TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN RATE OF SPEED, THE TRACTION, BRAKE, AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE HYDRAULIC BRAKE MODULE AND BRAKE PUMP. THE MECHANIC CALLED SEVERAL UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALERS AND EACH DEALER INFORMED HIM THAT THE PART WAS DISCONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 149,000.
WITH THE WIPERS ON, ALL OF A SUDDEN, THEY WILL START TO SKITTER ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD THEN STOP AND START AGAIN THEN SPEED UP AND SLOW DOWN. IF THEY ARE TURNED OFF THE WIPERS WILL CONTINUE TO RUN THEN FINALLY STOP HALFWAY IN THE GLASS THEN FINALLY GOTO THE RESTING POSITION. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY AT ANY TIME OF YEAR. I HAVE HAD THE WIPER SWITCH REPLACED HOPING THAT THE RELAY IN THE SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS THE ISSUE BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.
I HAVE REPLACE THE AIR ACTUATOR DOOR TWICE WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM WITH THIS HE KEEPS BREAKING MAKING A CLICKING SOUND
MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DOES NOT COME BACK UP AFTER BEING LET DOWN, USING THE DRIVER WINDOW BUTTON OR THE PASSENGER BUTTON. I HAVE REPLACED THE MOTOR, THE SWITCH AND REGULATOR BUT SAME ISSUE. I HAVE RESEARCH AND LOOKED ONLINE WHERE THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM EVEN AFTER THE INDIVIDUALS REPLACED ALL PARTS FROM 2004- UP UNTIL NOW.
I HAVE BEEN TIWED TWICE A D STUCK ON SIDE OF THE ROAD 4 TIMES. I'LL BE DRIVING ALONG WHEN EVERYTHING JUST QUITS. ENGINE, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. ONE TIME I WAS JUST ABOUT TO GET ON A HIGHWAY. COULDN'T GET CAR 100% OFF ROAD. VERY DANGEROUS. WHEN I TRY TO RESTART CAR IT TRYS TO START. I LET GO OF KEY AND CAJR JUST KEEPS TRYING TO START. AFTER BEING TOWED TWICE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP. SO WHEN IT QUITS I GIVE IT ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES AND IT STARTS. GOOGLED AND PEOPLE HAVING SAME PROBLEM. UPON INVESTIGATING I FOUND THAT CHRYSLER, JEEP HAS BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2011 AND DID A RECALL ON THE 2015S. IF THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM, WHY AREN'T THEY FIXING IT??

THE CONTACT STATED THE ENGINE OVERHEAT WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V487000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 148,000.*DT*JB
TRANSMISSION IS GOING AFTER JUST 8 YEARS OLD!!!!!
THE CAR CONSISTENTLY STALLS OUT AT LEAST 4-6 TIMES A TRIP IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, IF NOT MORE. IT ALSO HONKS ON ITS OWN DURING THAT TIME. IT WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND A SHOP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG
2012 CHRYSLER 200 ENGINE DIES WITHOUT WARNING WHEN DRIVING. RESTARTS AFTER 45 TO 60 MIN. CAR DIES ANYTIME, IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON 2 OCCASIONS - NO POWER STEERING, VERY HARD BRAKEING AND NEARLY CAUSING ACCIDENT. DIED IN FREEWAY TRAFFIC
CAR RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING 'SHIMMIES'. THE WHOLE CAR WILL SHAKE.
HEAD REST ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN. LOOKS LIKE THE PEACE OF PLASTIC THAT HELD THE HEAD REST TOGETHER BROKE. THIS WAS PLASTIC ON METAL ROD. AT THE TIME WHEN THIS HAPPEN NO ONE WAS SITTING ON THE SIT. WE WOULD OF HAD A VERY BAD HEAD INJURY IF SOMEONE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE.
I JUST HAD MY CAR PRE PURCHASE INSPECTED AND IT WAS REPORTED TO BE IN GREAT CONDITION. THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY ENGINE HAS STALLED TWICE IN THE LAST 72HOURS, WHEN COMING TO A STOP. I AM ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON, HOWEVER FEAR FOR MY SAFETY NOW WHENEVER I DRIVE IT. THESE EXACT ISSUES HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH OTHER 2012 CHRYSLER 200 MODELS, DUE TO CONNECTING ROD BEARING FAILURE AND I BELIEVE THIS MODEL HAS BEEN SIMILARLY EFFECTED. I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO A ENGINE RECALL AS WELL, DUE TO THE IDENTICAL ISSUES THAT I AM EXPERIENCING.
DRIVER SIDE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WHILE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED A CONVENIENCE STORE, WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, HITTING THE DRIVER ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD AND STARTLING HIM. VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. HEAD RESTRAINT COULD NOT BE RESET AND BROKEN PLASTIC PIECES COULD BE SEEN IN HEADREST.
MY ABS LIGHT HAS TURNED ON.AND MY ABS ISN'T WORKING.ALSO MY RADIO ALSO IS ONLY WORKING INTERMITTENTLY.
THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM ON MY CAR. FIRST THE LIGHTS WOULD TURN ON AND OFF, THEN THE ALARM WOULD GO OFF, THEN THE RADIO STOPPED TURING ON, THE AC STOPPED WORKING AND NOW IT WON'T TURN ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL ODOR OF RADIATOR FLUID DETECTED IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WENT TO THE RESIDENCE, AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
ON JUNE 21ST, 2020 I WAS AT A RED LIGHT WHEN A VAN HIT ME IN THE REAR AND MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ME AND MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE IN THE CAR AND INJURED. I GOT TAKING TO THE HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY AND MY REST OF MY FAMILY WENT AFTER I WAS TAKEN IN. *TR
ENGINE KEEPS SHUTTING OFF IN TRAFFIC, AT STOP SIGN. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF. CAR SHUT OFF ON ME IN MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WHICH PUT ME AT RISK FOR BEING IN A BAD ACCIDENT. THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION AND I FEAR FOR MY STAY EVERYTIME I'M DRIVING MY VEHICLE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A LEFT TURN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OURISMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF ALEXANDRIA LOCATED AT 5900 RICHMOND HWY, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22303, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 114,000.
I own a 2012 Chrysler 200, That I Purchased Used but in excellent condition from a reputable dealer, and had a private pre-purchase inspection by a Mechanic (showing no major issues, and I have that report). I drove my car for just around 10-14 months, performed regular maintenance, and had no issues mechanically or otherwise. On the date this Incident occurred I had travelled in the car throughout that day doing some shopping (and the vehicle ran perfectly). We got home around 8:45pm, I dropped my nana off, and got in the car to go get some dinner. While still on my road (which is dark, curvy, has drop offs and no shoulders) as I rounded a curve my car with NO WARNING, completely died. I lost engine power, power steering, lights, headlights, and my brakes became incredibly weak. I could not be seen be seen by other motorists could not use my hazards, and just by dumb luck I made it over the hill with my momentum and had to struggle( NO Pwr. Steeing) to steer across the other lane on a blind curve with no lights, I was nearly hit by another driver, and got into a vacant lot and required my brake + Emrg. Brake to get the car stopped before it hit the structure on the lot. (I know for a fact I had no warning either mechanically or warning light - because I was looking at my dash panel checking speed at the time of failure) I had to have it towed home. A mechanic diagnosed it as a TIPM failure. After researching I found that this was a widely known/occurring failure on several Chrysler branded vehicles, It is a serious safety hazard for obvious reasons - I nearly got hit myself. Chrysler even recalled the faulty TIPM's on some of their BRAND NEW models but refuses to help owners who's cars are 4-5+ years old. And I can't even spend the Ludacris amount of money for a new one because without a recall and resolution of the defect, I'm just buying another Defective TIPM for $1000+ dollars. This is not only a danger to those in defective cars but others on the road.
I LEFT MY HOME, IN MY VEHICLE WHICH HAD BEEN RUNNING COMPLETELY NORMALLY WITH NO DASH LIGHTS ON, OVERHEATING, LEAKING, ETC. I LIVE ON A DANGEROUS ROAD (IT'S EXTREMELY CURVY, DARK, HAS A HIGH ACCIDENT RATE AND NO SHOULDERS JUST 12FT. DEEP CONCRETE DITCHES ON BOTH SIDES. I LEFT HOME AROUND 9:35PM AND MADE IT APPROX. .5-1 MILE AND BRAKED SLIGHTLY TO TAKE A SHARP CURVE, AND WITH NO WARNING MY ENGINE STALLS COMPLETELY (ALSO CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING). I WAS DOING ROUGHLY 25-30 MPH. WHEN THE ENGINE DIED. THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING CAUSED ME TO BE UNABLE TO KEEP MY VEHICLE SAFELY IN MY LANE ON THIS SHARP TURN (I WAS JUST LUCKY THAT THE ONCOMING LANE WAS CLEAR). LUCK IS ALSO ALL THAT PREVENTED ME FROM BREAKING DOWN AWKWARDLY POSITIONED RIGHT IN A DARK BLIND CURVE. I WAS ABLE TO COAST ON WHAT LITTLE SPEED I HAD LEFT, TO ONE OF THE ONLY SAFE PULL OFFS ON MY ROAD ( I BARELY HAD ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO DO THAT, AND IT WAS JUST BY CHANCE THAT I WAS BY THE SPOT WHERE IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF THE ROADWAY. I HAVE SEEN WELL OVER 50 ONLINE COMPLAINTS SO FAR, OF OWNERS OF 2012 CHRYSLER 200'S WHO HAVE SUFFERED FAILURES PRACTICALLY IDENTICAL TO MINE. MY VEHICLE HAD BEEN IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE/OIL CHANGE JUST A WEEK OR SO PRIOR TO THIS, THE INSPECTION REVEALED NO ISSUES NEEDING ATTENTION. THE CAR RUNS PERFECTLY NORMAL RIGHT UP TO THE MOMENT YOU LOOSE ALL POWER AND YOUR ABILITY TO STEER WITH ANY PRECISION OR SPEED. THIS PROBLEM IS OBVIOUSLY FAIRLY COMMON IN THIS VEHICLE, SERIOUSLY IMPAIRS YOUR ABILITY TO CONTROL THE CAR SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSES NO CHECK ENGINE WARNING THEREFORE NO ERROR CODE TO DIAGNOSE BY, AND DEPENDING ON YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES AND LUCK AT THE TIME COULD EITHER CAUSE A GIANT INCONVENIENCE OR A SERIOUS TRAGEDY. CHRYSLER ALREADY RECALLED FOR A NEARLY IDENTICAL ISSUE BUT ONLY INCLUDED THE 2015 MODELS. THEY NEED TO ADDRESS THIS BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. *TR
VEHICLES STALLS WHILE DRIVING RANDOMLY, THIS COULD BE 5 MINUTES OR 2 HOURS AFTER VEHICLE IS DRIVEN, AND AFTER VEHICLE SITS FOR A WHILE, 1/2 HOUR TO AN HOUR, VEHICLE STARTS RIGHT UP WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY HISTORY/PENDING/CURRENT CODES.. DEALERSHIP HAS ALREADY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP BUT PROBLEMS PERSISTS. HAVE SEEN MANY SIMILAR CASES OF THIS VEHICLE STALLING AND THEN IT STARTS RIGHT UP AFTER SITTING FOR SOME TIME. *TR
THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS AND THE HEAD AND BACK LIGHTS WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF. THE CAR HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVIING IN TRAFFIC. SOMETIMES IT DOESNT START AT ALL , I HAVE TO BAQNG THE DOOR AND THEN THE LOGHTAS WILL COME ON. I PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND ALTINTOR IN THE CAR AND MY NECHNANIC DOESNT HAVE A CLUE WHAT IS WRONG WOTH IT. BELIEVE IT TO BE THE COMPUTER SYSTEM.

THE CAR RANDOMLY LOSES POWER ALONG WITH THE POWER STEERING AND CUTS OFF. I COULD BE DRIVING FOR 30 MINS AND IT'LL BE JUST FINE THEN OUT OF NO WHERE IT MAY CUT OFF AT STOP LIGHT, WHILE I'M DECELERATING OR EVEN TRYING TO GAS UP. IT HAS CUT OFF NUMEROUS TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR LIGHT AND I'LL ONLY KNOW BY THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING OR NOTICING THE RPM GAUGE DROPPING TO 0. SOMETIMES IT'LL START UP JUST FINE RIGHT AFTERWARDS LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED AND SOMETIMES IT'LL TAKE A MINUTE OR TWO TO START UP. IT MAY START A RIGHT BACK UP THEN CUT RIGHT BACK OFF OR IT MAY START UP AND BE FINE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. SOMETIMES IT ONLY STARTS BACK UP WHEN I DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL FOR A FEW SECONDS. *TR
A RECALL WAS ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM AND WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR. WE WE'RE TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER AND WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE LATER. NOW, SEVEN MONTHS LATER. UPON CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP, THEY HAVE THE VEHICLE LISTED AS COMPLETE WITHOUT ANY REPAIRS.
THERE WAS COLD AIR COMING OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR VENTS. THIS WOULD TAKE A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME TO DEFROST THE WINDOWS. THE AIR WAS ABOUT AS COLD AS THE STATIC OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE. THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR WOULD EVENTUALLY HEAT UP THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD TO SAFELY DRIVE. HOWEVER, IF IT WAS BELOW 20F OUTSIDE THE DRIVERS SIDE HEAT WOULD NOT BE HOT ENOUGH TO KEEP THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DEFOGGED. THIS POSED A LOT OF SAFETY CONCERNS CURSING ALONG THE HIGHWAY. LATER, THIS WAS DEEMED TO BE A CLOGGED/FAULTY PASSENGER SIDE HEATER-CORE WHICH HAD TO BE REPLACED. AFTER THIS WAS REPLACED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR IS ABOUT AS HOT AS THE DRIVERS SIDE NOW. THE DEFROST TIMES ARE EQUAL ON BOTH SIDES DURING COLD STARTS AND VISIBILITY IS BACK TO NORMAL. THE MECHANIC RECOMMENDS DOING AN ANNUAL COOLING FLUSH TO PREVENT THE HEATER CORE FROM BECOMING FAULTY IN THE FUTURE. ALTHOUGH THEY SAID EVEN THAT ISN'T A GUARANTEE TO SOLVE THE ISSUE ENTIRELY. APPARENTLY THE HEATER CORE HAS A CRITICAL DESIGN ISSUE. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT IS VERY FORTUNATE THAT THIS HAPPENED WHILE NO ONE WAS SITTING IN THE CHAIR AT THAT TIME. MY QUESTION IS, WILL THIS ALSO HAPPEN WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE HEAD REST?
THE WINDOW CONTROLS ON THE DRIVERS DOOR STOPPED WORKING. NONE OF THE WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN. THE CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION OR IN ANY ACCIDENT, THEY JUST STOPPED WORKING
THE HEATER CORE BECOME CLOGGED PREVENTING AIR FLOW, TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. I EVEN DID THE REGULAR SCHEDULED COOLANT FLUSHES TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING, AND IT STILL HAPPENED. IT BECOMES DANGEROUS AS THE VEHICLE HEATER CORE BECOMES SO BACKED UP THAT NOT EVEN A FULL HEATER CORE FLUSH CAN SAVE IT. I HAVE READ ON LINE THAT THIS IS A ISSUE THAT HAPPENS TO A LOT CHRYSLER VEHICLES, AND IT SOUNDS AS IF IT HAS TO DO A LOT TO WITH THE CAR WAS MANUFACTURED THROUGH THE SAND CAST PROCESS. THE CAR HAS OVERHEATED ALSO HAS A HARD TIME KEEPING THE CAR WARM BECAUSE OF THE CLOGGED HEATER CORE. THIS PROBLEM HAS EFFECTED MANY OF THE 200 VEHICLES , AND IM SURPRISED THAT A RESOLVE HAS NOT BE BROUGHT OUT YET., IT ALMOST GOT ME IN A ACCIDENT ON THE TURNPIKE BECAUSE I COULDN'T DEFROST THE WINDOWS.
HEAT IS NOT COMING OUT OF RIGHT SIDE VENTS, BLOWING COLD AIR. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY FOUND AN ISSUE WITH THE HEATER CORE AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THERE'S A BUILD UP OF BROWN SLUDGE IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. CAR HAS 68000 MILES ON IT. THIS WILL BE THE SECOND REPLACEMENT. LAST ONE WAS REPLACED AT 37,000 MILES.

WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A LEFT TURN THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START VEHICLE THERE WAS ABNORMAL TICKING NOISE DETECTED. THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, THE SPEEDOMETER WAS INOPERABLE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
MY SEAT POPS OUT SOMETIME WHEN DRIVING. IT HAPPENS ANYTIME WHETHER IN MOTION OR STATIONARY HENCE THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON.
I THINK MY CAR HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WINDOW START AND STOP WORKING . I REPLACED A HEADLIGHT AND IT STARTS AND STOPS WORKING AT ONE POINT MY STARTED STOPPED AND STARTED WORKING. MY HEADREST DEPLOYED ON PASSENGER SIDE WHILE DRIVING AND IT'S A BIG SPACE NOW ON IT
FUEL PUMP FAILURE, TRIGGERED HEAVY GASOLINE SMELL IN THE CAR SUFFOCATING BREATHING
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER, STARTED SMELLING SOMETHING VERY BAD COMING FROM HVAC SYSTEM AND WINDOWS BECAME VERY FOGGY. I HAD TO ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN WITH THE DEFROST ON IN ORDER TO SEE. VISION WAS STILL IMPAIRED. AFTER LETTING IT SIT, A FILM APPEARED ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH IS HARD TO REMOVE. FURTHER IMPAIRING VISION. PRIOR TO THIS, HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE STOPPED WORKING SO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT DEFROST QUICKLY. CURRENTLY HAVE IT IN THE SHOP. THEY ARE GUESSING IT'S THE HEATER CORE, A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. ESTIMATED COST STARTING AT $900.

THE CONTACT STATED THE SHE ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE WITH WATER HOWEVER, SHE WAS UNABLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE CONTACT A DISABLE PERSON, WAS SCARED FOR HER SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER WHERE SHE SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND LATER TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO LONE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER, (8811 INTERSTATE 35 ACCESS RD, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78211) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NOW THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO LOCK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SENT OUT A THIRD PARTY AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DOOR WAS BADLY BURNED AND THERE WAS NOTING ELSE THEY COULD DO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY UNKNOWN.
ON 1/12/2020 WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK I TURNED ON MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL TO MERGE AND IT RAPIDLY CLICKED AND FLASHED ON THE DASH AFTER THE INITIAL 3 NORMAL FLASHES AND I NOTICED THE CAR IN THE LANE NEXT TO ME WASN'T ACKNOWLEDGING MY TURN SIGNAL. ONCE HOME AN HOUR LATER, I REALIZED MY PASSENGER REAR TAIL LIGHT WAS STEADILY LIGHT (NOT FLASHING) EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS OFF AND MY LIGHTS WERE NOT ENGAGED AND POSITION OFF. I COULD NOT GET MY TURN SIGNAL/TAIL LIGHT TO TURN OFF. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK FINE WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED BUT THE TAIL LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF. THE REAR SIGNAL WON'T WORK EITHER SINCE THE LIGHT WON'T TURN OFF TO FLASH. I HAD TO REMOVE THE LIGHT FROM THE REAR FENDER AND UNPLUG THE LIGHT SO MY CAR WON'T DIE AND PLUG IT BACK IN WHEN I GO TO DRIVE SO I ATLEAST HAVE THE TAIL AND BRAKE LIGHT ON WHILE DRIVING. I CAN FIND NO INFO ON HOW TO FIX THIS AND CHRYSLER WASN'T ANY HELP. THE PROBLEM IS STILL UNRESOLVED, BUT IT DID GO OFF FOR JUST ONE MOMENT, FLICKERED AND CAME BACK ON WHEN I PLUGGED IT BACK IN THE LAST TIME I DROVE.
THE ABS AND TERRAIN LIGHTS STAY ON, WHEN CAR REACHES 60 MPH IT PULLS.
STARTED WITH THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS COMING ON, MY CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED COMING ON AND A WEEK LATER I PULLED OUT OF THE BANK AND STOPPED ALONE SIDE OF THE CURB AND THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF, NO RESTARTING AT ALL NOTHING HAPPENS, THE RIGHT INFO PANEL SAID NO BUS, ITS AT THE CHRYSLER DEALER SHIP NOW AND THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT AT ALL, EVEN THOUGH IT WONT COME ON.
I ONLY HAVE HEAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR. WE JUST HIT OUR 100,000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. HAD THE CAR IN THE SHOP TWICE WITH COOLANT SMELLS. MECHANICS NEVER FOUND A PROBLEM. EVERYWHERE I READ THERE ARE TONS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A $1000.00 REPAIR! A FLUSH IS $150-170. WE HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS. I'M READY TO TRADE IT IN BUT I DO LOVE MY CAR. NOT SURE ABOUT HOW I FEEL ABOUT CHRYSLER KNOWING ABOUT A ISSUE AND NOT OFFERING ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR. MAYBE THEY BETTER SEND OUT A MASSIVE REBATE TO OLD OWNERS IN HOPES OF THEM STAYING A CUSTOMER.
CAR WAS IN MOTION LEAVING A SHOPPING AREA, TURNING RIGHT AND ACCELERATING ONTO A 4 LANE HIGHWAY. AS 45 MPH WAS ACHIEVED, THE CAR DECELERATED AND STALLED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. I LOOKED UP THE ETC INFORMATION AND READ I MAY BE ABLE TO TRY AGAIN TO DRIVE THE CAR. I DID TRY AND ROLLED ON THE SHOULDER FOR ABOUT 1/4 MILE BEFORE HAVING TO ACCELERATE THOUGH AN INTERSECTION. AT THAT POINT, CAR REPEATED THE ABOVE FAILURE AND STALLED. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN AND COAST INTO A PARKING LOT. THE CAR WAS TOWED. WHILE WAITING ON THE TOW, I READ SEVERAL REPORTS OF THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRING IN THIS MODEL VEHICLE, OFTEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE OR IN OTHER DANGEROUS LOCATIONS LIKE AN INTERSECTION. THIS FAILURE HAPPENED WITH NO WARNING - NO SPUTTERING, HESITATION OR WARNING LIGHTS UNTIL THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THIS FAILURE COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. IT LOOKS TO ME TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE AND SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO RECALL.

WHITE SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE & THEN THE CAR WAS MAKING A KNOCKING SOUND. AT THE STOPLIGHT WAITING TO TURN OUR CAR ENDED UP SHUTTING OFF & NOT STARTING.
MY CHRYSLER 200 WAS PURCHASED ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO SINCE I PURCHASED IT FROM FLORIDA AND I RESIDE IN ALABAMA I WAS TOLD BY THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN MOBILE THAT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO HISTORY. MY CAR IS RANDOMLY STALLING AND LOOSING ALL POWER TO ENGINE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP OR SLOW DOWN THERE IS NO CODES ON DASHBOARD. PCM WAS REPLACED STILL SAME ISSUE. IT IS VERY LIKELY THIS WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO WARNING. IT CUT OFF TONIGHT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 35MPH. THIS IS DANGEROUS
NO HEAT . HEATER CORE AND RADIATOR HAD TO BE REPLACED BY CHRYSLER DEALER AT A COST OF $1600.00. HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT WOULD NOT COVER COST. I UNDERSTAND FROM THE DEALER THAT THIS A MAJOR ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE BUT CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE RESPONSIBILITY ONLY ADVICE ON HOW TO REPAIR.
SO TWO WEEKS BACK ON ON SEPT. 19 MY CAR BROKE DOWN... WHICH I DON'T GET BECAUSE DEALERSHIP SAID DUE TOO IMPROPER LUBRICATION IN THE ENGINE, ALWAYS CHANGED MY OIL AND FILTER AND COOLANT OR ANYTHING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT SAID MILEAGE. ALSO IN TOLD ME CYLINDER 4 BY DEALERSHIP WAS MY PROBLEM TILL IT BLOWN ALWAYS KEPT OIL SAME AND HEARD ABOUT IT NEVER TRIED TO DRIVE IT TILL I FOUND OUT WHY I HAVE THIS PROBLEM... WAS TOLD S.O.L !!! SO NOW HAVE NO CAR TO GET MY KID OR WORK WALK AND ASK FOR RIDES AND STILL MAKING PAYMENTS FOR THIS ONLY HAVE 109,614 MILES ON FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD OF HAPPENED AT 200,000 MILES OR MORE I TAKE CARE OF MY CAR THING WAS MY JOY FOR WORK OR MY KID SO PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY....
HEATER CORE...DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE. DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, RESEARCH REVIEWS OF CHRYSLER'S NEGLIGENCE WITH MANY MAKES & MODELS FOR THEIR INEFFECTIVE HEATER CORE. THE COST TO FIX IS NOT CHEAP (I CAN SHOW RECEIPT) VERY FEW SHOPS WILL WORK ON HEATER CORE FOR THIS CAR. CAR HAS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH HEATER CORE, & I DO NOT WANT TO EVEN GIVE MY STORY AS I WOULD JUST BECOME EVEN MORE INFURIATED. ASHAME NO LAWSUITS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL AGAINST CHRYSLER. IT'S BAD ENOUGH THESE IDIOTS DESIGNED A VEHICLE YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF ENTIRE BUMPER FOR TO CHANGE HEADLIGHT BUMP (WHICH COST DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF THE ALREADY EXPENSIVE BULB). I HAVE A 2012 CHRYSLER 200 THAT STALLS RANDOMLY. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR SERVICE AND DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES AND NO RESULTS. THE SYSTEM HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CODES STORED IN THE SYSTEM. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO PEOPLE. IT HAS LEFT ME IN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATIONS MANY TIMES. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE OR SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AS I HAVE LEARNED IT HAS BEEN AFFECTING YEARS FROM 2011 TO 2016
