TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT RANDOMLY FLASHED, THE VEHICLE HAD A DRASTIC REDUCTION IN SPEED AND STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY REPLACED TWO DIFFERENT SENSORS BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE KEY FOB ALSO FAILED TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO TIGHTENED THE MOTOR MOUNTS. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO INSTRUCT THE DEALER ON REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TODAY, I WAS PULLING OUT OF A WALMART PARKING LOT ON TO A BUSY ROAD WHERE CARS GO ABOUT 50-55MPH. I HAD MY 15 YR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR WITH ME. I STARTED TO PULL OUT INTO THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, MY CAR WENT FROM DRIVING, TO FEELING LIKE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED IN TO NEUTRAL. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST SCARY SITUATIONS AS CARS WERE COMING AT ME, AND ALL I COULD DO IS COAST OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR, WITH JUST OVER 3,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT ABOUT 6 WEEKS. MY HUSBAND IS A DISABLED MILITARY WAR VETERAN. WE HAD TO SAVE AND SAVE TO PURCHASE THIS CAR. WE NEEDED SOMETHING RELIABLE. WE HAVE TEENAGERS WHO ALSO DRIVE. NOW WE ARE ALL TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR; IT COULD BE DEADLY IF WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY OR A BUSY ROAD AND THE CAR DOES THIS AGAIN. I TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AGAIN TONIGHT, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I'M TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER IN THE MORNING. I HATE THE FEELING THAT THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS; WHAT A HORRIBLE THING TO HAPPEN WHEN PURCHASING A NEW CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TCM AND THE PCM MODULES WERE REPROGRAMMED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURED WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,526.
MY VEHICLE HAS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS EXPERIENCED A JERK IN WHICH THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE WITH AND FORCE FROM MYSELF. THE 9-SPEED TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT AT SUCH A RAPID AND UNCOMFORTABLE SPEED THAT THE CAR JERKS AT EVER SHIFT. I WAS BRAKING FOR A STOPLIGHT LAST WEEK WHEN THE GEAR SHIFTED AND JERKED CAUSING ACCELERATION THAT ALMOST MADE ME REAR-END THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME ALREADY STOPPED. I HAVE ALREADY HAD MY TRANSMISSION REPLACED TWO WEEKS AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE. THEY THEN REPLACED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND AM NOW STILL EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNTIL CHRYSLER RELEASES A RECALL THAT PROVIDES A COMPUTER UPDATE TO FIX THE ISSUE. I EMAILED CORPORATE BUT THEY REFUSE TO RESPOND TO ME AND NO ONE WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE ON THIS ISSUE. I HONESTLY JUST DON'T WANT TO KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF CHRYSLER'S' NEGLIGENCE.
THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM HAS NEVER WORKED AND CHRYSLER SERVICE HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX IT.
ALMOST DAILY MY CAR WILL STALL WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING. I WILL BE ENTERING THE MERGE LANE ON THE FREEWAY AND IT'LL STALL CAUSING ME TO ALMOST WRECK. ALSO, THE PARKING BREAK GETS STUCK SOMETIMES AND WON'T GO OFF WHEN I PRESS THE BREAK AND BREAD THE PARKING BREAK DOWN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MORE THAN ONCE AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FAILED TO TURN IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR MONTHS. . THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACTS VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TRIED TO GET RECALLS REPAIR BUT DEALERSHIP CONTINUE TO REFIUSE TO REPAIR
AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT, THE CAR WAS 11 MONTHS OLD. I WAS DRIVING AT 50 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. IT SHOOK AND SPUTTERED CONTINUOUSLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. IT WAS RETURNED TO ME AFTER ONE DAY OF REPAIRS. I DROVE SIX MILES AND PARKED AT A SHOPPING CENTER. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE THE SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE ONCE AGAIN REFUSED TO START, EVEN THOUGH I WAS TOLD IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED. I HAD IT TOWED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE UNDERWENT REPAIRS AND TESTING FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK BEFORE BEING RETURNED TO ME YET AGAIN. I HAVE DRIVEN THE VEHICLE SINCE THEN WITH NO APPARENT ISSUES, BUT THE PROBLEM I ENCOUNTERED MUST BE PREVENTED BEFORE IT OCCURS. IT WAS LIFE-THREATENING, AND IT WOULD BE EVEN MORE SO HAD I BEEN DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS OR PARKED IN DANGEROUS SURROUNDINGS.
WHEN I'M DRIVING MY CAR IT PUTS ITSELF IN NEUTRAL. EITHER FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, AT A STOP SIGN, ACCELERATING ON HIGHWAY. IT'S NOT A CURRENT ISSUE IT DOES IT WHEN IT WANTS AND ITS NOT SAFE BUT EVERY DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THERE IS "NOTHING" WRONG WITH MY CAR I'VE BEEN FIGHTING WITH DEALERSHIPS SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR OF THE SHOW ROOM FLOOR, AND THE PROBLEM STILL ISN'T FIXED AND WITH A BABY ON THE WAY I REFUSE TO PUT OUR CHILD IN IT WITH HOW UNSAFE IT IS.
THE PLACEMENT OF THE SHIFT PADDLES (SPORT SHIFT MODEL CHRYSLER 200S) HAS CAUSED TWO NEAR ACCIDENTS FOR ME. THESE PADDLES (+ AND -) ARE LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE STEERING WHEEL ON BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES, JUST ABOVE THE CONTROL BUTTONS ON THE BACK FOR THE SOUND SYSTEM. WHILE DRIVING EAST BOUND ON 16 MILE ROAD, I THOUGHT I WAS CHANGING THE CHANNEL OF MY RADIO STATION, INSTEAD I HIT THE PADDLE, THIS STOPPED MY ACCELERATION AND MY VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN, I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AGAIN, INSTEAD THE RPMS WENT UP. I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO ADJUST AND WAS IN THE LEFT (FAST) LANE WHERE I HAD TO PULL OFF INTO THE 'MICHIGAN LEFT' LANE, I THEN TURNED OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN ON HALL ROAD APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS LATER, FORTUNATELY I WAS SLOWING DOWN ANYWAY TO TURN ON TO A STREET. I BELIEVE MOST OF THE FUNCTIONS IN THIS CAR ARE ERGONOMICALLY WRONG. THE 'DIAL' TO PARK, NEUTRAL, REVERSE, DRIVE IS JUST A FEW INCHES AWAY FROM THE AIR FLOW DIAL. I HAVE LOOKED BEHIND THE CAR TO BE SURE THERE WERE NO PEDESTRIANS / VEHICLES AND WHILE MY HEAD WAS TURNED, MY HAND TURNED THE DIAL FOR AIR FLOW INSTEAD OF THE DIAL FOR REVERSE. THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE IS A SMALL PULL BUTTON JUST A FEW INCHES AWAY AS WELL. I HAVE HAD A PASSENGER TRY TO PULL IT AS THEY ASKED WHAT IT WAS . . .
VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING APPROX. 40 MPH. VEHICLE STARTED BLINKING PUT CAR IN PARK, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE PARK BREAK. THEN, IT SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. ALL GEARS LOCKED UP AND CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. I WAS A SITTING DUCK IN THE ROADWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED X2, JULY 2ND, 2015 AND AUGUST 10TH, 2015. HAD IT TOWED BOTH TIMES. FIRST TIME CHRYSLER DEALER STATED THEY REPLACED TCM. THIS SECOND TIME THEY ARE STATING THE CAR IS READING MULTIPLE CODES AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FIX.
DURING NORMAL DRIVING AT NIGHT, ANY SPEED, ANY TYPE ROAD. THERE IS VERY LIMITED LOW BEAM PROJECTION. APPEARS TO BE APPROX. 50' OR LESS(3 WHITE STRIPES AHEAD OF VEHICLE). APPEARS THE DESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSY.. THE PLACEMENT OF THE BULB IS EITHER TOO DEEP OR TOO HIGH AND THE TOP OF THE ASSY. IS BLOCKING FROM A HIGHER PROJECTION ANGLE. HIGH BEAM PROJECTION IS GOOD. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHO ADVISED THEY HAVE HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS BUT NO ADJUSTMENTS HAVE HELPED. THEY HAD NO SUGGESTION FOR REMEDY. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND ANY OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME MODEL VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AS NORMAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE UNINTENDED INCREASED ACCELERATION. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHEN IN THE REVERSE POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON FIVE OCCASIONS BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. MOST RECENT, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 350. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY CAR JERKS AND/OR HESITATES WHILE DRIVING OR ACCELERATING FROM STOP OR COASTING AT 30 - 55MPH . FROM A COMPLETE STOP POSITION MY CAR HAS SPUTTERED AND RATTLED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE WAS HAVING TROUBLE ENGAGING. I HAVE A RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND YOU CAN HEAR IT CLEARLY COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. A BRAND NEW CAR AND IT HAS A LOT OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES. CHRYSLER DOESN'T DO ANYTHING UNLESS IT THROWS A CODE. 15 TIMES IN THE REPAIR SHOP. THE CAR IS AT THE SHOP NOW, AND THE TECH IS HAVING TROUBLE RECREATING THE ISSUE. PLEASE SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, HE DISCOVERED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT WAS A DIAL KNOB. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT IF THE GEAR SHIFT WAS INADVERTENTLY BUMPED, THE VEHICLE WOULD SWITCH GEARS INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TODAY I DECIDED TO FILE A COMPLAINT BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON AT LEAST FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASSIONS. 1. I PULL OUT OF MY GARAGE 2. DRIVING APPROX 25FT OUT OF MY GARAGE I PLACE MY VEHICLE IN PARK 3 AFTER BEING IN PARK FOR LESS THEN A MINUTE 4 I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE 5 IS WHERE THE PROBLEM COMES IN THE PARK BREAK ENGAGES IT SELF WITH NO ASSISTANT FROM ME! 6 CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO DISENGAGE IT WHEN THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING
THE CAR WAS MOVING ABOUT 25 MPH WHEN DASH ERUPTED IN MULTIPLE FAILURE WARNINGS INCLUDING TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE PROBLEM. TRANSMISSION LOCKED IN FIRST GEAR AND WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST. PULLED OVER AND WAITED. DASH AND TRANSMISSION AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES RETURNED TO NORMAL AND I DROVE SLOWLY HOME. BROUGHT CAR TO DEALER ON 29TH AND THEY UPDATED SOFTWARE. HAD THIS EVENT OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY I OFTEN USE I BELIEVE THE SUDDEN LOSS OF TRANSMISSION RESPONSE AND LOCKING UP IN FIRST GEAR WOULD HAVE CAUSED MY CAR TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT.
ENGINE OVER HEATED, VEHICLE STALLED ON ME IN FRONT OF A MECHANIC SHOP LUCKILY. VEHICLE WOULDN'T START FOR NOTHING. I TRY OVER AND OVER TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULDN'T START. YOU CAN ALSO START SMELLING BURNING SMELL COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT . SEVERAL TIMES VEHICLE COULDN'T START. LEFT THE VEHICLE. THE NEXT DAY, MECHANIC CAME OVER AND CHECK THE VEHICLE OUT AND CHECK THE WATER, OIL, AND EVERYTHING ELSE AND DID A ENGINE CHECK AND TEN CODES CAME UP AND SOMETHING REGARDING CAM SHAFT. VEHICLE TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RUN AGAIN.
1ST INCIDENT: JUNE 26TH CAR DIES IN DRIVEWAY. ENGINE IS RUNNING NO POWER TO WHEEL. HAVE IT FLAT BEDDED TO GREENWOOD CHRYSLER CORTLAND OHIO. THEY SAY IT WAS A BAD CONNECTION IN COMPUTER. REPLACE TWO CONNECTORS. GET CAR BACK ON 6/30/15. JULY 1ST, DRIVING CAR DOWN ROAD DOING 25 TO 30 MPH, LOOSE ALL POWER TO DRIVE TRAIN COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD. FLAT BED IT BACK TO DEALER. THIS TIME THE SAY THE ARE REPLACING WIRING HARNESS IS SHIFTER. GET CAR BACK ON JULY 11TH DRIVING BACK FROM DEALERSHIP LOOSE POWER TO DRIVE TRAIN AGAIN GOING OVER A RAIL CROSSING. THANK GOD WAS ABLE TO COAST ACROSS AND TO THE SIDE OF ROAD. FLAT BED IT BACK TO DEALER NOTIFY CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER. GET CAR BACK ON JULY 21ST AGAIN THEY SAID THEY REPLACED ANOTHER WIRING HARNESS. CAR LOSES POWER TO DRIVE TRAIN AGAIN. 17 MILES FROM DEALERSHIP RIGHT BEFORE CROSSING A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY. IF I LET THIS CAR BACK ON THE ROAD SOME IS GOING TO GET KILLED IN IT. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FULLY LOADED CAR WITH A 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION. I THINK IF YOU INVESTIGATE THIS IS NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING PROBLEMS.

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO EXHIBIT THE SAME FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V090000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE REMEDY WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,600.
MY VEHICLE STALL ON I-95 AND WHEN TRYING TO GO OVER 45MPH, IT WON'T GO OVER 45MPH, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATS , CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ONE, FCW IS ON AND THROTTLE SERVICE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. ENGINE REV HIGH WHEN TRYING TO GO OVER A CERTAIN SPEED. VEHICLE SOMETIMES DOESN'T START. VEHICLE IS GIVING ENGINE PROBLEM. SMOKE IS COMING OUT, VERY VERY VERY LOUD WHINING NOISE WHEN IN DRIVE GOING OVER 35MPH
SHEET METAL WELDING ISSUES THAT CAUSES WATER TO LEAK INTO THE BACKSEAT AND CAUSE MAJOR CARPET DAMAGE.
CAR WILL RANDOMLY SHIFT FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING AND BECOME COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE. SOME TIMES IT ALLOWS YOU TO PULL OVER AND PUT INTO PARK THEN DRIVE, MOST TIMES THE ENTIRE CAR EXCEPT THE RADIO, BECOME UNRESPONSIVE AND HAVE TO PULL POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL TO RESET CAR. I'VE BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE 3 TIMES NOW WITH SAME ISSUE. EVERY TIME IS GETTING MORE AND MORE DANGEROUS AS PROBLEM IS NOT EASILY REPRODUCIBLE AND HAVE ALMOST BEEN STRUCK BY CARS FROM BEHIND OR ON SIDE OF ROAD.
MY CHRYSLER 200 2015 HAS A AIRBAG SEVICE SYSTEM LIGHT ON I HAD JUST GOT IT NOT EVEN A MONTH AGO AND IT CAME ON I REALLY DONT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT
WE WERE AT A STOP SIGN WHEN WE HEARD A NOISE AND FELT A JOLT. WE GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO OBSERVE WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND DISCOVERED THAT THE BALL JOINT WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED FROM THE FACTORY. THE PINCH BOLT WAS INSTALLED BUT THE HEAD OF THE BALL JOINT NEVER PASSED COMPLETELY THROUGH. WHEN IT CAME APART, IT CAME APART WITH SUCH FORCE THAT IT JERKED THE AXEL OUT AND CAUSED SOME MINOR BODY DAMAGE. THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS FLIPPED OUT AND TURNED. THE FRONT END OF THE CAR WAS RESTING ON THE FENDER. AS STATED ON THE REPAIR INVOICE...."LOWER BALL JOINT SEPARATED FROM KNUCKLE, DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE FULLY INSTALLED. REPLACED RIGHT FRONT LOWER ARM, KNUCKLE, AXEL, SPLASH SHIELD. RELEARN POWER STEERING AND FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT". WE WERE ON OUR WAY TO A WEEK LONG VACATION AND HAD TO SPEND IT IN A DEALERSHIP AND ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR AGENCY. VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED WHEN WE HAD TO LEAVE AND COME HOME. I HAVE VIDEOS AND PHOTOS. SPOKE TO CHRYSLER CARE WHO SEEMED WILLING TO WORK WITH US. I ADVISED THAT MY DAUGHTER WAS TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN. WE HAD ONLY HAD IT 2 WEEKS. THIS WAS HER FIRST NEW CAR PURCHASE. SHE IS A FULL TIME NURSING STUDENT AND WORKS A FULL TIME JOB. WE ASKED THAT CHRYSLER JUST REPLACE THE VEHICLE WITH ONE OF EQUAL VALUE AND WAS TOLD BY THE BUYBACK DEPARTMENT THAT THEY WERE REFUSING TO DO THAT AND THAT THIS WAS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE IS STILL SITTING AT A CHRYSLER DEALER IN MYRTLE BEACH SC. IT HAS BEEN THERE OVER A MONTH. CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ASSIST US. I HAVE SPOKEN TO AN ATTORNEY AND WAS ADVISED THAT I WOULD NEED TO SUE CHRYSLER CORP. AND THE DEALERSHIP. THIS VEHICLE PASSED 2 INSPECTIONS AT THE DEALER WITH FAULTY ASSEMBLEY. THE ENGINE HAS LOCKED UP THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS ALL WITHIN JULY-AUGUST OF 2015. YOU GET NO WARNING AS TO WHEN THE MOTOR WILL LOCK UP. CHRYSLER IS NOT COMPASIONATE WHAT SO EVER. THERE ARE 2 MORE RECALLS ON MY CAR ONE OF WHICH HAS NO AVAILABLE PARTS. ITS A HIGH RISK SAFETY CONCERN. THE FRONT RIGHT AXLE SOUNDS LIKE ITS GOING TO FALL OFF. I DONT FEEL SAFE AT ALL DRIVING THIS CAR. ITS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR ME ASWELL AS OTHER DRIVERS. I WAS DRIVING 70 MPH ON I-64 IN VA, THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF AN INCLINE AFTER LEAVING THE TUNNEL AND CROSSING THE BRIDGE , EVERY TIME I TRIED TO ACCELERATE THE CAR FELT AS IF I WAS SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES. IT STARTED TO DO IT CONSTANTLY AND EVENTUALLY THE CAR STARTING FLASHING ALL SORTS OF ERROR MESSAGES AND COMPLETELY LOCKING UP. I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE AND HAD TO SWERVE ONTO THE GRASS TO AVOID BEING REAR ENDED. UNFORTUNATELY THE BUTT OF THE VEHICLE WAS STILL PARTLY IN TRAFFIC AND I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE CAR DECIDED TO RESTART TO PULL THE REST OF THE WAY OFF OF THE ROAD. I WAITED SOME MORE TIME TO TRY AND DRIVE IT AGAIN, AT LEAST TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. WHEN I STARTED IT AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE RIGHT BEFORE IT STARTED LOCKING UP AGAIN. AT THIS POINT WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF, IT WOULD JUST SHAKE AND STAY IN RUN, SEVERAL TIMES IT DID THIS AND WOULDN'T LET ME SHUT THE CAR OFF. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO SHUT IT OFF AND WAIT FOR TOWING TO COME. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. I TOOK TO DEALER WHERE THEY HAD THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS, AND SAID THEY DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO CORRECT. SUNDAY, 4:30PM, JULY 5TH. WAITING AT STOP LIGHT THERE WAS AN AUDIBLE DING, AND THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLASHED AND THE AUTOMATIC S INDICATOR FLASHING AND THERE WAS NO TRANSFER OF POWER TO THE WHEELS. I TURNED THE SHIFT KNOB TO N THEN BACK TO D, AND THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED, BUT THE ESC (ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL), NOT THE TRACTION CONTROL, LIGHT ON THE DASH CAME ON AND WOULDN'T SHUT OFF UNTIL I STOPPED THE CAR AND RESTARTED THE IGNITION. MONDAY JULY 6TH, 11AM, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AROUND 60MPH, THE AUDIBLE DING, THEN D INDICATOR STARTED FLASHING AND THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE WHEELS, BUT THE MOTOR IS RUNNING. I TURNED THE SHIFT KNOB TO N, THEN BACK TO D AND THE POWER TO THE WHEELS ENGAGED, BUT THE ESC INDICATOR STAYED LIT. THIS HAPPENED THREE MORE TIMES WITHIN A 6 HOUR PERIOD AS I WAS ON A LONG DRIVE OUT OF STATE. I JUST GOT ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 40MPH, AND BARELY GOT TO THE CURB, AND I COULDN'T TURN THE SHIFT KNOB AS IT WAS LOCKED. ALL THE SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHTS WERE LIT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE. MONDAY, JULY 13TH, JUST LEFT THE HOUSE FOR WORK AND GOT ABOUT 2 MILES GOING 30MPH AND THE SAME SCENARIO WITH THE "SERVICE TRANS STOP SAFELY...." OCCURRED. I'M TRYING TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE.

1.DELAYED/HARSH SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. ESPECIALLY HARSH WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS COLD. 2.VEHICLE LUNGES FORWARD WHEN DOWNSHIFTING RAPIDLY. FOR EXAMPLE, IF I WAS DRIVING 55MPH AND HAD TO STOP QUICKLY, AS THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED THE ENTIRE VEHICLE WOULD THRUST/JUMP AROUND 3RD-4TH GEARS. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE THE CAR IS GOING TO ACCELERATE INSTEAD OF STOPPING. 3.IN A SITUATION WHERE THE VEHICLE IS SLOWED, BUT NOT STOPPED, AND THEN ACCELERATED (SUCH AS EXITING A PARKING LOT ONTO A MAJOR ROAD), ONCE THE ACCELERATOR IS APPLIED, THE ENGINE RPMS SHOOT UP, BUT THE TRANSMISSION DELAYS DRAMATICALLY BEFORE UPSHIFTING, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JERK. 4.AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 24-26MPH, THE TRANSMISSION JUMPS AROUND WILDLY BETWEEN GEARS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JERK. AFTER MULTIPLE SERVICE VISITS AND SOFTWARE UPDATES, THE TRANSMISSION AND TORQUE CONVERTER WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR OVER 3 WEEKS SINCE THIS REPAIR, AND ISSUES 2, 3 & 4 STILL EXIST. OTHER ISSUES: 1.INTERMITTENT EXTENDED CRANK TIME'2-3 TIMES LONGER THAN A TYPICAL CRANK BEFORE STARTING. A.ENGINE CODE SHOWED THE DEALERSHIP THERE HAD BEEN EXTENDED CRANK TIMES. DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED REPAIRS, CITING AN OIL PRESSURE PROBLEM, BUT ISSUE CONTINUED. B.ON A SEPARATE SERVICE VISIT, WE WERE TOLD THIS WAS DUE TO A RECALL AND THEY WERE AWAITING PARTS. C.RECALL WORK WAS PERFORMED AROUND 12/1/15, BUT THE ISSUE STILL EXISTS. THE ISSUE HAS ACTUALLY GOTTEN SUBSTANTIALLY WORSE SINCE THE WEATHER HAS GOTTEN COLD. 5.'PARK' NOT ENGAGING PROPERLY. I WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND MY DASHBOARD STARTED BLINKING TELLING ME I HAD TO PARK THE CAR. ONCE I PARKED IT I COULD NOT GET IT TO START AGAIN AND HAD IT TOWED TO CHRYSLER. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT AND RESET THE PCM TO GET IT TO START AGAIN.

WHEN VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE, THERE IS A CONSISTENT AND LOUD SQUEALING/SQUEAKING. DEALER HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NEW BREAKS PADS ETC. ISSUES STILL EXIST, ISSUE IS KNOW BY FCA CORPORATION. DEALER HAS STATED THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH FCA VEHICLES OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS AND THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. FCA HAS ATTEMPTED TO GO THROUGH THERE TECHNICIANS BUT NO RESOLVE FOR THE ISSUE, WAS TOLD THIS ISSUE IS NORMAL WITH FCA VEHICLES. ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING, BUT BASICALLY BROUGHT HER TO A STOP IN THE CENTER LANE OF TRAFFIC. CARS SHIFTER KNOB WAS LOCKED IN GEAR, BUT WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE. TRIED TURNING CAR OFF AND BACK ON, BUT WOULD NOT GO INTO A MOVING GEAR TO GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. A COUPLE OF MOTORISTS TRIED TO ASSIST, BUT CAR WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES WHEN POLICE FINALLY ARRIVED, THE CAR WOULD GO INTO GEAR AND WAS ABLE TO GET TO SHOULDER. DEALERSHIP HAD CAR FOR 2 WEEKS. 3 DAYS BEFORE EVEN LOOKING AT THE VEHICLE AND ANOTHER WEEK WAITING ON A PART. REPLACED SHIFTER AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. SAID CAR WAS FIXED. CAR DID SAME THING ON 7/3/15, NOW WITH A LITTLE OVER 18,000 MILES, THIS TIME IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA ABOUT 3 BLOCKS FROM HOME. SAME BEEPING SOUND AND SERVICE TRANSMISSION MESSAGE. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS AFTER TURNING VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTING THE CAR, SHE WAS ABLE TO GET IN GEAR AND MAKE IT HOME. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, I WENT AND LOOKED AT THE CAR AND DROVE AROUND THE BLOCK. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. CAR WAS VERY JUMPY SHIFTING INTO BOTH R AND D. WHEN RETURNING AND PUTTING BACK INTO P, MADE A MECHANICAL SOUND LIKE A TIMER BEING TURNED. WHEN DRIVER SHOWED UP TO TOW AWAY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF, BUT MADE SAME SOUND WHEN HE PUT PARKING BRAKE ON AND OFF. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND HOPE IS HANDLED BEFORE SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE THEIR CAR LOSES POWER ON A 2 LANE ROAD AND GETS REAR ENDED BY AN 18 WHEELER COMING OVER A HILL OR AROUND A CORNER AND CAN'T STOP IN TIME. I WANT THIS CAR TO BE BOUGHT BACK BY FCA. *TR

FRIDAY: WHILE WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR SUDDENLY VIBRATED AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE INDICATED IT WAS STILL RUNNING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OFF. WAS UNABLE TO SHUT OFF COMPLETELY FOR A FEW MINUTES, AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES CAR RESTARTED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. DEALER SAID TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE. ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF OVER THE WEEKEND. SUNDAY: DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES PER HOUR CAR SUDDENLY STALLED AND WE WERE ABLE TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD. CAR INDICATED IT WAS STILL ON AND RUNNING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OFF. WAS ABLE TO PUT CAR IN PARK AND EVENTUALLY SHUT IT OFF. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. CAR WOULD NOT CHANGE GEARS, SO UNABLE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL WHEN TOW ARRIVED. TOWED TO DEALER AND THEY HELD IT UNTIL FRIDAY. SAID THAT THE PINS IN THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER WERE LOOSE AND THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. FRIDAY: PICKED CAR UP FROM DEALER, WIFE DROVE IT LESS THAN 1 MILE AND IT STALLED AND SHUT OFF AGAIN IN AN INTERSECTION. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES THE CAR RESTARTED. IS NOW BACK AT THE DEALER.
THIS VEHICLE HAS A HORRIBLE TRANSMISSION. IT CHANGES GEARS WHEN IT WANTS TO! SEVERAL TIMES WE HAVE HAD A ISSUE WITH THE ACCELERATOR GOING LIKE SOMEONE PUT THEIR FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL...BY ITSELF!! I HAVE ALMOST REAR ENDED SOMEONE 3TIMES BECAUSE OF IT. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE VEHICLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO UNLATCH. A BYSTANDER HIT THE SEAT BELT BUTTON WITH HIS FIST TO UNLATCH THE SEATBELT. THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGERS OPENED THE DOORS AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. WHILE THE DOORS WERE STILL OPENED, THE LOCKS INDEPENDENTLY LOCKED. THE KEY FOB FAILED TO UNLOCK THE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE SHIFTED INTO PARK OR NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT AND WAS EVENTUALLY TOWED TO THE DEALER. AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE PDC AND THE PCM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
