I WAS LEAVING MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND I STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN. AS I WAS LEAVING, I HEARD A JERK BEFORE TURNING. AS IM DRIVING, I NOTICED THAT THE GEARS WEREN'T SWITCHING PROPERLY. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. LATER THAT DAY, I PULLED INTO A DRIVE THRU AND MY CAR WOULDN'T MOVE. THE ENGINE DID NOT TURN OFF BUT IT WASN'T REVVING. I CONTINUED TO PRESS THE THROTTLE AND IT FINALLY JERKED AND MOVED. IVE HAD MANY OCASSIONS OF MY VEHICLE HAVING NO REACTION FROM HITTING THE GAS PEDAL TO IT NOT SHIFTING GEARS. *JS
I HAD JUST FINISHED FILLING UP WHEN I PULLED OUT THE GAS STATION, MY CAR CHOKED UP, IT CONTINUE FINE FOR ABOUT A MILE AND WHEN I STOPPED TO TURN LEFT AT THE LIGHT MY CAR COMPLETELY TURNED OFF, TRIED TO START IT A FEW TIMES AND DID NOT WORK WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND THE CAR FINALLY STARTED. I OWN A 2006 CHRYSLER 300 AFTER FILLING MY TANK WITH GAS I LEFT THE GAS STATION, APRX.. 2 BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE STATION MY ENGINE LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND OFF IT REGAINED POWER AFTER ABOUT A BLOCK THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD . I CALLED CHRYSLER THEY SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED CHRYSLER KNOWS THEY HAVE A PROBLEM . THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL SOMEONE GETS KILLED . *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. AFTER RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES ONLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED TO FULL CAPACITY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE FAULTY FUEL TANK ROLL OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.

I WENT TO WARM MY CAR AT ABOUT 1:55-2:25AM FRIDAY, AND A AWFUL SMELL, SO I YELLED FOR HELP, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF MY CAR WAS NOW ON FIRE. I COULD SEE THE FLAMES FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE I CALLED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHO TRANSFERRED ME TO FIRE DEPARTMENT WHO ASKED ME WHAT HAPPENED AND TO STAY AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE I GOT A CUP AND OF WATER PUT IT OUT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME , DEPARTMENT CAME TO MY HOME INSPECTION OF THE CAR AND SAID DO NOT START THE VEHICLE HAVE IT TOWED AWAY. *JS
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE AND HAVE ALL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE DONE AT THE DEALER. ON 2/28/2015 I HAD JUST LEFT THE GROCERY STORE AND WAS PULLING OF THE PARKING LOT INTO TRAFFIC, CAR STARTED TO HESITATE AND THEN COMPLETELY CUT OFF. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT FINALLY RESTARTED. THEN ON 2/25/2015 AFTER REFUELING AS I WAS SETTING IN TRAFFIC THE CAR STALLED AND CUT OFF AGAIN. THIS MORNING WHILE TAKING KIDS TO SCHOOL THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AND SLOW DOWN THEN CUT OFF. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
CAR STALLS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AFTER GASOLINE FILLUP. VERY HARD TO RESTART. VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION. HAS SHUT OFF AT HIGH SPEEDS AS WELL AS LOW SPEED. *TR
SYMPTOM/CONDITION: VEHICLE MAY EXPERIENCE SHUDDER ON SLOW, PARKING LOT TYPE TURNS. THE FRICTION DISC IN THE TRANSFER CASE CAN BECOME CLOGGED WITH IRON PARTICLES AND MAY CREATE A STICK-SLIP CONDITION WITH THE PRESSURE PLATE INSIDE THE TRANSFER CASE. CHRYSLER WAS AWARE OF THIS DEFECT SEPTEMBER 15, 2005 BUT SHIPPED THE CARS ANYWAY...
CAR STALLS/SHUTS OFF AFTER REFUELING AFTER DRIVING A WHILE STALL STOPS UNTIL REFUELING AGAIN. TOOK CAR TO DEALER THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR, THEY CHARGED ME FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE BATTERY. CAR DID THE SAME THING AFTER REFUELING. TOOK IT AGAIN TODAY 2/15/15 AND WAS TOLD MY CAR WASNT COVERED FOR THE LIFETIME RECALL FOR THE FUEL TANK FLOAT REPLACEMENT, ALTHOUGH IM HAVING THE SAME SYMPTOMS FOR THIS YEAR VEHICLE THAT CLEARLY ALOT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
I HAD A PERSON GETTING IN AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO FASTEN SEATBELT AND HEARD A PSEUDO CLICK, BUT A FEW SECONDS LATER AS I STARTED TO MOVE, THE WARNING SOUND STARTED INDICATING THE SEATBELT WAS NOT FASTENED. THE SEATBELT SEEMED TO BE SECURE BUT SOMETHING WAS NOT PERCEIVING THE BUCKLE WAS FASTENED. I WONDER IF THE AIRBAGS WOULD FUNCTION IN THIS SITUATION? THIS IS ALSO A CAR WITH THE ADDITIONAL AIRBAGS INSTALLED BECAUSE I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD SAFETY FEATURE TO HAVE BUT NOW AM TOLD IT IS A LIABILITY. *TR

MY CHRYSLER 300 ELECTRIC THROTTLE LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT WERE INTERMITTENTLY COMING ON IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH, JERKING AND STALLS OUT. I TOOK IT TO MOSS BROS., MY DEALER TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE DIAGNOSTIC SHOWED THE NUMBER ONE COIL MISFIRING THEY PUT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THEN THE HEAD AND FOUND OIL SLUDGE. I WAS TOLD AT THIS POINT IT COULD MEAN A NEW ENGINE. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHRYSLER 300 SRT-8 WITH 6.1 ENGINE. I HAVE LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND WHILE WAITING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND OR STOP SIGN AN WHILE DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 55 MPH ON HIGHWAY. THIS HAS HAPPEN ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. PULLED TO RIGHTHAND LANE NEAR A CONSTRUCTION CREW WORKING ALONGSIDE THE ROAD. A CAR WAS BEHIND ME ANOTHER CAR NEARLY HIT ME IN THE REAR. I GOOGLE CHRYSLER STALLING AND FOUND THIS IS A HUGE VEHICLE SAFETY PROBLEM. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED, THE CAR FINALLY STARTED. I DROVE THE CAR TO CHRYSLER NATIONAL DODGE ON 01/23/2015...I PAID $1,736.61??? I DROVE THE CAR 4 MILES TO OUR HOME. THE CAR SHUT DOWN. I STOP DRIVING MY CHRYSLER 300C SRT-8 UNTIL I HAD TIME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. ON 01/26/2015 I TOOK MY CHRYSLER 300C SRT-8 BACK TO CHRYSLER NATIONAL DODGE TO FIX VEHICLE SHUT DOWN IN MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. MIKE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE HE CAN SPECIAL ORDER THE PART FOR MY CAR.I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE ON 01/28/2015... I PAID $1,098.94??? [XXX] THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT HIS "BOSS" TEST DRIVE MY CHRYLSER AND IT RUN GOOD, AS [XXX] THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS GETTING OUT OF MY CAR THE VEHICLE SHUT-OFF. MIKE ASK ME TO DRIVE VEHICLE HOME AND IF IT SHUT DOWN AGAIN RETURN THE VEHICLE.ON 01/29/2015 AT 10:00AM PART MANAGER " [XXX] CALL AND SAID THESPECIAL ORDER PART FOR MY CAR HAS ARRIVE. MIKE PRIOR TO THIS VOICE MAIL HAD ALREADY FIX MY CAR WITHOUT PUTTING IN THE NEW SPECIAL ORDER PART. I AM RESPECTFUL REQUESTING A FULL REFUND OF $2,875.55 PLUS THE AMOUNT CHRYSLER NATIONAL DODGE WILL CHARGE ME AGAIN ONCE I PICK UP MY CHRYSLER 300C SRT-8. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,490.
THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. I WOULD FILL UP WITH FUEL AND AFTER LEAVING THE GAS STATION THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL CAUSING ME TO LOSE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES AND HAVING TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I RECEIVED A ALERT FROM CHRYSLER LAST YEAR BUT HAVE MISPLACED THE LETTER. IT STATED THAT IF I EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT TO A DEALER AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THE GAS TANK. *TR
CARS STALLS WHILE DRIVING...NO CODES ARE ON...ETC LIGHT ON WHEN STALLS AND THE CAR RESTARTS WITHOUT A PROBLEM. ALMOST IN MANY ACCIDENTS WHILE DRIVING WITH THE KIDS. CHRYSLER HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR TYPE OF MODEL. TIPM IS DEFECTEDD AND THERE'S A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. *TR

THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF AIR BAGS RECALLS, BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR ENGINE STALLING. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE CONTACT SCHEDULE A APPOINTMENT HOWEVER THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT SCHEDULED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 96,000.
AFTER FILLING UP WITH FUEL THE VEHICLE STALLS ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES. I LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP AND THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT IT WAS VIN SPECIFIC. I REFUELED ON 7 JANUARY 2015, AND WAS TURNING ONTO A BUSY HIGHWAY, THE CAR STALLED WHILE I WAS TURNING, I PLACED IT IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED IT. ABOUT 1/2 MILE DOWN THE ROAD IT AGAIN STALLED, I LOST POWER STEERING, AND ONCE AGAIN HAD TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL. THE AUTOMOBILE STALLED ONE MORE TIME AND THEN RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN I AM ACCESSING AN INTERSTATE WHERE THE CONSEQUENCES WILL BE MUCH WORSE. *TR

ENGINE STALLS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND IN TOWN DRIVING CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKE FUNCTION. IN AND OUT OF GARAGE FOR OVER A YEAR. CURRENTLY AT CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. AFTER OVER 3HR DIAGNOSES THEY TOLD US THAT IT NEEDS A TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP. THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. CONTACTED CHRYSLER 1/3/17 STATED THAT A STARCASE FILE WOULD BE OPENED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. DIDNT SEEM AWARE OF THIS BEING A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL. AS OF 1/9/17 NO CLOSER TO RESOLVING THIS ISSUE. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.WE GAVE OUR DAUGHTER OUR CAR TO DRIVE FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS AS THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. *TR

MY 2006 300M DIES IF YOU FILL THE TANK UNTIL THE GAS PUMP SHUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES TO US. I HAVE OWNED THE CAR 3 YEARS, AND THIS HAS HAPPENED 10-15 TIMES. IT HAS HAPPENED AFTER FILLING UP AT MANY DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. THE CAR STALLS. IT CAN BE RESTARTED, BUT MIGHT STALL MULTIPLE TIMES. FUELED UP VEHICLE, CAR STALLED AS I WAS LEAVING THE GAS STATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. AGAIN WHEN WE WERE ENTERING FREEWAY AFTER FUELING UP, THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. I HAD HEARD OF THE FAULTY ENGINE LIFTER ASSEMBLY WITH THESE 3.5L ENGINES. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MINE UNTIL NOW. STARTED THE CAR UP TO GO TO WORK ABOUT 5:30 AM. HORRIBLE LIFTER TICKING SOUND CAME FROM THE ENGINE. BOUGHT THE CAR AT 91,000 MILES. CHANGED THE OIL BEFORE THE 5,000 MILE RECOMMENDED INTERVALS. AFTER FILLING GAS TANK, THE ENGINE STALLS REPEATEDLY. WHEN IT STALLS, POWER STEERING IS LOST AND CAR COMES TO STOP SOMETIMES IN TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE THEN CRANKS NORMALLY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY CHANGED THE EGR VALVE WHICH DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. SUGGESTED SHOTGUN APPROACH. *TR
