIFFING AROUND THE SMELL WAS ORIGINATING FROM THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DASH/DOOR HINGE AREA. AT THIS TIME THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW STOPPED WORKING. THE TWO REMAINING PASSENGER WINDOWS CONTINUE TO WORK, HOWEVER HOURS LATER THE SMELL STILL REMAINS IN THE CAR. *TR
TWO DAYS BEFORE WE WERE TO LEAVE ON VACATION IN OUR 2006 TRAILBLAZER, MY WIFE FILLED UP THE GAS TANK AND WHEN SHE GOT IN THE CAR IT READ BELOW EMPTY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. SHE IMMEDIATELY WENT TO A SHOP WHERE SHE WAS TOLD "IT;S PROBABLY THE SENDING UNIT, THEY GO BAD ON TRAILBLAZERS ALL THE TIME". THIS WAS BEFORE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, AND THE TEST CONFIRMED IT. BEING THAT IT IS A CERTIFIED USED VEHICLE, 5 YEARS OLD WITH 50,000 MILES, WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THEY SAID THEY COULD DO IT FOR $470.00 AND IT WAS NOT UNCOMMON. I AM 50 YEARS OLD AND HAVE OWNED A DOZEN VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS, MOST OLDER THEN THIS, AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM, EVER, ON ANY VEHICLE. SINCE WE WERE LEAVING ON A VACATION IN TWO DAYS, WE FELT WE HAD BETTER HAVE IT FIXED, EVEN THOUGH WE COULD NOT AFFORD IT. I HAVE SINCE TALKED TO OTHER MECHANICS, AND ASKED IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS WITH TRAILBLAZERS FROM 2006. EVERY TIME I HAVE BEEN TOLD "NOT REALLY, OTHER THEN THE FUEL SENDING UNITS, WHICH IS AN EXPENSIVE FIX". UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE EXPERIENCED THAT FIRSTHAND. WHILE I CAN'T REPLACE THE THINGS WE COULDN'T DO ON OUR VACATION DUE TO THE COST OF THE REPAIR, I WOULD SURE LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK. AND SINCE THE NEW ONE CAME FROM THE DEALER AND IS OEM EQUIPMENT, HOW LONG WILL THIS ONE LAST? ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. *TR
GAS GAUGE BEGAN FLUCTUATING THEN FAILED. NEEDLE GOES BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. (CAUSED BY FAULTY FUEL LEVEL SENSOR/SENDER) I HAVE HAD TWO OTHER GM VEHICLES IN THE PAST TEN YEARS THAT HAVE HAD THEIR GAS GAUGES FAIL. OBVIOUSLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH GM VEHICLES THAT THEY HAVE FAILED TO CORRECT.

MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LS HAS A FAULTY FUEL SENSOR. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN QUOTES FOR THE REPAIRS BETWEEN $800-$1300 TO FIX! THIS IS [XXX]! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR GM'S FAULTY PART! THIS IS DANGEROUS! THE GAUGE READ I HAD 1/4 OF A TANK OF FUEL LEFT. I STALLED OUT ON THE HIGHWAY, I MANAGED TO COAST, SAFELY, TO THE EMERGENCY LANE. NOW MY GAUGE DOESN'T EVEN READ THERE IS FUEL PRESENT, REMAINING ON EMPTY ALL OF THE TIME. SOME TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, OTHER TIMES IT IS NOT. I REFUEL EVERY 250 MILES, TO STAY SAFE. AT 61000 MILES, VEHICLE'S FUEL LEVEL GAUGE BEGAN BEHAVING ERRATICALLY. UPON FILLING TANK THE GAUGE WOULD READ "EMPTY". AFTER A FEW DAYS INDICATOR WOULD GO UP TO 3/4 FULL THEN WOULD DROP TO "EMPTY" THE NEXT DAY. VEHICLE RAN OUT OF GAS UNEXPECTEDLY ON INTERSTATE DURING RUSH HOUR WHERE I HAD TO COAST ACROSS 3 BUSY LANES TO THE SHOULDER. HAD VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHICH RETURNED "FUEL SENDER" FAULTY. REPLACEMENT ESTIMATE OVER $400! I DECLINED AS I AM A RETIRED SENIOR CITIZEN ON A FIXED INCOME. WILL ATTEMPT TO USE ODOMETER TO GUESS FUEL LEVEL.
I AM FILING A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 4 X 4. AFTER FILLING THE FUEL TANK UP, I RETURNED TO THE CAR AND AS SOON AS I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP, THE GAS GAUGE SHOWED EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT WAS ON. I KNEW THIS WAS NOT TRUE AS I HAD JUST FILLED THE FUEL TANK. THE FUEL GAUGE WILL SOMETIMES SHOW "FULL" WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK BUT THEN DROPS OFF TO EMPTY OR ANYWHERE IN BETWEEN AS I TRAVEL. I HAD TALKED TO MY LOCAL GMC DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE IS A KNOW PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE FUEL TAT SEND THE TANK LEVEL INFORMATION TO GAUGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DEALER INDICATED A INVESTIGATION HAS START BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED YET. I NOW HAVE TO RELY ON THE TRIP ODOMETER TO GAUGE HOW FAR I CAN TRAVEL ON A TANK OF FUEL. EVERYTIME I NEED FUEL, I FILL UP ALL THE WAY SO A HAVE GOOD BASE LINE OF MY AVAILABLE MILEAGE. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING ISSUE. MY CONCERN IS IF THE PROBLEM OCCURS WITH THE FUEL PUMP IN THE TANK. IF THE FUEL PUMP FAILS, I COULD BE STRANDED SOME WHERE OR HAVE A LOSS OF POWER WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THIS COULD BE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE A ACCIDENT IF THE FUEL PUMP FAILS. *TR

FAULTY GAS GAUGE SENSOR ON 2006 TRAILBLAZER. *TR
FUEL GAUGE STARTED TO FLUCTUATE ABOUT A MONTH AGO. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROX 135K MILES ON IT. HAD ONSTAR RUN DIAGNOSTIC AND SHOWED "HIGH FUEL SENSOR" ERROR TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE...SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL. WHEN THE TANK IS FULL, SAME ISSUE AS OTHERS HAVE HAD, THE GAUGE REGISTERS EMPTY THEN STARTS TO GO UP AFTER SEVERAL HOURS. TO THIS DATE, THE ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF; EVERY TIME PUT GAS IN REGISTERS EMPTY TO HALF WHEN FULL. I HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS ONCE LAST WEEK ON WAY TO WORK, LUCKILY I WAS NOT ON INTERSTATE YET WHEN GAUGE READ I HAD ALMOST HALF TANK. WHEN I TOOK TO DEALER FOR REGULAR OIL CHANGE ASKED THEM TO CHECK IT. THEY CONFIRMED BAD SENSOR AND $600 REPAIR COST TO DROP TANK AND FIX ISSUE. THE PART COSTS $45 AT LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE - CRAZY! SINCE THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT ALL DRIVERS ARE HAVING GM SHOULD ISSUE THE RECALL AND FIX THE ISSUE! *TR

I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM ON ALOT OF TRAIL BLAZERS BUT THERE IS NO RECALL OR FREE FIX BY GM. REPAIRS WOULD BE ANYWHERE FROM $600 TO $1200. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND I COULD RUN OUT OF GAS WITH NO WARNING. THIS SHOULD BE FIXED BY GM FREE OF CHARGE. *TR

MY AC SYSTEM IN MY TRUCK SUDDENLY STOP WORKING IN APRIL 2011. I ASSUMED THAT IT WAS THE AC COMPRESSOR. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIRING TO THE RESISTOR HAD BURNED. HE TOOK PICTURES OF THIS DAMAGE AND STATED TO ME THAT HE LOOKED INTO THIS AND WAS INFORMED THAT THIS HAS BEEN A MAJOR ISSUE WITH GM TRUCKS AND A SERVICE ALERT HAS BEEN SENT TO DEALERS ABOUT THIS. *TR

INACCURATE GAS GAUGE. UNEXPLAINED STALLS. THE GAS GAUGE INITIALLY WOULD SHOW MORE GAS THAN WAS AVAILABLE AND LATER DIGRESSED TO ALWAYS SHOWING EMPTY. CONTINUOUS PROBLEM. 6 STALLS IN WHICH THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER STALING. ALL STALLS OCCURRED IN PARKING LOST WITH NO ACCIDENTS. WAITING 30 MINUTES TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. FROM NOVEMBER 2010 TO PRESENT. *TR
IMMEDIATELY AFTER REFUELING TO FILL TANK AND STARTING VEHICLE, THE FUEL GAUGE WENT TO FULL, BACK DOWN TO EMPTY, THEN TO HALF FULL. THE GAUGE CONTINUED TO FLIP BACK AND FORTH. AT EACH FALSE "EMPTY" THE CHIME RANG AND YELLOW LIGHT APPEARED .THE GAUGE CONTINUED TO DO THIS IF FULL OR CLOSE TO EMPTY. EVERY TIME TANK WAS FILLED THE TRIP ODOMETER HAD TO BE RESET TO ZERO AND DATE AND NUMBER OF GALLONS NOTED. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN TRACK FUEL CONSUMPTION. WE CANNOT TRUST THE GAUGE READINGS AT ALL. WE HAVE TO DO EXPRESSWAY DRIVING TO COMMUTE AND HAVE TO REFUEL MORE OFTEN TO KEEP TRACK. WE WORRY ABOUT SAFETY OF US AND OTHERS!

I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE HAVEN'T BEEN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS AABOUT THIS TO WARRANT A RECALL AND REPAIRS WOULD BE ANYWHERE FROM $600 TO $1200. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND I COULD RUN OUT OF GAS WITH NO WARNING. THIS SHOULD BE FIXED BY GM FREE OF CHARGE.
THE MIDDLE OF MARCH 2011 I SMELT SOMETHING BURNING. I DID NOT SEE SMOKE. MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND CONTROL PANEL STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY. THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS THAT HAVE OCCURRED OVER THE PAST YEAR. DRIVERS WINDOW SOMETIMES WON'T ROLL DOWN AT ALL. SOMETIMES IT WILL ROLL 1/4 AND STOP, SOMETIMES IT WILL ROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN. WHEN ROLLING BACK UP I HAVE TO MAKE 1000 CLICKS TO GET BACK UP. REMOTE KEYLESS WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. MIRRORS CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED. CURRENTLY ALL 4 WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN FROM DRIVERS SIDE CONTROL, BUT WILL IMMEDIATELY ROLL BACK UP WITHOUT PRESSING THE UP BUTTON. OTHER 3 WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN FROM EACH DOOR BUT WILL ALSO AUTOMATICALLY ROLL UP WITHOUT BEING PROMPTED TO. IT'S ALMOST AS IF THE UP BUTTON IS BEING HELD DOWN CONSTANTLY. MY CONCERN IS THAT I HAVE A CHILD WHO'S HAND OR FINGERS COULD GET CAUGHT WITHOUT WARNING, AND NOT KNOWING IF THE WINDOWS WILL ROLL BACK DOWN IS CONCERNING. I AM UNABLE TO LOCK THE OTHER WINDOWS FROM BEING CONTROLLED BY OTHER PASSENGERS. I HAVE CHECKED ALL FUSES AND SO FAR THEY ARE OKAY. MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER'S FUEL GAUGE GIVES FALSE FUEL LEVELS. WHEN I FILL IT UP THE NEEDLE MOVES UP A LITTLE AND GOES BACK TO EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON. I BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW. I'VE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE FROM THE DASH INDICATORS, RADIO, AND NOW THE FUEL GAUGE. THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I CAN RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE TRAVELING AND MAY HAVE AN ACCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE CONTACT NOTICED THE FUEL INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE WARNING SOUND MADE A NOISE TO INDICATE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF FUEL. THE CONTACT STATED PRIOR TO THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATING THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY IT ALSO INDICATED THERE WAS HALF A TANK OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC STATED THE FUEL GAUGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER DP10001 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM) WHICH COULD BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

THE WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON THE GAUGE READS EMPTY. SOME TIMES THE GAUGE WILL READ CORRECTLY, HOWEVER, MOST TIMES IT STAYS AT EMPTY. AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM, IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM FOR THIS SPECIFIC VEHICLE AS MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A CERTAIN MILEAGE THIS HAPPENS AT BASED ON THE RESEARCH, BUT IT IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM. 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS 4.2L I6 4X4 98,000 MILES- FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING AFTER FUEL UP. GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY WHEN IN FACT THE TANK IS FULL. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ALSO ON. GAUGE ALSO FLUCTUATES FROM FULL TO EMPTY WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS VERY HAZARDOUS AS I COULD RUN OUT OF GAS MERGING ON THE HIGHWAY OR PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC. I SPOKE WITH THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS ISSUE, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE GAS TANK (WHICH THEY DID SAY IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE). SEVERAL COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS. THE BLOWER RESISTOR WAS REPLACED DUE TO IT ONLY WORKING ON HIGH. THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE FUEL SENSOR WAS NOT WORKING, THE HEAT WAS INOPERATIVE, THERE WERE NOISE/CREAKS COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN DRIVING SLOW AND MAKING TURNS, THE POWER WINDOWS AND HEATED SEATS STOPPED WORKING, THE FUEL GAUGE WAS INACCURATE, THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH HAD TO REPLACED, THE SEAT BELT WAS DIFFICULT TO FASTEN, THE HEAD LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS SOCKETS BURNED OUT, THE FAN FOR THE HEATER AND DEFROSTER STOPPED WORKING, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT DOWN SHIFT PROPERLY AND EVENTUALLY HAD TO BE REPLACED, THE IGNITION SWITCH DIDN'T ALWAYS WORK AND THE KEY WOULD SOMETIMES GET STUCK. *JB

I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT WITH A FUEL SENDING GAUGE PROBLEM. WHEN I FILL THE TANK, THE GUAGE INDICATES A FULL TANK BUT THE "NEEDLE" STAYS LOCKED ON FULL UNTIL I'VE DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES - THEN THE NEEDLE SHOWS THE FUEL LEVEL AT ABOUT 3/4 OF A TANK. FURTHER DRIVING MAKES THE NEEDLE FLUCTUATE WILDLY UNTIL SOMETIME IN THE NEXT 50/100 MILES THE NEEDLE FALLS TO THE EMPTY MARK AND STAYS THERE. RECENTLY THERE HAS BEEN A NEW DEVELOPMENT: THE NEEDLE NEVER MOVES OFF THE EMPTY MARK WHEN I FILL UP AND TODAY, AFTER FILLING UP YESTERDAY, THE NEEDLE SITS ON THE EMPTY MARK WITH THE LOW FUEL LIGHT ON. I HAVE RESORTED TO BRINGING A GAS CAN WITH ME AND USING THE ODOMETER TO "GUESSTIMATE" THE AMOUNT OF FUEL I HAVE LEFT. NOT ALWAYS THE BEST SOLUTION. *TR
