I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER IN MAY BECAUSE I HEARD A WEIRD NOISE COMING FRONT THE BACK OF MY CAR WHEN I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES...THE DEALER STATED THE BREAKS NEEDED CLEANING. WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME, I HEARD HE NOISE AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER THE SECOND TIME THAT SAME DAY AND THE SUPERVISOR DENIED HEARING NOISES WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH ME. SUGGESTED IT NEEDED MORE CLEANING. THE DEALER "CLEANED" IT A LITTLE BIT MORE AND I WENT HOME. THREE WEEKS LATER THE NOISE APPEARED AGAIN. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER IN AUGUST, NOW TOLD ME THE NOISE IS COMING FROM BAD BRAKES IN THE FRONT. THEY CHARGED ME $200 TO CHANGE PADS AND ROTORS. WELL, TOOK IT HOME NEXT DAY WHILE DRIVING HEARD THE NOISE AGAIN. CALLED THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HEAR A NOISE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THEY SAID IT WAS COMMON SINCE THEIR WERE NEW MATERIALS ON THE CAR. SINCE THEN, THE NOISE IS STILL PRESENT. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. THE OTHER DEALER SAID NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, JUST HAS A NOISE, THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM. IF THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE CHANGED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WHY IS THE NOISE STILL THERE. *NM
IN NOVEMBER 2007 I HAD HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING LINES REPLACED DUE TO A RECALL. IN APRIL 2009 IT WAS RECHARGED DUE TO IT LEAKING AND BEING TOTALLY EMPTY. IT CONTINUED TO LEAK. I JUST WAS INFORMED THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME EXACT ONE THAT WAS REPLACED DURING THE RECALL. THE DEALER EXPLAINED THAT IT IS A BAD DESIGN FLAW AND THAT SOME OF THE REPLACED RECALLED PARTS DON'T EVEN LAST A YEAR! THE ESTIMATE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED DUE TO A RECALL IS OVER $600.00. I THOUGHT THE IDEA OF A RECALL WAS TO FIX THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE; NOT TO JUST DELAY THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE WARRANTY RUNS OUT. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN FOUR YEARS THAT I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THESE LINES. I LIVE IN NEW YORK AND THEY ARE NOT PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS. THEY NEED TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM AS WELL AS THE SAME PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY OCCURRING WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS THAT STILL DO NOT WORK PROPERLY IN THE WINTER MONTHS. SHOULD I CONTINUALLY BE CHARGED TO FIX SOMETHING THAT WAS NEVER FIXED PROPERLY FROM A RECALL? WHAT OTHER PARTS ARE UNPROTECTED THAT I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YET THAT MIGHT RESULT IN SOME MAJOR ACCIDENT. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY IN APRIL OF 2005 WITH ONLY 265 MILES ON IT. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF IN MAY OF 2005 AND CONTINUES TO DO SO EVEN THOUGH THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE PCM. THE DEALER IS SAYING THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPAIR THE CAR BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR GET CODE READINGS FROM THEIR COMPUTERS. MY VEHICLE'S PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON ALSO. *JB
DT CONSUMER STATES THAT THE AUTOMATIC SIDE PASSENGER DOOR ON THE VEHICLE OPENS AND CLOSES WITHOUT BEING ACCESSED TO DO SO. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED TWICE, BOTH TIMES THE SERVICE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. *TT
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED THAT H 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY WAS MAKING NOISE IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THE CONSUMER ALREADY HAD PROBLEMS WITH 2004 TOWN & COUNTRY WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE CONSUMER HAD TO GO THROUGH THE ARBITRATION PROCESS TO DECLARE 2004 TOWN & COUNTRY A LEMON. THEN ,CHRYSLER HAD TO BUY BACK THE VAN. THE CONSUMER THEN PURCHASED THE 2005 VEHICLE. THE MANAGER WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO GUARANTEE THAT THIS VAN WAS BETTER THAN THE LAST ONE. THE RACK & PINION ON THE 2004 VAN FAILED. THE 2005 VAN HAD THE SAME DEFECT. THE 2005 VAN WAS CONSIDERABLE NEW WITH LESS THAN 7,000 MILES. THIS PROBLEM WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT THEY WOULD LOOK AT THE VAN. THE MANAGER SAID THAT THEY WERE FURTHER ALONG WITH THIS VAN SINCE THEY HAD THE PROBLEM WITH THE LAST VAN. THE CONSUMER WAS ANGRY AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF THE RUN AROUND THEY GAVE HER ABOUT THIS ISSUE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE ON THE 2004 VAN, AND THEY SUGGESTED THE SHE CONTACT NHTSA CONCERNING THE 2005 VAN. THE CONSUMER SAYS THAT THE VAN WAS CURRENTLY LESS WORTH. DEALERSHIP WILL ONLY GIVE HER $19,000 INSTEAD OF THE $30,000 THAT SHE PAID FOR IT. CONSUMER DID NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS VAN. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT CHRYSLER WAS HAVING MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH RACK & PINION STEERING. *AK
DT: WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH THE ENGINE JUST STOPPED. BUT THE RADIO WAS STILL PLAYING. PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF ENGINE, AND THEN RESTARTED THE ENGINE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER . THEY DROVE IT 106, RAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST, AND CALLED MANUFACTURER. COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. CONSUMER REFUSED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST EVENT OCCURRED ON THE 6TH OF MAY. THE SECOND OCCURRED ON THE 9TH OF MAY.*AK
WE RENTED A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY (IT MAY HAVE BEEN A DODGE GARND CARAVAN, BUT THEY ARE THE SAME) FROM DOLLAR RENT A CAR IN AUSTIN TX. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN I-35 ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH OF AUSTIN, SOUTHBOUND. IT WAS RAINING MODERATELY AND WE DROVE IN SOME STANDING WATER IN THE LEFT LANE. THE WATER WAS THROWN FROM THE FRONT WHEELS ONTO THE WINDSHIELD AND FRONT SIDE WINDOWS! WE WERE DRIVING TOTALLY BLIND FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS UNTIL I PULLED OVER TO THE MIDDLE LANE OUT OF THE WATER. THIS WATER WAS NOT THROWN UP BY A TRUCK OR OTHER VEHICLE. THE STANDING WATER WAS NOT DEEP ENOUGH TO HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM IN MOST CARS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. YES, I HAVE HAD WATER THROWN ON THE WINDSHIELD WHILE PASSING A TRUCK, BUT NOT FROM MY OWN VEHICLE. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS. THERE ARE MANY FAMILIES TRAVELING IN THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE, AND THEY NEED NOT BE INJURED IF THIS PROBLEM IS RECTIFIED OR AT THE LEAST THE OWNERS ARE NOTIFIED. IT COULD PROBABLY BE EASILY CORRECTED WITH SOME TYPE OF FENDER FLARE. REGARDS, CORY MAYDEW
WE WERE ON A DRIVE AND MY HUSBAND WANTED TO LOOK AT A LAKE. WE PULLED UP ON THE BOAT RAMP TO PARK AS NO ONE WAS THERE. MY HUSBAND LEFT THE VAN AND WENT INTO THE STORE FOR A MAP. I WAS SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT WITH THE MOTOR TURNED OFF. ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD AN EXPLOSION AND THEN A SUBSEQUENT EXPLOSION. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY THE SOUND OF GLASS BREAKING. I TURNED AROUND AND SAW THAT THE REAR WINDOW OF MY VAN HAD SHATTERED. HUNDREDS OF TINY PIECES OF GLASS HAD FLOWN INTO THE REAR SEAT AREA. MY HUSBAND RETURNED TO THE VAN AND WE LOOKED AT THE REAR WINDOW FROM THE OUTSIDE. THERE WERE TWO HOLES IN THE WINDOW ABOUT MIDWAY BETWEEN TOP AND BOTTOM. THE ONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS ABOUT 4" IN DIAMETER AND APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL MECHANISM TO THE WINDOW HEATER WHICH NOW WAS DANGLING INSIDE THE VAN. THE OTHER HOLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS OVER THE WINDSHIELD WASHER MECHANISM AREA AND WAS ABOUT 6". LOOKING AROUND THE AREA, THE ONLY PERSON THAT COULD BE SEEN WAS A FISHERMAN 3/4 OF A MILE AWAY ON THIS REMOTE MOUNTAIN LAKE. BEING 3-4 HOURS FROM HOME AND LATE IN THE DAY WITH RAIN PREDICTED, MY HUSBAND PURCHASED A ROLL OF DUCT TAPE FROM THE FISHING RESORT GENERAL STORE. HE COMPLETELY COVERED WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE SHATTERED GLASS WHILE ENCOMPASSING THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW AREA AS WELL. WE DROVE HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. ON THE WAY HOME, ALL I COULD THINK OF WAS THE FACT THAT MY SMALL GRANDDAUGHTER HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN IN MY VAN IN A REAR-FACING CHILD SEAT. UPON RETURNING HOME, WE CONTACTED THE DEALER THAT SOLD US THE VAN. WE WERE TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT GLASS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND SUGGESTED WE CALL CHRYSLER. MY HUSBAND CALLED CHRYSLER AND SPOKE WITH JEFF ROSS. HE LISTENED AND AGAIN TOLD MY HUSBAND IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. OF COURSE, WE BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AS IT EXPLODED ON IT'S OWN, BUT OUR MAIN CONCERN IS THAT THE ISSUE BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT CAPABLE OF INJURING SOMEONE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT HEARD A RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY, DESPITE WHETHER THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION OR IDLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 32,600 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.
RENTED A CHRYSTLER TOWNE & COUNTRY MINIVAN 2005 AND DROPPED A BOTTLE CAP WHEN THE PASSENGER DOOR OPENENED. REACHED LEFT HAND SLIGHTLY UNDER RIGHT SIDE OF VAN AND MIDDLE OF ARM TOUCHED THE PIPE (EXHAUST PIPE?) HANGING DOWN RUNNING DOWN RIGHT SIDE OF VAN. THE PIPE IS ALL THE WAY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE. THERE IS NO WARNING SIGNS, NOR IS IT COVERED. I RECEIVED A VERY BAD BURN ON MY ARM. MY CONCERN IS WHY IS IT LOCATED SO FAR TO THE RIGHT (LOW) AND RUNNING ALL THE WAY DOWN THE VEHICLE (NOT UP UNDER THE VAN), AND THERE ARE NO WARNING SIGNS ANYWHERE. I AM VERY CONCERNED IF A CHILD RETRIEVED A BALL EVEN SLIGHTLY UNDER THE CAR THEY COULD GET SERIOUSLY INJURED. I AM NOW LEFT WITH A SERIOUS BURN AND SCARRING AND DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE LOCATION OF THIS PIPE. I ADVISED AVIS RENTAL CAR OF THE INJURY AND SHOWED THEM MY BURN AND THEY WERE GOING TO WRITE A LETTER (?). I WOULD NEVER EXPECT AN EXHAUST PIPE TO BE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE BY THE DRIVERS/PASSENGER DOOR, BUT I HEAR IT IS DUE TO THE "STOW N GO" SYSTEM AND THERE IS NO ROOM UP UNDERNEATH THE MINIVAN FOR THE EXHAUST PIPE.*AK
WE OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY TOURING VAN. AT APPROXIMATELY 16000 WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE RACK & PINION AND BALL JOINTS. IT WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM -- WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ITEMS IN THAT AREA SINCE THEN. WE HAVE ENJOYED OUR VEHICLE EXCEPT FOR THIS PROBLEM -- THE LATEST INCIDENT IS THE TIE ROD END NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000 MILES ON IT AT THIS TIME. *NM
I HAD JUST PICKED UP MY NEW VEHICLE FROM THE DEALER AND HAD ONLY 250 MILES ON IT. I WAS SIMPLY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SEEMED TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN BACK INTO GEAR. I QUICKLY PULLED OVER BUT EVERYTHING SEEMED OKAY. I CONTINUED ON AND QUICKLY DISCOVERED THE TRANSIMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING OUT OF LOW GEAR. I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER FOR CHRYSLER ROAD SERVICE ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO CONTRACTED SERVICE PROVIDERS IN THE AREA WHERE I WAS. I MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER (<10 MILES AWAY). THE PROBLEM TURNED OUT TO BE A FAILED POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE. IT'S BEEN A WEEK AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM BECAUSE NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I'VE BEEN GIVEN A PROMISE DATE THAT IS ALMOST 3 WEEKS OUT.*AK
2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH AIRBAG SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS, THE MAIN COMPUTER, AND THE DASH BOARD GAUGES.***NO ANSWER REQUIRED***. *MR THE AIR BAG MALFUNCTION OCCURRED ON THE SAME DAY THE CONSUMER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. *JB
USED LEFT BLINKER, BLINKER BEGAN TO BLINK ERRATICALLY, THEN THE RIGHT BLINKER STARTED TO WORK (WITH THE BLINKER ARM SET FOR THE LEFT). *TR
JEEP USED A VERY POOR QUALITY MATERIAL FOR 2005 LIBERTY SEATS. DID SUPPLIER TEST MATERIAL BEFORE APPROVING IT? I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SITUATION. SEATS STAIN WITH WATER, I AM NOT ABLE TO CLEAN IT, THE LEADING TRADEMARK DOES NOT CLEAN, THE STAINS GETS BIGGER. I WANT JEEP TO REPLACE OR REFUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF COVER SEATS. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR PROMPT ANSWER. THANKS. *JB
THE SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON WHILE DRIVING. DRIVER TOOK VEHICLETO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK PHONE INTERVIEW UPDATE (OCT 26, 2005): MRS. FINN SAID THAT THE DEALER TOLD HER THAT THE SENSOR IS NEAR THE FRONT BUMPER. THEY DID THE REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY AND DID NOT PROVIDE A REPAIR INVOICE.
DT: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON AND WENT OFF INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. *AK UPDATED 11/15/2005 - THE MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED REPLACING THE WIRING HARNESS AND CONTROL MODULE. . *NM
2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY LIFTGATE WAS BEING CLOSED USING AUTOMATIC CLOSING MECHANISM. HUSBAND STEPPED AROUND CARD AND LIFTGATE CRASHED ONTO HIS HEAD AT CONSIDERABLE FORCE CRACKING OPEN HIS HEAD AND REQUIRING 5 STAPLES TO HIS HEAD. HE IS 6' 5" AND 200 LBS, I WOULD HATE TO SEE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF IT WAS MY 4 YEAR OLD WHOM HAD BEEN HIT. CHRYSLER TOUTED THE SAFETY OF THE AUTOMATIC DOORS UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE STATING THAT EVEN A FINGERTIP WOULD CAUSE THE DOORS TO RETRACT. I AM CONTACTING CHRYSLER TO INFORM THEM OF THIS POSSIBLE DEFECT OR AT LEAST TO WARN CONSUMERS OF THE DANGERS. I WILL NOT BE USING THE AUTOMATIC FEATURE ANY FURTHER.*AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. WHILE TRAVELING AT 30 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT, LEFT AIR BAG SENSOR. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITHIN ONE YEAR. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT AIR BAG SENSORS. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITHIN THREE YEARS. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT IMPACT SENSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SERVICED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
MY CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY LTD MINIVAN (BOUGHT NEW IN JULY 2001) SUFFERED SUDDEN AND COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE IN MARCH 2005. THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT HAD COME ON ONE DAY PRIOR - NO TIME TO EVEN SCHEDULE FOR SERVICE. A MODERATELY AUDIBLE WHINE HAD BEEN NOTICED FOR A MONTH OR SO PRIOR WHILE DRIVING BUT HAD NO REASON TO SUSPECT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE HAD BEEN SERVICED BY DEALERSHIP RELIGIOUSLY, INCLUDING FULL TRANSMISSION SERVICE AS RECOMMENDED. WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WENT, IT WENT OUT WITH A LOUD BANG - THEN LOST ALL POWER. COASTED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT LUCKILY. THE MINIVAN HAD 49,000 MILES ON IT. CAME WITH ALL OPTIONS INCLUDING TOWING PACKAGE, BUT I NEVER TOWED ANYTHING - NO TOW BAR INSTALLED. THIS DOES NOT SAY MUCH FOR CHRYSLER QUALITY. I IMAGINE IF I HAD BEEN TOWING A BOAT OCCASIONALLY THE TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE FAILED MUCH SOONER. MY COST FOR REPAIRS WAS ABOUT $2,500. I WOULD LIKE TO BE NOTIFIED IF CHRYSLER EVER STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND OFFERS TO REIMBURSE THOSE WHO LOST TRANSMISSIONS PREMATURELY. TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD LAST AT LEAST 100,000 MILES - I DON'T CARE WHAT THE WARRANTY SAYS. THAT IS A COP OUT. WITHOUT SOME REIMBURSEMENT I WILL NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER AGAIN. THIS WAS MY FIRST AND PROBABLY MY LAST. *JB
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR MONITOR BEGAN FLASHING A MESSAGE IN MARCH, 2008 THAT TIRE PRESSURE WAS LOW. MECHANIC CHECKED AND TIRES WERE FINE. HAD A FLAT TIRE (PUNCTURE) LATER THAT MONTH AND WHEN I TOOK CAR IN, MECHANIC SUGGESTED REPLACING ALL FOUR TIRES AS THEY WERE THE ORIGINAL TIRES ON THE VEHICLE AND HAD 65,000 MILES ON THEM. WHEN THEY WENT TO REPLACE THE TIRES, HAD AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE OF $300.00 BECAUSE THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS HAD SEIZED AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED! THREE HAD TO BE REPLACED! ONLY ONE WAS REMOVABLE. UPON A CALL TO THE DEALER WAS TOLD THAT THIS SOMETIMES HAPPENS BECAUSE PEOPLE PUT AIR IN THEIR TIRES AT UNKNOWN LOCATIONS AND THEY CAN INTRODUCE MOISTURE IN THE SYSTEM. TOOK IT BACK ON MARCH 11TH 2005 BECAUSE THE REMOTE START FOR THE CAR WOULD START THE CAR FOR TWO SECONDS THEN CUT OFF, THEN START AGAIN FOR TWO SECONDS, THEN CUT AGAIN,ECT. THE CAR DEALER SHOP REPAIRED THE PROBLEM THAT DAY. AFTER I TOOK THE CAR HOME, THE REMOTE STOPPED WORKING AFTER TWO DAYS. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE CAR DEALER. THEY SAID THEY REPLACED A PART AGAIN. HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE BECAUSE " THAT'S THE WAY CHRYSLER BUILDS ITS CARS". I CALLED CHRYSLERS CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND WAS TOLD THAT WE SHOULD ALWAYS RIDE WITH CHILD SAFETY LOCK ON. THIS DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT THERE IS A SERIOUS DEFECT WITH THEIR SLIDING DOORS. WHINING NOISE WHEN DRIVING MY 05 TOWN AND COUNTRY MINIVAN. THE PROBLEM STARTED A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT. MY SLEEPING SON WAS ALLOWED TO FALL FORWARD IN HIS BOOSTER SEAT BECAUSE THE SEAT BELT DID NOT CATCH. THE SERVICING DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THAT THE FRONT SEAT BELTS AND THE 2ND/3RD ROW SEAT BELTS ARE OF DIFFERENT DESIGN. CHRYSLER WAS UNRESPONSIVE.*AK
UPON MERGING BACK ONTO THE HIGHWAY CONSUMER OVER CORRECTED THE STEERING WHEEL. TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM THE CONSUMER DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND TURNED INTO THE SKID. THE BRAKES LOCKED UP AND THE TRUCK CRASHED INTO A MOUNTAIN HEAD ON, THEN ROLLED OVER TWICE. NONE OF THE TRUCKS AIR BAGS DEPLOYED UPON IMPACT. THE TRUCK SUSTAINED SEVERE FRONTAL DAMAGE AND THE WINDOWS BUSTED OUT, EXCEPT FOR THE FRONT WINDSHIELD, AND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE DRIVER DIDN'T SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES.
