CAR HAS APPROX. 42525 LIMES. COMING FROM TRIP, HEARD LOUD ENGINE NOISE. WENT TO DEALER, FOUND PIPE FROM CATALYTIC TO MUFFLER BURNT OFF. DISCOVERED A KINK IN EXHAUST PIPE THAT WAS THERE WHEN MANUFACTURED AND IT CAUSED STRESS ON THE BEND FROM THE MUFFLER TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. HAD TO REPLACE ENTIRE SYSTEM FROM CATALYTIC BACK. NOT A CHEAP FIX BUT ONLY ONE THAT WAS AVAILABLE. DEALER DID A STAR CASE # 101881957. BUT TO DTE UNABLE TO GET ANY CONFIRMATION FROM CHRYSLER AS HAVING RECEIVED THIS.
DRIVING THE CAR UNDER NORMAL LOAD,S TARTED TO NOTICE A KNOCK FROM THE ENGINE. OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS IT PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE. PULLED PLUGS, CHECKED OIL. GAS, PUT A BOROSCOPE DOWN THE SPARK PLUG HOLES LOOKING FOR ENGINE DAMAGE. FINALLY HAD TO HAVE THE CAR SENT TO THE SHOP. WHEN THEY GOT THE MOTOR TORN DOWN THE BAD LIFTER WAS DISCOVERED. UPON SEEING THAT & DOING SOME RESEARCH THERE ARE QUITE A FEW POSTS ON FORUMS ABOUT THE MDS LIFTERS ON THE 5.7 & 6.4 HEMIS GOING BAD & DESTROYING A CAM. I HAVE HAD OIL ANALYSIS DONE ON MOST OIL CHANGES THROUGH OUT OWNER SHIP BUT THIS WASN'T PICKED UP ON FROM THE LAST ONE. NOT SURE IF IT WENT OUT QUICK & DESTROYED THE CAM OR IF IT HAD BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE. CAR ONLY HAS AROUND 75000 MILES.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,329.
ENGINE CYLINDER #2 MISFIRE, I WORK AS A SEDAN DRIVER FOR A LIMOUSINE COMPANY AND I'M EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2014 CHRYSLER 300, TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON, THE DIAGNOSE WAS A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #2, THE SHOP REPLACE SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS, AFTER RESETTING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THE MECHANIC TOOK THE CAR FOR A ROAD TEST AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK. AFTER SCANNING THE CAR AGAIN THE SAME CODE CAME OUT FOR A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #2. THE TESTED FUEL INJECTORS AND ENGINE COMPRESSION AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE ONLY FIX IS TO REPLACE THE HEAD CYLINDER. AFTER TALKING TO OTHER DRIVERS THAT OWN THE SAME VEHICLE AS MINE, THE TOLD ME THAT SOME OF THEM ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, AND 2 OF THEM THEY DID REPLACE THE CYLINDER HEAD ALREADY. DUE TO THE TYPE OF WORK WE DO WE PUT A LOT OF MILES ON OUR VEHICLES, SO FAR I 116,000 MILES SO I'M DEFINITELY NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY.

I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY AND I GOT A P0302 CODE. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL FOR THAT YEAR MAKE AND MODEL FOR THE ENGINE THEY TOLD ME THAT IT DOES NOT AFFECT THAT YEAR EVEN THO CHRYSLER RECALLED FOR THAT PARTICULAR PROBLEM JUST NOT THAT YEAR. ITS THE SAME ISSUE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,277.

MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I NEED A HEAD GASKET AND IT'S NUMBER 6 , AFTER MAKING MORE RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT CHRYSLER HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THERE ENGIN FOR MODEL 2011,2012,2013 AND THEY EXTENDED WARRANTY TO 150000 ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE BUT THEY REFUSED TO COVER MY CAR BECAUSE IT'S 2014 EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE SAME ISSUE

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD VALVE AND CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,814.
WHEN I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK, IT POPS INTO REVERSE. THEN I HIT THE ENGINE OFF BUTTON, BUT SINCE IT IS IN REVERSE, THE ENGINE STAYS ON. THE CONTACT COULD SMELL A BURNING ODOR FROM THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ON THE LAST OCCURRENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, WHO STATED THAT THE GASOLINE BEING USED WAS OF BAD QUALITY. THE CONTACT HAD ONLY PURCHASED MID GRADE GASOLINE TO REFUEL HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (AMBER) TURNS ON. 8:45I CALL DEALERSHIP AND AM TOLD BY SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO BRING IT IN BUT THEY ARE 3 DAYS BEHIND SCHEDULE AND THEY WILL DO THEIR BEST TO TRY GET TO IT 9:00CALLED AND SPOKE TO SALES MANAGER WHO SENT SOMEONE TO P/U VEHICLE. 3:30CAR RETURNED WHEN I ASKED WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, I WAS TOLD THAT A "FUSE" WAS LOOSE AND MUST NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INSTALLED. 9/24/2013 5:30ENROUTE TO HOME. VEHICLE LOSES ACCELERATION ON NW MILITARY HWY. MALFUNCTION LIGHT COMES ON AND I PRESS GAS TO ACCELERATION. PRESS BRAKES VEHICLE REGAINS ACCELERATION. MALFUNCTION LIGHT STAYS ON. DRIVE DIRECTLY TO DEALERSHIP. SPEAK WITH GENERAL MANAGER. SERVICE DEPARTMENT STILL HAS TICKET OPEN FROM THE 17TH INCIDENT. SERVICE EMPLOYEE READS NOTES ON TICKET. TRANSMISSION DIFFERENTIAL RATIO.
