I WAS IN A REARENDED IN A COLLISION THAT THE DRIVER BEHIND ME WAS DRIVING 50-55MPH AND DID NOT SEE I WAS STOPPED FOR A LIGHT. PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF, WHILE A PASSENGER SITS IN THE SEAT. IT HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK, THERE'S A CHIME THAT HAPPENS PERIODICALLY AS WELL. HE SPOKE WITH THE REGIONAL OFFICE , WHICH INDICATED THAT AN ENGINEER MAY INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE THE RECOMMENDED REPAIR SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 147,000.
BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHTS TURN ON FOR EXTENDED PERIODS WHILE CAR IS OPERATION (FREQUENTLY RECURRING ISSUE), SHOWING THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE "TURNED OFF." TOOK BACK TO DEALER (BAKER CHRYSLER) IN PRINCETON AND THEY BASICALLY BRUSHED ME OFF AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. DRIVERS MANUAL STATES TO REPORT INCIDENT IMMEDIATELY. *JB
