THE CONTACT WENT TO AVENTURA CHRYSLER AND JEEP IN MIAMI, FL AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CONFIRMED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA RECALL, BUT IT NO LONGER SHOWED UP UNDER THE VIN ALTHOUGH IT WASN'T REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT BOTH FAILURES, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.

MY VEHICLE JUST LEAKED ALL THE OIL COMPLETELY. I KNOW A SIGNIFICANT OIL LEAK CHECKED THE OIL AND THEIR WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I SENT IT IN FOR REPAIRS AND IT HAPPENED TO BE A BROKEN OIL COOLER. MY BIG CONCERNS IS IF THE OIL WASN'T COOLING RIGHT/TRANSFERRING I WONDER WHAT EFFECT SIT HAD ON MY ENGINE. FOR A THREE YEAR OLD VEHICLE THAT'S A HUGE AND SAD DEFECT.
TAKATA RECALL STILL HAS NO RESOLUTION FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WAS NOTIFIED IN OCTOBER AND STILL NOTHING ABOUT THEM FIXING IT. HOW LONG DO MY FAMILY AND I HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH FAULTY SEAT BELTS AND AIRBAGS?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS AND PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT LUNGED AND JERKED FORWARD WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE ABS FAILED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT NO FAILURES WERE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,257.
MY CAR HAD A ISSUE WITH ONE OF THE IGNITION COILS MALFUNCTIONING CAUSING THE PART TO MELT COMPLETELY MELT THROUGH THE VALVE COVER IN DEC. 2016. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO STOP WHILE IN MOTION AND ONCE I STEERED IT OFF ROAD, IT SMOKED BADLY. AT THIS TIME THE CAR HAD ABOUT 52000 MILES ON IT . AS OF JUNE 2017, THE RECALL DEALING WITH THE SEATBELTS AND AIRBAGS HAVE NOT BEEN FIXED NOR LOOKED AT. I ALLOWED THE CAR TO BE RETURNED VIA REPO BECAUSE I WAS OUT OF NEARLY $1000 DOLLARS PAYING THE DEALER TO FIX THE CAR AND PAY FOR MY OWN RENTAL FOR TWO WEEKS WHILE THE CORP. OFFICE SEND THE OK FOR IT TO BE FIXED!!
MY 2014 CHRYSLER 200 IS SUBJECT TO THE S61 RECALL BECAUSE THE AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT MAY NOT DEPLOY OR OPERATE PROPERLY IN AN ACCIDENT. FCA SAYS IT HAS NO FIX FOR THE ISSUE, BUT IS COMFORTABLE WITH PLACING MY YOUNG DAUGHTER'S LIFE AT RISK EVERY TIME SHE DRIVES. APPARENTLY IT IS CHEAPER FOR THEM TO PAY OFF IN A DEATH THAN REALLY TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE. THEY CLEARLY CAN DO SOMETHING SINCE THEY OFFER REIMBURSEMENT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD THE ISSUE FIXED AND THEY NO LONGER USE THAT FAULTY DEVICE IN THEIR NEW VEHICLES. CHRYSLER'S RESPONSE TO WAIT AND SEE IF SOMETHING HAPPENS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE FORCED TO TAKE THESE VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD AND PROVIDE COMPENSATION TO OWNERS EVEN IF THAT IS A DEAL TO TRADE AT THE CUSTOMER'S BENEFIT FOR AN EQUIVALENT CAR WITHOUT THIS ISSUE. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, ONE OF THEIR DEALERS WAS GOING TO "HELP" ME BY OFFERING ME $5000 LESS THAN BLUE BOOK VALUE ON A NEW COMMESURATE VEHICLE AND UPPING MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS BY $200.

LOCKS DON'T WORK. HAVE TO USE THE KEY FOB TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THEM, EVEN THEN THEY WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK SEVERAL TIMES EVEN THOUGH I ONLY PUSHED THE BUTTON ONCE.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 4 MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED MY RECALL NOTICE, AND STILL NO REPAIRS ARE AVAILABLE.
ON MY WAY HOME I WAS DRIVING IN A VERY HILLY LOCATION, WHILE ON A HILL MY CAR STAYED HAVING ISSUES ACCELERATING, A LIGHTNING BOLT LIGHT FLASHED ON AND THAN IT LEVELED OUT, KEPT HAPPENING ON AND OFF TILL I SRIPPED AT A GAS STATION. I WENT TO LEAVE AND PUT THE CASE IN REVERSE AND THE CAR ACCELERATED ON ITS ON CAUSING ME TO SLAM ON THE BREAKS OTHER WISE I WOULD HAVE RAMMER INTO THE GAS PUMP. SO I PULLED BACK INTO THE PARKING SPACE AND LOOKED UP WHAT THAT LIGHT WAS. IT SAID (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) I READ IF IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE SONCE I HAD MY 2 LITTLE ONES IN THE CAR WITH ME. IT SAID NOT TO, SO WE HAD TO GET A HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS 11PM. AND HAD TO WAIT TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP ON THE MORNING. ON THE WAY TO THE SHOP, IT STARTED PUTTERING SO BAD, DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO MAKE IT THERE. AND AT ONE POINT AFTER THE PUTTERING IT HAD LEVELED OUT AND THAN IT ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN AGAIN. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFTEY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE RECALLED! I SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO PAY $800 FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULDN'T BE MALFUNCTIONING AFTER ONLY OWNING IT FOR A YEAR! PUTTING ME, MY CHILDREN, AND OTHERS ON THE ROADS LIVES ON DANGER! RECALL THIS PART!

I WAS NOTIFIED BY MAIL THAT THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER WAS CAUSING A LOSS OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY DURING A CRASH. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE TO FIX MY VEHICLE FOR 2-5 MONTHS. I EXPLAINED THAT THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THAT I OWN AND I HAVE A CHILD RIDING WITH ME. I DRIVE AT LEAST 50 MILES PER DAY AND I FELT UNSAFE DRIVING KNOWING THIS ABOUT MY VEHICLE. THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO AND THAT THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. IF THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT THE SEATBELTS AND AIRBAGS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH I FEEL AS IF THEY NEED TO OFFER A OPTION FOR THE VEHICLE OWNERS WHO USE THIS VEHICLE AS THEIR DAILY DRIVER. "TAKATA RECALL". I FEEL VERY UNSAFE WITH THIS CAR AND AM AFRAID TO ALLOW ANY PASSENGER RIDE DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. I NEED TO SELL MY CAR FOR MY WORK AND I AM UNABLE TO TRADE IN, EVEN TO CHRYSLER WITHOUT A HUGE REDUCTION IN THE VALUE DUE TO THIS RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN OCT 2016 INFORMING ME ABOUT THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD BY CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE IN JUNE 2017. WHEN I CALLED IN JUNE 2017, I WAS TOLD AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER OF 2017. EACH WEEK AND MONTH THAT THIS IS DELAYED, MY CAR IS DEPRECIATING AND I AM LOSING MONEY BY NOT BEING ABLE TO TRADE IT IN FOR MY JOB. I CANNOT BELIEVE 1.4 MILLION PEOPLE ARE ACCEPTING THIS DELAY BY CHRYSLER. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TRADE IT IN AT IT'S VALUE, BUT NOT FOR LESS THAN IT IS WORTH. WHAT CAN I DO?

I PURCHASED A 2014 CHRYSLER 200 CONVERTIBLE IN LATE AUGUST THIS YEAR, THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM IN LOW BEAM THAT THE VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THIS VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY WITH ONLY 24K MILES. ALSO WHEN TURNING, YOU CANNOT SEE ROAD. HAVE READ ON INTERNET MANY COMPLAINTS OF OWNERS. CHRYSLER HAS NO SOLUTION. DRIVING IN LOW BEAM IS LIKE DRIVING WITH JUST PARKING LIGHTS ON. I'VE ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE 3 MONTHS, AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AT NIGHT. MANY, MANY OWNERS HAVE SAME COMPLAINTS ON INTERNET SITES. WHEN I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, I HAD TO TAKE IT IN FOR A RIGHT SIDE FRONT ALIGNMENT,, NOW I KNOW WHY, YOU CAN'T SEE THE ROAD WHEN MAKING TURNS. IT HAS BEEN OVER 6 MONTHS AND CHRYSLER STILL CANNOT REPAIR/REPLACE THE PROBLEM WITH AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT DEPLOYMENT. IT IS UNCONSCIONABLE THAT A CAR MANUFACTURER CAN JEOPARDIZE A PURCHASER LIFE BY SAYING BOTH THE AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY AND CAUSE INJURY, BUT WE CANNOT (WILL NOT) FIX IT.

ENGINE LIGHT ON. CYLINDER HEAD REPLACEMENT. I TOOK IT TO BLACKS TIRE SERVICE, THEY SAID THERE IS A MISFIRE IN THE ENGINE (ENGINE RUNNING ON 5 CYLINDERS VS 6 CYLINDERS). WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND I LET GO OF THE BRAKE, IT STALLS A BIT (SHAKES), IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF. IT ALSO STALLS WHEN I TAKE OFF.

I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WE BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY DON'T SERVICE CHRYSLERS. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID TOO BAD, WE CAN'T HELP YOU. MY WARRANTY JUST RAN OUT AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT WITH A 7 YEAR 100,000 MILE CERTIFIED WARRANTY,WITH 29,000 MILES. AT ABOUT 31,000 MILES WHILE CITY STREET DRIVING THE BRAKES STARTED GRINDING AND SQUEAKING WHEN COMING TO A STOP, TOOK TO DEALER, THEY SAID EVERY THING WAS FINE. ANOTHER 200 MILES SAME PROBLEM, RETURNED TO DEALER THEY CHANGED THE BRAKE PADS. 200-300 MORE MILES RETURNED TO DEALER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THEY SAID THEY CHANGED THE ROTORS. DRIVING ONE DAY APPLIED BRAKES AND THE ABS SYSTEM FAILED AND THE BRAKES DID A RAPID THUMPING SOUND AND I HAD NO BRAKES. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER AND NOT HIT ANYONE, ONCE AGAIN THEY CHECKED THE ROTORS AND THE BRAKES, SAID OK. MY FRONT RIMS ARE BLACK FROM BRAKE DUST. AROUND 40K MILES I NOTICED THAT MY AIR BAG DEPLOYED INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD LIGHT UP RANDOMLY AT FIRST BUT EVENTUALLY AND NOW AT 53K MILES IS ALWAYS ON AS IF MY AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED. I HAVE TAKEN THIS ISSUE TO THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. I HAD A SIMILAR INCIDENT WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT INDICATOR THAT EVENTUALLY WENT AWAY. I DONT FEEL THAT I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FINANCIALLY FOR THIS MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THIS ISSUE HAS ME WORRIED IF THE AIR BAGS EVEN WORK AT ALL IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
