MY CHRYSLER 300 CUTS OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING. IT DOES THIS WITHOUT WARNING. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND CAME TO A STOP SIGN, I WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE WHEEL EVERYTHING LOCKED EXCEPT FOR THE BRAKES AND GEAR. I PUSH ON THE BRAKES AND PUT IT INTO GEAR I CRANK THE CAT UP AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN. IT HAPPENED A FEW DAYS LATER I WAS TURNING INTO THE PARKING LOT AND IT CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. I HAD TO DO THE SAME THING. I HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT AND HAVE HAD THINGS REPLACED ON THE CAR BUT STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. JUST YESTERDAY I WAS ALMOST AT THE LIGHT AND I LOST POWER. I HAD TO ONCE AGAIN HURRY AND PUT IT INTO PARKING AND THEN RESTART THE CAR. THIS ISSUE SCARES ME BECAUSE I HAVE A 7YR OLD DAUGHTER THAT IS WITH ME MOST OF THE TIME AND THIS CAR DOESN'T HAVE A SET TIME WHEN IT DOES IT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. I AM AFRAID THAT IT MAY DO THIS ON THE HIGHWAY OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT BELT LOCKS FOR NO REASON AND THEN WILL NOT UNLOCK WITHOUT TAKING THE SEAT BELT OFF, LETTING IT RETRACT, THEN PUTTING IT ON AGAIN. WHEN IT LOCKS IT IS SUPER TIGHT AND ALMOST CHOKES YOU.
WAS ON A TRIP OUT OF TOWN AND PARKED IN HOTEL PARKING GARAGE. SHE ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE, CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF "PARK". HAD TO PAY A MECHANIC TO ACCESS PINK PLASTIC CLIP IN CONSOLE AND DRIVE HOME THAT WAY. SAW. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PART ONLINE AND MADE APPOINTMENT WITH CHRYSLER SERVICE. PART HAD TO BE ORDERED . WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS NOT ONE OF THE VIN #S COVERED BY RECALL# K39, EVEN THOUGH SAME ISSUE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCED BY NUMEROUS OTHER OWNERS. PARTS AND LABOR COST OVER $400!

MY CAR'S 96,000 MILE ENGINE SUDDENLY BLEW A #6 CYLINDER SOON AFTER I DROVE FROM WORK. I HAVE AN EXCELLENT SERVICE HISTORY. NEVER HAD ANY WARNING OR ISSUES. NOW I'M TOLD TO PAY 6500 FOR ANOTHER ENGINE WITH MORE MILES. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THIS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER HEMI ENGINES. MY NEXT STEP IS TO CONTACT MY CONGRESSMAN AND SENATOR. MY CAR WAS STUCK IN PARK AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND REMOVED THE COMPONENTS. I NOTICED THAT PINK PLASTIC SHIFT RELEASER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I ALSO PREVIOUSLY HAD A CHRYSLER 300 AND IT WAS THE SAME ISSUE. IT WILL COST ME OVER $400.00 BECAUSE I WILL HAVE TO REPLACE ENTIRE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM BECAUSE OF ONE PLASTIC PART. I WILL TRY TO REPLACE IT MYSELF WITH BILLETED ALUMINUM PART THAT I CAN BUY AT THE CAR PARTS STORE, INSTEAD BUYING THE WHOLE SYSTEM. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CHRYSLER CAN NOT PUT MORE DURABLE ONES. LIKE I SAID I ALREADY OWNED ONE CHRYSLER 300 AND THE SAME ISSUE EMERGED, SO WHEN THIS ISSUE HAPPENED I DECIDED TO WRITE ABOUT IT.

TAKATA AIRBAG COMPLAINT. THE DEALER HAS ONLY REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE AND AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS (OVER THE COURSE OF ALMOST 2 YEARS) HAS NEVER CONTACTED US TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE DEALER KEEPS SAYING THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART(S) IS /ARE UNAVAILABLE. ALSO - ALTHOUGH WE WERE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THIS VEH, WE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE. WE HAD TO DO OUR OWN RESEARCH.

I WAS DRIVING MY SON TO THE BUS STATION IN THE MORNING I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP MY CAR JUST TURN OFF,THEN IT DID IT AGAIN AFTER WHEN I PULL IN MY DRIVE WAY OF MY HOUSE IT JUST TURN OFF AGAIN IT DID IT TWO TIMES IN THE SAME DAY IM SO WORRIE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR!!!
12/5/2015 WENT TO THE MARKET, 2 MILES FROM HOME. WENT INTO THE STORE FOR APPROX. 15 MINUTES. WHEN I RETURNED TO CAR TO START IS WOULDN'T START, NOT A BATTERY PROBLEM. COULDN'T MOVE CAR SO HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, MCPEEKS DODGE OF ANAHEIM. SERVICE WRITER TOLD US THAT THE NOISE IN THE ENGINE WAS TWO VALVE SEATS DROPPED INTO THE ENGINE CAUSING CYLINDER HEAD AND BORE DAMAGE. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD OUR CAR SERVICE BY DEALER WHEN WE NEEDED OIL CHANGE, TUNE UP OR WHATEVER WAS NECESSARY FOR CAR. WE KEEP CAR IN GARAGE AND DRIVE AT POSTED SPEED AND ALWAYS KEEP OUR VEHICLE IN NEW CONDITION. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE IN OUR SEVENTIES SO WE AREN'T RECKLESS WITH OUR VEHICLES. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS OF ANY ENGINE TROUBLE AND THE SERVICE WRITER COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAD HAPPENED WITH ONLY 44,612 MILES ON A 2007 VEHICLE WHICH WE BOUGHT NEW IN 2007. WE HAD TO PAY $8749.65 FOR A NEW ENGINE WHICH IS ONLY GUARANTEED FOR 3 YRS OR 70,000 MILES. WE ONLY DRIVE ABOUT 5,000 MILES A YEAR. SO THIS MEANS IF THIS PROBLEM SHOULD HAPPEN AGAIN I WOULD HAVE ONLY PUT 15,000 MILES ON MY CAR IN THREE YEARS. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG. AFTER REVIEWING ASSOCIATED PROBLEMS ON THE INTERNET I FIND THAT CHRYSLER HAS ENGINE PROBLEMS WITH 2006, 2007 VEHICLES...ENGINE GOES OUT AT AROUND 70,000 MILES, OURS AT 44,612. WE PAID $42,000 FOR THE CAR NEW IN 2007. CHRYSLER SHOULD PAY FOR OUR PROBLEM SINCE THEY KNEW THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH 300, 300C ENGINES. WE ARE OUT THE TOWING TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE REPAIR USING A SMALL SAVINGS WE HAVE AS A RETIRED COUPLE. A SEVEN YEAR OLD CAR WITH 44,000 MILES SHOULD HAVE A ENGINE LAST LONGER. AS NOTED THE CAR WAS STOPPED AND PARKED AT A SUPERMARKET FOR NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AND DID NOT DEMONSTRATE ANY ENGINE PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THIS PROBLEM DROVE BEAUTIFULLY. WE HAVE THE BILL, WHICH HAS BEEN PAID BY US. I'M NOT SURE HOW TO DOWNLOAD, BUT I COULD FAX IF CONTACTED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A MANUFACTURER'S CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 111,000.

ENGINE STALLS VERY OFTEN EVEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HWY. NO MECHANIC NEITHER THE DEALER HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT.
ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS (INSTRUMENT PANEL) COME ON WHILE DRIVING AND THE GAUGES FLUCTUATES BACK AND FORTH, HEADLIGHTS GO OUT, THE JERKS BUT DOESN'T LOSE POWER. WARNING LIGHTS AND GAUGES FLICKER FOR 30-45 SECONDS BEFORE GOING OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BUT COULD NOT GET IT TO REPEAT AT THE SHOP. IT OCCURS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, AT VARIOUS TIMES (MORNINGS AND NIGHT), FROM 25-40MPH OR AT HIGHWAY (INTERSTATE) SPEED. THE LAST TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE WAS 11/09/2015 IN THE MORNING DURING RUSH HOUR TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15MPH.

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, MAKING A RIGHT-HAND TURN THE VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING, WITH NO WARNINGS ON THE DASHBOARD. IT JUST SHUT OFF. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT OF THE GARAGE ONE MORNING THE VEHICLE LOST STEERING TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO A REPUTABLE MECHANIC WHO KEPT IT FOR TWO DAYS AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE IT. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN IT DE-ACCELERATES WHILE TURNING TO THE RIGHT. ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS THE CAR ACTUALLY STOPPED. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT NO PROBLEM REGISTERS AND CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED UNLESS THEY MECHANIC CAN GET IT TO DUPLICATE. NOW, THE CAR WILL NOT TURN OVER. IT DROVE FINE, I GOT HOME PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE AND WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE AGAIN, GOT INTO THE VEHICLE TO START IT UP AND IT WILL NOT START. NO MESSAGES ON THE DASHBOARD. THE LIGHTS TURN ON YET IT WILL NOT TURN OVER. AT LEAST THIS TIME WHEN EVERYTHING WENT HAYWIRE I WAS SAFELY HOME AND NOT ON THE STREET, OR HIGHWAY DRIVING AS I HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.

COOLING FAN BROKE AND FRACTURED THE RADIATOR. FOUND THE ATTACHED CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTIFICATION L08 WHICH DESCRIBES WHAT HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE. WHEN I CALLED THE MANUFACTURER THEY SAID MY VEHICLE DOES NOT FALL UNDER IT.
