TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SHIFT LEVER FAILED TO SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SHE RECENTLY RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
AFTER PLACING VEHICLE IN DRIVE OR REVERSE THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE WITH A SLIGHT PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR THEN WHEN APPLY A SLIGHT MORE PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD/BACKWARDS.
PURCHASED THIS CAR IN THE SPRING, THE CAR HAD 100 MILES. ALTHOUGH THE CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC THE CAR WAS DOWN SHIFTING HARD, MENTIONED THIS TO SERVICE WHERE THEY STATED THE CAR WAS GETTING USED TO MY DRIVING. I HAVE DRIVEN MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS FOR MANY YEARS WHERE THE TRANSITION BETWEEN GEARS WAS FAR SMOOTHER. THIS CONTINUED UNTIL AROUND 10,000 MILES WHEN ENGINE LIGHT FINALLY CAME ON. TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY FAILED AND WAS REPLACED. SINCE THEN TWO RECALLS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED AND THE DOWN SHIFTING ISSUE HAS WORSENED. AGAIN TOLD, CAR NEEDS TO GET USE TO MY DRIVING AS IT IS ALL DIGITAL. DROVE A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY WHILE CAR WAS WORKED ON FOR A RECALL, IT HAD 9,000 MILES ALL DIGITAL...HAD ZERO ISSUES WITH DOWN SHIFTING. IT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO HAVE PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT CLEARLY SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD. 1ST AND LAST CHRYSLER I WILL EVER OWN. I AM FREQUENTLY ON THE HIGHWAY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND DO NOT FEEL THIS IS A SAFE VEHICLE.
Ok this model has 8 recalls and I've only received one. My airbag indicator has been on for awhile now. See they have had recall for seat change. Which is my indicator picks up when i move my seat a certain way. My car drives be itsself in the acceleration. The intake is throwed. My radio just stopped working on its own FOR NO REASON. After that use to make this noise on its own even when car was off to try to come back on but it didn't. Electrical recall and whole middle console doesnt work. (Something sbout a usb update) Now my car goes dead over night and I have to jump it to start. Battery, starter and alternator is fine. This ridiculous at this point. Ive had 1recall resistly but have all these problems and see there is a total of 8. This things need fixing asap.

MY FINANCE AND I WENT ON TRIP TO TENNESSEE. ON THE EXPRESSWAY I WAS DRIVING AROUND 70 MILES PER HOUR. THE CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN ON IT OWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. IT DROPPED FROM 70 TO 60 AND THEN TO 45 WITHOUT ME DOING ANYTHING. IT STARTED SHIFTING GEARS AUTOMATICALLY ON IT OWNS. THEN I PUSHED THE GAS AND IT WENT BACK UP TO 70. ONCE WE ARRIVED TO TENNESSEE WE HAD TO GO UP MOUNTAINS AND THE CAR STARTED TO STALL AGAIN IN THE MOUNTAINS. THIS WAS VERY SCARY. AS I WAS GOING INTO THE MOUNTAINS THE CAR ALMOST STOPPED WHILE DRIVING. THE CAR KEPT SHIFTING GEARS EVEN WHEN I AM BARELY PRESSING THE GAS. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF AND START IT AGAIN. THE CAR STARTED STALLING THE FIRST DAY OF PURCHASING IT BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO THIS UNTIL IT DID IT ON THE EXPRESS WAY. I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR THAT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT ON LONG DISTANCE TRIPS BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. TALK ABOUT DISAPPOINTING. *TR
MY FAMILY AND I WHERE EXITING THE FREEWAY OFF-RAMP, WHEN ALL OFF A SUDDEN THE CAR STALLED ON ME. MY KIDS WHERE ABSOLUTELY SCARED, THEY WHERE VERY NERVOUS WHEN A CAR ALMOST HIT US. ON ONE OCCASION A CAR CAME FROM THE SIDE SWERVING TOWARDS US HONKING NEARLY SIDE SWIPING US. AT THIS POINT IN TIME I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE SAFETY OF THE CAR. MY FAMILY MEANS THE WORLD TO ME, NEVER DID I THINK A BRAND NEW CAR WILL GIVE ME AN ABSOLUTE TURNAROUND ON THE SAFETY OUTCOME IT'S GIVEN US UP UNTIL NOW. I RECEIVED A LETTER ALONG WITH A PHONE CALL ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE MAKE AND MODEL THAT I PURCHASED (CHRYSLER 200) RECALL STATUS. I IMMEDIATELY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO TAKE IT IN FOR THE FOLLOWING RECALL SERVICE: 14113 RO1 RECALL WC 0.50 REPROGRAMMED PCM AND TCM MODULE. THEN 14 DAYS AFTER THE SERVICE, THE CAR BROKE DOWN ON THE FREEWAY PUTTING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN HARMS WAY OF A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. MY WIFE IS TERRIFIED AT THE IDEA OF DRIVING THAT CAR AGAIN FOR FEAR THAT SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN WHILE SHE'S DRIVING ALONE JUST HER AND OUR KIDS. AT THIS POINT I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY WITH THIS CAR BECAUSE IT COULD IT BEEN A LOT WORSE. I EXPECT A SPEEDY SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE AND I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING TRADING IN THIS VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER WITH A BETTER SAFETY RECORD. *TR
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT, AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. WE HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 10 MONTHS NOW, AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS THAT HAS HAPPENED. WHAT I AM MOST CONCERN WITH IS, IF WE ARE DRIVING THE CAR AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH, AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF, WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THAT MAY BE. I ASK THAT YOU WOULD PLEASE, PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE, AS IT WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE SOMEONE WITH THIS TYPE OF CAR TO HAVE A DEADLY ACCIDENT, WHICH I KNOW CAN BE AVOIDED IF IT IS TAKEN CARE OF IN A TIMELY MANNER. WHAT IS EVEN WORSE FOR US IS, THE CAR DEALERSHIP WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN LOOK AT THE CAR UNTIL 30 APR 15, DUE TO THEIR OVERLOAD OF VEHICLES THAT THEY SEE ON A DAILY BASIS, WHICH NOW PUTS US AT EVEN MORE OF A RISK OF AN ACCIDENT. MY WIFE AND I BOTH WORK, AND NEED BOTH CARS, BUT I WILL SACRIFICE MISSING WORK TO ENSURE SHE MAKES IT TO HER JOB SAFELY. AGAIN, I ASK THAT YOU PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN AND THEN STALLED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ENGINE AND TRACTION WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
STOP AT A 3 WAY STOP STARTED TO PULL OUT AND THROTTLE WENT COMPLETELY DEAD, NO RESPONSE AND IN FRONT OF ON COMING VEHICLES , FINALLY CAME BACK AND WAS ABLE TO CLEAR JUST IN TIME. NEXT MORNING, SAME ISSUE BUT THIS TIME WHEN IT CAME BACK IT WOULD NOT RUN BUT LURCH AND SPIT AND SPUTTER. BOTH STOP ENGINE AND CHECK ENGINE CAMS ON. TOWED TO DEALER AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG, BUT I INSISTED IT WAS A SAFETY RELATED ISSUE. THE DEALER KEEP IT FOR ANOTHER DAY AND HEARD NOTHING, THEN I RECEIVED A CALL THE THIRD DAY THAT IT HAD BEEN TEST DROVE AND DID NOT MAKE IT OUT OF THE DEALERS LOT. SO I AM CONCERN ON THE SAFETY OF THE BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH HARDLY ANY MILES AND ISSUES RIGHT OUT THE GATE. I AM SEEING OTHER RELATED ISSUES OF THE SAME NATURE ON THE NET ALL HUGE SAFETY RELATED WITH THROTTLE RESPONSE. I AM HOPEFUL THAT IT DOES NOT TURN INTO SOMEONE LOSING THE LIFE OVER SOMETHING KNOWN. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE REDUCED IN SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHOOK WHILE SHIFTING GEARS WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MECHANIC REPAIRED AN UNKNOWN COMPONENT, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. 2015 CHRYSLER 200. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING. *SMD
ON SUNDAY, APRIL 12TH AT 5:30AM, I WAS DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON I-94 AT 65MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I LOST ALL POWER TO MY TRANSMISSION. MY GAS PEDAL WAS USELESS & I HAD TO COAST OFF THE EXPRESSWAY TO THE SHOULDER (I WAS IN THE FAR LEFT LANE & THE SHOULDER THERE IS TOO NARROW). IF THIS HAD BEEN AT A DIFFERENT TIME, I WOULD HAVE NO DOUBT BEEN KILLED (AS WELL AS OTHERS I'M SURE), FOR I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD THE ROOM OR MOMENTUM TO COAST ONTO THE SHOULDER & WOULD HAVE BEEN STRUCK FROM BEHIND. CHRYSLER WANTS THE CAR FIXED & NOT EVEN THE DEALER KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG, CITING IT AS A 'SHOTGUN FIX'. AND, I'M ON AN EXPRESSWAY (OR TWO OR THREE) EVERYDAY. I AM LEASING THE CHRYSLER 200C.I LEASED IT IN OCTOBER 2014,WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH IT WAS BACK WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND CHECK TRANSMISSION LIGHT. NEXT ONE HEADLIGHT AND BACK LIGHT WOULD STAY ON WHEN CAR WAS OFF AND THEN SOMETIMES BOTH HEADLIGHTS WOULD STAY ON WHEN CAR WAS OFF.BROUGHT CAR BACK TO SERVICE DUE TO THIS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AGAIN WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR IT WAS THE RO8 PARKROD.I WAS THEN TOLD FALSE ALARM THERE IS NO RECALL I WAS GIVEN BACK CAR.I GOT IN TOUCH WITH CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS AND I WAS TOLD TO DRIVE THE CAR SEE IF CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON.WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE THE CAR BEGAN TO BOUNCE, STEERING WHEEL TIGHTENED, SPEED DROPPED TO ZERO, RPM WENT UP, AND NOTHING HAPPENED WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE. I READ THE MANUAL FROM FIRST PAGE TO LAST WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 1) NO MENTION OF SLIDING ARM REST AND THE FACT THAT IT DOESN'T LOCK IN POSITION. VERY STIFF TO MOVE FROM DRIVER POSITION, SO I WASN'T AWARE 2) WHEN ARM REST IS SLID FORWARD IT ENCROACHES OVER THE REAR CUP HOLDER. 3) WHEN CUP HOLDER/CONSOLE STORAGE COVER IS SLID BACK HALFWAY AND LOCKED IN POSITION, THE ARMREST WHEN SLID FORWARD ENCROACHES OVER BOTH CUP HOLDERS. APPEARS VERY HAZARDOUS, SO UNBEKNOWNST OF THIS FEATURE AND WHILE I WAS ACCELERATING FROM 0 MPH AT TRAFFIC LIGHT THAT HAD JUST CHANGED TO GREEN, THE PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT HAD PUSHED ON THE ARM REST FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON (PROBABLY THINKING IT WAS STATIONARY). AS THE ARM REST SHOT FORWARD, IT SQUASHED AND PROPELLED MY LARGE COFFEE CUP THROUGH THE COCKPIT AREA. LUCKILY IT WAS NOT HOT, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS THAT IT WAS A COMPLETE DISTRACTION NOT KNOWING THIS COULD HAPPEN. WHEN I LOOKED TO SEE WHAT THE HECK WAS HAPPENING, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME HAD ALREADY BEEN BRAKING TO STOP. FOR THAT SPLIT SECOND I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION TO MY DRIVING FROM THE DISTRACTION, I CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. A DESIGN FLAW? MAYBE ADD A LOCKING MECHANISM. THIS IS VERY HAZARDOUS WITHOUT KNOWING THE SLIDING ARMREST FEATURE THAT COULD SEVER A DRINK CUP IN HALF WHILE DRIVING. I'M CALLING CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE (800) 247-9753 AND CHRYSLER GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE (800) 853-1403 I KNOW I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE, BUT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS HAZARD AND I MAY SEEK COMPENSATION FOR MY DEDUCTIBLE. ON APRIL 9, 2015, WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE CAR, WE SUFFERED A COMPLETE COMPUTER SHUTDOWN AT 55 MPH JUST FOUR MILES FROM MY HOME. I WAS ABLE TO GET MY CAR ALMOST OFF THE ROAD BEFORE IT COASTED TO A STOP. DURING THIS SHUTDOWN I WAS NOT ABLE TO STEER THE CAR, USE THE BRAKES, USE THE GAS, OR PULL SAFELY OFF THE ROAD. AFTER TUGGING THE SHIFTER NOB INTO PARK AND TRYING TO START THE CAR IT JUST MADE TERRIBLE CLICKING SOUNDS. THE SERVICE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH AND THE CAR WOULD SHAKE AS THE ENGINE WAS MAKING THESE LOUD CLICKING SOUNDS. I WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND WAS FORCED TO LEAVE IT WHERE IT SAT FOR THE TOW TRUCK TO ARRIVE. I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 7 DAYS FROM THE TIME NEEDED TO GET THE PART AND HAVING TO WAIT FOR A RIDE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PICK MY CAR UP. THE CAR CONTINUED TO SHIFT AT ODD TIMES AND IT STILL LUNGED WHEN PUT INTO PARK AND LIGHTS WOULD OCCASIONALLY FLASH ON DASHBOARD. I ASSUMED THAT THIS WAS DUE TO THE NEW 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION. ON JULY 23, 2015 AT 1:15PM MY CAR ONCE AGAIN SUFFERED A TOTAL SHUTDOWN IDENTICAL TO THE PREVIOUS ONE. THIS SITUATION WAS FAR MORE FRIGHTENING DUE TO MY SPEED AND LOCATION OF THE SHUTDOWN. I WAS TRAVELING AT 65MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON I-26 IN NORTH CAROLINA. IF NOT FOR THE ALERT DRIVERS BEHIND ME I WOULD HAVE SUFFERED CATASTROPHIC INJURIES IF NOT DEATH DUE TO LOSING ALL SPEED AND STEERING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE.
TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE TO BRENENGEN CHRYSLER FORD DEALERSHIP LOCATED IN TOMAH, WI. THE SERVICE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PERFORMED WAS A SAFETY RECALL, OIL CHANGE, AND TIRE ROTATION. SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE IS THE TRANSAXLE'S INTERNAL PARK ROD FOR 2015 CHRYSLER 200'S, RECALL NOTICE R08/ NHTSA 15V-090 THAT I FOUND ON MOPAROWNERCONNECT.COM. I LEFT MY VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP AT 8:00AM. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AT 8:50AM, SAYING MY VEHICLE IS READY FOR PICK UP. I STATED THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE UP AT 4:30PM. WHEN I PICKED MY VEHICLE UP I FIND OUT THAT THE SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE WAS NOT DONE AND THE OIL LIFE MONITOR WAS NOT RESET. I CHECKED MY OIL TO SEE IF IT WAS CHANGED, IT DID NOT HAVE THE CLEAR BROWNISH COLOR THAT I WOULD EXPECT AFTER AN OIL CHANGE. THE OIL WAS NOT DARK BUT AGAIN NOT CLEAR, ESPECIALLY FOR A VEHICLE THAT HAS LESS THAN 6000 MILES. I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE FOR 30 MINUTES AND THEY WOULD DO THE RECALL. I CAME BACK AFTER AN HOUR AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT PERFORM THE SAFETY RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS A 2 HOUR JOB. I MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK FOR THE SAFETY RECALL. I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF THE NIGHT BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT WITH SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT 5:00PM. I RECEIVED A VOICE MESSAGE THE NEXT DAY AT 2:30PM SAYING MY CAR IS READY FOR PICK UP. I ARRIVE AT 4:45PM TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE; AGAIN THE SAFETY RECALL WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE REASON THIS TIME IS THAT "CHRYSLER SENT THE WRONG PARTS FOR THE SAFETY RECALL." IRONICALLY ENOUGH, WHEN I GET HOME, I FIND A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL. THE NOTICE SAYS THAT THE SAFETY RECALL WILL TAKE 8 HOURS AND TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT AFTER MAY 1. I UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS HAPPEN, I BEEN THERE, ON THE DEALERSHIP SIDE AND IN EVERY DAY LIFE. WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS WHY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT AT LEAST DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE SAFETY RECALL. *TR
1. 1ST CAR SHUTDOWN APRIL 7,2015 - STOPPED ACCELERATING WHILE IN MOTION. CAR HAS TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE. WELL BELOW GOVT AVERAGE/WINDOW STICKER. I WAS ONLY GETTING 17 MPG WHERE THE MIN CITY RATING WAS 23. AFTER MANY VISITS TO THE DEALER AND DEALING WITH THE TERRIBLE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE SERVICE DEPT FINALLY DID THE TSB THAT DEALT WITH THE TRANSMISSION CALIBRATION. THEY REFLASHED/UPDATED THE TRANS SOFTWARE AND NOW I'M GETTING 24 MPG WHICH IS THE BARE MINIMUM I BASICALLY SHOULD GET. HIGHWAY IS STILL FAIRLY BELOW SPECS AND I DO NOT GET NEAR THE COMBINED 28 MPG EITHER. I HAD ALMOST 4700 MILES ON THE CAR BEFORE THEY REALIZED THEY NEEDED TO DO THE TSB ON IT. NOW OF COURSE AFTER SPENDING MUCH MORE MONEY ON GAS THAN I SHOULD HAVE, CHRYSLER DOESN'T CARE AT ALL AND BASICALLY LAUGHED AT ME WHEN I ASKED FOR FAIR COMPENSATION SINCE IT WAS THEIR FAULT THEY LET A CAR OUT OF THE FACTORY THAT WAS NOT CALIBRATED CORRECTLY NOR DID THE DEALER DO THE TSB BEFORE THE CAR WAS SOLD. I DOUBT I'LL EVER BUY ANOTHER FCA VEHICLE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. ALSO THE CAR HAD JERKY TRANSMISSION ISSUES THAT PROMPTED THEM TO LOOK INTO THE TRANS TO BEGIN WITH THEN THEY FOUND THE TSB INFO.

I WAS AT A STOP SIGN WITH MY SPOUSE AND I WAS TAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. THE CAR DIDN'T MOVE AT ALL THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT LUNGED FORWARD CAUSING US TO JERK BACK AND FORTH. THE CAR STILL LUNGES FORWARD FROM A STOP EVEN THOUGH IT HAS HAD AN UPDATE ON ITS SYSTEM MULTIPLE TIMES. WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN PARK IT ROLLS FORWARD QUITE A BIT. 2 TIMES IT JUMPED OUT OF PARK AND INTO REVERSE. I HAVE HAD AN AIRBAG ISSUE 5 TIMES AND TODAY IT IS AT THE DEALERSHIP TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN. IT IS THE RIGHT SIDE AIRBAG. CONNECTORS WERE CHANGED AND WIRING 4 TIMES. CAR HESITATES A LOT ESPECIALLY FROM A STAND STILL. I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN INTO ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE FACT THAT WHEN I WAS TAKING A LEFT ON A MAJOR ROAD FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR ROLLED A LITTLE AND DIDN'T GO. IT HESITATED JERKED HARD AND WENT REALLY SLOW. A GRINDING NOISE CAME FROM THE TRANNY. ANOTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT MY CAR VIBRATES. I DON'T HAVE NO AC NOR RADIO ON AND IT JUST VIBRATES. THE TECH TOLD ME THAT CHRYSLERS STAR WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FOR MY VEHICLE JUST UPDATES. I'M PAYING FOR A CAR THAT SPENDS ABOUT A WEEK IN THE SHOP ONCE A MONTH SINCE APRIL. INSURANCE ADJUSTER AND REPAIR FACILITY INDICATED THAT THE LEFT FRONT STRUT HAD COME OUT OF IT'S HOUSING AND WAS LIKELY THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT. AFTER ONLY OWNING MY VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN 72 HOURS, AND DRIVING ABOUT 380 MILES, MY TRANSMISSION APPEARS TO HAVE HAD A COMPLETE FAILURE. I NOTICED IT DOWNSHIFTING VERY HARD AT A STOP LIGHT, THEN AGAIN A MILE OR SO DOWN THE ROAD. BY THE TIME I GOT TO ANOTHER STOP LIGHT, MY CAR DOWNSHIFTED SO VIOLENTLY IT SLAMMED ME INTO MY SEAT BELT AND SCARED ME BADLY. IT FELT AS IF THE CAR HAD SHIFTED IN PARK WHILE IT WAS STILL ROLLING FORWARD AT ABOUT 10 MILES AN HOUR. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE AWAY FORM THE LIGHT, THE CAR WOULD NOT UP SHIFT, SO I HAD TO LIMP IT INTO THE NEXT PARKING LOT AT 4K RPMS AT ABOUT 7 MPH. WHEN I PULLED INTO THE PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE CAR FINALLY SHIFTED OUT OF DRIVE INTO REVERSE, AND AFTER SEVERAL MORE ATTEMPTS, IT FINALLY SHIFTED INTO PARK ALLOWING ME TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE. RIGHT NOW THEIR SOLUTION IS "THE NEXT TIME IT DOES IT, DON'T TRY TO RESTART IT. JUST CALL AND HAVE IT TOWED." YOUR OPTIONS BELOW ASK WHEN THIS HAPPED. DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC AT 45 MPH, THE TRANMISSION WENT INTO NEUTRAL EVEN THOUGH THE SELECTOR WAS IN DRIVE AND DID NOT ALLOW ME TO ACCELERATE AT ALL WHILE THE CAR PROCEEDED TO SLOW TO A STOP. THE "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" MESSAGE, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND OTHER MESSAGES APPEARED. IT REQUIRED ME TO STOP MY CAR, RESTART IT IN ORDER TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. IT ALSO GETS STUCK IN 4TH GEAR (LIMP HOME MODE) WHICH IS ALSO DANGEROUS BECAUSE THE ENGINE HAS VERY LITTLE POWER WHEN YOU STOP AND IT PREVENTS YOU FROM ACCELERATING AT THE RATE OF TRAFFIC. IT IS ALSO EXTREMELY HARD TO DRIVE UP HILLS.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO REMEDY THE FAILURE BY UPDATING THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION AND PERFORMED WB SOLENOID RELEARN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65MPH, THE CAR SHUT OFF AS WE COASTED TO A STOP. CAR WAS INOPERABLE. WE TRIED RESTARTING THE CAR, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. ALL ELECTRICAL FEATURES, INCLUDING THE GEAR SHIFT KNOB WERE INOPERABLE. WE GAVE IT TIME AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART VEHICLE A NUMBER OF TIMES. WE FINALLY SUCCEEDED HALF AN HOUR LATER. ALL APPEARED TO BE WELL. NOT SURE IF THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON ISSUE, BUT IT IS A CONCERN OF OURS. THERE HAS BEEN A NUMBER OF RECALLS ON THEIR VEHICLES AND IT BEHOOVES ME THAT THERE IS NO LAW THAT MAKES THESE CAR MANUFACTURERS RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING BACK THEIR VEHICLES. MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT A NEW VEHICLE, BELIEVING IT WOULD BE THE SAFER THING TO DO. I HAVE A TEENAGER, AN INFANT AND ANOTHER BABY ON THE WAY. IT IS SO SCARY TO HAVE BABIES IN A VEHICLE YOU NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN, KNOWING THEIR FRAILTIES IF AN ACCIDENT WERE TO OCCUR. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON SATURDAY MORNING ON MARCH 5, 2015 ABOUT 7:30AM I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF I 285 AND CAMPBELLTON RD. AT THE CORNER OF CAMPBELLTON RD. AND BARGE RD. AND WAS TURNING ONTO BARGE RD. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THAT THEY FOUND THAT IT HAD NO POWER AT WIRING FROM COIL F343 ASD CKT. TRACED BACK TO BLOWN F16 FUSE IN IPM. THERE ALSO WAS A RECALL ON THE CAR. THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS BLOCKING THE RIGHT SIDE VISION THROUGH WINDSHIELD (PASSENGER SIDE) OF THE WHOLE STREET FOR PEOPLE, TURNING AND SWITCHING LANES. THE WINDSHIELD IS TOO SLANTED TOWARDS DRIVER AND PASSENGER MAKING THE WINDOW IN THE CENTER OF ALL TO BE VIEWED WHILE DRIVING. TERRIBLE OBSTRUCTION OF VISION. CONSOLE TOO WIDE, INTERFERES WITH LEG AND GAS PEDAL. ITS ALSO TOO SLANTED AS THE WINDSHIELD IS WAY TOO SLANTED. WHICH IS WHY THE MIRROR INTERFERES WITH VISION. NOT SAFE. *TR
WHEN DECELERATING GOING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE MY FOOT WAS OFF THE GAS PEDAL. AS I APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL THE CAR SHIFTED BUT HAD ACCELERATED AS THOUGH I HAD PUSHED ON THE GAS PEDAL. I HAD TO FORCEFULLY APPLY THE BRAKES EVEN HARDER TO KEEP FROM HITTING THE CAR IN FROM OF ME. I HAVE NOTICED THIS ON OTHER OCCASIONS AS WELL BUT THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT AS THERE WAS SOMEONE IN FRONT OF ME. IT IS AS THOUGH WHEN THE CAR SHIFTS FROM 7TH TO 5TH AND ALSO FROM 5TH TO 3RD THE CAR LUNGES FORWARDS. I HAVE ALSO NOTICES THE CAR WILL PULL ITSELF UP A HILL WITHOUT APPLYING THE GAS PEDAL WHEN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AT THE TOP OF THE HILL. I AM CONCERNED I MAY INADVERTENTLY REAR END ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THIS ISSUE. *JS
