Side airbags deployed when we slid off the road. No impact not even a scratch or dent on the vehicle. We did not hit anything but only slid sideways off the road. The insurance company inspected the vehicle nothing but the airbags were damaged. No other warnings.
Seat belts all lock up and back latch falls when opening
For several years now, when someone sits on the front passenger seat, the airbag light will intermittently come on. It also comes on if the person gets out of the seat. I took the vehicle to a dealership and they charged me over $100 to diagnose, and said the cable was loose and they fixed it. The next day it started doing this same thing again, but it doesn't happen when the dealer looks at the vehicle to replicate and fix the issue.
DRIVING EAST IN THE FAR LEFT LANE WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE, FORD TAURUS, ENTERED THE LANE CAUSING A HEAD ON COLLISION. I WAS TRAVELING WITHIN THE SPEED LIMITS. I HAVE INJURIES AND REINJURED PARTS OF MY BODY. OCTOBER 26 2020.
AIRBAG LIGHT ON DASH IS MAINLY ON.... 95%+ OF THE TIME.... NO INFORMATION ON CODE READER, TO TELL WHY OR WHICH AIRBAG IS MAKING LIGHT COME ON....AND I DON'T KNOW IF THIS MEANS THAT ALL WOULDN'T WORK OR JUST ONE OR???

THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V118000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 167,000.
HIT A DEER DIDN'T DO NO DAMAGE TO THE CAR THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED BUT NOT ALL THE FRONT AIRBAGS JUST THE ONE IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND PASSENGER SIDE DASH

THE CONTACT STATED THAT TWO CHILDREN SEATED IN THE THIRD ROW SEATS WAS INJURED DUE TO THE SEAT BELT NOT RETAINING THEIR FORWARD MOTION. THE TWO CHILDREN SEATED IN THE THIRD ROW OF THE VEHICLE HIT THEIR HEADS ON THE SEAT BACK OF THE MIDDLE ROW SEATS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS SOUGHT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR CENTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V375000 (SEAT BELTS) OR 14V266000 (SEAT BELTS. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
WHEN DRIVING IT ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE CAR AND FLASHED THE WORDS: TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE STABILITY, REAR PARK ASSIST OFF, ENGINE POWER BEING REDUCED. THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 70 MPH TO ABOUT 25 MPH. I WAS ALMOST HIT BY THE OTHER VEHICLES AS THIS HAPPENED. THE SEATBELT HAS ALSO NOT BEEN LATCHING FULLY AND THIS MORNING THE AIRBAG SENSOR CAME ON AND SAID CHECK THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. BUT THEN WENT OFF AFTER ABOUT 20 SECONDS, WHILE I WAS STATIONARY.THIS IS CLEARLY HAZARDOUS AND MAKES DRIVING TO WORK AND TO MY CHILDREN'S THINGS IMPOSSIBLE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. NOW I'VE DONE MY RESEARCH AND WHAT MOST PEOPLE BELIEVED AND MECHANICS WAS THAT IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY SENSOR BEING DIRTY, WE HAD THIS CLEANED LAST YEAR. THIS ALSO SEEMED TO ONLY OCCUR AFTER THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE GOES BELOW 30 DEGREES. PEOPLE ALSO HAVE FOUND THAT IT MAY BE THE ENGINE MODULE SYSTEM THAT WAS SERVICED OR SOMETIMES THE CATALYST CONVERTER. BUT EVEN AFTER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THESE THINGS SERVICED THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ORDEAL I HAVE AND THAT'S AFTER HAVING 3 OR MORE MECHANICAL REPAIRS WITH NO CLUE ON WHAT IS ACTUALLY CAUSING THE PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT WAS INJURED BUT NOT TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO A HOSPITAL SHE WENT TO THE DOCTOR THE SAME DAY DAY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED AWAY TO A SALVAGE LOT. THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING THE CRASH.THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000. TF
VEHICLE HAS 140,000 MILES ON IT AND MY AIR BAG LIGHT AS WELL AS "SERVICE AIR BAG" SHOWING UP IN MY INDICATOR IS ON CONSTANT. MY MECHANIC IS STATING THIS FALLS UNDER AN EXISTING RECALL #15536, BUT YET MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THAT SPECIFIC RECALL SO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE WANTS TO CHARGE ME TO REPAIR THIS. MY MECHANIC STATES THE CONNECTOR UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS THE ISSUE. THIS LIGHT INITIALLY STARTED AS JUST FLASHING ON OCCASION, NOW IT IS ON SOLID, NEVER GOES OFF. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT IN MY VEHICLE. NO REASON AS TO WHY THIS WOULD ALL OF A SUDDEN BECOME AN ISSUE.
THE MIDDLE BENCH SEAT BELTS WONT CLICK INTO THE BUCKLE PROPERLY, IT BECOMES LOOSE ON ITS OWN. PUTTING IN DANGER MY CHILDREN BECAUSE THEIR CAR SEATS CAN'T BE BUCKLED IN PROPERLY.
THE STEEL CABLE ON THE SUPPORT ANCHOR TO THE SEATBELT SNAPPED WHILE MY WIFE WAS FASTENING IT. THIS HAD A RECALL IN 2014 AND WAS FIXED ACCORDING TO RECORDS. CHEVROLET WAS CONTACTED SAID PROBLEM WAS FIXED, RECALL WAS CLOSED, THIS IS "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" THIS WOULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IN AN ACCIDENT. SHE WAS PARKED AND GETTING READY TO PULL OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY.
