LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT CAUGHT FIRE WHEN TURNING ON TURN SIGNAL. WE USED FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO CONTROL THE FIRE. WYNNEWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE ARRIVED TO THE SCENE AFTER IT. INSURANCE COMPANY INFORMED AS WELL AS CHRYSLER. FORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED CLOSE TO OUR HOME. FIRE WAS NEAR THE GAS TANK. THIS IS A TOWN AND COUNTRY LIMITED EDITION MINIVAN, 2006, WITH ONLY 18,000 MILES. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY THAT HAS A BRAKING SYSTEM THAT IS TOO SMALL FOR THE SIZE OF THE VAN. I AM ON MY THIRD SET OF FRONT BRAKES AND MY SECOND SET OF REAR BRAKES. THIS WAS ALL DONE BEFORE 36,000 MILES. I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE WHO USED TO BE A CHRYSLER SERVICE MANAGER AND HE STATED THAT CHRYSLER INSTALLED A BRAKING SYSTEM THAT IS TOO SMALL FOR THE VAN WHICH CAUSES THE BRAKES TO WEAR OUT FASTER. I SEE THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT IS BECOMING QUITE EXPENSIVE. HAVE THERE BEEN ANY OTHER REPORTS LIKE THIS? I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE TO ANSWER WHY THEY DID THIS. I ALSO BELIEVE THE REAR CAPTAIN'S SEATS IN THE VAN HAVE TOO STEEP OF A DECLINE ANGLING TOWARDS THE POINT WHERE THE BACK AND THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT MEET TO PROPERLY INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEATS. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO LEVEL OUT THE CAR SEATS FOR MY KIDS. NO OTHER VAN HAS SEATS THAT ARE SIMILAR TO THIS. *TR
WEEK OF 5/27/13 POWER STEERING GROANING. I'M GETTING READY FOR THE RACK TO GO AGAIN. FLUID NOT LOW YET. FIRST TIME RACK LEAKED ALL FLUID OUT WAS IN 08, VAN STILL UNDER WARRANTY SO IT WAS REPLACED. A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER IT LEAKED ALL FLUID OUT AND RACK REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE (AROUND $800 HERE). NOW I'M PREPPING FOR A 3RD GO AROUND. THIS IS CRAZY I HAVE OTHER AUTOS THAT ARE 20 YEARS OLD THAT I FINALLY REPLACED THE PS PUMP ON ONE OF THEM (AND NOT A 800 DOLLAR RACK). *TR
OVER THE YEARS WE'VE LEFT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND THE BATTERY HAS GONE DEAD. CHRYSLER HAD CHECKED IT OUT SEVERAL TIMES AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. WE'VE REPLACED THE BATTERY TWICE. THE FIRST BATTERY LEAKED AND DESTROYED THE HARNESS, WHICH CHRYSLER PAID PART OF. THE SECOND HAD PARTIAL REPLACEMENT. MY OPINION IS SOMETHING IS WRONG. THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF AFTER 15 MINUTES, SO THE BATTERY SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE DEAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 4 TIMES. WE HAD TO CHARGE THE BATTERY NUMEROUS TIMES. WE LEARNED TO TAKE THE KEY COMPLETELY OUT. WE'RE NOT SURE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT WE WANT THE PROBLEM DOCUMENTED. THE PROBLEM HAS NEVER BEEN SOLVED. SINCE WE'VE BEEN FORTUNATE NOT TO HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT, I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE AIRBAGS ARE FUNCTIONAL ALONG WITH OTHER THINGS. THE DATES ARE OFF, BUT CHRYSLER KNOWS WHEN WE WHERE THERE. *TR
WE PURCHASED ON 11/06/07 A USED 2006 TOWN AND COUNTRY FROM VIN DEVERS (419-885-5111) IN TOLEDO OHIO. WE ALSO BOUGHT A SERVICE CONTRACT AND THE 8 YEAR 80K MILE WARRANTY AS THIS VEHICLE WOULD BE OUR FAMILY CAR. WE HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN. THE FIRST TIME WE USED THE AC (05/19/08) WE DISCOVERED IT DIDN'T WORK. IT ONLY BLEW WARM AIR. WE CALLED VIN DEVERS AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED SO WE TRIED ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN THE AREA. THEY TOO EXPLAINED IT WAS NOT COVERED. BOTH DEALERSHIP ADVISED NOT TO TAKE IT TO THE OTHER DEALERSHIP. AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH BOTH DEALERSHIPS AND BEING TOTALLY CONFUSED WE FINALLY GAVE UP AND PAID FOR THE REPAIRS OURSELVES. I LATER CALLED CHRYSLER'S SERVICE CENTER IN AUBURN HILLS AND THEY EXPLAINED THE REPAIRS SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED. I AM NOW WORKING WITH THE SERVICE CENTER TO HAVE THE MONEYS REFUNDED. THIS HAS BEEN A TOTAL MESS FROM THE INITIAL PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE AND I WOULD LIKE SOME ASSISTANCE. THE REPAIRS WERE FOR THE REAR EVAPORATOR COILS AND ALL NEW HOSES AND COSTED $670
POWER STEERING RACK FAILURE AT 38,000 MILES. WHINE ON START-UP. LEAK DISCOVERED WHEN CAR WAS INSPECTED. MECHANIC SAYS IT IS OCCURRING ON LOTS OF THESE VANS AND THE PARTS ARE BACK-ORDERED THE PROBLEM IS SO BAD. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. SHORTLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, THE BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOWED TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES. THE DEALER HAS HAD THE VEHICLE A TOTAL OF 42 DAYS SINCE THE DATE OF PURCHASE. ON APRIL 20, 2008, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY TRAVEL 40 MPH BEFORE IT SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY ANY FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,120.
ROOF BEGAN TO LEAK WHEN CAR WAS ABOUT 1 YEAR OLD. LEAKS PASSENGER SIDE MAINLY OCC. DRIVERS SIDE. DEALER REPLACED PASS SIDE MOON ROOF DRAIN TUBE - DID NOT FIX LEAK. RAINS SELDOM IN SO. CAL. SO PROBLEM NOT NOTICED DURING DRY SEASON. THERE IS NOW INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL FAILURES SUCH AS AIR-BAG LIGHTS GOING ON. UNABLE TO TURN ON HEADLAMPS AT TIMES. *TR
2006 T&C ROTORS/PADS NEEDED REPLACEMENT AT 21,000 MILES....DEALER CLAIMS VAN IS HEAVY AND I WAS LUCKY TO GET THAT MUCH MILEAGE! SHOULDN'T CHRYSLER PUT A PROPER BRAKE IN THEIR "HEAVY" VAN OR AT LEAST DESIGN THE REPLACEMENT BRAKE TO END THIS PROBLEM? $30,000 VAN-AND I SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SWERVED TO THE LEFT AND THE CONTACT COULD NOT CONTROL THE VEHICLE. HE APPLIED THE BRAKES, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SWERVE. THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESPOND TO THE BRAKING SYSTEM. HE SLID OFF THE PAVED ROAD AND INTO A DIRT ROAD, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN AND GRADUALLY STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE FRONT CONTROL ARM ON THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL WAS DETACHED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER, BUT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 24,000.
THE VAN WAS PURCHASED USED IN 2007 WITH APPROXIMATELY 4,000 MILES FROM FLEMINGTON CHRYSLER IN NJ. AT APPROXIMATELY 10,000 MILES, THE RACK WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING AND IT WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. SOON AFTER, THE STEERING SEEMED A LITTLE TIGHT BUT WE CHALKED IT UP TO THE NEW COMPONENTS. FAST FORWARD TO 2012, THE VAN NOW HAS 80,000 MILES AND THE STEERING HAS BEGUN TO WHINE, GROAN AND SHUDDER. I HAVE FLUSHED THE FLUID AND NOW REPLACED THE PUMP. THE WHINE AND SHUDDER ARE STILL THERE SO IT LOOKS LIKE THE RACK HAS FAILED AGAIN. THE VAN CAN EASILY BECOME A SAFETY PROBLEM AND CHRYSLER SHOULD BE ASHAMED. DEFINITELY THE LAST CHRYSLER PRODUCT I BUY WHICH IS TOO BAD BECAUSE THEY'VE PUT OUT SOME REALLY UNIQUE, GOOD LOOKING CARS LATELY. MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IS MORE IMPORTANT THANKS. *TR
DURING THE PAST 4 YEARS I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULBS COUTLESS TIMES. I JUST THOUGHT THAT THE BULBS BURNT OUT NOT REALLY QUESTIONING THE FREQUENCY OF REPLACENTMENT. HOWEVER, AFTER REALIZING THE SOCKETS WERE BEING BURNT OUT AND REPLACEING THE SOCKET FROM THE REMAINING ONES AVAILABLE AND HAD NO MORE. I DECEIDED TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BUY NEW SOCKETS FOR THE REAR LIGHTS THAT CONTROLED THE TURN SIGNALS AND STOP LIGHTS. I WAS TOLD BY THE DON-A-VEE CHRY DEALERSHIP THAT THE ONLY WAY TO REPLACE WAS TO BUY THE WHOLE LIGHTING UNIT. THEY THEN INFORMED ME THAT THERE WERE NUMERIOUS CONPLAINTS REGARDING THE BURNING OUT OF LIGHT BULBS AND THE DEALERSHIP HAD REPLACED THE UNITS IF THE VAN WAS UNDER WARRENTIY. I AM A SINGLE MOM AND WAS NOT THAT EDUCATED ON ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO THINK SOMETHING COULD BE WRONG. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY AFTER INSTALLING NEW BACK TAIL LIGHTS, I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO AFFORD THE TWO REAR UNITS AND INSTALLED THEM. I WAS PLEASE TO A HAVE ALL MY LIGHTS WORKING AGAIN. HOWEVER, TO MY DISMAY 2 DAYS AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THE UNITS I FIND THAT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. THE VEHICLE BACK TAIL LIGHT UNIT HAS BLOWN YET ANOTHER BULB. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS IT CAN CAUSE THE SAFTY HAZARD LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS AND BACK UP LIGHTS NOT TO WORK PROPERLY. THIS IN TURN CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT AND POSSIBLY FIRE IN THE CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. NO WHERE IS IT POSSIBLE TO JUST BUY THE LIGHT SOCKETS . I HAVE CONNACTED SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS AND HAVE LOOKED ON LINE. I HAVE GONE TO MANY AUTO STORES TO FIND A REPLACEMENT LIGHT SOCKET BUT TO NO AVAIL. I CAN NOT AFFORD THE REPLACEMENTS OF THESE TAIL LIGHT UNITS OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN. HELP.... *TR
POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONS ON MY CHRYSLER 2006 TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE GEAR FOR THE RACK AND PINION STEERING AND THE CRANKCASE VENT VALVE WERE REPLACED IN MARCH 2008. IT IS NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND FIX THEM CORRECTLY. *TR
AIRBAG FAULT LIGHT ILLUMINATED AT 36,400 MILES. VEHICLE IN SERVICE FOR 27 MONTHS. DEALER REPLACED 2 SENSORS AND 2 WIRING HARNESSES. DEALER DID NOT CHARGE FOR REPAIR, CITING "1-TIME OUT OF WARRANTY GOODWILL" FOR REPAIR. *TR
1) LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. FILLED TIRES, WHICH WERE WITHIN 1-2 PSI OF RECOMMENDATION, TO FULL PSI. LIGHT REMAINED ON. FILLED TIRES AGAIN. LIGHT WENT OFF. ONE WEEK LATER, SAME OCCURRENCE. TOOK TO DEALER, TIRES WERE FILLED AGAIN. LIGHT IS OFF. 2) ONE WEEK AFTER 23 POINT INSPECTION, AND FOR TWO WEEKS BRAKE AND AIR BAG LIGHTS FLICKERED MOMENTARILY WHEN TURNING THE CAR ON AND WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, WHICH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY A CESSATION OF RADIO/CD TRANSMISSION/SOUND. WITHIN THE LAST FOUR DAYS, ALL WARNING LIGHTS FLICKER IN BOTH OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED SITUATIONS WITH RESULTANT RADIO/CD SOUND CUT-OFF. YESTERDAY, 2/23/08, I LEFT THE DOOR AND LIGHTS ON FOR 3 MINUTES (TOOK KEYS OUT OF IGNITION) TO HELP A FRIEND INTO HER HOUSE. UPON RETURNING TO VEHICLE, AND TURNING THE KEYS TO START THE VEHICLE, NOTHING WORKED, NO SOUNDS EMITTED. IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD. I AM NOW CHECKING THE BATTERY AND THE ELECTRICAL BOX AND GETTING THE VAN READY TO BE TOWED TO DEALER. THE CONTRACT WITH THIS LEASE CAR WILL END MAY 30, 2008. *TR
THE STEERING RACK ON MY 2006 CHRYSLER VAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, SINCE IT WAS LEAKING. THE VAN HAD 39,006 MILES ON IT. I HAVE MY OIL CHANGED EVERY 3,000 MILES. THE STEERING RACK WAS NOT LEAKING AT THE LAST OIL CHANGE. CHRYSLER STATED MY VAN WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIR WHICH WAS $570.00. *TR
WHENEVER HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED ON, OR THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON, THE LIGHTS DIM AND THE BRIGHTEN REPEATEDLY. *TR
MY 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY HAD A TERRIBLE WHINING NOISE UPON STARTING IT. WHEN YOU WOULD TURN CORNERS, IT WHINED EVEN LOUDER. IT CONSTANTLY LEAKED POWER STEERING FLUID SO BAD THAT IT WAS ALL OVER THE EXHAUST. I TOOK MY VAN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED TO FIND OUT THAT THE WHOLE STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY THEN ADVISED ME TO TAKE MY VAN HOME AND DRIVE IT TO FLORIDA WHILE WAITING UP TO 6 MONTHS FOR A REPLACEMENT STEERING RACK FROM CHRYSLER. I REFUSED TO DO THIS. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD. POWER STEERING FLUID WAS LEAKING ALL OVER THE EXHAUST OF THE VAN, AND THEY WANTED ME TO TAKE IT ON A 12 HOUR DRIVE TO FLORIDA! I TOLD MY DEALER I WOULD NOT LEAVE THE DEALERSHIP WITH THIS VEHICLE, NOR WOULD I PUT MY 3 SMALL CHILDREN (ALL UNDER AGE 3) IN THIS FIRE TRAP. THEY GAVE ME A LOANER. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN, AND I WOULD HOPE THAT THE NHTSA WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP CONSUMERS OUT. THE DEALERSHIP EVEN SAID THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. THERE WERE OVER 13000 OF THESE "STEERING RACKS" ON BACK ORDER WITH CHRYSLER. WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN POWERING STEERING FLUID GETS ALL OVER THE EXHAUST, CATCHES THE VEHICLE ON FIRE, AND AN ENTIRE FAMILY DIES IN A BURNING VEHICLE. IS THIS WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO GET CHRYSLER TO DO SOMETHING. I WOULD HOPE NOT, BUT IT LOOKS THAT WAY, LUCKILY MY DEALER GAVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE, AND WITHIN ABOUT 5 DAYS, I HAD THE POWER STEERING RACK REPLACED. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A SAFETY HAZARD. POWER STERRING FLUID IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. IT IS TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. CHRYSLER OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT CARE! THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE AND HOPEFULLY, QUICK ACTION THAT IS NEEDED. CRYSTAL
WHINNING-NOSIES FROM POWER STEERING UNIT OR RACK. THE FLUID IS FULL ,BUT THE UNIT MAKES A NOISE LIKE IT'S OUT OF FLUID. THE NOISE IS GETTING A LOT WORSE. *CN
I STARTED HAVING A WHINING NOISE WHEN I STARTED BUT MY 2006 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. NOW THE NOISE HAS GOTTEN LOUDER AND CONTINUES WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID I NEED A NEW RACK AND PINION, HOSES, RESERVOIR AND POWER STEERING PUMP. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR THESE VANS AND CHRYSLER KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THEY SEE A LOT OF THESE IN. PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY BUILDS UP WITH BRAKE DUST CAUSING REAR WHEELS TO MAKE A "HONING" SOUND. I HAVE BEEN TO THE SHOP 3 TIMES IN 2 MONTHS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. MY CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY (2006) ONLY HAS 17000 MILES ON IT AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULD JUST HAVE TO HAVE IT "CLEANED AND LUBED" AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO THAT WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. PLEASE HELP ME TO FIX THIS ANNOYANCE. *TR

MY 2006 TOWN AND COUNTRY HAD TO HAVE POWER STEERING WORKED ON IN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNING IT , BUT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY...JUST SOO EVERYONE'S AWARE IF THE DEALERS MECHANICS SEE A PROBLEM UNDER THE HOOD, BUT YOU DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT IT THEY AREN'T ALLOWED TO MENTION IT . SO THAT MEANS IF YOU HAD YOUR CAR INTO DEALER AND THEY SAW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR POWERSTEERING, BUT YOU DON'T COMPLAIN THEY WILL NOT GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE PROBLEM. *TR
I MADE A U TURN AND THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH RESULTING IN INJURY OR DEATH. I HEARD A LOUD POP WHILE FORCING THE STEERING WHEEL BACK TO THE NORMAL DRIVING POSITION. I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON. I WAS UNABLE TO GET THEM TO TURN OFF, SO I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CHRYSLER/JEEP DEALERSHIP SINCE IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THEY SAID THAT THE AFTERMARKET BRAKE CONTROL WIRING HARNESS WAS ROUTED TOO CLOSE TO THE STEERING COLUMN. THE KNUCKLE ON THE STEERING COLUMN PULLED ON THE WIRING HARNESS WHICH PULLED ON BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND BROKE SWITCH LOOSE FROM IT'S MOUNT. THIS INTURN ACTIVATED THE STEERING WHEEL INTERLOCK SYSTEM. THE DEALER SAID REPAIRS COULD NOT BE DONE UNDER WARRANTY AND ANY REPAIRS WERE AT MY EXPENSE. I AUTHORIZED THEM TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT AND INTERLOCK SYSTEM SWITCH. VEHICLE HEAD LIGHTS DO NOT TURN ON; AFTER STARTING VEHICLE WE SWITCHED ON THE HEADLIGHTS AND NOTHING HAPPENED. SOMETIMES WE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND STARTED IT AGAIN AND THEY WOULD MAGICALLY COME ON. SOMETIMES WE FLIPPED THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH A DOZEN TIMES AND THEY MAGICALLY COME ON. THE CONDITION WOULD NOT HAPPEN WHEN WE WOULD TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE. THE HIGH BEAMS WOULD WORK IF WE PULLED THE LEVER TOWARDS THE DRIVERS SEAT. THERE WERE MANY TIMES WE WOULD BE OUT AFTER DARK, GO TO LEAVE AND HAVE NO HEADLIGHTS AND THE LIGHTS WOULD WORK WHEN WE TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE. WE WERE FINALLY ABLE TO GET IT IN THIS PAST SUMMER WHEN THE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING; THE HEADLIGHTS BEGAN SHUTTING OFF WHILE WE WERE DRIVING THE VEHICLE SO WERE ABLE TO GET IN WHEN THE CONDITION EXISTED. THE MECHANIC SAID THE BOTTOM OF THE FUSE BOX WAS CORRODED (A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL HE TOLD US) AND A LOT OF THE WIRES RUNNING INTO THE FUSE BOX WERE CORRODED AND THE BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH SOME WIRING HARNESS. AFTER REPLACING THE FUSE BOX AND SOME OF THE HARNESS. THE HEADLIGHTS STILL DID NOT WORK FOR THE MECHANIC. HE THEN REPLACED THE SWITCH AND HEADLIGHTS BEGAN WORKING. THE HEADLIGHT PROBLEM IS A COMMON PROBLEM WE ARE TOLD. WE HAVE PAID ALMOST $800.00 FOR THIS 'FIX' THAT HAS PLAGUED THIS VEHICLE FOR YEARS AND WERE ABLE TO FINALLY DIAGNOSE 'AFTER' THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, WHILE RISKING OUR LIVES. THE FRUSTRATION OF TRYING TO GET SOMEWHERE WITH THE LIGHTS SHUTTING OFF, WHILE DRIVING; OR GOING SOMEWHERE NOT TO HAVE HEAD LIGHTS TURN ON; HAVING TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS WAS/IS UNSAFE TO OUR FAMILY AND OTHER DRIVERS. *TR

I WAS DRIVING MY ELDERLY PARENTS AROUND SEATTLE WHEN I STARTED NOTICING THAT MY FRONT BRAKES WERE GRINDING, TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LES SCHUAB TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND FOUND THAT MY PADS WERE GONE, METAL TO METAL WITH THE ROTORS. THERE WERE ONLY 22,000 MILES ON THE CAR AT THE TIME AND FAILURE OF THE BRAKES WAS PREMATURE. IT WAS ALSO NOTED BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE PADS INSTALLED BY THE FACTORY DID NOT HAVE WEAR INDICATORS TO LET THE DRIVER KNOW WHEN THE BRAKES WERE GOING BAD.
