THE CONTACT NOTICED POWER STEERING FLUID UNDER THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V455000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY LOST POWER ALMOST GOT INTO ACCIDENT AND WAS BLOCKING TRAFFICC. OTHER VEHICLES LIKE MINE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHICH SHOWS IT'S A RELAY BAD ONLINE IT SHOWS THAT THERE WAS A RECALL BUT IN THE DATABASE IT DOESN'T SHOW UP FOR MY VEHICLE
WHILE ON MY WAY TO WORK, AT 3:30 AM, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AS I WAS ENTERING A 90 DEGREE TURN. ALMOST CAUSING ME TO ENTER A DITCH. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES, THEY CAME BACK ON. WHILE DRIVING THIS HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES ON MY WAY TO WORK.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FAILURE - NO LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT. FORCED TO USE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS. FAILURE WAS DUE TO FAULTY HDM, PART #15016745 IN UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK UNIT.

WHILE DRIVING ON A SMOOTH HI-WAY (NO VIBRATIONS) THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OFF. I SWITCHED TO HI BEAMS AND PULLED OFF THE ROAD AT FIRST OPPORTUNITY. WHEN I SWITCHED BACK TO LOW BEAMS AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES IN THE 11 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP, TWICE IN ONE WEEK. COULD NEVER INDUCE THE PROBLEM.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, AND WITHOUT ANY NOTICE WHILE IN DRIVE IT STOP ACCELERATING. ALL THE GEARS WERE AFFECTED (D,R,1,2,3 ) WE TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE, TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE VEHICLE DROVE FOR A FEW MILES AND THEN AGAIN WITHOUT NOTICE DID THE SAME THING.

WHILE TRAVELING AT NIGHT ON A LEVEL TWO-LANE HIGHWAY THAT CARRIES HIGH TRAFFIC RATES, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ENGINE POWER, BEGAN TO FEEL AS THOUGH THE BRAKES CAME ON, THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS DIMMED, AND THE TRACTION CONTROL SYMBOL STARTED FLASHING. VEHICLES BEHIND ME QUICKLY BRAKED TO AVOID A REAR COLLISION, AS THEIR HEADLIGHT BEAMS RAPIDLY CHANGED DIRECTION AND DIPPED TOWARDS THE PAVEMENT. THEN ABOUT 6~8 SECONDS LATER THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT REMAINED ON FULL ILLUMINATION, THEN WENT OUT, AND THE ENGINE SPEED PICKED UP. AS I ALMOST WAS IN A SURPRISE REAR-END COLLISION, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE NEAREST, OPEN CHEVROLET DEALER THE EARLIEST I COULD GET IT DIAGNOSED. IT TURNS OUT THE STEERING SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $392.00. SURPRISE POWER LOSS AND SUBSEQUENT BRAKING MAKING A DANGEROUS SITUATION AT HIGHER HIGHWAY SPEEDS IS WHAT MADE ME GET IT REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RANDOMLY STALL AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE ISSUE IS WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. THEY INTERMITTENTLY TURN ON AND OFF, SPRAYING WASHER FLUID, REGARDLESS OF THE SWITCH SETTING. THE WIPERS WILL COME ON AND SPRAY WASHER FLUID WITHIN THE FIRST MINUTE OF STARTING THE VEHICLE, AND WILL TURN THEMSELVES OFF WHEN IN USE, OR GO INTO A CONTINUOUS SPRAY MODE WHEN BEING USED, CAUSING VISIBILITY TO BE NONEXISTENT. WHEN THE FUSE WAS PULLED TO PREVENT FURTHER SCRATCHING TO THE WINDSHIELD FOR A TEMPORARY REPRIEVE, THE WIPERS CONTINUED TO GO, WITH NO CHANGE. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS LESS THAN 135,000 MILES. THE ISSUE FIRST STARTED THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2015 AND HAS PROGRESSED SINCE THEN. IT BEGAN WITH ONE SWIPE OF THE WIPERS JUST AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND HAS TURNED INTO AN ISSUE DURING ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS.
AS IDENTIFIED IN RECALL # 14V755000, THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS WILL TURN OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. THIS HAVE HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES DURING DARKNESS HOURS AND IS INCREASING. IN ONE CASE, AN ACCIDENT WAS BARELY AVOIDED. I WAS RECENTLY (NOV. 13, 2015) TOLD BY THE GM DEALER - THE VEHICLE VIN # DOES NOT LIST THIS AS A RECALL ITEM. ???? LAST OCCURENCE IS LISTED BELOW.

THE FRONT DRIVE AXLE THAT GOES THROUGH THE OIL PAN HOUSING BECAME OFF BALANCED, AND THE VIBRATIONS CAUSED SEQUENTIAL BREAKDOWNS THROUGH ALL OF THE CONNECTING PARTS DURING NORMAL USE, SUCH AS THE OIL PAN AXLE SEALS, FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SEALS, FRONT DIFFERENTIAL INTERNAL GEARS, CV JOINTS, WHEEL SEALS, AND THE CORRESPONDING FRONT AXLE SYSTEMS. WHEN THE WHEEL SEAL VIBRATED LOOSE, THE GEAR LUBE SPRAYED OVER THE ENGINE BLOCK, AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SHOP. THE MECHANIC PREDICTS THAT THE OFFENDING OFF-BALANCED AXLE MAY LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING IF NOT REPLACED. NOTE: THE DATE LISTED IS THE DATE OF THE FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, BUT THERE ARE MANY ONGOING ISSUES WITH ALL OF THE PARTS LISTED, ESPECIALLY THE INTERNAL DISINTEGRATION OF THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL.

I FILLED UP MY TANK YESTERDAY. ONE HOUR LATER, STARTED THE CAR AND THE FUEL GUAGE READ ZERO, WITH LOW FUEL INDICATOR ON. NOW IT'S INTERMITTENT, NEVER GOING ABOVE 3/4 FULL. I HAVE PRINTED OUT THE NHTSA'S INVESTIGATIONS NUMBER DP 10-001AND PE 11-014. I HAVE HEARD THAT GM IS WILLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR 1/2 PRICE. WHAT IS 1/2 PRICE? 1/2 OF WHAT? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NEXT?
FUEL GAUGE SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE, CANNOT DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK, VEHICLE STALLED AND RAN OUT OF GAS WHEN THE GAUGE SHOWED GAS IN THE TANK.
MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON WHEN STARTING MY VEHICLE, AND WON'T TURN OFF! AND WILL SPRAY THE WIPER FLUID OUT AS WELL, UNTIL IT'S COMPLETELY GONE.
REF:14V755000 PER HTE ABOVE RECALL, AS PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED I HAD REPLACED THE HEADLIGHT BULBS AT LEAST 4 TIMES IN A 1 1/2 YEAR PERIOD. THE LAST TIME THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE I LEFT IT AS IS AWAITING A FIX. ON OR ABOUT THE FIRST OF THIS MONTH WE CAME OUT OF AN ESTABLISHMENT AFTER DARK AND AS I STARTED TO DRIVE OFF IT BECAME APPARENT THAT NEITHER LOW BEAM LIGHTS WERE LIT. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE HOME WITH HIGH BEAMS ON, CREATING A SAFETY CONDITION FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS IT PROBABLY BLINDED THEM. I ONCE AGAIN INSTALLED 2 NEW HEADLIGHT BULBS. IT IS APPARENT THAT GM DOES NOT CONSIDER THIS SAFETY PROBLEM AS BEING SERIOUS AS THEY HAVE NOT MADE A FIX FOR IT. PERHAPS YOU SHOULD HIT THEM WITH A MILLION DOLLAR FINE TO GET THEIR ATTENTION TO GET THIS SAFETY ITEM CORRECTED. AS SOON AS I TURN ON MY CAR, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL TURN ON AS WELL, EVEN THOUGH THEY AREN'T SWITCHED ON. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO STAY ON FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE DRIVE. I HAVE TRIED TO SWITCH FROM THE ON AND OFF POSITION AND IT WILL SOMETIMES HELP, BUT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT WHERE THAT HAS NO AFFECT EITHER. DRIVING ALONG AT 30 MPH AND STEPPED ON GAS TO SPEED UP TO 45 MPH WHICH WAS THE NEW SPEED LIMIT, WHEN TRIED TO ACCELERATE I HAD NOTHING. IT WAS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN NEUTRAL. I STARTED TRUCK AT NIGHT NOTICED NO HEADLIGHTS .I HAD PARKING LIGHTS AND MY BRIGHT LIGHTS WORKED. I MANUALLY TURNED THE LIGHT SWITCH TO OFF AND ON AND STILL DID NOT WORK. ON 7/9/15 I BROUGHT MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER (PURCHASED USED IN OCTOBER OF 2013) TO MY MECHANIC AT MIDAS MUFFLER IN BANGOR DUE TO AN ISSUE I WAS HAVING FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS REGARDING THE ELECTRIC WINDOW/DOOR LOCK ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WHEREAS I HAVE BEEN INTERMITTENTLY UNABLE TO ROLL MY WINDOWS UP OR DOWN AND I HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN MY VEHICLE AND UNABLE TO GET OUT THREE TIMES. THEY REMOVED THE DOOR PANEL AND FOUND THAT WATER HAD BEEN LEAKING INTO THE DOOR AND CAUSED CORROSION TO THE MODULE THAT CONTROLS THESE FUNCTIONS. I WAS TOLD THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. THEY HAD CALLED THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD THEM THAT THE RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE HAD BEEN FULFILLED IN AUGUST OF 2013. ON 7/13/15, I CALLED GM TO INQUIRE REGARDING THIS RECALL SINCE WHEN THE RECALL WAS ISSUED, IT STATED THAT "PARTS FOR THE REMEDY ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE." I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY LETTER STATING THAT PARTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IT IS, IN MY OPINION, THAT THE "FIX" THAT WAS DONE IN AUGUST 2013 DID NOT "FIX" THE ISSUE AND THIS HAS CAUSED THE SAME PROBLEM TO REOCCUR. GM TOLD ME THAT THE FIX WOULD BE MY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE RECALL NOTICE ON YOUR WEBSITE ALSO STATES, "VEHICLES WHOSE MODULES WERE MODIFIED BUT NOT REPLACED AS A PART OF THE PREVIOUS RECALL REMEDY MUST HAVE THEIR VEHICLES REMEDIED AGAIN UNDER THIS CAMPAIGN." I AM NOT SURE WHETHER OR NOT THE MODULE WAS REPLACED IN AUGUST 2013 AS I DID NOT OWN THE VEHICLE AT THAT TIME, HOWEVER, I DO FEEL THAT THE REMEDY THAT WAS DONE ON THAT DATE DID NOT FIX THE LEAKAGE ISSUE AND THEREFORE GM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE MODULE NOW AND ALSO FIXING THE LEAKAGE ISSUE SO THIS DOES NOT OCCUR AGAIN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS I HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN AND UNABLE TO GET OUT OF MY VEHICLE THREE TIMES ALREADY, AND ALSO, ACCORDING TO THE ORIGINAL RECALL, THIS CAN BE A FIRE HAZARD
