FUEL TANK VALVE DEFECTIVE, ALLOWING FUEL INTO CHARCOAL CHAMBER, ALSO ISSUES WITH OTHER VALVES RELATED TO THE GAS TANK. FUEL MODULE PCM AND TANK REPLACEMENT WERE REQUIRED. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WITH A STICKY ACCELERATOR PEDAL. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER DURING THE SUMMER 2008 AND WE WERE TOLD THE THROTTLE CABLE IN THE ACCELERATOR HAD CARBON BUILD UP AND HAD TO BE CLEANED. THE DEALER CLEANED IT AND IT WAS FINE UNTIL WE HAD TO TAKE IT BACK ON 12/21/09. AGAIN THEY CLEANED THE THROTTLE CABLE. THE FIRST REPAIR WAS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THE SECOND TIME COST US $125. I BELIEVE OUR PACIFICA HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE TOYOTAS'. I'M SURE WE'LL HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK AGAIN. *TR
I WAS EXITING OFF THE FREEWAY AND CAME TO A STOP. AS I ACCELERATED OUT OF THE STOP A GUSH OF HOT RADIATOR FLUID CAME SHOOTING OUT OF AN AREA RIGHT ABOVE THE GAS PEDDLE AND BURNED MY RIGHT ANKLE. I SUSTAINED SECOND DEGREE BURNS AND WAS TREATED AT MY LOCAL DOCTOR'S OFFICE. *TR
MY WIFE AND I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA, WHICH WE ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE GAS PEDAL STICKING. WHILE ACCELERATING THE PEDAL STICKS AND JERKS YOU FORWARD UNTIL YOU HAVE SMOOTH ACCELERATION WHILE PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM. WE HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERS ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS FINE BUT HAVE NOTICED THE PROBLEM THEMSELVES. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS ALOT OF THE SAME PROBLEMS AFTER BROWSING THE INTERNET THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED IF THIS ISN'T LOOKED INTO. AT APPROXIMATELY 48,000 MILES THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. IT EVENTUALLY WENT OFF BUT THEN THE BRAKES FAILED. THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE CAR CAME GRINDING TO A HALT. THE ABS LIGHT NOW GOES ON AND OFF AND THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AT LEAST ONCE A DAY. AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM AND SPEAKING TO A MECHANIC, I FOUND THAT THE SENSORS HAD FAILED. IT IS A FREQUENT OCCURRENCE AMONG OTHER 2005-2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA OWNERS I'VE COME INTO CONTACT WITH ACROSS THE INTERNET. *TR
MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAS AN ABS WARNING LIGHT THAT COMES ON AND OFF, I WENT TO MIDAS AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL RELATED TO THIS, I WENT TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID ONLY A TECHNICAL ADVISORY WAS ISSUED SAYING TO CHANGE ALL THE BRAKE SENSORS IF ONE FAILS--THIS WOULD COST ME ABOUT $500--WHICH I DON'T HAVE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID I WOULD STILL HAVE BRAKES BUT THE ABS SYSTEM WOULD NOT WORK SO I WOULD BE MORE LIKELY TO SKID. THIS DOESN'T SOUND SAFE TO ME--I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND MULTIPLE SITES STATING THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER PACIFICAS--SO WHY WON'T CHRYSLER PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED, AND IF THEY DON'T VOLUNTEER WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE IN OUR GOVERNMENT MAKE THEM? HELP! I HAUL KIDS AROUND ALL DAY IN MY PACIFICA AND I WANT THEM ( AND ME) TO BE SAFE. *TR
2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA, STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS AT 50,000 MILES. ABS SENSORS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND RECALL FOR FUEL MODULE...BUT MOST UPSETTING THE CAR STALLS AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHILE MAKING TURNS..IE: PULLING INTO PARKING SPACES,ETC.. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO DEALERSHIP AND LIKE MANY OTHERS WITHOUT ENGINE LIGHT ON THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM, THEREFORE WE ARE SENT ON OUR WAY WITH NO FIX!! I HAVE 4 CHILDREN AND I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR!! WHY WONT CHRYSLER STAND BEHIND THESE VEHICLES!!!*TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THE BULB HAD BEEN REPLACED FIVE TIMES. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP INTO GEARS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 86,584.
I HAVE HAD MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FOR LESS THAN A WEEK WHEN MY FUEL GAUGE WENT FROM 1/2 OF A TANK TO EMPTY WHILE DRIVING. THEN IT WENT BACK UP TO 1/2 OF A TANK A MINUTE LATER. WHEN I WENT DOWN A HILL THE VEHICLE STALLED AND HAD TO BE PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND THIS SCARED ME. I LOOKED UP MY VIN NUMBER BUT FOUND NO RECALL, HOWEVER I FOUND THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM IN OTHER 05 PACIFICAS AND I FOUND THAT THEY HAD BEEN RECALLED. I HAVE MY CAR BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP GETTING FIXED BUT AM DESPERATE TO FIND OUT IF THIS RECALL COULD BE MY PROBLEM. *TR
CAR STALLS AND READS THAT THE TANK IS EMPTY EVEN WHEN THERE IS GAS IN THE VEHICLE. IT OCCURS REGULARLY. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE YET. I WAS TOLD EGR SYSTEM, THEN THROTTLE BODY, AND NOW I SUPPOSEDLY NEED A $1000 FUEL PUMP JOB. VERY IRRITATED. *TR
ENGINE SEIZED WITH NO WARNING. ALL MAINTENANCE WAS MAINTAINED BUT SOMEHOW THE ENGINE WAS STARVED FOR OIL. ENGINE ONLY HAS 52,000 MI. CHRYSLER WON'T OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE AND WERE HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. NEW ENGINE WILL COST $8,000 USED $5,000. I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 2 YRS. *TR
2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. RIGHT HEADLIGHT WILL QUIT WITH NO WARNING, THEN WILL COME BACK ON ITS OWN ACCORD. DEALER CHECKED FOR PREVIOUS REPORTS OF PROBLEM AND FOUND NONE. MECHANIC SAID THE HARNESS COMES LOOSE AND MUST BE RESEATED. NO EASY TASK SINCE IT IS UNDER THE BREATHER TUBE AND DIFFICULT TO GET TO. ALSO, LEFT REAR TURN SIGNAL WILL QUIT WORKING THEN COME BACK ON. WIRING HARNESS SEEMS TO BE INTACT SO OTHER OPTION WOULD BE BULBS (2). HOWEVER, IF THEY ARE BAD, WHY DOES THE SIGNAL RESTORE ITSELF? DEALER HAD NO ANSWER FOR THAT MYSTERY EITHER. PROBLEM STARTED MID-SUMMER 2008 AND HAS CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY EVER SINCE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS PASSED BY AN 18-WHEELER TRACTOR TRAILER AND HER SUN ROOF SUDDENLY EXPLODED WITH A LOUD BANG. SHE WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT UNTIL JUNE 16, 2008 FOR THE PARTS TO ARRIVE FOR THE REPAIR, AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE SUN ROOF AT THE COST OF $343.74. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,607 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,652. UPDATED 07/15/08. *LJ UPDATED 007/15/08
OUR DAUGHTER WAS OPERATING OUR 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA ON I75 IN FLORIDA WHEN THE A NEW RIGHT REAR (1501 MILES) GOODYEAR INTEGRITY TIRE BLEW OUT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN AND SKID 300 FEET BEFORE HITTING GUARDRAILS WITH BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE CAR. AN EYE WITNESS CONFIRMED THE BLOWOUT WHICH RESULTED IN COMPLETE TREAD AND SIDEWALL SEPARATION TO THE ATTENDING FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER. OUR DAUGHTER AND FOUR YEAR OLD GRANDSON WERE TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE TO THE PASCO REGIONAL HOSPITAL TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF THEIR INJURIES. THE FOUR YEAR OLD WAS NOT INJURED, HOWEVER OUR DAUGHTER SUFFERED NECK AND BACK TRAUMA AND IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING PHYSICAL THERAPY THREE TIMES PER WEEK. ALL FOUR GOODYEAR TIRES WERE PURCHASED NEW IN LATE MARCH 2008 FROM AN AUTHORIZED GOODYEAR DEALER IN TAMPA FLORIDA. *TR
I BEGAN HAVING A PROBLEM ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO WITH MY ABS LIGHT COMING ON. IT WOULD COME ON AND TURN OFF RANDOMLY. RECENTLY THE LIGHT CAME ON PERMANENTLY AND MY BRAKES BEGAN GRINDING. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WERE TOLD THAT THE ABS SENSOR IS BAD. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE MOTOR MOUNTS CRACKED AND MUST BE REPLACED. MY VEHICLE IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, AND HAS 47000 MILES ON IT. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND THAT BOTH OF THESE ISSUES ARE A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. THE DEALER THAT WE PURCHASED IT FROM ADMITTED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM, BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND ANY RECALL INFORMATION REGARDING EITHER PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT BOTH PROBLEMS ARE DANGEROUS, SINCE THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK PROPERLY IN MY SITUATION. IF CRACKED MOTOR MOUNTS ARE NOT TAKEN CARE OF, THEY COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COMPONENTS. I THINK THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THESE PROBLEMS AT THEIR COST. I'VE SEEN MANY OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING THAT EVEN AFTER THEY'VE "FIXED" THE PROBLEM, THEY CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I THINK BOTH OF THESE ITEMS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR RECALL. *TR
WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES SUDDENLY, THE CAR WOBBLES VIOLENTLY AND ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 TIMES SINCE I HAVE HAD THE CAR. THE DEALER SAYS THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES, BUT DID NOTHING TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA IN 2007 AND IT HAD 25,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD 39,000 MILES ON IT I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WOULD GET STUCK IN GEAR (STUCK BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND GEARS). AFTER I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT, I COULD DRIVE IT BY USING THE TIPTRONIC SHIFTING SYSTEM (MANUALLY SHIFTING GEARS). THE PROBLEM IS A SENSOR ON THE TRANSMISSION THAT COSTS OVER $2000 BETWEEN PARTS AND LABOR. AT 72,000 MILES I HAD TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE FRONT END COMPONENTS I.E CONTROL ARMS,TIE RODS,ETC. AFTER CONTACTING CHRYSLER ABOUT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH HAS A GOV'T MANDATED WARRANTY OF 80,000 MILE WARRANTY, THEY DID GIVE ME THE MONEY I SPENT ON THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER PART ONLY). WELL, THE CHRYSLER NOW HAS 104,000 MILES ON IT AND IT NEEDS ANOTHER CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND ALL THE FRONT END PARTS THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN! THAT IS INSANE! I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND CHRYSLER KNOWS THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE BECAUSE THEIR ARE COMPANIES SELLING THIS FRONT END REPAIR KIT. BUT SINCE I NEED THE CAR I GUESS I HAVE TO EAT THESE COSTS YET AGAIN. AT 68,000 I REPLACED A HDMI HEADLIGHT THAT COSTS OVER $160.00 PER BULB. SOON AFTER I BEGAN TO SMELL SOMETHING BURNING, AND THE NEW HEAD LIGHT BURNED OUT. I HAD TO REPLACE THE BULB AGAIN AT AN ADDITIONAL $160.00 AND THIS LITTLE SILVER BOX THAT THE LIGHT SITS IN FOR $80.00. NOW AT 104,00 MILES BOTH PARTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN, AND ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER DEALER, THIS ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ELECTRICAL HARNESS, IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, AND I HAVE TO EAT THIS COST TOO. IN MY OPINION THE TICKETS ARE CHEAPER THAN THE PART. MANY OF THE CHRYSLER DEALERS DO NOT TRY TO HELP DIAGNOSE PROBLEM AND THEY REMIND ME EVERYTHING IS OUT OF WARRANTY - GREAT JOB! *TR
MOTOR MOUNTS CRACKED 23,000 MILES,CV JOINTS BAD,AIR COMPRESSOR BAD,BELTS SQUEAL AND CHIRPING,ENGINE STALLS ON TAKE OFF, ENGINE SHUT OFF ON HIGHWAY WHILE DRIVING DANGEROUS,BRAKES FAILED, ABS SENSORS BAD FRONT RIGHT AND LEFT. TRANSMISSION FAILURE. HEADLIGHTS GO OUT WHEN SIGNAL LIGHT IS ON. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WHICH WAS MANUFACTURED, ACCORDING TO MY DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 16, 2005. I HAD BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP 11/06 BECAUSE OF A SEAT BELT PROBLEM AND WHEN I WAS THERE THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL AND THAT THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF IT. RECALL F-44. I HAD NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP PRIOR TO THAT. THIS WEEK MY CAR STALLED TWICE. ONCE WHEN TURNING LEFT, ONCE WHEN TURNING RIGHT. CAR WAS ABLE TO START UP AGAIN. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP (CHRYSLER JEEP OF WHITE PLAINS AT 70 WESTCHESTER AVE., WHITE PLAINS, NY 10601 PHONE: 914-946-3544). THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED 2 NEW FUEL PUMPS AND IT WOULD COST $1210 AND IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THERE WAS NO RECALL NOTICE. I DID MY RESEARCH AND FOUND THE F-44 RECALL ONLINE WHICH STATES A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM. I HAVE SPENT THE LAST 2 DAYS TALKING TO THE DEALERSHIP (WHICH HAS MY CAR) AND DAIMLER-CHRYSLER REGARDING THE PROBLEM. THE HEADQUARTERS FIRST TOLD ME MY PUMP PROBLEM WAS PART OF THE RECALL AND THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAD TO REPLACE THE PUMPS FREE OF CHARGE. BUT WHEN THE DEALERSHIP TALKED TO THEM THEY TOLD HQ THAT THEY HAD BEEN DIRECTED TO CHANGE THE FUEL PUMPS ONLY ON CERTAIN 2005 PACIFICAS. ONLY ON ONES MANUFACTURED WITHIN A CERTAIN DATE. THEY SAID ON MY 2005 PACIFICA THEY ONLY HAD TO REPROGRAM THE PCM. I, AS A CONSUMER, SEE IT THAT ONE RECALL WAS MADE AND IT WAS MADE BECAUSE OF A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM WHICH WOULD CAUSE A CAR TO STALL. I AM HAVING THOSE PROBLEMS. THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THAT THEY WERE ACTUALLY 2 RECALLS - ONE FOR THE FUEL PUMP AND ONE TO REPROGRAM. I DO NOT SEE IT THAT WAY - THERE WAS ONLY 1 RECALL AND IT WAS FOR THE PROBLEMS I AM HAVING. THEY ARE MAKING ME PAY $1210+ FOR A PROBLEM THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE RECALL IN THE FIRST PLACE !!!!! *TR
MY MICHELIN ENERGY PLUS LX4 TIRES HAVE BEEN LOSING AIR PRESSURE AT AN EXTREME RATE. WE MUST PUT AIR IN THEM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. TOOK THE CAR (2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA) TO THE ONLY LOCAL MICHELIN DEALER. WHEN WE EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE TIRE, TECHNICIAN SAID HE ALREADY KNEW THE PROBLEM- THAT IT IS VERY COMMON. MICHELIN TIRES REACT WITH ALUMINUM RIMS (WHICH MY PACIFICA HAS) AND CAUSE OXIDATION. HE SAID IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE- THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. TO FIX THE PROBLEM, THEM PUT A NEW SEALANT BETWEEN THE TIRES AND THE RIMS- COST OF APPROX. $80. HE COULD NOT TELL ME IF AND/OR WHEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO NEVER HAVE HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM. MY PACIFICA WAS TAKEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION 1 1/2 WEEKS AFTER THE TIRES WERE "RE-SEALED" BY THE MICHELIN DEALER. AT THAT TIME, THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS CHECKED AND SET TO CORRECT PRESSURE (NOT SURE IF THEY WERE LOW AT THE TIME) AS STATED ON MY RECEIPT. 1 WEEK LATER, ALL TIRES ARE DOWN AT LEAST 8 PSI- 2 ARE DOWN 12 PSI. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT HAS A STALLING PROBLEM. AT SLOW SPEEDS IT STALLS OUT ON ME AND ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN TRAFFIC SLOWS DOWN. *TR
I OWN A 2005 PACIFICA THAT SUDDENLY BEGAN DISPLAYING THE ABS DASH TROUBLE LIGHT TWO YEARS AGO. SUBSEQUENTLY THE BRAKES PULSE AND GRIND AS LONG AS THE LIGHT STAYS LIGHT. AT TIMES IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS APPROACHING TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE FRONT RIGHT BRAKE SENSOR. THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION WITH NO BRAKE PROBLEMS. A MONTH LATER THE SAME BRAKE ISSUES REAPPEARED. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHO THE REPLACED THE SAME SENSOR AND ANOTHER (FRONT LEFT) SENSOR. THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE MORE MONTHS. NOW THE LIGHT HAS COME ON AGAIN. IN REVIEWING THE INTERNET WHILE SEARCHING FOR "2005 PACIFICA ABS BRAKE PROBLEMS", I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT CHRYSLER HAS DESIGNED IN A REVENUE STREAM FOR A POORLY DESIGNED ABS BRAKE SYSTEM. THERE ARE MANY INTERNET COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS VERY ISSUE. WHY HAS A RECALL NOT BEEN ISSUED? ARE YOU PROTECTING WHAT REMAINS OF CHRYSLER'S ASSETS? FAIR IS FAIR. THE ABS LIGHT REMAINS LIT ON MY VEHICLE AND THE DEALER WANTS TO BOLT ON THE SAME REPLACEMENTS. WHY IS A SAFETY ISSUE REGARDING THE BRAKING SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE NOT HIGH ON THE PRIORITY LIST? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT MANUAL FORCE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE LOW FUEL AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS. AFTER CONFRONTING TECHNICIANS WITH THE COMPLAINTS THEY ADMITTED THEY HAD SEEN SEVERAL OTHER PACS FOR THE SAME STALLING PROBLEM. IN FACT, TECHNICIANS HAD REPLACED IAC MOTOR ON OTHER PACS THEY HAD SERVICED FOR STALLING PROBLEM - SAME REMEDY SUGGESTED IN GOOGLED COMPLAINTS BUT NOT OFFERED TO ME. DEALERSHIP REPLACED IAC MOTOR FOR FREE. DUE TO GENERAL CONCERN ABOUT APPARENT DANGEROUS NATURE OF ALL PACS & OUTRAGE OVER DECEPTIVE SERVICE AT DEALER, I COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER CORP. GOT A FEEBLE CORPORATE RESPONSE ABOUT "MY DISSATISFACTION WITH MY SERVICE NEEDS." CHRYSLER NEVER EVEN MENTIONED STALLING PROBLEM. IAC FIX SEEMED TO WORK UNTIL 1.5 MONTHS AGO WHEN PAC STALLED AGAIN. I DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO RESPOND TO THE RECALL INVOLVING THE PCM REPROGRAMMING & HEADED BACK TO DEALER. 3 WEEKS AFTER PCM FIX, CAR IS STALLING EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN, WHETHER TURNING OR NOT. PAC IS CURRENTLY AT DEALER. TECHNICIANS REFUSE TO DEAL WITH THIS AS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH PAC MODEL - OBVIOUSLY GIVEN NO DIRECTION FROM CHRYSLER CORP TO DO SO. DEALER SAYS WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR ANYTHING THEY DO TO FIX PROBLEM - TOTALLY ABSURD SINCE NOTHING THEY HAVE DONE TO DATE HAS FIXED PROBLEM. BOTTOM LINE: PAC MODELS ARE EXPERIENCING SYSTEMATIC ENGINE FAILURES=TOTALLY UNSAFE CARS. HOPE NHTSA INVESTIGATES PROBLEM & FORCES CHRYSLER TO OFFER CUSTOMERS REAL SOLUTIONS TO POTENTIALLY FATAL FLAW. *TR
