TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT TRACK COVER WAS LOOSE. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP AND THE ENGINE MADE A HISSING SOUND WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 45-50 MPH. THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIVE IN REVERSE AND THEN SHIFT INTO GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. WHEN THE CONTACT REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD STOP AND NOT MOVE AGAIN UNTIL IT REACHED 5-8 MPH (STABILIZING TRACK). THE MASTER CYLINDER ALSO FAILED. WHEN MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN ,THE POWER STEERING WOULD MAKE A LOUD SCREECHING SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SIX TIMES. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THE FAILURES. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT. THE VEHICLE HAS CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TR OWL TIRES (LT275/70R18 125/1225). WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD ROARING NOISE AND FELT THE VEHICLE PULL TO THE RIGHT. HE NOTICED THAT THE TREAD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE HAD SEPARATED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE FRONT TWO TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 25,100 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,800.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT DISPLAY THE ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READING. AS THE FAILURE PROGRESSIVELY WORSENED, THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD PERMANENTLY PROVIDE A READING OF EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
WE HAVE HAD TWO 2006 TRAILBLAZERS AND BOTH OF THEM HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FOR US. THE FIRST ONE WE BROUGHT WE OWNED IT FOR SIX MONTHS AND WE HAD IT IN THE SHOP SIX TIMES (BROKEN SWAY BAR, HEATER TWO TIMES, WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID HOLDER TWO TIMES, SHAKY FRONT WHEEL AND MOTOR MISFIRING. WE TRADED IN HOPEFULLY TO AVOID MORE PROBLEMS AND WENT AHEAD AFTER ASSURANCE THAT THIS ONE MUST JUST BE BAD AND GOT ANOTHER 2006 TRAILBLAZER. THIS ONE WE HAVE ONLY HAD FOR 2 MONTHS AND WE'RE ALREADY HAVING PROBLEMS. THREE DAYS AFTER WE BOUGHT IT HAD TO GO TO THE SHOP FOR THE RADIO NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THEN THE ENGINE STARTING MISFIRING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND IT WAS RUNNING REALLY ROUGH. THE TECH THOUGHT THAT IT WAS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GAS CAP WASN'T ALL THE WAY TIGHTENED. (WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON YOU LOOSE POWER AND I PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF A CAR ON THE HIGHWAY AND BARLEY MOVED THAT'S HOW I FOUND THAT OUT.) WHEN HE CALLED ME BACK HE SAID THAT I HAD TWO CRACKED SPARKS PLUGS AND THE BATTERY CABLE WAS LOOSE MAKING IT START SLOWLY. THAT WAS FIXED BUT THEN 5-27-07 THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH JUST LIKE BEFORE. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME THAT THE ENGINE GETS WET THAT IT MAKES IT MISFIRE. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP THIS SEVERAL TIMES NOW. IT HAD BEEN RAINING THAT DAY. EVERYTIME I TAKE IT IN FOR THE ENGINE THEY TELL ME THERE IS A LOT OF MOISTURE UNDER THE HOOD ON THE MOTOR. IT'S IN THE SHOP RIGHT NOW. *TR
THIS VEHICLE WAS JUST LISTED IN THE TOP TEN WORST VEHICLES TO DRIVE REGARDING SAFETY CRASH RATING REPORTS. I HAVE ONLY OWNED IT FOR 6 MONTHS, AND IM WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT WITH MY FAMILY AND MYSELF. I THINK CHEVROLET SHOULD TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE VEHICLES AND ACCEPT THEM BACK IF THEIR OWN PRODUCT WASC EXTREMLY UNSAFE!*AK
I HAVE HAD MANY MANY PROBLEMS WITH MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER MOST RECENTLY THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD, I HAD STARTED COMPLAINING TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AT AROUND 8,000 MILES, THE TRUCK NOW HAS 17,000 MILES ON IT. THE DEALER REFUSES TO REPAIR IT UNDER MY WARRANTY. THE DEALER WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR. THE DEALER TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I WAS INFORMED OF THIS ON 5/4/2007. I HAVE HAD MANY MANY REPAIRS DONE ON THIS VEHICLE, SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. THE DEALER ALSO REFUSES TO FIX THE BRAKES, THE DEALER CLAIMED TO HAVE REPAIRED THEM 3,000 MILES AGO AND TOLD ME THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE BRAKES TO BE BAD AGAIN, THE DEALER SAID I NEED ROTORS, PADS, AND THEY DID REPLACE A LT FT CALIPER THAT THEY FOUND TO BE BAD. THE DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE THE PADS AND ROTORS. THE DEALER HAS TOLD ME TO PICK MY VEHICLE UP. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY NOT IN SAFE CONDITION TO OPERATE ON PUBLIC HIGHWAY, I INFORMED THE DEALER THAT I WILL LEAVE THE TRUCK THERE WHILE I CONTACT NHTSA AND WHOEVER ELSE I FIND THAT WILL HELP ME. IF THE DEALER INSIST THAT I REMOVE MY VEHICLE, I WILL HAVE IT TOWED, I WILL NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE ON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS, AS IT IS NOT SAFE. I WILL NOW LIST SOME OF THE ITEMS MOST RECENTLY REPLACED. ALSO, ABS , CHECK ENGINE, AND SERVICE 4WD LITE WAS ON AND OFF SINCE JANUARY 2007. THE GAS GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS REPLACED TWICE, ALSO REPLACED THE RADIO, FRONT HEATER, REAR HEATER, DVD PLAYER, BOTH UPPER BALL JOINTS, BRAKES, FT WHEEL BEARING, LT FT DOOR CONTROL, FT CALIPERS, SOME KIND OF BEARING IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE FRONT SUSPENSION STILL MAKES NOISE, RATTLES (THE DEALER CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM) THERE IS MORE BUT THIS IS WHAT I REMEMBER RIGHT NOW WITHOUT LOOKING IT UP. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR SO MANY THINGS TO BE WRONG AND HAS ACCUSED ME OF CHANGING PARTS OVER FROM ANOTHER TRAILBLAZER. *TR
FUEL GAUGE SENSOR DOES NOT FUNCTION. THIS CAUSES THE FUEL TANK TO CONSTANTLY READ EMPTY. I NOTICED THIS JUST AS THE WARRANTY ON MY LEASED VEHICLE WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE DUE TO MILEAGE THE FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO USE THE TRIP ODOMETER ON THE VEHICLE TO DETERMINE IF I NEED FUEL OR NOT. WHEN THIS FIRST STARTED OCCURRING, IT WORKED AND THEN DIDN'T WORK AND I RAN OUT OF FUEL ON SOME BUSY ROADS AND HAD TO PUSH MY VEHICLE TO A FUEL STATION. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PORTER CHEVY TO HAVE IT FIXED THEY SAID IT WOULD COST ME $950. I SPOKE TO OTHER CHEVY DEALERS AND THEY SAID PRICES RANGING FROM $800-$1500 TO CORRECT AND HAD TWO MECHANICS TELL ME THAT THE PART IS GARBAGE AND THAT IT WOULD JUST BREAK AGAIN WITHIN A YEAR NOT TO WASTE MY MONEY. I FILED A COMPLAINT ON THROUGH THE CPSC AND FOUND 50 OTHERS JUST LIKE MINE ON THERE. NOT NHTSA WAS ON CNN AND I CHECKED TO SEE OVER 200 SIMILAR CASES ON THIS SITE SOME INVOLVING SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES OVER THE SAME PROBLEM I'M HAVING. I HAVE 3 SMALL KIDS AND NEED THIS CORRECTED. NOT MY FAULT THAT CHEVY IS RIPPING OFF ITS CUSTOMERS WITH FAULTY PARTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 49,500.
CHECKING FUEL INDICATOR STARTED TO BE STUCK ON BELOW EMPTY CAUSING ME TO RUN OUT OF GAS ON A FEW OCCASIONS. AND FROM MY UNDERSTANDING THIS HAS BEEN A FLAW IN GM TRUCKS FOR SOMETIME NOW. AND THE COST FOR THE REPAIR IS OVER $500.00. THESE VEHICLES COST TOO MUCH MONEY TO HAVE THESE TYPES OF PROBLEMS AND THE DEALER NOT THINK IT IS THERE RESPONSIBILITY TO CORRECT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SHUT OFF. WE PULLED OVER AS IT WAS NIGHTTIME AND TURNED ON THE HIGH BEAMS. A FEW MINUTES LATER WE WERE ABLE TO USE THE LOW BEAMS AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY SINCE THEN. JUST ONCE IN AWHILE UNTIL RECENTLY. JUST LAST NIGHT, JULY 09, 2014; THEY TURNED OFF AT LEAST EIGHT TIMES GOING TO AND FROM CHURCH WHICH IS ABOUT 7 MILES FROM MY HOME. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY THING TO HAPPEN. WE MENTIONED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AWHILE BACK AND THEY SAID UNLESS IT WAS HAPPENING RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM. I LOVE MY VEHICLE, EXCEPT FOR THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES (LIGHTS, WIPERS, STEREO, ETC.). PLEASE HELP! *TR
THE ELECTRIC SEAT CONTROL PANEL WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVERS SEAT ON THE LOWER LEFT SIDE BECOMES DISLODGED UPON A LARGER PERSON SITTING IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. MY VEHICLE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WAS TAKEN TO A GM GARAGE AND THE PANEL WAS REATTACHED MORE THAN ONCE IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. THE SIDE PANEL STILL CONTINUES TO COME OFF. THE DISLODGING OF THIS PANEL COULD CAUSE THE SEAT TO MOVE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION UNEXPECTEDLY REPOSITIONING THE DRIVER AND CHANGE THE DRIVERS POSITION RELATIVE TO THE STEERING WHEEL AS WELL AS THE BRAKE AND GAS CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. *TR
THIS NOT A FORMAL COMPLAINT, SIMPLY INFORMATION. WE HAD A 2006 TRAILBLAZER THAT HAD THE POWER EQUIPMENT SWITCHPLATE MELT DOWN WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS GARAGED. WHEN I PARKED IT THE WINDOWS WERE UP AND WHEN I WENT TO THE GARAGE 2 HOURS LATER THE DRIVERS WINDOW WAS DOWN AND THE SMELL OF SMOKE CAME FROM INSIDE THE DRIVERS DOOR PANEL. SWITCHPLATE WAS IN-OPERATIVE. MY POINT IS GM KNOW ABOUT THIS AS EARLY AS 2007 AND NEGLECTED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS AGENCY ALMOST KILLED OFF TOYOTA FOR ALLEGEDLY HIDING KNOWN DEFECTS; PERHAPS IT IS GM,S TIME IN THE CHAIR? I HAVE HAD 2 UNEXPLAINABLE TRANSMISSION FAILURES IN THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP HAD NO INFORMATION FOR WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEMS. THE 2ND GEAR STARTED TO SLIP, CAUSING IT TO BURN OUT THE TRANSMISSION. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, THE VEHICLE HAS APROX. 5,000 MILES ON IT. THEN SEVERAL THOUSAND MILES LATER, THE ENGINE SPUN A ROD BEARING. THEN AT APROX. 14,000 MILES, THE TRANSMISSION BLEW OUT AGAIN. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT BOTH TIMES AND THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT AS WELL....*JB

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WAS STUCK ON THE EMPTY READING DESPITE THERE BEING A FULL TANK OF GASOLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NEITHER DIAGNOSED OF REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE THROUGHWAY, AT ABOUT 60 MILES PER HOUR, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. AS I WAS DRIFTING TO A STOP ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, IT STARTED UP. A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD, THE ENGINE AGAIN SHUT OFF, BUT STARED UP AGAIN AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP. OFTEN THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON. WITH IN THE LAST FEW HUNDRED MILES ON A COUNTRY ROAD, I WAS TURNING SLIGHTLY LEFT, AND GENTLY PUSHED THE BRAKES. THE WHOLE VEHICLE VIBRATED, AND I COULD FEEL IT ESPECIALLY IN THE BRAKE PEDAL. I WENT A LITTLE FARTHER AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. EACH TIME THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. I SHUT THE CAR, OFF AND RE-STARTED IT AGAIN. IT WAS FINE. I'VE GONE TO THE DEALER EACH TIME. I WAS TOLD IF IT WAS NOT DOING THE SITUATION, AT THAT TIME, THEY COULD ONLY PUT IN ON THE COMPUTER. I ASK FOR THE $100.00, WHAT THAT WOULD SHOW. I WAS TOLD NOTHING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THE CONTACT HAD TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY IN ORDER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PCM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE HEADLIGHTS WERE TOO DIM WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS WORKING UP TO STANDARDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
THE BACK HATCH DOES NOT OPEN IN DURING THE WINTER. THE BUTTON ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BACK HATCH TO PUSH IN GETS STUCK AND THE HATCH WILL NOT UNLOCK. THIS HAPPENS MANY OF TIMES DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING TO MY DEALER ABOUT THIS AND THEY CLAIM ITS NOTING WRONG. ONCE THE BUTTON STICKS ON THE BACK OF THE HATCH IT WILL NOT RELEASE THE HATCH TO OPEN. *TR
MY VEHICLE IS ALWAYS SHOW OUT OF GAS OR FUEL LOW. I WAS TOLD THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS BAD AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. COST $600.00. I NOTICED THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN COMMON FOR MANY YEARS WITH CHEVY TRUCKS. WAS IS GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS. I THINK IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM DATING BACK SEVERAL YEARS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING DOWNHILL AND SHIFTING INTO THIRD GEAR, THE VEHICLE ONLY ACCELERATED TO 40 MPH. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED TO OPERATE IN THAT MANNER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 7,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4. THE VEHICLE CAME EQUIPPED WITH A TRAILER HITCH. THE OWNERS MANUAL STATED IT COULD TOW OVER 6,000 POUNDS. THE TRANSMISSION IS A 4 SPEED AUTO. WHILE GOING DOWN HILL, AND MANUALLY MOVING THE SHIFT LEVER T THE 3RD POSITION FOR THE ENGINE COMPRESSION, IT WOULD PROVIDE COMPRESSION FOR SLOWING DOWN TO 40-45 MPH. UPDATED 08/09/07. *JB

MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT IS JUNK! WE PURCHASED IT USED IN NOVEMBER OF 06 IT HAD AROUND 20,000 MILES IT NOW HAS 70,000 THE FRONT DOORS MAKE LOUD POPPING NOISES WHEN OPENED AND SHUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON HAVE HAD IT SERVICED TWICE WONT GO AWAY HAD MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED ITS NOW MAKING A HORRIBLE WHINING NOISE WHEN STARTED BEING DRIVEN HORRIBLE WIND NOISE FROM FRONT PASSENGER DOOR IT IS HORRIBLE! THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK COULD NOT BE FOUND. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, A STRONG FUEL SMELL WAS DETECTED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 89,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, IT HAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL FAILURES. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE POWER STEERING PUMP WOULD PRODUCE AN AWFUL NOISE ON MANY OCCASIONS. THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE AT INAPPROPRIATE TIMES AND FAIL TO INDICATE WHEN SOMEONE WITH A LOW WEIGHT WAS SEATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. A MECHANIC STATED THAT WATER WAS ENTERING INTO THE ENGINE BECAUSE OF A SHORTAGE. THE CONTACT ASKED GENERAL MOTORS FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT THEY REFUSED. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 41,000.

FUEL SYSTEM: GASOLINE DELIVERY, FUEL PUMP THE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE IN MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. EVERY TIME IF FILL THE TANK, THE GAUGE WOULD SLOWLY APPROACH THE FULL LINE, THEN DROP TO EMPTY, ACTIVATING THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR LIGHT AND WARNING TONE. I MUST ESTIMATE MY FUEL CONSUMPTION USING THE TRIP METER. I HAVE NOT REPLACED ANY OEM FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE YET. *TR
WHEN I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO THE FLOOR ALL THE WAY, THE FLOOR MAT TRAPPED IT WIDE OPEN. THIS IN RETURN CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SPEED OUT OF CONTROL. THIS IS THE THIRD INCIDENT WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE BETWEEN MY FIANCE AND I THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. BECAUSE I WAS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM I JUST KICKED THE FLOOR MAT AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS RELEASED. VERY SCARY FEELING IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. *JB
FILLED UP THE TANK AND WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT WORK. THE GAUGE WOULD GO TO E WHEN I TURNED ON THE ENGINE BUT WOULD NOT GO ANY HIGHER. THEN AFTER DRIVING IT WOULD SLOWLY GO BACK UP AND DRIFT DOWN TOWARDS E AGAIN. IT ACTS LIKE THE FUEL FLOAT IS SATURATED. AS THE FUEL LEVEL WOULD GET LOW. THE GAUGE WOULD START TO WORK NORMAL. DOOR PAINT START TO BUBBLE THIS FIST WAS NOTICE AFTER I HIT THE 1,000 MILE MARKER. THE PAINT WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. THEN 3 YEARS LATER THE PAINT BUBBLE AGAIN ON ALL MY DOORS AND THE BACK HATCH AND FRONT HOOD. IT WAS THEN REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. 3 YEARS WENT BY AND THE ISSUE IS BACK THE DEALER STATES THEY DO NOT KNOW WHY IT KEEP DOING THAT AND IS UNABLE TO FIX IT AGAIN. I FEEL THIS IS A PAINT ISSUE WITH GM. MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE PAINT AROUND THE DOORS. I RECENTLY CONTACT THE WISCONSIN DEPT. OF CONSUMER PROTECTION IN REGARD TO MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I DID NOT NOTICE THIS, NOW OBVIOUS, ENGINEERING DEFECT. I AM @ 6'2" TALL. SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE 2006 TRAILBLAZER I WAS ALMOST IN A NEAR COLLISION. I SIMPLY DID NOT SEE A CAR AT A STOP SIGN ON MY RIGHT BECAUSE THE REARVIEW MIRROR HAD COMPLETELY BLOCKED MY VISION OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE ME. I THEN TRIED TO ADJUST MY SEAT TO BRING ME DOWN LOWER SO THAT I COULD HAVE A FULL PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE SEAT WOULD NOT ADJUST TO ACCOMMODATE A FULL PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. I HAVE HAD OTHER CLOSE CALLS DUE TO THIS CONDITION. I FINALLY DECIDED TO CONTACT THE WISCONSIN DEPT. OF CONSUMER PROTECTION WHOSE INTERVENTION PRECIPITATED A REPRESENTATIVE FROM GM TO CONTACT ME. THIS REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN TELLING ME THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NO COMPLAINTS OR ACCIDENTS ATTRIBUTED TO THIS SORT OF CONDITION. THIS REPRESENTATIVE ALSO STATED THAT THE 2006 TRAILBLAZER MEETS ALL NHTSA STANDARDS. THIS IS MY QUESTION TO THE NHTSA. WE OWN A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND SINCE IT HAD ABOUT 500 MILES WE STARTED RUNNING INTO PROBLEMS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ALSO THE BRAKES MAKE A WHISTLING NOISE AND CHEVY INSISTS THAT IT IS NOT THE SERVICE BULLETIN THEY HAVE POSTED UP REGARDING THE FRONT AXLE MAKING A WHISTLING NOISE. I SPENT OVER $1000 TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM FIX, YEARS AGO, TODAY 5/27/20016 I HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. THIS TRUCK IS IMPORTANT TO ME AND MY KID.
