FAILED MOTOR MOUNT 2004 CHYRSLER PACIFICA, APPARENTLY VERY COMMON AND CAN CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO CAR IF NOT FOUND IN THE EARLY STAGE. THIS IS SUPPOSED "NORMAL WEAR". NEVER HAVE I HAD TO REPLACE THESE PART BEFORE ON ANY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED. *TR
THE EVENTS LEASING UP TO THE DEFECT WERE ERRATIC GAS GAUGE READINGS, FROM 1/2 TANK TO EMPTY IMMEDIATELY, THEN SOMETIMES BACK TO HALF. THE CAR HAS STALLED ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING.BEING TOLD BY DEALER THAT IT NEEDS PARTS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GAS GAUGE READINGS IE: THROTTLE BODY CLEANING, MAP SENSOR, FUEL FILLER TUBE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE HOWEVER THE PARTS THAT IM BEING TOLD ARE NEEDED ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER UPON READING ALL OF THE DISCUSSION BOARDS AND LOOKING AT FORMER RECALLS THE PARTS THAT ARE BEING RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE TO FIX THE PROBLEM ARE UNDER MY WARRANTY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2009, WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE FRONT BUMPER FELL OFF OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAS NOT NOTIFIED THE DEALER OR MANUFACTURER. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 32,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE SUB FRAME THAT HOLDS THE ENGINE IN PLACE, THE SUSPENSION AND THE STEERING ARE COVERED WITH RUST. THE MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT RUST WAS ON THE SUB FRAME. THE DEALER REQUESTED WARRANTY INFORMATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE WARRANTY THAT COVERED RUST HAD EXPIRED. THE CONTACT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING HE HEARD A GRINDING NOISE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE TECHNICIAN CONCLUDED THAT THE SUB-FRAME CRACKED FROM CORROSION. HE THEN ADDED THAT IT WOULD COST $3000.00 TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 75,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE A FRAME ON THE VEHICLE. AN AUTO CENTER MECHANIC ADVISED HER THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE A FRAME WHILE CHANGING THE OIL. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE A FRAME AND THE REPAIR COST WOULD BE $1900. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE COULD NOT AFFORD TO PAY TO HAVE THE FRAME REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WILL BE NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,631.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IN ADDITION, THE HORN AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WERE NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING FAILED AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THE FRONT SUB-FRAME HAS RUSTED OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR AN INSPECTION AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE SUB FRAME WAS RUSTED. THE DEALER TOOK PICTURES AND INFORM THE CONTACT NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE. THE DEALER STATED THEY WILL CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER TO CHECK IF THERE ARE ANY WARRANTY FOR THIS FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THEY WILL PAY 50% OF THE COST OF THE REPAIRS BUT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE OTHER 50% . THERE ARE NO RECALLS OR WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
THE BLOWER SWITCH IS STUCK ON THE HIGHEST MODE AND I AM UNABLE TO TURN OFF THE BLOWER AND THE BLOWER WILL CONTINUE TO RUN FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS AFTER ENGINE IS SHUT OFF. THUS WHEN I START MY CAR THE BLOWER IS ON HIGH . THE CAR IS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. HAS THERE BEEN ANY REPORTS FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THIS ISSUE? THE DEALER, JOLLY JOHN IN SACO MAINE, SAYS THEY WILL NEED TO REMOVE MY DASHBOARD TO DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THIS AND WILL COST APPROXIMATELY, AT LEAST $1,000.00. *TR
WE WERE TOLD LAST WEEK THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS ON OUR 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WERE GONE. NOT BROKEN.... GONE. I HAD NOTICED SOME FRONT END SHAKING WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE WAS LOUD WHEN I WOULD HIT THE ACCELERATOR FROM A STOP. OUR MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE MISSING AND CAUSING THE ISSUES. EVERY TIME I HIT THE GAS, THE ENGINE JUMPS UP A COUPLE OF INCHES. MY MECHANIC CALLED AROUND AND WAS UNABLE TO GET HIS HANDS ON ANY MOTOR MOUNTS AT THIS TIME. HE WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE ON BACKORDER AT THIS TIME. I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH PACIFICAS. I HAVE FOUND A SITE, WWW.TOPIX.COM, HAS A FORUM OPEN TO LIST THE ISSUES WITH THESE CARS. OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, MANY PEOPLE HAVE STATED THAT THIS PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND CAN'T BE FOUND ANYWHERE. ONE PERSON ALSO SAID THAT CHRYSLER IS NOT MAKING THE PART ANY MORE. I FIND THIS TO BE POOR BUSINESS ON CHRYSLER'S PART. I TRY TO BUY AMERICAN, BUT I HAVE TO BE HONEST.... MY CONFIDENCE IS FAILING HERE. I FEEL CHRYSLER SHOULD DO THE 'RIGHT THING' AND MAKE GOOD TO ALL THE PACIFICA OWNERS WHO ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. AT THE VERY LEAST, MAKE THE PART!!!!!! *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT TOOK HER VEHICLE IN FOR A ROUTINE INSPECTION, BUT IT FAILED DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUST ON THE FRAME. THE DEALER REFERRED HER TO A WARRANTY SPECIALIST AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED ITS WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 87,000.
I DECIDED TO REPORT THIS COMPLAINT WHEN I READ OF A SIMILAR INCIDENT IN A AUTOMOTIVE NEWSPAPER COLUMN. I WAS TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY ABOUT 50 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN MY 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED. FORTUNATELY MY SON WAS SITTING IN THE BACKSEAT (OR I SHUDDER TO THINK WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED TO HIM), AND THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD UNTIL I COULD SAFELY PULL OVER. THERE WAS NO COLLISION THAT MADE THE BAG DEPLOY, NOR DID I RUN OVER ANYTHING IN THE ROAD. THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WAS "FRIED" IN ADDITION TO THE BAG DEPLOYING. THE CAR DEALER AND THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM CHRYSLER WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY--THEY BLAMED THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT HAD DONE SOME COLLISION WORK ON THE CAR A MONTH EARLIER. THE COLLISION SHOP SAID THAT THE WORK THEY DID WAS NOWHERE NEAR ANYTHING RELATED TO THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. NO ONE COULD GIVE AN EXPLANATION FOR WHY THE AIRBAG HAD DEPLOYED EVEN AFTER THEY EXAMINED THE VEHICLE OVER A WEEK'S TIME. SO, DESPITE THEIR BEING NO RATIONAL REASON WHY THE AIRBAG WOULD SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOY, CHRYSLER STILL REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR OFFER ANY COMPENSATION--IN FACT THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE ON THE PHONE. MY INSURANCE COMPANY WOULDN'T COVER THE DAMAGE AND FRANKLY I DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE CAR EVEN IF IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED SINCE THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. WE WERE FORCED TO "JUNK" THE CAR AND BUY A NEW/USED ONE. CHRYSLER IS LUCKY THAT THE DEPLOYING AIRBAG DIDN'T CAUSE ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND THAT NO ONE WAS SITTING IN THAT SEAT. SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN DIED, BUT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO LOOK INTO OR ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM. I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE! *TR
I OWN A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. I AM HAVING A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE FUEL GAUGE. THE GAUGE SHOWS 1/2 FULL AND THEN THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW IS THAT IT DROPS TO EMPTY AND YOU RUN OUT OF GAS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER A MONTH AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE IN A FEW DAYS. THIS ISSUE IS DANGEROUS AS YOU RUN OUT OF GAS WITHOUT A METHOD OF KNOWING WHAT IS GOING ON. IN ADDITION, WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO FILL THE TANK WITH GAS, IT CONTINUES TO POP AVOIDING YOU FROM PUTTING GAS IN THE CAR. I CAN TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES TO FORCE 1/2 TANK OF GAS IN THE CAR TO WHERE THE GAUGE WILL SHOW THE CAR FULL. *TR
WHILE HAVING MY FRONT END INSPECTED ON MY 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFIC, THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THE FRAME THAT HOLDS THE ENGINE WAS RUSTED ON THE SUB FRAME. HE ADDED NOT TO DRIVE VEHICLE, EXCEPT TO A DEALER SHIP TO HAVE THE FRAME FIX. THE DEALER SAID IT WOULD COST AROUND $4000 DOLLARS AND YOU COULD NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO ADVISED HER THAT THE CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED HER THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 109,700.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING. *TR
LOUD CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE DURING STARTS, STOPS, AND TURNS. DISCOVERED THE NOISE IS RELATED TO WEAK MOTOR MOUNTS CRACKING AND BREAKING. THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH I HAVE DISCOVERED HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT CHRYSLER PACIFICA MOTOR MOUNTS. THEY ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO BACKORDER ISSUES. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AS MOTORS CAN COME LOOSE DURING AN ACCIDENT NOT TO MENTION POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO OTHER PARTS OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE LOOSE MOTOR. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO INITIATE A RECALL TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNTS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT TOOK HER VEHICLE TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. IN ADDITION, A NAIL WAS FOUND IN THE TIRE. THE DEALER STATED THAT INNER TIE RODS AND TIRE BALANCING WERE NEEDED. THEY FURTHER STATED THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE WAS CORRODED. THE DEALER TOOK PICTURES TO SEND TO THE MANUFACTURER SO THEY COULD BE ADVISED ON HOW TO PROCEED. THE CONTACT IS CURRENTLY WAITING ON A RETURN PHONE CALL FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
CHRYSLER PACIFICA ENGINE MOUNTS FAILURE AND NO REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE. ENGINE MOUNTS HAVE FAILED 3 TIMES IN 120,000 MILES, BUT NOW THEY CAN'T BE REPLACED. NO AFTERMARKETS AVAILABLE AND CHRYSLER IS ON A "4 MONTH NATIONAL BACKORDER". MY MECHANIC CONFIRMS A DESIGN FAILURE, BUT NO ALTERNATIVES. EVERY PACIFICA HE KNOWS HAS AN ENGINE MOUNT FAILURE WITH NO OPTIONS FOR REPAIR. *TR
1. THE ISSUE HAS EXISTED FOR A FEW YEARS, BUT DIAGNOSIS HAS BEEN CONCLUSIVE ONLY RECENTLY. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO HAVE ARISEN FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN FREQUENTLY, BUT IS NOT ABUSED IN ANY WAY. 2. THE MOTOR MOUNTS HAVE FAILED, AT LEAST ONE IS COMPLETELY BROKEN. THE RESULT IS A VERY LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WHEN BRAKING SHARPLY. IT IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME IF FURTHER DAMAGE WILL BE FOUND RESULTING FROM THIS CONDITION PENDING REPAIR. 3. THE VEHICLE IS WAITING FOR PARTS WHICH HAVE BEEN ON BACKORDER. ONCE THE PART ARRIVES, REPAIRS WILL COMMENCE. *TR

I KNOW THAT THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED PREVIOUSLY AND IT IS APPALLING TO REALIZE THAT NO ACTION HAS BEEN EFFECTED BY THIS OVERSIGHT ARM. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR POOR DESIGN AND QUALITY STANDARDS AND FIND AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE THAT HAS AFFECTED EVERY PACIFICA MANUFACTURED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT HEARD A KNOCKING SOUND WHENEVER THE TRANSMISSION HAS TO SHIFT. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FAILING. IN FEBRUARY OR MARCH OF 2009, THE VEHICLE HAD A TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK. THE DEALER REPLACED A SEAL AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STILL HAS THE WORK ORDER FOR THAT REPAIR. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,500.

HEADLAMP 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FAILURE (THIS WAS A RECALL ITEM ON 2005 MODEL ) THE RIGHT SIDE FAILED IN 2004 BUT WAS REPAIRED BY CHRYSLER NOW THE LEFT SIDE FAILED THIS COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A NEGATIVE DRIVER OUTCOME (CRASH). *TR
I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER PACIFIC 2 WEEKS AGO AND IMMEDIATELY FOUND ISSUES WITH IT I TOOK IT BACK AND ASKED FOR IT TO BE FIXED. THEY KEPT IT FOR A DAY AND NOTHING WAS DONE. I GOT TO WORK ONEDAY AND IT WOULD NOT START. I TOOK IT SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BE LOOKED AT AND WAS TOLD THE FRONT TIRES RODS WERE BAD, THE STABILIZER WAS BAD AND 3 TIRES BALD. I CANT GET THE DEALER TO TAKE ME OUT OF THE LOAN AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK WHAT CAN I DO? *TR
MY CAR WAS RECENTLY STATE INSPECTED AND IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT I NEEDED THE FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNTS ON MY 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM, I READ COMPLAINTS FROM MANY OWNERS WHO HAD THE EXACT SAME FAILURES WITH THEIR PACIFICA'S DESPITE LOW MILEAGE (30,000 TO 40,000 MILES). THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE A SERIOUS DEFECT WITH THIS CAR BECAUSE THE MOTOR MOUNT IS ON BACKORDER WITH THE MAJORITY OF CHRYSLER DEALERS. A CHRYSLER PARTS DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE AT REEDMAN'S DEALERSHIP IN LANGHORNE, PA. TOLD ME THE PART IS ON BACKORDER WITH NO AVAILABILITY DATE FORECASTED. THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THIS IS A SURE SIGN OF A SERIOUS PROBLEM WHEN THIS OCCURS. I HAVE A PROBLEM NOW BECAUSE I WON'T BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR WHEN THE STATE INSPECTION STICKER EXPIRES THE END OF APRIL. I HAVE READ THE SHORTAGE IS POSSIBLY SELF INFLICTED SO AS TO AVOID WARRANTY REPAIRS. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IS TRUE BECAUSE BAD MOTOR MOUNTS COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT AND LIABILITY ISSUES. HOWEVER, I DO BELIEVE THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND IF DEEMED CREDIBLE A RECALL INITIATED TO CORRECT THE REASON FOR THE EARLY FAILURES I.E. DEFECTIVE PART OR ENGINEERING FLAW. *TR
I WAS DRIVING THROUGH SLUSH DOWN A HILL WHEN THE ABS BRAKES FAILED TO SLOW ME DOWN AND I HIT TREES HEAD ON AT ABOUT 40 MPH. THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. TWO SYSTEMS FAILED ON THE 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AWD CAR. I WAS NOT INJURED, OTHER THAN A FEW SEAT BELT BRUISES, BUT THE CAR WAS TOTALED. *TR

SHE HAD TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE TO STOP IT FROM REVVING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED, BUT THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST. OUR 2004 PACIFICA HAS A BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT, AND WE WERE TOLD BY DEALER THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER INDEFINITELY, NOW DRIVING AROUND WITH A BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT, POSSIBLE DAMAGE BEING DONE TO THE ENGINE. THE CAR IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT CAN'T GET IT FIXED BECAUSE CHRYSLER IS NOT MAKING ANY PARTS ANY TIME SOON, IF AT ALL; WE WANT TO KNOW WHEN CHRYSLER WILL START MAKING PARTS TO FIX OUR CAR. *TR
THE WATER HOSE BECAME DISCONNECTED FROM THE RADIATOR ON MY 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA , AND THE REPAIR SHOP STATED MY MOTOR MOUNTS SHOULD BE REPLACE BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS NOT STATIONARY WHICH CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THERE IS ALSO KNOCKING AND POPPING NOISES WHEN I BREAK OR TURN CORNERS. SOMETHING LIKE THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN ON A 4 1/2 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 43,780 MILES ON IT, AND ALWAYS KEPT IN THE GARAGE, AND PROMPTLY SERVICED AT ALL TIMES. THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED RECENTLY TO OUR FRIENDS ON THEIR 2004 CHRYSLER PACIFICA, THIS DEFINITELY IS A PROBLEM ON THOSE CARS. I'M SURE THAT IF THAT HAPPENED ON TWO CARS THERE ARE MOST LIKELY A LOT MORE ON THE ROAD WAITING FOR A DISASTER TO HAPPEN. FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT THAT ENDED UP IN A TOTAL LOSS OF THE VEHICLE. AUTO ADJUSTER NOTIFIED THE FUEL LINE CAUSED THE FIRE. *TR

HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT BECAUSE THE COMPONENT WAS MANUFACTURED OUT OF INSUFFICIENT MATERIALS, IT EASILY FAILED. THE FUEL TANK WAS REPLACED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 53,000.

IN INVESTIGATING UNUSUALLY FAST AND UNEVEN TIRE WEAR, MECHANIC DOING ALIGNMENT NOTICED SIDE ENGINE MOUNT PARTIALLY BROKEN AND FRONT ENGINE MOUNT COMPLETELY BROKEN AND DETACHED, SO THAT ENGINE MOVES WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION. CAR CANNOT BE SAFELY DRIVEN UNTIL REPAIRED, AND CHRYSLER CANNOT SUPPLY FRONT ENGINE MOUNT. PRIVATE GARAGE REPLACED BOTH MOUNTS AND NEW FRONT ENGINE MOUNT FAILED IMMEDIATELY WHEN CAR STARTED TO MOVE. PART APPEARS DEFECTIVE, OR SOME OTHER DESIGN FLAW CAUSES FAILURE. CHRYSLER DEALER REPORTS 1300+ FRONT ENGINE MOUNTS ON BACKORDER WITH SUPPLIER, INDICATING WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. THERE WERE 12,000 PARTS THAT WERE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE. THE CONTACT HAD BEEN WAITING TWO MONTHS FOR THE PART TO ARRIVE. TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS ON CHRYSLER MODELS ARE PRONE TO VALVE CORE CORROSION. THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN VALVE CORE FAILURE AND SUBSEQUENT, RAPID RELEASE OF TIRE AIR PRESSURE. THE VALVE CORE SEPARATES LEAVING THE THREADED PORTION OF THE CORE INSIDE THE VALVE STEM. THIS CONDITION HAS PRESENTED TWICE DURING ATTEMPTS TO INFLATE TIRES TO PROPER PRESSURE AND ONCE WHILE DRIVING. WE TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND WAITED 2 MONTHS FOR THE FIRST MOTOR MOUNT TO BE ORDERED AND RECEIVED THERE WAS A NATIONAL BACKORDER. WHILE IN THE SHOP THEY DISCOVERED THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT WAS NOW BAD. THIS TIME THERE IS 2600 ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND THIS TIME THERE IS NOT A TIME FRAME TO HAVE IT FIXED. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY WILL NOT TALK TO ME BECAUSE I BOUGHT MY CAR USED IN 2006. CHRYSLER DOES NOT SHOW ME AS THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I AM DRIVING MY FAMILY IN A CAR THAT IS UN-SAFE. IF CHRYSLER KNOWS OF THE ISSUE THEN WHY ARE THEY NOT DOING ANYTHING TO HELP. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR SIX YEARS BOUGHT IT USED. I HAVE HAD THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES. IF I TURN SHARP THEY BREAK. THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE WARRANTY COVERED THEM.
